Though seemingly well-mannered and polite, Kuja hides a tendency for sadism and sociopathy. Behind his theatrics lies a sharp mind and even sharper tongue. Kuja is scheming, ambitious, and immoral. He is above nothing in pursuit of his goals.
PAWNS
Genesis Rhapsodos - A beautiful poet that Kuja met at an opera. They bonded over theater, poetry, and revenge before ending their night intimately. Kuja would happily use him to indulge his hedonism in the future. Zidane Tribal - Kuja's younger counterpart, Kuja generally regards him with something between malice and indifference. With his memories finally accounted for, Kuja isn't sure whether to hold him in disdain or respect. He's settled on annoyed apathy. Mikoto - A young genome granted a soul by Garland. She idolized Kuja, regarding him as the liberator of Terra. Despite his cold dismissal, Kuja relies on her ingenuity. Though he'll never admit it, he's grown fond of her company. Lady Hildagarde Fabool - The regentess of Lindblum and a brilliant mage whom Kuja once held captive. Despite their complicated history, they've chosen to strike up a cautious correspondence and a professional partnership.
ENEMIES
Caius Dragelion - A mercenary and fledgling dragontamer that Kuja met in the catacombs of the Metaia Temple. Kuja considers him an idiot and holds a deep hatred for him. Garnet til Alexandros XVII - As the queen of the kingdom of Alexandria, Garnet stands firm against any who might threaten it. She is arguably the single person whom Kuja has hurt the most, and despite their cool truce, there will never be peace between them.
OTHER
Yuna - A young summoner and white mage that Kuja met in the Headstone Forest. He has considered if she might be of worth to him

@tidus -- Upon parting with Zidane in Sonora, Kuja approaches the World Sight in a foul mood and with even fouler intentions. Motivated purely by spite, Kuja slaughters the tomb's guards so as to betray Zidane's trust and gain access to the ruins beneath. He is interrupted by an alarmed Tidus and quickly disposes of him. Inside, Kuja finds the secrets to the Dragon's Gate.

@dust2 -- Kuja's magical alarms are triggered as he's putting the finishing touches on his black mage prototypes. He leaves to investigate the disturbance only to find that the intruder is the black mage who stayed with Zidane. The black mage confronts him eventually ending in a full-on fight that ends only when Vivi casts doomsday, nearly killing both himself and Kuja. Kuja believes that Vivi might hold the key to his missing memories and saves the mage's life, dragging him back to his desert lair on the back of his dragon.
@dust2 -- Upon saving the black mage's life, Kuja demands answers from him about his lost memories. @dust2 , Aria Diotisalvi -- After learning of his final fate, Kuja is overtaken by a terrible lethargy that threatens to consume him. An intrusion interrupts his brooding, and he chooses to address it without his makeup or armor, exposing his tail. As it turns out, Nero has returned and met Vivi. Rem Tokimiya , Caius Dragelion , @vossler -- On the way to abandon Vivi and seek Zidane, Kuja receives a a summons from Chaos to the zombie-infested ruins of Metaia. Kuja delves into the catacombs with three unwilling allies, driven by morbid curiosity towards the Lich.

Yuna -- Kuja must find his way out of the Headstone Forest after being stranded there without his dragon. The forest confronts him with a vision of Garland which he dismisses with a flare. This attracts the attention of a certain young summoner who rushes to his aid. They travel together, sharing interests in art and magic, until they once again find the path.
Gilgamesh! -- While searching for lost knowledge within the undead-infested Metaia Temple, Kuja comes across a brash and moronic swordsman who claims to be a master of his craft. Much to Kuja's disdain, they join forces. Shenanigans ensue.

With that done, Kuja is granted his artifact with more than a few thoughts along with it.
@blacksuit4 -- Kuja feels a psychic disturbance as he's flying over the Headstone Forest. A genome reaches out to him, and he lands to meet it to satisfy his own curiosity. @blacksuit4 -- In order to continue training Mikoto, Kuja constructs a makeshift monster arena in the Reikin Sands. They discover that while Mikoto doesn't usually have the will to command deadly magic, she'll fall into a fury of magic if Kuja is threatened. He asks her to guard him in the future in order to exploit this.
@blacksuit4 -- Mikoto and Kuja frequent Torensten's Festival of Life together, Kuja in search of magical artifacts and Mikoto out of curiosity of the culture. She wonders as to the nature of love, and Kuja tells her that it's a pointless and destructive emotion felt only by idiots. They see a play together which only confirms that notion, and Kuja suspects that he might enjoy her company.
Kimahri Ronso -- Kuja journeys by dragon to the summits of Mt Hotan in search of a rare flower that is said to be a powerful alchemical ingredient. While there, he is confronted by a strange beastman who is inexplicably hostile towards him. The beast triggers an avalanche during their conflict, and Kuja barely escapes.
@ladyhilda -- While perusing the arts garden outside the University of the Magi, Kuja comes across an old captive, Lady Hilda of Fabool. Still, her kindness and patience wins out, and he tolerates her company until she delivers him a personal letter and bids him farewell.
@blacksuit4 -- Kuja is driven to sleepless obsession over Hilda's letter. He questions his own perception and her sanity as she wrote him secret words of grief and admiration. When he tries to clear his head, he is accompanied by Mikoto who does her best to offer advice. Kuja confides in her, and together they resolve to find a way to stop his impending death.
@ladyhilda -- Though he was given a mechanical bird to continue their correspondence via letter, Kuja decides to follow the bird instead and meet Lady Hilda in person. He happens upon her Mt Hotan's food and wine fair, and they agree upon a partnership in matters of magical engineering and perhaps to a more personal relationship.
@blacksuit4 -- After a short search, Kuja finds Mikoto asleep in an abandoned underground bunker within Kahiko Valley. She explains her research on his condition as well as her plans -- to find some technology within the lost civilization which may cure him. They delve into the underground labyrinth together before deciding on their future roles, Kuja as the magical strength and Mikoto as the brains of the operation. Their relationship grows more positive as they each finally share their deepest traumas and doubts with the other.

@douken , @ariacanus -- At the illegal fighting ring, Douken angers the ringmaster, causing chaos. Douken, Faris, and the black mage Aria fight off their attackers and foil a nefarious plot. Once the fight is done, Faris runs off after an argument with Douken.
Eillien Blaires -- Depressed and on his own, Faris wanders into a bar in Provo and runs into Eillien. After a talk in her hotel room, Faris' doubles down in his convictions to find the Warrior of Light.
Lala -- After the Warrior accidentally helped released the dragons beneath Torensten, Faris stumbles into him in a town outside of the Metaia Temple. Elated to meet him again, Faris offers him a round of drinks.
Ace - Back in Torensten, Faris finally gives up his quest to defeat Chaos. Feeling depressed, he decides to cheer himself up by challenging a bard to a battle of music. A boy approaches him afterwards and, spurned to action, Faris takes him on a wild boat ride.
@lennatycoon -- Dejected, Faris wanders Torensten until he finds a familiar face. He rushes to Lenna's aid, horrified by her amnesia, until he prompts her to remember him. He takes her somewhere safe to discuss their shared past.
@lennatycoon - The two sisters run low on money, spurning them to take on jobs far more dangerous than Faris would like for his sister. Though he rejects her attempts at first, she eventually convinces him to let her come along as a mercenary in training.
@fox - While out taking a break from his time with Lenna, Faris comes across a drowned woman in the sea and rescues her. Though she seems hostile against him, Faris is determined to help her.
@bartz - Faris is out drinking with a gang of pirates when one of them attacks the bartender. Faris breaks up the fight only to discover that the bartender is an amnesiac Bartz. Though he shows resistance, Faris drags him off so they can stick together with Lenna.
@bartz , @lennatycoon - Faris drags an amnesiac Bartz back to the room he and Lenna are sharing despite his protests. The two meet with Lenna and try to restore Bartz' memories to no avail.
@krile - Faris wakes to find both Bartz and Lenna missing. Panicked and frenzied, he searches the entire city of Torensten before moving onto Provo, desperate to find his friends. However, while in the middle of his hunt, he stumbles upon someone else instead -- Krile. Together they vow to find their friends no matter what it takes.
Caius Dragelion - Faris holds up a ship of smugglers only to be confronted by Caius, a mercenary who cares more for Faris' shoulder wound than fighting him. This infuriates Faris and when Caius follows him and ignores demands not to cure him, Faris attacks before fleeing and collapsing in the wilderness to heal himself.
@krile - Krile awakens from a nightmare and to premonitions of Bartz in danger. Faris and Krile set out immediately to find him, but lose the scent before they can make progress. Despairing and angry, Faris curses their friend until a tearstricken Krile reassures him. They decide from then on that they will stick together as a family and that Faris will teach her the ways of a pirate.
Caius Dragelion - Faris embarks on a mercenary mission to kill a dragon that's terrorized a local village. Much to his dismay, his partner in the mission is Caius -- the same infuriating mercenary that he'd fought before. Though Faris is tempted to strike out on his own, they bond over Caius' dragon and decide to work together peacefully.
@bartz - Desperate for money, Faris holds up a carriage on the road only to find Bartz inside. He demands that Bartz reunite with him and Krile and when he agrees to let them follow him, they take a moment to switch to their dancer classes to strengthen his skills in the crystal. In the end, Bartz offers a deal -- find Boko and he'll come with them for good. Faris accepts and they head back to meet Krile.
@bartz , @krile - Faris brings Bartz back to Krile for a not particularly comfortable reunion. They agree to help him find Boko in exchange for not running off again. The exchange is awkward.
Joanna Baltas - Faris loses his way in the Wanderwood looking for signs of Boco the chocobo. He's led the wrong way by a moogle and eventually ends up in a ditch where a white mage comes to save him.
Eillien Blaires - While lamenting his bad luck in finding Boko, he's met with an old friend who joins him in a round of drinks. Elated at finding Eillien, the two share stories until Faris' true gender is revealed, and he leaves awkwardly to go find Bartz
@rinoa - Faris heads his invitation to the masquerade at Bartz' request. Though he hates the whole event, he eventually runs into a young rebel. They hit it off quite nicely.
Yuna -- Faris is forced begrudgingly into a Valentine's Day blind dating event in Provo. While he hates the idea, he's partnered with the summoner Yuna and they bond immediately. After some time talking, Faris invites her on a boat to see the sunset.
Yuna - True to his word, Faris takes Yuna to see the sunset at sea. They sail out into the middle of the water and splash around, admiring more than the view.
Garnet Til Alexandros XVII - Faris has been asked by Yuna to give Caius a chance. He hates this with every fiber of his being and so drags his feet on the way to the Wyvern's Rest. While in the marketplace, he comes across a young queen being hassled by a weapon's merchant. They share their similar backstories and Faris helps her buy a new rod before he goes on his way.

As a "man of no consequence," Ardyn wanders from place to place, popping up as an eccentric adviser and leaving everyone behind him feeling strangely unclean. He has no plans of world domination, but would generally like humanity to suffer. Particularly Noctis.
PAWNS
Lightning Farron - An unflinching, harsh woman who can control Ifrit's blight. Despite their uncertain relationship, she has agreed to help spread his plague in Provo. Aera Minus Fleuret - The woman he once loved in his more human life. His love has long since faded, but he still holds some buried fondness for her. She is the only one he would refuse to harm. Yuna - Though they met on hostile terms after they had a fight over the Starscourge (Yuna sought to heal it while Ardyn quite murderously disagreed), they have since talked over their differences and Ardyn considers her something of a reluctant friend. And a very amusing toy.
ENEMIES
Noctis Lucis Caelum - The crown prince of Lucis and the primary target of Ardyn's vengeance. While Noctis would certainly call them enemies, Ardyn isn't so certain. After all, there is nothing more satisfying than watching Noctis suffer. Lunafreya Nox Fleuret - The Oracle and Ardyn's personal victim of murder. Her purifying light is one of Ardyn's only legitimate threats. He wishes to do away with it quickly. Somnus Lucis Caelum - Ardyn's brother and the usurper of the Lucian throne. Ardyn spends his immortal days fantasizing his suffering and seeks it out as a proxy against Noctis and all of Lucis.

Ardyn's TIMELINE
Here lies the story of Ardyn Izunia . All threads are meant to be read in chronological order. Thanks for reading!
@thatquirkycat -- Upon his death at Noctis' hand, Ardyn awakens outside of Provo. He is stumbled upon by a hapless girl who foolishly offers to help him. Ardyn leaves her confused and concerned in the forest.
Iris-- Ardyn travels to Provo to discover a young and helpless Iris attending a noodle stall. She doesn't recognize him, but faints at his approach. Under the guise of helping her, he infects her with daemonic pestilence before leaving to enjoy delicious noodles.
@rayn2 , @lala5 -- Ardyn stumbles across two of Noctis' guards while causing strife in Provo. While he doesn't wish them ill, he does taunt them for several awkward minutes, infuriating Gladiolus as he implies what he did to Iris. Then he saunters away. Like a dick.
@fishie4 -- While wandering the Provo marketplace, Ardyn has the good fortune of crossing paths with an amnesiac (and much younger than he remembers) Prompto in distress over his broken camera. Ardyn provides the money to have it fixed and then makes cryptic, gloating comments for a while. It's pretty awkward.
Terra Branford-- While bored, Ardyn chooses to follow a beautiful and innocent young woman to a bar to creep on her. While this fails to faze her, he buys her wine anyway and listens to her history. His seductions ultimately fail and she leaves the bar only to be attacked by a dragon. Ardyn is apathetic to her plight.
@light -- Ardyn idles in a bar, waiting out the flooding of Provo, when suddenly a fierce and mysterious woman kicks in the door and demands that he give her his sickness. He creeps on her uncomfortably until she reveals that she can control Ifrit's blight. This changes his mind and he offers her a deal -- spread the plague and she can harvest the energy from her victims. She agrees and their reign of terror begins.
@lumina -- With the pestilence established in Provo, Ardyn ventures towards the Metaia Temple in his quest to spread corruption across Zephon. Here, he stumbles across a mischievous girl who challenges him to a game. They get along marvelously, and Ardyn directs her towards her self-proclaimed sister -- Lightning.
@dustwa -- Bored and generally despairing, Ardyn stumbles across the catacombs beneath Metaia Temple and explores them only to encounter undead wolves. He's attacked in the darkness by Aranea who quickly realizes her mistake and flees. Ardyn stalks her only to find that she's been mortally wounded. Begrudgingly, he revives her and leaves her behind in the hopes that she will lead him to Noctis in the future.
Ace , @crowe -- As the top of the World Sight is set aglow, Ardyn heeds the call of an otherworldly being to reach its summit. He rallies a group to sneak in through the back in search of discovering some divine meaning to his existence.
Ace , @fishie , @dustwa -- At the top of the tower, Ardyn and Ace meet two others who reached the crystal ahead of them. After a brief confrontation, Ardyn, Mateus, and Yeul all touch the crystal at once. This summons two warring gods which shatter the crystal, leaving both Ardyn and Mateus with a small piece of divine power.
@dustwa -- Ardyn and Aranea run into each other at a high-class charity ball in Sonora. Bound by social convention, they're forced to spar with words rather than blades as Ardyn holds the entire party as hostages in order to toy with her. She insults him, and he spreads his corruption as a result.
Caius Dragelion -- Ardyn is approached by Caius, a former member of the Kingsguard, and offered noodles in exchange for a conversation. Ardyn obliges out of boredom though he offers nothing of particular interest when asked of his motives or origins. Caius, being from another timeline, tells of how Noctis survived his encounter with Ardyn which peeks Ardyn's interest immensely. He leaves Caius with a new goal -- find Noctis and kill him as many times as needed before the Astrals allow them both to die.
@ultimecia -- Ardyn journeys to the ruins of Metaia on curiosity after hearing his summons from Chaos. Once there, he spends his time transforming zombies and survivors into daemons. As he idly admires his work, he is approached by a mysterious, immortal woman that inquires as to his intentions. She seems perplexed by his lack of direction and he pities her hyper focus. She leaves in disgust.
@asael -- Upon turning much of the undead in Metaia to daemons, Ardyn lounges about the ruins longing for entertainment. He comes across a cold swordsman who he toys with for a time before pointing him in the direction of his target and letting him go in the hopes he will be more interesting in the future.
Yuna -- Ardyn travels back to Provo to see the progression of the Scourge. He meets a white mage working in a field hospital and toys with her until she reveals an aptitude for healing the scourge. Thinking her an Oracle, he attacks and relishes in her fear. Out of desperation, she summons Shiva and Ardyn, thinking her an astral, destroys the hospital and half the street in their battle. Yuna escapes and Shiva disappears before he can daemonify her. Ardyn vows to hunt Yuna and force her to summon Shiva again.
@ephemera -- Ardyn runs into a far-too-helpful summoner while hunting for Yuna. He leads the summoner to believe Yuna to be dangerous in a spiteful bid against her. When Kana reaches the hospital to search for her, Ardyn bows out, daemonifying several patients before leaving altogether.
@aera -- Ardyn sees the image of Aera upon daemonifying a man near the Crystalus Divider. He discovers her in Provo and attacks, initially believing her to be nothing but a trick of the gods. Upon realizing her true form, he stays his hand and she offers to join him on his path to darkness. He refuses to harm her and leaves before they can be accosted by the city's guards.
Yuna -- After leaving Aera, Ardyn finds himself brooding and rather depressed. He takes refuge in a bar to drink away his sorrows only to be confronted by Yuna. He is in no mood to fight and so offers her a drink instead. The drunken summoner amuses him so much that he declares them friends, escorts her back to her room, and takes on a new resolve to follow Aera.
@aera -- Upon coming to terms with her resurrection, Ardyn vows to find Aera again and watch her from afar. Torensten's masquerade proves the perfect grounds to do so, and he dons the look of one of the guests to speak with her behind a mask of his own.

He saves them by revealing his wing and flying, much to his own confusion and horror.

The knight causes a building to collapse killing the family inside. Sephiroth chastises him before leaving with his disdain.
Genesis -- Sephiroth feels inexplicably called to the Metaia Temple. He finds ruins when he arrives and takes the opportunity to search the ancient archives for leads on their situation. The Turks provided back-up on Sephiroth's side, and Asael is driven to retreat.
@blacksuit -- After the battle with Asael, Cissnei leads Sephiroth to the back room of a bar to give him information on on his past. Instead, she lets slip that Angeal is alive and was last seen in Provo. Sephiroth leaves, determined to find him.

Caius Dragelion - On his search for Angeal, Sephiroth visits Provo's local zoo. His menacing appearance draws attention which is thankfully defused by the appearance of a weapon's enthusiast who claims to have met Angeal.
Cloud Strife , Angeal Hewley -- As Sephiroth is searching Provo for signs of Angeal, he's instead confronted with something far more deadly. An enraged ex-SOLDIER who looks disturbingly familiar attacks, and Sephiroth is taken off guard by flashes of scenes half remembered. Angeal comes to his aid, defending him until the ex-SOLDIER uses a suicidal Ultima spell which incapacitates everyone involved.

While not entirely believing her, Sephiroth thanks her regardless and they part ways.

Here lies the story of Prompto Argentum . All threads are meant to be read in chronological order. Thanks for reading!
@reno -- Prompto woke up in the wilderness and started a long, confused walk down an empty road. Only once he'd given up all hope did his savior arrive in a sweet convertible. The stranger gave him a ride to the city and told him all kinds of weird things about worlds or whatever.
@seymourguado -- After a long drive and a longer walk, Prompto ends up at the Meltwater Inn. He goes to check out the hot springs but finds a strange man already there. It's awkward. Like so painfully awkward.
@yunalesca -- While wandering through the heart of Sonora, Prompto comes across a woman being mugged in an alley. He throws himself into danger to save her, but quickly finds that she's an ambiguously human sorceress of unknown dark powers. Prompto is made incredibly uncomfortable and helps her find some clothes.
Alexander Sorel -- For no reason that he can see, Prompto is attacked by Sonoran police forces which call him a terrorist. He tries to hide in a high school graduation where he's quickly surrounded. He escapes with the help of a self-proclaimed adventurer who offers him a place to stay at his guild in Provo.
Alexander Sorel -- After saving Prompto from Sonora, he invites him to live at his mercenary guild, the Rising Stones. The place is a wreck, but Prompto becomes determined to clean it up in thanks to his new friend. His new, awkward friend. Who doesn't think Prompto's trauma is a big deal. It was a bit of a tense conversation.
Yuna -- While in Torensten, Prompto signs up for a blind dating event and gets paired at a nighttime carnival with a cute girl named Yuna. She seems to like his sense of humor and they get along well until talk turns to Ardyn. They share their traumatic experiences on a ferris wheel and end the night with a kiss, promising to see each other again.
Alexander Sorel , @blacksuit5 -- To help Prompto find his friends, Alex returns with the witch Matoya and offers the use of her crystal eye. Though initially doubtful of his resolve, Matoya guides Prompto on a spirit quest that gives him a vision of Ignis and Gladolus suffering in a Sonoran prison. He vows to do whatever it takes to free them, and leaves Alex's company on on his quest.
Caius Dragelion -- Desperate for help in saving his friends, Prompto journeys to Torensten on Yuna's lead to talk to the leader of the Dragonblades, an ex-Kingsglaive from the world of Eos. Caius promises to help him, but says that they'll need help. He sends Prompto to Sonora to meet with Cissnei, an informant who he cautions is a dangerous free agent.
