TEACH THEM BOYS A LESSON
Cindy watched as Caius shot straight up when she spoke. When he snapped to look at her, she put her hands up. "Woah there, didn't mean to scare ya! Though I should've known better, what with your history and all that." She didn't know EVERYTHING he had done, but he knew that he was a fighter. In her defense, she hadn't been around a lot of people in her life. It did make sense for someone with his past would be on alert at all times.
The next thing that came out of her mouth make her tilt her head to the side. "Lumey? She?" A small grin formed on Cindy's face at the mention of a girl from Caius. She hadn't known the man for too long, but they had gotten along instantly and she was glad to have him as a friend, especially since she didn't know many people here in Zephon. Maybe she should go out and socialize more instead of working on cars all the time.
"I was handed an invitation and there was no way I was turnin' this down! I've never been on a cruise before." To be fair, Cindy hadn't been many places before. She envied the boys for the fact that they got to travel all over the place. That was definitely the only thing she was envious of them for. She would never want to do the things they had to do, but she appreciated them that much more for it.
Taking a drink, she looked over at everything. People were smiling and having fun. This wasn't something she was used to, but it was something she could get used to. There was nothing to be afraid of here, at least as far as she knew. Until that something came around, she was going to enjoy her time here. "Have you had fun so far?" She had no idea how long he had been here, but it seemed long enough to be tired.

TEACH THEM BOYS A LESSON
Wiping her forehead, Cindy stood up straight out of the car she had currently been working on. It was almost ready, she just needed to connected one last thing. Jumping in behind the wheel, she turned the key and listened to it crank over. "Now that's what I like to hear." Dropping the hood back down she turned to head back inside when she noticed that there was an interesting person, who handed her an envelope and walked away. Confused, Cindy opened it to reveal an invitation to a cruise.
Growing up, Cindy didn't really get a chance to go anywhere. Inside she was as excited as a kid in a candy shop. On the outside, she ran inside to get packed and ready to go. Did she even have a swimsuit? Oh, there it was. She really hoped it still fit, since she had gotten it a bit ago in hopes she would be given the chance to wear it here in Zephon. That time seemed to be presenting itself now, and she was happy for a chance to just relax.
The activites seemed endless here, and she hadn't stopped going since she had arrived. Parasailing had been a blast and Cindy knew she would have to do it again in the near future. She hadn't been very good at the scavenger hunt, but she fun while doing it, and that's all that mattered for her. The music was okay, not really her style, but it was good to dance to and it went with the theme. After she had her fill of food, she made her way over to the man with drinks.
After she grabbed her drink, she went to go find somewhere to sit. As she looked over, she spotted a familiar face. Making her way to Caius, she took a seat next to him. "Well call me a rats uncle, fancy seein' you here. Didn't really peg this your kind of scene." He was definitely not someone she had expected to see here, but she definitely wasn't going to complain. The last time she had seen him. Well, let's just say that van had seen better days...

TEACH THEM BOYS A LESSON
Cindy shook her head and gave Noctis a smile. "Well, you are a Prince after all, so that is a good sign. But that don't mean you have to take on every little thing they throw at'cha. You're still human after all." When she had met him, she had been a little excited to meet the Prince. After meeting him and his friends, she had almost forgotten that's what he was. He was so relaxed and kind, like she was just meeting a regular person. He was still that though, he was still a person.
Watching Noctis light up at the sound of the game they used to play warmed her heart. The man had been through hell and back, she was glad to see the smile. "Yeah, that's it! I'd watch y'all and it looks like it was a lot of fun." She also liked to see that they were never really competitve with it either. There was "trash talk" between them all, but that was normal when you played games with others. "I really hope that you can get that phone workin'."
Cindy listened as he explained that Ignis was still trying to fight and do everything he did before, and she gave a tiny smile. "That sounds like Ignis alright.." All of the boys were determined souls that didn't let a lot stop them from what they were trying to do. "Oh Noctis.." Cindy didn't know what to say. Noctis was already feeling guilty with everything that had gone on before that, she really hoped he didn't beat himself up more for that. "Ignis knew the risk, and y'all did what you had to. It was all screwed up in the first place. If you see him before I do, tell him I'm sorry."
The Prince turned the subject around and brought up Cid. "For this worlds' sanity, it better hope he doesn't." She gave a smile at her own humor. "I'm kiddin', but I both hope he does and doesn't. I would love to have him around, but I wouldn't like how he had to get here. He's stubborn, he'll be fine no matter where he is." She was going to take this time to figure out what she wanted to do. Of course she would stay in mechanics, but now she didn't have to put her life into it.
There was one thing Cindy would never do, and that was judge them on something they were passionate about. Growing up, she got enough of that and would never wish it on anybody. The fact that she could fix cars better than half the boys she knew wasn't her fault, it was how she was raised. Maybe they should have learned a little more about what they were doing before trying to fix something. Then maybe she wouldn't have to show them up and fix it for them.
When Noctis looked away from her, she knew that he was putting himself on a guilt trip. To be fair, she didn't really blame him for that, but she also didn't blame him for anything that had happened. "Don't you dare give me that Noctis. Those things happened, and you did everything you could. No one can fix everything." Cindy wasn't great at pep talks, but she'd be damned if she let Noctis take all the blame. Everything around them had gone to hell and back, and he was not to blame for it all.
When he mentioned just hanging out, her face lit up. "Dang, now that I think about it, you're right. I can't cook, but we can all have a dinner, y'all can teach me that weird game you played." She had watched them a bit when they stayed in Hammerhead, and she had always wanted to join in, but didn't want to intrude. She didn't have many actual friends, with how much work she had to do. It would be nice to just sit around and not have to care about really anything for once.
The next thing she heard stopped her breathing for a moment. "No. You're kiddin'. Poor Ignis..." She couldn't believe it. Ignis loved to cook, and that wasn't really something you could do when you couldn't see. Part of her hoped that maybe in this new world, that there could be something that could be done. It was just a world though, and she knew it was just a hope. "How is he? Well, how was he when it happened? Were you there?" She hoped that someone was there with him, and that he hadn't lost himself with it.
So much had gone on in their home world, some of it she had missed. Though she thought of herself as lucky for that, she felt terrible for those that had gone through it. She thought of Pawpaw, and constantly worried about how he was doing. He was stubborn though, she knew that he would be fine if he had to be. She just felt terrible that he had to do it alone at all...

WOULD YOU SAY I BECAME A HERO?
To be quite fair, Cindy was sure she could watch Prompto take pictures for hours. In a totally not weird way though. When he took pictures, it reminded her of herself when she was working on her car. Making sure every detail is perfect, putting absolute focus into the work. Though working on cars and photography were two seperate things, the concentration to the work was the same.
As soon as she greeted him though, she instantly felt so bad. "Oh man Prompto, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you like that." She should have known better. Never interrupt someone who is concentrating on something that hard. She watched as he retreived the camera, begging for it to work. Cindy hadn't realized she was holding her breath until he said it was still good and she let it all out. "I'm glad to hear that. Once again, I apologize Prompto."
The next second was like whiplash. All of a sudden he was back to his normal self. Well, normal for Prompto anyways. He was saying hi to her like he had taken the last slice of pizza and had been caught. To her, she thought he was just trying to get his thoughts together after dropping his camera. She didn't have a clue it was her making him act this way, so she just gave him a smile. Which probably wasn't the best thing to do, but she didn't have experience with boys. Not like this anyways. Normally they just eyeballed her while she was working and then left when she was done.
Though, it was starting to come together when he started to ramble. Honestly, she thought it was kind of cute and giggled. It didn't really come as a surprise though. When the boys had come by, it was mostly the other three that really did the talking. Well, to her at least. She had figured it was because she was a girl, but the full extent of all of it was lost to her. She had no idea the effect she had on this poor man.
"You're just fine Prompto, and thank you for the compliment." Honestly, she wasn't sure what the plan was from here. "Of course, we can start over if you would like. You could show me around? See if we can find ourselves a good spot to eat." To be quite fair, she didn't really know how to talk to boys in that sense, so it was probably a good thing she knew Prompto already, and this tooootally wasn't a date.

TEACH THEM BOYS A LESSON
Noctis mentioned that Prompto could get carried away with his photos and she had to chuckle. "He takes pride in his work, I get that. But yeah, I'll definitely keep that in mind." She had heard Prompto ramble before, though it wasn't in a conversation with her. She also had to remember Prompto could be pretty sensitive, so she would make sure to let him know in a good way, so he didn't feel like he was being annoying or over the top.
It was a small compliment, but Cindy gave him a smile. She hadn't seen the boys too often back in their world, but they were enough to know that the boys were good people. They were humorous, and could kick just about anyone's ass. The day she had met them was one of the best ones she ever had, and she would always be glad she met them. Not to mention, if she was ever in a bind, she definitely knew she could count on them.
"I mean, I can't say I'm exactly thrilled about it all, but I can't punish you guys for somethin' that wasn't your fault." What did she want them to do, pause everything that was happening so they could get the car to safety and go back? Things happened, she knew that. "The last thing you deserve is being yelled at. You boys did so much for everyone." Well, there were probably things that they did that would deserve a good yelling, but the good outweighed the bad by a lot.
There were times where Cindy knew what to say, she wasn't just a blonde grease monkey. "Of course. You guys did some crazy things, and you did great." She stopped there because she didn't want to get herself worked up as well. Though she hadn't been there for it all, she knew most of what happened from word of mouth or the news. She always had the radio on in the shop, just in case.
"You damn well better bring those boys here. Vehicle or not, I'm always happy to see you guys. I don't think we all ever just sat around and talked, it was always while I was working or just small conversations here and there before y'all headed off again." Even if their meetings had been short, the boys quickly grew on her and she would do anything for them.

WOULD YOU SAY I BECAME A HERO?
Stepping out of the shower, Cindy wrapped the towel around herself as she looked around for her winter coat. She had set it somewhere in this room she was staying in, she just wasn't sure where. Mentall kicking herself for not finding it the night before, she headed into the bathroom to blow dry her hair. She wasn't going to do anything special with it, she just didn't want it to be wet when she went outside into the cold.
Finally finding her yellow coat that basically matched her normal jacket, she slid it on over a red v-neck shirt. Of course it had the Hammerhead logo on it, not that anyone besides the boys would really recognize it anyways. She had her normal white boots on, but had regular jeans on instead of short shorts. She put on a red beanie instead of her hat and she was ready to go! Basically, she looked the same as normal just with more clothes, warmer ones.
Making her way to where she said she'd meet Prompto, she was getting more excited. She liked hanging out with the boys, and she was looking forward to getting to know Prompto a little better. She had always seen the boys together, and she had gotten a chance to talk to just Noctis, so now it was Prompto's turn. She wasn't sure how long it would be before seeing Gladio and Ignis, but she planned on hanging out with them as well.
It didn't take her long to spot Prompto, as she had arrived just as he was taking a picture. That definitely gave him away. Smiling, she made her way over. She almost jumped onto his back, but since he had spent a lot of his time battling, she figured that might not be the best idea. "Well hey there handsome." Also not the best way to great the VERY nervous Prompto, but Cindy wasn't aware of all of his feelings towards her, so she didn't even think anything of it.

TEACH THEM BOYS A LESSON/font]
"Aw man, now that's something I gotta see." Cindy had to give a chuckle at his statement. "He takes pictures while fighting? That's either impressive and crazy all at the same time." Given that Prompto used a gun meant he was long distance anyways, so that probably made it a little easier to whip out a camera and snap a picture before grabbing his gun and getting back to it. He was one to make sure he captured the best moments, so she would definitely have to ask to see some the next time she saw him.
Cindy gave a smile. She was aware of how Prompto felt about her, but maybe not to the extent it was. "Of course he would, it is me we're talking about here!" Giving a playful wink, she let him know she wasn't completely full of herself, she just believed she was a good person and that people enjoyed being around her.
"You'll definitely have to bring whatever you find over here, I'll make sure it's in top shape and lookin' sharp." The boys did a lot to help others and make sure things were safe, it was the least she could do. His next statement made her eyes widen for just a moment. "I hate hearin' that, but it doesn't surprise me. Things weren't lookin' good out there, so I guess I can't be mad at you boys." To be fair, none of what happened to the Regalia had straight out been their fault, but it still sucked to see her work be destroyed like that.
"Well at least we don't have to stand here and let each other know what happened after they left." It was nice to know they remembered the same things, and could relate to each other as well. Mostly she was glad she didn't have to hear about what happened after. At least, not yet. A part of her wanted to know what happened to everyone, and a part of her didn't, though she knew she should hear it someday.
Cindy gave Noctis a small smile as he said he was glad she was safe. "You too, as well as the other boys, even if you all aren't together at the moment." She saw his demeanor change, and she looked at the ground for a moment. What he said made her look back at him. She put a hand on his shoulder. "If anyone can do it, it's you and your stubborn friends." She gave him a smile as she tried to lighten the mood with the truth.

TEACH THEM BOYS A LESSON
Cindy wasn't too keen on getting into anyones business. Honestly, she had just enough on her plate to keep her sane and busy, she wasn't looking to add anything more to it. If it didn't involve her, or she couldn't help in any way, she didn't need to know. At the mention of Prompto, Cindy gave a smile. "Of course I know, but he does take damn good pictures. I'll definitely track him down whenever I'm there next if I have time. I mostly go there for parts or other stuff, so I'm there and gone pretty quick." It would be nice to catch up with the other boys.
Truth be told, Cindy hadn't know that many people in their home world. Sure she met a lot of people through the business, but they were all pretty much come and go. Most of them were just people passing through and needed work done, so a lot of people she never saw more than once or twice. They only reason she knew the boys well was because they stopped by a bit more than others, and they actually had conversations with her instead of just dropping the vehicle off and leaving until it was done.
"Yes you were, and that was just fine by me." Cindy obviously loved working on cars, but she liked it even better when she wasn't fixing them, but improving them. "And you guys a damn good at them too. You'll have the money in no time." Thought she wasn't sure he'd have Ignis and Gladio back as soon, but she was hopeful for that as well. They just weren't the same without all of them together.
Noctis was then asking her what she last remembered, and she had to think for a moment. "Oh man, I think it was right before the Starscourge hit. I had just fled from Hammerhead and went to sleep one night and woke up here. From what was happening there at that moment and what was coming, a part of me is glad I was brought here." Though the rest of her world had to go through all of that, and for that, she wasn't glad.

TEACH THEM BOYS A LESSON
There had been times throughout the day that Cindy had wanted to ask Caius about how life on their home world had turned out. Noctis had been king, but she knew that was coming. That's what happened when you were a prince and the king was no longer able to rule. She had decided against asking though. They weren't a part of that world anymore, and she wasn't sure if they would ever be again. There was no need to focus on what could have been. She needed to focus on the now.
Cindy chuckled. "Yeah, sometimes it can get pretty exhausting. When I get too tired, I'm the type to stop and try again the next day. No use in doin' a half-assed job when someone is paying you to fix somethin'." There had been a couple of times were she had to fix something someone else messed up because they hurried through it and weren't focused at the end of it. It wasn't fun.
"He needs somethin' to do, and scarin' a loser like this guy seems like just the thing to entertain him." Cindy was sure Vordun got his fair share of adventures, but he deserved some fun after helping her earlier. Giving a nod, she finished her food before flagging the waiter down. "I can't wait to see the look on his face." She was tempted to let Vordun "play" with the car before handing it over as well, but that would take up more time. She wanted to get this over with.
