PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
Tifa watched and listened Alex's frustrated response. "You'd think so, but people are complicated. It's what makes us unique I suppose." No two people were alike, and you had no way of knowing what you were getting yourself into, even when you just wanted to have a chat with someone. Human life was a mess, and people being brought to this world just made it messier.
Alex was then talking about her and she gave a nod. "That's right, and they did get violent. Took out almost an entire sector just to take out the machines sucking out the energy. The amount of lives lost at what we did..." That memory still haunted her to this day, especially since the whole thing really didn't change much. To be fair, she felt as though it had made things worse.
"The Cool Kids Table? I guess that's one way to describe them." Tifa gave a shrug and wrapped her coat around herself a little tighter. "I figured I'd be a good host and check on you since everyone else stayed and could help each other out." She had always had motherly instincts, and maybe that came from being raised mostly by her father. She had to take on that feminine role.
The next thing he said made her eyes go wide. No. No way. This couldn't be the guy. There was no way the owner of the building Cloud and Sephiroth smashed to pieces just happened to come into the bar. With Cloud upstairs sleeping in the spare bedroom. Regaining her composure, she gave a small smile. "Oh man, that's terrible." That was all she could muster. He would know she knew something, she was terrible at hiding her emotions. This wasn't the time or the place to discuss that though.

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
When Alex stated he was the odd one out and how he knew Noctis, she had to giggle a little bit. "Seems like he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Helping people is the right thing to do." It's what she did, and all her friends did. That's what Avalanche was for, to help the people of Midgar. The way they went about it all though, that was a different story...
As he explained himself, Tifa leaned against a post next to the stairs leading to the bar. So he was a Warrior of Light, huh. She wasn't sure exactly what that meant, but it seemed like he did a lot, but no one ever knew. She wasn't sure if that was something she could ever do, that was for sure. The things people did didn't make her like them more or less, but how they treated others. You could be the hero of the world, but she would still hate you if you were crappy to other people.
Once he finished, she gave a smile. "When you were saving worlds, you knew what you had to do. You had a goal, and you did everything you needed to in order to achieve it. People are complicated. You don't know what they're going through when you encounter them. You don't know that just the littlest thing could set them off." At this point her arms had crossed, but that was mostly because she didn't know what to do with them.
When he turned the conversation on her, she gave a shrug as she looked to the floor. "Here on Zephon I just work and "go with the flow" as they say. Back on my world though, I was usually the one with a different opinion. The group I was with wanted to save the planet from having its energy drained. Sounds great in writing, but the way they went about it was wrong in my eyes. So, I was the odd one out there." It was kind of nice to be able to talk about Avalanche, since there was no Shinra here.

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
Cloud reacted just as she expected. Of course he would be worried when she said that. Standing up, she did a circle. "I'm fine, it's okay." She just wanted to make sure he knew that she hadn't been hurt in any way. Obviously since she had walked up to him and sat next to him, that was obvious. Just for reassurance, she wanted to actually tell him she was okay.
When he stated it didn't make a difference, she also stared ahead. "Not to us, but to him it does." Just like Noctis had said, it wasn't fair, but it was reality. "He still is the same person, yes, but he is now a person who hasn't done all of those things." She sounded crazy. Defending a man who burned down her town, left her for dead, killed her friend, and tried to destroy the planet?
No part of her blamed Cloud for standing his ground on the matter. He went through so much worse because of Sephiroth. Cloud spoke again, and she put her hand on his arm. "We did, and we're still here. We stopped the Sephiroth that was destroying everything." But he was here. It might be younger Sephiroth, who hadn't discovered his origin yet, but he was still here.
There was still a chance he could repeat the same actions as before, but there also was a chance that he couldn't. Meeting Clouds gaze, she gave a nod. "I know you won't, but you can't attack him and destroy things just because you see him. We're not on Gaia anymore, you could get into a lot of trouble. Plus, you said he had someone help him. Who knows, maybe that person could help him do better this time."

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
When Noctis stated it wasn't fair that they remembered and Sephiroth didn't, Tifa gave a nod and looked back at the ground. "It really isn't." That was how it was here though, people were pulled from different times. It was just strange to her that the original still seemed to live on in their own world, and here on Zephon. Talk about being in two places at once...
Noctis spoke again and her attention when back on him. "I don't think it will be a problem, given that neither of them know what the other looks like." He stated that he hoped that Sephiroth didn't get his memories back and she gave a small scoff. "Yeah, I'm not sure I could fight him again honestly. It took a lot out of all of us." She was strong, but that had been intense.
Watching as he cast his line as well, she gave him a smirk. When he thanked her for being there, her smirk became a smile. "Thank you as well, for listening. And for showing me a new hobby." She watched as he clicked on the flashlight and then looked over the water. They could stand there all night not saying a word, and she would still be happy just being with someone. She'd been alone for most of the time in Zephon, it was nice to have someone there.

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
There was no reason for Tifa to go outside to comfort a man she didn't even know, except maybe that she didn't need to be in there for whatever meeting they were all supposed to be having. It was mostly her caring nature that brought her out here. She knew what being overwhelmed and at a breaking point felt like. Company had helped her when she was at that point, maybe it would help him too.
Alex stated he was not okay, and she looked up at him. To her, he was just a normal guy. Of course, she hadn't known him long enough to get any other opinions of him. Even his outburst before wouldn't be cause for her to understand him, everyone had their moments. He then stated that the field around him was heated, and she stepped into, instantly feeling much warmer. "Thanks." He did have some manners, even if he did just try to put the other girl to sleep.
Tifa wasn't even mad about that anymore, given it wasn't a harmful spell. Still, there were better options than spelling someone. He asked why she was out there, and before she could answer, he started figuring out payment. Waving her hands in front of her, she shook her head. "That's not why I'm out here. I'm just checking to make sure you'll be okay." To some, she was probably being stupid. She didn't know Alex, she didn't know what he was capable of.
He was friends with Noctis though. Even though she had only just met the future king, she trusted his judgment. Therefore, she didn't think Alex would be a threat to her. Besides, she could protect herself. "Kind of seems like you're the odd one out in there, and I kind of know how that feels." When Avalanche was a thing, she was always the one opposed to the things they did. Barrett was pretty over the top in her opinion, so she stayed out of most of the missions.

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
Working in this industry, Tifa was usually prepared for whatever could happen. Though everything that just unfolded on the other side of her bar? Yeah, she did not see any of that coming. Aside from Alex trying to use a spell and Cindy slapping him for it, it didn't seem like there was going to be any more physical damage. Emotional damage and fighting however, that was a whole disaster coming. Whatever happened in the past seemed to involve a lot of bottling up, and the explosion from it all was happening in her bar.
Grabbing Noctis a bottle of the cooler, she opened it and set it in front of him with a small smile. It seemed that he was starting to regret his decision on inviting everyone here, and she didn't blame him. Though there was no way he knew what could happen, especially in a public place. Honestly all Tifa could do at the moment was watch it all unwind in front of her. If there had been anyone else in the bar, she would have told them to take it somewhere else. The place was empty, and didn't allow magic, so she decided it would be a good spot for them to let it all out.
Though, she wouldn't be able to stop them from physically fighting, but it didn't seem like that was going to happen. There was a lot of yelling, she was complimented in all the chaos, and it seemed like the whole get together was about finding two other guys that were in some sort of trouble. Cindy was fine, but pissed, which Tifa didn't blame her for. After the second blonde yelled back at the first, he stormed outside with his drink, which was complimented as well.
While everything had been happening, she had gotten Caius' rum martinez made and grabbed Prompto a glass of water just in case. Everyone had their drinks, and it looked like they might need some space. Turning to Noctis, she gave him a reassuring smile. "You've got your hands full in here, I'll try to calm him down outside."
The idea could be a terrible one, but Tifa was a calm person so she was usually pretty good at calming others down. Besides, Alex didn't have any problems with her at all, so she was probably a good choice for him talk to. Grabbing her coat from behind the bar, she made her way outside. "That was quite a speech, are you all right?"
**Will be continued in a seperate thread until someone comes to get them.**

WOULD YOU SAY I BECAME A HERO?
Nodding, Tifa got to work on the drink. She began by rinsing a decanter with rum while she looked for her teapot and the wood chips. After finding them both and putting the wood chips in the teapot, she toasted them until a small flame appeared. While the chips were still smoking, she poured the run from the decanter into the teapot and let it sit while she addressed the other man. "Well we have this drink, the Rum Martinez. A Hot Toddy Rum is always a crowd pleaser, and of course the popular hot chocolate and mint liquor, or spiced apple cider."
Using the same wood chips and smoke, she filled the decanter with smoke. In a seperate glass with ice, she added the vermouth, maraschino and bitters and stirred them together, then strained them into the decanter. Adding the rum, she capped the decanter and gently swirled them all together. Grabbing a low cocktail glass, she poured the drink. Taking an orange peel, she rimmed the glass with it before dropping it into the drink and sliding it to the man. "Here you are."
Before she could say much else, it seemed the atmosphere changed a bit when two of the men noticed the other was there. One pointed out that she wasn't blonde, and she figured the tension had to be over a girl, so she decided to just stay out of if it. She gave a small smile as someone addressed Noctis as 'Your Highness', but still stayed quiet until she was addressed by the man now known as Caius. "Good to meet you too."
It seemed that everyone was a little worried for Prompto, and at first she wasn't sure why. She had been busy making drinks and making sure everyone was taken care that she hadn't really noticed how he was acting. Though it seemed that some of them knew the blonde that had walked in. Honestly, Tifa was a little confused to what was happening and why this certain group was together when it seemed like they all didn't even know each other. Or not well at least.
When Prompto jumped at Caius' touch and blushed, Tifa realized what was happening and almost blushed herself. One would think she was used to this as a bartender, but she wasn't. Tifa was always a little shy, so emotions weren't her strong point. "We have some water if you'd like?" He looked like he needed that more than alcohol to be quite fair. Especially his reaction to Cindy showing up.
Tifa was starting to feel sorry for the guy, and it only got worse with what happened next. The man whose name she didn't know approached Cindy. The story he told seemed like he was just boasting about Prompto to Cindy, and Tifa stood there and listened. Though she wasn't dumb, not with what she had gone through. His arms behind his back as he talked was a little suspicious. Either he was raised properly, or he was up to something.
As he brough his arm to his chest, Tifa watched with her arms crossed. The man was then blowing something at Cindy and Tifa shook her head. "I guess I should have told you that no magic of any sort works in here." Honestly, she didn't think she had to do that. It was a security measure, no one wanted a bunch of drunks using magic. "I'll kindly ask you not to try that again, or I will be forced to kick your ass out." Tifa didn't get angry often, and she still wasn't, but she knew to get her point across when it came to the establishment.

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
Cloud stated he was all right and she gave a nod. "You look a lot better, I'm glad to see you're healing well." Though she wasn't really surprised at that fact. She had heard that people who were infused with mako healed faster, so maybe that had something to do with it. His injuries had been pretty bad, so she wasn't sure if the mako would even help that at all.
The two had been through a lot together. From Nibelheim to Midgar and everything in between. They had seen each other go through a lot, and still remained close. He was her best friend, and she wouldn't change that for the world. She was glad to have him here on Zephon, though she did wish that Barrett and the rest of them were here as well. But no, they got Sephiorth instead.
Looking over at his arm, she noticed the new scar that had formed. It looked deep and she was glad he hadn't lost his arm. She wasn't sure if he'd be able to mentally recover if he had. "Well if anyone can do that, you can." She had seen him fight through a lot, and she knew he would come back from this as well.
When he asked her if everything was all right, she looked at the group. "I'm okay. I, uh, ran into Sephiroth..." There was no need to beat around the bush. He could read her like a book and she couldn't hide anything from him. "I'm not sure you know this, but people here can be taken from any point in their previous world. From what he told me, he was taken before the Nibelheim fire. I'm not sure exactly when, but he doesn't remember us at all."

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
When Noctis stated he had never taught anyone to fish before, she gave a small shrug. "It's easy to teach someone to do something you enjoy doing." Sometimes it wasn't even teaching, but more telling them what your favorite techniques are and the way you do things. She trained one or two people at her job, and that's what she did. The only thing with her training people is that she could pour drinks without thinking about measurements, so she had to think back on those facts.
"Yeah, I just confronted Sephiroth about it all, and he had no idea who we were. I'm still debating on if he was telling the truth or not, but I think he was. He has no reason to lie, and probably would have attacked me if he was who we last saw." The Sephiroth she knew wouldn't of cared about a town full of people, and probably would have done a lot worse when fighting Cloud as well. This time, he had just been defending himself.
Noctis said he understood, but she still felt really bad for what had happened. "I'm going to talk to him soon and explain what Sephiroth told me. I'm hoping he'll think straight and accept my explanation. I'll make sure he comes and apologizes and offers to help fix it." Cloud was a good person, so she was really hoping that he believed her and set everything behind him and just enjoy not being hunted or do any hunting for once.
Shaking her head, she gave Noctis a small smile. "I won't. That's for Cloud to deal with, not me." She had been considered the mother figure of their group, but that didn't mean she didn't make them take responsibilty for their actions. Cloud acted irrationally, though she understood why he did.
Noctis laughed and Tifa couldn't help but smile. It was her favorite sound in the world, people laughing. It sometimes made her forget the cruel things that had happened to her. Giving him a smirk, she cast her line back into the water. "You might just have to." Tifa didn't think she could beat him in fishing, but she was always game for some friendly competition.

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
With the kind of weather happening outside, Tifa wasn't sure what to expect. Sometimes it kept people away, sometimes it brought people in. All the knew was that she kept the wet floor sign and mop handy just in case. Before she knew it, a blonde walked in. He was dressed in black and was carrying a suitcase. To some, that may seem a little odd. Tifa had seen quite a bit in her life, so she didn't think twice about it. It was probably for business, and she left it at that.
Once he reached the bar, he spoke. Giving him a smile, she shrugged. "It hasn't been too bad, the regulars really help keep business going." Tifa was better at conversation when she was at work because the customers initially had to speak to her first, so she had something to go off of. His drink order though, now that was impressive. "I do, but we don't have the Zapaca rum. I could make it with a different one if you'd like." Downfall of being a small time bar, not much for liquor choices.
Just as she finished her sentence, another man in black and blue walked in. He was pretty tall, and looked like he could break her in half. He took a seat next to the other man and asked their main drinks. "Our Manhattan and Old Fashioned are pretty popular. Our house beer is Wild Herd, but our Street Fight is pretty popular as well." Tifa was honestly surprised she remembered that, most people that came in were regulars and got the same thing every time.
The door opened once more, but she knew one of the faces this time. It was a bit of a surprise to see Noctis again, but it was a pleasant one. He was with yet another blonde, who seemed rather shy. He approached the men, and it appeared he knew them. She waited for him to turn to her before giving him a smile. "Good to see you too. It's not a problem at all, I appreciate the business." Sometimes it could get pretty boring near the end of the shift, so she was glad for the company.
His friend, now she knew was Prompto, seemed distracted by something. Of course, Tifa didn't realize she was the distraction. "Hello. Yes I'm Tifa, it's good to meet you. Would you two like something to drink?" She had no idea if they were all just here to chat or something else, but she wasn't going to pry into their business.
As the door opened, Tifa was a little relieved to see another female walk in. The new girl seemed as confused as Tifa was when she saw everyone there, but she seemed to know all but one of them. The girl ordered a house beer. "Coming right up." Grabbing a chilled glass out of the cooler, Tifa poured the Wild Herd and handed it over to the girl with a smile.
