So often inside of Torenstein, Terra found herself just kind of wandering about. The port district was almost always one of her favorite haunts. It was one of her favorites as it reminded her of home back in Mobliz. It was the gentle motion of the waves that helped her mind calm down and relax from any issues that were plaguing her mind. Despite these feelings she could always keep her mind calm and under control. This was truly a good thing as her emotions were a control over her Esperkin side. Yet she knew should she transform ever without her own actions that it would cause people to think of her as a monster. Just as they had when she had transformed and helped defend the city in the past.
Though today she was not heading in the direction of the port. Instead her wandering had found her to one of the smaller shop-like districts. Walking out through the cafes she gathered herself something to eat and drink. After finishing her meal she stood up and walked out to the road nearby. Walking along she was inside of her own mind as she moved along. That is until she heard a commotion behind her and she quickly turned her gaze back behind herself.
"Oh hells not again..." She spoke out loudly as she saw something that made her blood run a little cold. Several large chocobo charging toward her pulling a large empty wagon behind them. Time was slowing down in the moment as she quickly glanced to see if there was anywhere she could quickly dive toward for safety. Sadly it seemed that there was only a nearby table that she could dive onto in order to avoid the incoming chocobos. So she did just that diving off to the side of the road and onto a nearby table which collapsed onto her. With a groan the chocobos rumbled past herself and the person with whom she would be made acquainted with as she landed on their table.
Lifting her head she could not help but smile and chuckle to herself. "Nice to meet you... Didn't mean to just dive into your day like this." With that she could not help but keep the goofy looking smile on her face as the chocobos thundered off down the road away from them.

Terra could not help but smile widely. The slight cool air that touched her skin inside of the morning air was the cause of the smile that stuck upon her face. Alongside that the cool air felt amazing as she took in several deep breaths and after inhaling each breath she let the breath linger for a few seconds before releasing the held breath. Releasing each held breath slowly she took the moment to extend her arms over her head and stretch out her shoulders and back. As she let out the last of the breaths she let her arms fall down to her sides as she walked along. She loved Torenstein as the city made her feel safe enough that she was not always looking over her shoulder expecting to get ambushed and killed or robbed at any moment. Slowly Terra was heading for one of her favorite places inside of Torenstein. This walk was needed by Terra as she had met an interesting young woman named Yuffie a few days earlier and it had given her many things to think about. Through this young girl she had found out that Celes was still here and running around doing good deeds alongside protecting others as only she could. These things had brought a smile to Terra's face and it made her proud to call Celes her friend. Yet despite her own knowledge that she would forever call Celes a friend she did not know if Celes would reciprocate those feelings of friendship 2with the Esperkin. There would be a time and place for her to meet her friend once more and once that day came she would approach it with a smile upon her face and many stories of her own travels. Her walk had taken her toward the boardwalk of Torenstein as she had come to enjoy this little area more than most others within the city. Especially when it was the earlier in the day as it was right in the here and now. Her legs brought her there without much hesitation and she moved to the edge of the boardwalk and finding a spot on the railing that overhung the water beneath her feet made her smile grow a little wider. Leaning forward she rested her arms on the railing in front of herself. Gazing out over the water she could not help but allow her mind to wander and think about how these waters would look flying through the sky on either the Falcon or Blackjack. She was so lost in thought that it took a few moments to register that something had landed upon her head. In a singular motion she could not help but swing her arms and attempt to swat the seagull that had landed upon her head. "Gah... Blasted bird. I am not a perch for you now fly off...." Yelling out Terra could not help herself but flail for a few moments before recollecting herself. Glancing around she hoped that no one had seen that display but there was always a chance that someone had caught that hilarious scene. (( Caius Dragelion ))

A light laugh escaped Terra’s lips as she was hefted back to her feet. It seemed that this person was a kindly type and that was welcome for her. For simple moments like this were good times and who knew it might be the start of a brilliant friendship. Yet only time would be able to figure that out. A slight movement from the elven woman caught Terra’s attention and she would keep the movement in her mind as she could not help herself. “Oh it would take much more than a little bump like that to hurt a little ol me. Accidents happen.. As for delaying me, you are not doing that in the slightest. I have no destination nor plans at the moment. I have been drifting as the wind blows as an old friend would say.” Speaking softly Terra brushed off her side where she had made contact with the ground. Being dirty was not something that really bothered her. As back home each day she would have dirtied clothing and a smudged face from just the basic duties of helping the orphans around town. Raising an arm over her right should she stretched out a little and lightly touched the hairpin she had in her hair as she stretched. A gift after Kefka was killed from Edgar that she held dear. ”Are you also a visitor to this world or are you one of the lovely people I have had the pleasure of meeting here on Zephon?” Terra had to find a way to keep a pleasant conversation going and this seemed to be the easiest way to do it in her mind. All Terra wished to do was find more friendly faces and in some time possibly find Celes once more. Though her friend would be someone she would seek out in the future as that was not something in the pressing needs in her mind. (( Laurelin Hawthorne ))

Terra could not help but give a slight chuckle at just how energetically that Yuffie was responding to her. It was honestly like the kids back home in Mobliz and how anytime they did something they had come running to her time and again. Though there was that word again ‘materia’ whatever that was. Though she could just simply ask what it is as she had never really heard of it outside of Yuffie. Yet as she was about to bring it up Yuffie would continue to speak and explain her personal difference between accosting someone and ambushing someone. It made her chuckle and raise her hand to cover her mouth. ”So you also come from a place that has been torn apart by a war that never seems to end? Is there not a single world were there is not some world altering war or madman behind it going around.” She could not help herself as Terra was quite tired of that exact thing from her own world and all her time here while peaceful made her worry. As so many others had come from world torn apart as well by war and strife. Just how many damaged people could you have in a single place before the same would begin anew but with the ‘heroes’ turned into villains this time. Though as Yuffie began to explain f irst about the agreement with the pigeons then a bout the Dragon Blades she could not help but feel that there might be a chance for her to actually do some good. An organaziation like that might be perfect for someone with her skills. Plus it would give her possibly a home so that she was not living inside of a deep forest anymore. Yet as she spoke about how there is a tough tryout and how she passed with flying colors Terra could not help but smile toward her and pull her cloak around to show Yuffie. ”I think that this should be proof enough of my own deeds. I fought something claiming to be an embodiment of chaos itself in Torenstein. It happened… oh it feels like years ago but I was given this as a thanks from the town’s leadership. Yet I feel if needed I could pass with ‘flying colors’ as you called it. Though I am curious on something. What is this materia you keep talking about? As where I am from we had nothing like that as only a few of us could use Magic naturally. Like this.” As she said the last bit she conjured a small flame that flickers around her hand for a moment before making it disappear again. Such a small application of the Fire spell would do nothing to her so she was more then fine with using it in this instance. (( Yuffie Kisaragi ))

Yuffie’s words about ninja endurance once more made Terra internally chuckle. As she had never met someone who spun such tales with such ease. Well outside of the King of Figaro and his tales of prowess with women. Outside of this one instance and person she had never heard tales that entertained her and yet at the same time made her shake her head. . Though as Yuffie got up and spoke asking a simple question toward Terra she could not help but nod toward her. ”Nope… Closest I knew of was a companion of mine for a time who went by Shadow. Threw sharpened stars and read scrolls of magic to fight others.” She spoke truthfully and without any real filter as she would do. Though she quickly came to realize that this person knew about the world just as Tifa seemed to. Which was a bit of a relief as she would not have to explain herself to this young woman. Yet her mention about not having any ninjas and it being a crappy world made her chuckle. She would call her world a little crappy but that was for different reasons at the moment than not having ninjas. ”Yes we do not have any outside of small bands that really just accosted people and were not all that hospitable to outsiders.” She responded as she stopped chuckling to herself. Taking a seat on the ground she looked over at Yuffie as she started her explanation about what she was doing. There was that name again that stuck with Terra for some reason. ”A pigeon? They are little monsters. Always in the way and loud, annoying birds… but I need to ask. What are the Dragon Blades? I see that there are several recruitment posters around about them and who is leading them? As I am an experienced fighter and magus. I could be of some assistance to them if they would need the help.” Terra spoke softly as she could not help but gloat just a little bit about her own experiences without going into any real detail about them. After hearing from the populace how it seemed that these guys were good, she would not hesitate to help them should the need ever arise. (( Yuffie Kisaragi ))

Terra could not help but raise an eyebrow as Yuffie called out and said Punk Rock. It was a phrase that she was not really familiar with. Yet it seemed that she might get a lesson inside of. Despite that she was still there to help her. As Yuffie began to speak up her excuse Terra once more could not help but let out a light chuckle. Calling hanging upside down a ‘secret ninja technique’ made her chuckle extend only a few more moments before she spoke. ”I would suggest trying that somewhere… A little more comfortable and easier to get down from. As I would feel hanging on an iron fence would not be a great place for such techniques.” A little chuckle came from Terra as she finished speaking up. Feeling the pressure upon her shoulder she knew that Yuffie was going to free herself. Then it came with a slight release of a cry and sudden pressure on Terra’s back. It was with some slight effort on her part to stay standing. Thankfully it seemed that this girl was quite light or at least was close to Terra in weight. Though the weight did not last that long. Instead a chuckle came out and Terra turned to face the woman. As she staggered and introduced herself to Terra she smiled at her. Terra was ready to catch her should she stumble a little too far. “Ninja Extraordinaire? That is a title I can say I have never heard before. I am Terra… a simple traveling magus.” With her own introduction done she gave a very slight bow of her head. That was something of a holdover from her time being around Edgar and the others. Though with that spoken she looked at Yuffie who was in a strange pose but she could not help but chuckle again. “Can I ask what it is that you were doing before you wound up on that fence Yuffie? As I still feel that was truly not some great ninja technique you were working on.” Her tone was obviously not serious and yet was still partially serious. She could not help herself as it was a tone that she had struck up while watching the orphans back in Mobliz. So it just kind of stuck with her. (( Yuffie Kisaragi ))

Terra had gotten herself a place to rest inside of Torenstein. That part was thankfully the easy part as this innkeeper seemed to remember her saving the town. It was something that she was grateful for as she did not have a lot of gil on her. Returning to the city streets she was walking along when she finally heard something that caught her attention. It was like someone was yelling out for assistance and her green haired head glanced back and forth til she spotted what she assumed was a female hanging on a nearby iron fence. Walking over Terra listened to her as she spoke and nervously laughed. Terra could not help but smile and let out a little laugh of her own. ”This looks really uncomfortable. How did you even manage to get into this predicament?” She could not help but speak up as she walked to look around at the entire situation. Seeing everything she moved so that Yuffie could place a hand onto Terra’s shoulder. “Here use my shoulder to push yourself up. If you are still caught I can cut those straps holding you upside down. Unless that is that you want to stay hanging upside down inside of a side alley that even I could barely hear you from the main street.” Terra could not help herself but keep a smile on her face. This was an amusing situation that she had never been inside of before. This was something that only someone from this world could get into as it seemed that things were not all that world ending consequences to things. It was quite the refreshing breath of air compared to many things she was used to. (( Yuffie Kisaragi ))

Terra could not help but smile as Tifa mentioned that it was always nice to have a group of people close to her. Alongside having that group helping alongside her. The thoughts of all those from back home made her smile internally. Each of them unique and special and she missed all of them dearly. Yet alongside that she knew full well that she had at least one friend here, and yet she purposely kept herself away as to not disturb her. ”Thank you and I will do the same. Should I find anyone that speaks of your story then maybe I will send them your way. As for where I live.. I really do not live anywhere in particular here. I just kind of travel and help out where I can for food and for shelter.” Terra responded as she looked down at her hands before lifting them and grabbing another apple off the tree in front of her. While her shift had occurred she could not help but grasp at the apple and pull it back down. Hearing the question come up from Tifa and then a quick transition to something new came from the monk. Hearing about the explosives hurting innocents she could not help but close her eyes and allow her head to droop as her shoulders slumped a little. ”What I am led to destruction. It was my blood that led to a project that wound up damaging the mind of one man to the point he became insane. Another was hurt because of me and Celes… she was never the same after.”Terra could not help herself as she raised her slightly shaking hand. Grasping it with her other hand she could not help but raise her gaze as she opened her eyes toward Tifa. ”“We… did not save it. Our planet I mean. Instead we doomed it by believing that someone could change and instead the Emperor and his jester played us all for the fools. So many innocent people lost their lives because we chose to believe him. Then he turned the “gift” they said I was born with against the world. Killing entire cities, reshaping the world before our very eyes. I was there recovering outside of a town called Mobliz from injuries I gained during our fight against the pair of them when the town was… cleansed by the Light of Judgement.”
“The shaking of the ground woke me from my fitful slumber and I… I could not believe what I saw. All but two teenagers and then young children of the town had been killed by concentrated magic. So many were killed and I took charge. Despite my injuries I helped them gather the children underground and I took to burying the dead and leading them. I wonder how they are doing right now. The world was better when I left as we had removed the god from his tower but I still worry…” Terra could not help but just let everything out as she finally found a friendly ear to just bend and twist to hear her entire story. There was much that she had kept silent and yet in the moment she felt she could share with Tifa. (( Tifa Lockhart ))

”There were a couple of people that cared about me… They did what they could for me growing up.” Terra spoke up in response with a little smile crossing her lips. The few memories that she had of her past about when Cid had shown her and Celes a day away from Vector. Those few fleeting days were the best days of her life until she was freed from the Slave Crown. Though she saw the smile cross Tifa’s lips from what she had said made her feel warm inside. As to have someone else smile at her words or actions was really one of the few things that she did intentionally. Listening to her speak about her childhood did nothing but make her feel happy. To know that there are places that were untouched to the madness she knew in her life. That was a simple thing and yet things always seemed to circle in and around itself and happen over and over again. Though as she spoke up telling her about how her own planet took a beating and then apologized to her. It caught Terra a little off guard and yet she would not show much emotion quite yet. “Since coming here to Zephon I have… recovered some of the strength that I had. Not everything but alot of my strength has been returned to me. So for now… yes I am alright. Though if there is anyone that you think could help I would not mind meeting them. As I am never against meeting someone that has been through the things I have also gone through.” Terra spoke softly and without really thinking as she could feel the magic swirl about her for a moment. In that moment from her right hand up and over her body in a wave of magic she would shimmer to her Esperkin form. Then it would vanish just as fast as it flashed before Tifa’s eyes. Lowering her head for a moment she could not help herself as she turned back to the tree. “Where I came from… I am the last one alive that can do what I do. It is a burden to know that my own actions basically killed half of myself, but I have lived with that. I live with that knowing that by doing this I managed to save so many more people.”(( Tifa Lockhart ))

Terra could not help herself as she kept a smile on her face as she picked a couple more of the brilliant red apples and tossed them into her basket. Though the smile did slip a little as she was asked if she had done this as a kid. ”I did grow up inside of a city… I barely saw the outside of the city growing up as I was.. Special and they did not let me out of sight to often…” Terra was not going to divulge all the experiments and everything else that she had been subjected to over her earliest years of life. That was a topic that she would only really speak with a few people about. No matter how nice Tifa seemed she had not gained Terra’s trust to that extent yet. “How about yourself? Growing up had to be a pleasant experience for you. Especially if you have fond memories like doing this in the past.”Though as Tifa turned to give her her full attention Terra could not help but feel herself shrink away a little. It was still a natural reflex for her despite everything that she had been through. Hearing Tifa explain everything that she had been through actually brought a little sense of calm over Terra. As she had found someone it seemed that was a kindred spirit to her. Someone who had been through hell and came out the other side mostly the same. Awaiting Tifa to finish up Terra set down her basket and glanced around the orchard. It seemed that they were still alone and that was good. ”Something similar happened in my world. Except the man who attacked our planet won the first major battle of our world. Took over the very focus of magics on our world and used it to mete out justice to any who slighted him. Though as you said it took us a long time and many hardships but we also managed to defeat our madman… It was at a major cost though as magic itself was sucked away from our use and that… hurt me more than many.” She would leave an explanation for later as Tifa needed only the barest of information for right now. There would be a simple explanation and would show her the example rather simply. Despite her standing there she was very apprehensive speaking about this to anyone outside of those she had experienced it all with. (( Tifa Lockhart ))
