Renitra’s breath took on a ragged tone as she tried desperately to recover from being stuck in the wall by the battle crazed bloodlust fueled Resonant. Her Astrometer spun around feebly as she willed it to cast Benefic, a healing spell to keep her going… however she was losing her focus out of fear and panic. Deep down she had already lost… AGAIN. This was the fourth time they tangled. Rhalgr’ Reach, Yanxia, Ala Mhigo, and now Zephon they had clashed, and each time she came out the loser.
A soft choked out sob came out of her mouth as she pushed herself off the wall one last time. She fell forward, landing on her face, causing her spear and Astrometer to clatter to the ground beside her as dust kicked up from her impact. “Why…” she said softly. “Why can’t I beat him…” she was inwardly frustrated and feeling helpless as she felt Zenos yae Galvus’ shadow loom over her. She looked up and whimpered softly. “Everyone… Raubahn… Lyse… Krile… I’m sorry… I failed…” she said softly. “I’m so sorry…” she then slowly rolled over so she would be face up. If Zenos was to kill her, he’d have to look her in the eye when he did it. She braced herself, however…nothing. “What are you…?” She began to question why he wasn’t killing her when she heard what he had said. Her eyes widened as her mind flashed back to their battle in Yanxia.
Despite doing relatively better than their fight in Rhalgr’s Reach, she was still beaten and was on the ground on one knee trying to catch her breath. That fight he had also told her to grow stronger for a rematch, naming her someone that had potential. She felt sick to her stomach that day. And now that the haunted memory returned she felt sick once again. She wanted to vomit but instead a small whimper came out of her throat when she finally got her breath back. “You’ll regret this…” she said. “I will best you one day… I’ll return to Eorzea,.. I’ll end the war… and make you PAY for what you have done… mark my words… mark... my…” She groaned softly and tried to sit up. Eventually, with her body trembling, she managed to gather her weapons and stagger away, giving herself as much distance from the blood crazed crown prince as possible, using her spear as a crutch to keep her up right.
Once she was out of eyesight from Zenos, she found an empty barrel and her body slumped over it…and vomited inside. The pain from losing once more, the nausea from her memory of their fight in Yanxia and the powerlessness of her situation crashed together and caused her a moment of stomach distress.

Renitra felt a twinge of excitement when Caius offically invited her to come with him on a caravan to Torensten. She clapped her hands in delight but thenfrowned. "I suppose I should fully disclose, when I met Celes, i wasn't at my best... Long story short... I had just woke up in Zephon following a fight with my nemesis. Its still a bit fuzzy but he threw me through a portal beyond time and space and I wound up in Provo... And then some bandits found me when I was coming to and mistook me for someone named Maria..." She said sheepishly. "Celes came to the same conclusion as the bandits and opted to rescue me. I'm still very greatful for her kindness and patience as we tried to clear up the misunderstanding."
She then nodded to Caius. "I'll be back in 10 minutes. I don';t have much to pack as it is." She performed another Far Eastern bow to him and walked out of the Drabonblades hideout. True to her word, she returned 15 minutes later. She looked ready. Her weapons were strapped to her body. Her spear on her shoulder and her astrometer attached and hanging on her waist. Her backpack was on her shoulders and she was shuffling a series of Sharlayan tarot cards absent mindedly. She had removed her blue gauntlets and was now wearing slennder white satin gloves sewn careefully into a pair of astrologian half sleeves to make a full set of gloves. Her hands were moving in such a way like she was trying to treat the cards with the utmost care. She looked at Caius and stopped shuffling. "Ah... Forgive me.. I was nervous. Needed to fiddle with something... I hope thats alright... By the way, I don't think you've said what your name is, Ser Drabonblade... If you would be willing to indulge me..."

Renitra's skin had started to pale by the time Celes caught sight of her. She was perspering somewhat harder than usual and she was starting to go into a delierum. She hadn't had heat like this since... well. Ifrit. The scene was already in her mind as she was unintentionally recreating the events of her battle with Ifrit with the present day.
In her flash back she was inside a ring of pure fire as the Amall'ja prayed for Ifrit to appear before them. Renitra was originally in a small group fo merchants that were kidnapped, alongside her, fated to be nothing more than sacrifices, Coals for Ifrit's flames to catch on. Her eyes widened in fear as Ifrit emerged from the Inferno and roared at everyone before declaring his intention to 'temper' them all to enkindle destructive fire over all of Eorzea before he suddenly breathed fire on everyone. Renitra instintively tried to throw her hands up but in the real world her hands were still tied to the pole behind her and thus wasn't able to. Not that it mattered in her delerium or in the past. When the flames subsided she looked around in utter confusion. Just as it happened in her past, she was unaffected.
"Thou art tempered by light..." Ifrit snarled. Renitra looked up in genuine confusion. "Then YOU SHALL BURN INTO THE SEVEN HELLS!" But before her recollection of the fight with Ifrit began, a new voice snapped her out of it. The call of 'Blizzaga' caused her eyes to pop open and see the bandit freeze and shatter thanks to the spell. The radiant cold was relief to her. She let off ashocked but happy sigh. "Fresh air... Twelve... thank you..." she said in a voice of gratitude. It was serious enough that she forgot her instincts to say 'Eleven' due to her distrust of Ala Mhigo's patron saint from the Twelve, Rhalgr the Destroyer
as Celes made her presence known and tried to cut Renitra free, she shifted slightly and spread her wrists as far as she could to try to make ti easier for her. She even turned her head to look at Celes. "Twelve bless you Adventurer..." Renitra said with genuine gratitude to her. "I am in your debt... These... beings.. think I go by 'Maria'. which is not true... I wouldn't be surprised if they were Ala Mhigans.." her bitterness when she said 'Ala Mhigans' came from being betrayed by two hailing from there. Not to mention the badnits who managed to get the drop on her did resemble them now Renitra thought about it. "Anyway... once I'm free.. can you help me get my weapons back? They stashed them in the tent on the other end of the camp. It's a spear and an Astrometer with cards orbiting around it."

As she descended she froze up. He didn’t remember her? How could it be? “But you-“ she began only to crash into the ground with a grunt and a thud. She rolled onto the ground and laid face down. She pushed herself up and grabbed her spear once again. “Seven hells… he can teleport… when has a Garlean ever displayed simple magic!? Unless… it’s because of what he did to Kri-“ she was going to accuse Zenos’ power on his experimentation on her beloved Krile when she saw the dark aether flowing into his scythe. “Oh… my… gods… ” she dropped the spear in utter horror. This was how he became even stronger as the Resonant. He can harness Aether now!
With the Unyielding Blades shooting out she tried her best to remain calm but on the inside she was genuinely freaking out. She was losing the fight, yet again! Everything she knew tactic wise was flung clear out the window as she tried desperately to compose herself. Her Astrometer whirled and spat out another card. The Spear in Astral (right side up) position. Its lower arcana was irons and chains. Just like Krile was in. She tried her best to clear it out of her mind. She tried to focus on the good meanings and interpretations. The Heaven of Ice was represented by the Spear. A resting place of the benevolent and gallant. Was she either? She was starting to doubt herself. She grabbed her spear and stabbed the card causing it to fade and imbue its power into it as she spun the spear and thrust into the blade trying to block it. Unfortunately, Zenos’ power was too strong yet again and she was blasted into the wall, where she was stuck, her eyes scrunched shut, her body spread eagle and stuck to the wall. “Ooowwww…” she coughed out

Renitra was quietly counting how many more children were waiting in line when she heard the older voice chatter excitedly about Materia. The first thing that came to mind was "An Eorzean!? Someone from my world is here?" and she looked around , causing her hair to swish to the side, and by the speed she spun around, knocked the santa hat off her head to see Yuffie Kisaragi on Father Christmas' lap. Her specific requests were unusual to Renitra. But what caught her attention was that Yuffie specifically said KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND. She had also said BAHAMUNT. Two Primals that Renitra had personal experience with. The Knights, also known as Archbishop Thordan and the Heavensward where the ones who killed her friend Haucherfaunt de Fortemps, while trying to bring a delusiuonal version of order over Ishgard and Dravania. Bahamut however... A fierce primal. The one responsible for inducing the Seventh Umbral Calamity onto Eorzea. She remembered fighting it alongside the Levinuer twins Alphinaud and Ailiese.
It took a bit of time for Renitra to calm herself. It was clear Yuffie wasn't Eorzean. but her features made her look Doman. Maybe she was Doman? At any rate, Renitra noted that Father Christmas was getting confused and stressed so she took it upon herself to defuse the situation. "Excuse me Madam." Renitra said trying to be as polite as possible. "While I'm also intrigued by your requests this year, I feel Father Christmas is confused. Its most likely that Mother Christmas handles Materia and the like." She winked to the Santa actor to clue him in. "Would it be possible for you to come down and have a word with me? I can personally see to it that Mother Christmas recieves your requests." She bowed in the traditional Doman (or Japanese/Far Eastern) style and shuffled sideways to gesture to Yuffie to come down. She just hoped Yuffie would listen

Christmas. To Renitra it was known as the Starlight Celebration, a fortnight long event in the Sixth Umbral Moon in the Eorzean Calender. The history of the holiday went back to the early days of the Dragonsong War, when displaced Ishgardian war orphans were left to fend for themselves in the harsh winters of the Cotheasian climate, but were rescued by temple knights who snuck them into their barracks in red jackets, due to the Temple Knights forbidding such charity. The orphans then vowed to repay this charity they had been given every Sixth Umbral Moon.
As Renitra reflected on the holidays origin, she was standing on guard beside a massive red sleigh where the Saint of Nymeria (who insisted she referred to him as Santa Claus or Father Christmas), or rather a Volunteer playing the role was sitting on, talking to children about what they want for a present. Way back when Renitra remembered doing something similar with a Saint of Nymeria back in Gridania. And one year she set about with her father, a Doman refugee to make mochi with a personalised hammer and mortar, but was a hilarious disaster due to the Carpenters Guild failing to understand the specifications that they had mapped out for the hammer and mortar. The end result was the hammer looking like a croquet mallet, and the mortar itself was more... kobold alchemy oven than round platform to pound said mochi. Needless to say the attempt to make the mochi came out a mangled pancake. It was still a speical holiday memory she held close to her heart.
Renitra was in Torensten to help with the town's Christmas celebration. To that end she was wearing her own Saint of Nyemia outfit. A Red jacket with skirt, mittens that went up to her elbows and red knee high boots, along silver tinsel and trim all over the outfit. Her job was simply to protect Santa, and when he was done, Renitra was to take the sleigh and personally deliver the presents on his behalf. What could go wrong?

"Well, outside of being a Scion I was an adventurer, And those things were common jobs. Slay this, nab this poacher, protect caravan, gather hunting targets for their meat, catch bugs to make a delicous candy for beasts..." Renitra counted the types of tasks she had done off on her fingers thinking about what Caius had said concerning what the Drabonblades were. Then came the statement of neutrality "Thats Scions too. They were not bound by any one of the city states or Grand Companies. We presented ourselves when there was a great threat. Like a Primal, an avatar of a beastial tribes God. I've faced like... a lot of those... So I'm aware of potential risks."
She then heard what Caius said about it jobs being potentially short on money and that they are not in the business of being mercinaries for the money. "That makes perfect sense. You do it because you think it's what's right, right? Even when you lose faith in peopple... you still solider on because it's the right thing to do..." Renitra slowed and her voice trailed. She was talking from experience. She soldiered on in the Dragonsong War for 5 years. She even went with Alphinaud and Estinen to try and stop it peacefully by parleying with the heretic leader Ysale, and the dragon Hraesvelgr because it was the right thing to do. Even when her friend Haucherfaunt was killed by the Heavensward, she still went after them and even fought Bismarck. Not because of revenge... well it was partially the reason, but because it was the right thing to do, to stop Archbishop Thordan's plan to become a Primal to control the world. It took her a great deal of time for her to eventually heal her heart after all of the bitterness, loss and sadness.
Strangely enough she didn't make a smart comment about the warning that Caius had given her about the group. She wanted to be in this group. It felt right. A scion by any other name was just as good to her, not to mention she had a feeling Caius had bitterness as well. He didn't look like he was in high spirits and in her mind, she thought he founded the Drabonblades simply because it was the right thing to do. She paused, and eventually...
"Children of the Land, answer this: Why do you turn to empty bliss? Tell me why break trust, turn the past to dust, seeking solace in the abyss..." She sung the lyric slowly and quietly. She had learnt that song from two people. Ysale and Midgardsormr. Her analysis of Caius brought the song to her mind. She eventually realised and looked up to Caius. "Forgive me... I just... i don';t know. I feel a sort of resonance when your words. You made this group because you wanted to do right by people. I can respect that. I'm not making this request to join you lightly either. I'm aware of what dangers could be... And like i said.. to be working with those who shared the same situation as I have, this who came to this world by no fault of their own... We might help each other... Not on the field... but in the heart."

Upon seeing Caius Dragelion, the (unknown to her) leader of the Drabonblades stare at her perplexed, Renitra raised her eyebrow at his open mouth. She was about to put her finger to his nose to check if he was still breathing when he finally spoke. "Are you OK...?" She asked softly, clearly concerned for his wellbeing having seen him trail off. She slowly moved her blue gauntlet hand to carefully shut his jaw when he spoke again. It didn't take a vision from her Echo to figure out he wasn't in a good mental space at the present time
"You Look like someone I know..."
She internally smacked her palm into her forehead. She was mistaken for Celes AGAIN! Well, she figured she should defuse it with a light hearted joke. "It's OK. I've been mistaken for a lot of people lately. if i had 100 gil for every time it's happened, I could buy a blessing from Nald'thal themselves!" She then realized her attempt to defuse made no sense. "What am I saying... You're probably not even from Eorzea, let alone Ul'dah. Forgive me..." She said clearly embarrassed.
"But in all seriousness... I remind you of Celes Chere don't I? I've met her already." Renitra decided to go straight to the point. No point dancing about it. "My name is Renitra Terasu." She opted for her full original name. After all, Starspear was her Adventurer name. "My adventurer name is Renitra Starspear. I um... well I'm new to Zephon for one... I met Celes on my first day here after I had a mishap with some bandits... I still feel embarrassed I sullied her name by it. People thought I was her. So... Celes told me about your group. The Drabonblades I think she called it? The way she spoke of it, it reminded me of a group I worked for back in my world, The Scions of the Seventh Dawn. It may be impossible for me to return home... But I would like to ask if it's possible to ask to join your cause. A group similar to the Scions... it'll be a comfort and a pleasure to fight along side... people who have the wish to safeguard the realm from Dangers. Primals, Eikons, power drunk Garlean arseholes who kidnap smallfolk..." That last one was a potshot at her at present nemsis, Zenos yae Galvus. "And other stuff probably..." She added. She let off a far eastern bow, a part of her Doman heritage to Caius.
"... I probably should dye my hair and get a different dye on my armor huh? It's no leotard, but these days you can dye anything. Even tortoiseshell mail like this." She asked trying to be good humored about the similarities between her and Celes

Renitra looked surprised as she saw the dishevelled Alexander Sorel approach, clearly annoyed with her just by showing her face. Then he set her off by accusing her of being a Crystal Brave. A CRYSTAL BRAVE. The same grand company that Alphinaud attempted to form, and then under the guidance of the traitorous Ala Mhigan Illberd, framed her for the death of Nanamo Ul-Nano. She stared dumbstruck at the accusation. Eventually she found her voice. It was soft, low… and pissed.
”How… DARE you… How fucking DARE YOU ASSOCIATE ME WITH THE CRYSTAL TRAITORS!” She snarled. “You… know NOTHING! Nothing at all of what those dishonest, scheming, conniving little shits are capable of! And you know NOTHING of what I’ve had to endure from them!” As she spoke, her mind immediately went back to being on top of Baelsar’s Wall. Back when Illberd performed his dread ritual to summon the Primal Shinryu…
Flashback: Renita took a step forward closer to Illberd who slowly rose to his feet laughing maniacally. “Stand down Illberd… your strike on the wall has failed! End your crusade.. you’ll be granted leniency… a mercy undeserving after all you gave done!” She snarled as she lowered her spear.
”oh you Poor little Gridanian.” Illberd taunted. “It’s too late already. You’re too late to stop what I’ve done… now you’ll have to fight.” He presented the frozen eyes of the dreadwyrm Nidhogg. “With these eyes… I will become a demon, that will end the Empire in one swoop! And if it doesn’t work, you’ll have to free them, lest you be under their yoke…” with that he jumped off and landed on a precarious spire, as if he was balancing a crane kick.
“Don’t do this!” Renitra insisted holding out her hand as if offering it to pull him back from the proverbial abyss as her friends Alphinaud, Palpalymo and Yda rushed up to meet with her. However at the last second, an explosion rocked the wall. Renitra turned to see the massacre and smell the explosive aftermath of a horde of Magitek Armors unleashing cerluean powered firepower and plasma cannons at the Ala Mhigan resistance warriors who stormed the wall. The sight of it caused her anger to surge. “You did not…. Just let them be slaughtered…” she said slowly turning to Illberd.
“Of course I did Lass! Many others laid down their lives for you as this lot did for me!”
”DO NOT MOCK HAUCHERFAUNT OR YSALE!” She snarled. Illberd just laughed. He held the eyes to his chest.
“An ending… to mark a beginning…” he said before falling backwards, letting off a chilling laugh of pure contempt and insanity. Renitra jumped onto the spire he fell off and looked down in shock to try and reach out, to save him. Even if she hated him for all he had done to her, she couldn’t bring herself to let him fall… but she was too late as a sickening crunch filled the air… The blood from her face fell as she saw the mangled aftermath….
Back to the present moment: Renitra was frozen, hand held out as if she was reliving the scene on Baelsar’s Wall. Eventually she realised where she was and her hand started to clench and tremble with Halonic fury. “You… have NO idea what he did to me… do you know what it’s like to be wrongfully accused of Murder? Do you know what it feels like being helpless to prove yourself innocent, how it feels to flee everything you know? I had to struggle to make those pious freaks in Ishgard accept me, 5 long years I was forced to fight dragons, with nothing more than anger and hatred, a wish for vengeance to fuel me… if I could, I would be the one to make Illberd’s little sidekicks dance the hangman’s jig… hells, I’d draw it out. It would have been JUSTICE for everything! Trying to poison me onto death, framing me, Givimg the Warriors of Darkness a chance to kill me and end Eorzea with an Umbral Calamity… being forced to fight for a dishonest civilisation thay DESERVED Imperial rule… ALL OF IT!” She spat out. “WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT IT HUH?! ANSWER ME!!” She looked as if she was going to rip Alex a new one, or at the very least start a fight with him

Renitra Starspear had finally come to terms living in Zephon. It was still hard for her to accept but any chance of returning home was slim to none. Her friends... Her family... Never to see her again. Whenever she thought that it almost broke her. However in arriving in Zephon, she had seen people have hope and there were others from other worlds in her exact situation. On her first day alone she ran afoul of bandits and was held captive by then while she was still disoriented from her dimensional displacement, however she was duly rescued by a woman named Celes. Celes actually took Renitra by surprise at their similarities. They both wore yellow, and their hair was almost the same, although they were both blondes. Celes had let it slip that she was part of a group calling themselves the Drabonblades and they sought to do heroic deeds for the people. The concept sounded similar to her original team in the Scions of the Seventh Dawn...
Renitra had to know more. She had remained Provo to learn more about them, while performing the occasional adventurer assignment of daring do good to make the occasional gil. Adventuring was still as lucrative as it was in Eorzea, although many of her clients kept mistaking her for Celes. At times like that, Renitra considered changing her armor, or forming a glamour plate or even dying her hair so she didn't confuse people further, as well as not anger Celes. Renitra still felt embarrassed over the bandit incident after all.
But thanks to her diligence and perseverance she found the hideout of the Drabonblades. She boldly went up to the door and carefully knocked. Usually she was very confident when making contact with unknowns, but this time she felt nerves in her stomach. She didn't know who would come to greet her. She just hoped it was someone receptive to her request to join them...
