His platonic words being misconstrued did strike a cord with Terra. It was something that she still struggled with. It was so difficult for her to remember everything taught to her from Edgar and Locke while she was in the Forest living off the land. Yet with that she still would continue to work on herself. Even if she had no idea how to interact with too many people. Her thoughts trailed off as he spoke about not being used to showing motions of compassion. When he mentioned that there is a chance that he was in the same boat as her she could not help but nod and speak. ”Possibly… I know that for the longest of times I could not understand any motion toward me. Celes and the other REturneers helped me get over that and to teach me. Though I think.. One of the men who tried to teach me was only teaching me so that he could try and seduce me. Or at least that is what Celes said when we talked.” Her words came out slowly and with purpose as she walked alongside him. Stopping her stride as he spoke about paying for her place to stay. She nodded and it was obvious that she was happy about this as her eyes widened and she smiled widely toward him. “That would be the best thing… Definitely better than staying in that shack in the woods as I have been… Thank you Caius for the hospitality. And bulletin boards? Ok that is a place to start I understand. I guess it is better than standing around waiting on a monster to attack or something like my last trip here…” Terra could not help but ramble out her words as her excitement was showing through her words. For her this was a genuine gesture of kindness and she was going to make the most of it. She took a few steps in front of him and took in a few deep breaths and gave a small spin as she looked up at the sky. “I guess today is not that bad of a day.”(( Caius Dragelion ))

“Celes has always been someone who appreciates things being said to her face to face and without any subtlety. Well at least the Celes I traveled with was that way. If.. everyone is pulled from different eras and timetables I do not know what they would of experienced or not.” Terra sighed as she rubbed the side of her head as she thought about what she had said in response to Caius’s words. She took in a deep breath as she just wanted to speak out her heart toward Celes but with her not here in the here and now had made this into something of an awkward position. As all the pent up words and emotions had to be put back away into a bottle and held onto for later. Terra could not help but feel that the words about the Returneres had gotten to Caius. As it seemed to give the man some pause. This pause was not a bad thing in the least. It did seem that her hand on his shoulder also had had a good reaction as he did not shrug it off instantly nor did he quickly shy away from it. Yet even with it she could not help but feel a little awkward. ”I was told that this was a gesture to… show someone sincerity and that what I said I was serious about. Or did I do this wrong?”With her words spoken she recalled her hand and took a few steps ahead of Caius. Stopping as Caius spoke once more. Taking in the moment and the words she raised a finger to her chin. “Not in Torenstein. The place I had was… well in the depths of the Metaia Forest. It was nothing more than a two room shack I made from some busted wagons I found. So… outside of that I had a single night in an inn here in town. Was going to try and find a place to earn some gil. Ran out of what I had a while back.”She nervously chuckled as she looked at herself as outside of her weapon and headwear there was no indication that she was not hurting in any manner for funds. So her trip here was something of a double edged sword. “One of the reasons I wanted to find Celes… To see if she knew anyone that I could do some good for. You know do something good earn a meal and a roof over my head type of thing? And well you are a blessing.”(( Caius Dragelion ))

"Forgiving of misspoken words? I think I can be but I am not to sure. I am not to sure though..." Terra could not help herself but speak up and respond to him. There is a chance that she had dealt with misspoken words in teh past especially with King Edgar. Yet she did not want to say it for certain one way or another. Rubbing the side of her head she could not help but feel a little bad about not being able to give him a straight answer. Yet after all of that she was quiet for a bit. More because she had to wait to see what Caius would say to everything else that she had said. It was not long after though that he began to speak. Hearing about Caius's world made her internally frown. As it sadly seems that destruction widespread across worlds seem to be a common thing. That thought was still depressive to her psyche. Yet there had to be some worlds where things turned out well after the adventures ended. Turning her gaze to match his looking out over the ocean as he continued to speak. Listening to him speak about his early adventures and how it seemed that Celes had put him on the right path. Her smile returned to her face wide as before. She just listened to his entire story word for word as he shared it with her. Terra could not help herself as she just listened in and nodded along understanding the story. Hearing about how the Dragonblades were first starting created for him to find a purpose and then it turned into a family. This made sense to her and she could not help but understand this sentiment. "My friends started off quite similar to the Dragonblades. United in but only a singular purpose and then we became more through our travels. We became.. well in my own mind we became a family by the end of it. My closest and dearest friends. The few people that I would push myself to the breaking point and would give my life for. So we are similar Sir Caius. I take my strength from those memories that I carry. To see their faces once more..." Terra could not help herself as she spoke on all of his words. They were similar people it seemed except it seemed that she had a few extra things about her. Yet with it all she only seemed to enjoy being around this man and wanting to be in the place alongside Celes. Terra reached over and placed a hand onto his shoulder and lightly patted him on the same shoulder. "So we are to work together to make this world a better place? Especially if we cannot return home. Make this world a better place to live and maybe find a family to live alongside?" She let her words hang in the ether around them as she felt that was the right thing to do in the moment. “All friends have moments where they fight. It is only natural after all. It is how we react that makes us friends with someone else.” Terra spoke as she could not help but reiterate something that she had to keep telling herself. She had to keep doing this while she had to spend so much time alone. Everything she did she needed to do in order to be good to her friends and not a danger to them or anyone else that they might have become friends with. It was with a breath she could not help but realize that silence had grown between them after she finished speaking about everything. Yet as she was about to continue she would hear Caius speak up and add in his two cents worth to the conversation. Hearing him mention that it seemed that he was not the only one to survive in a blighted hellscape made her turn her gaze from the ocean and toward the man with a soft smile on her face. Seeing his own smile on his face made Terra hesitant to speak up at the moment. Yet it was that Celes did not mention that they were successful and made her stop her steps as she turned toward the ocean and looked out at it. ”Then this is the same Celes that I stood in front of Kefka alongside and shielded from his Searing Gaze of Fire. Yet it still feels like it is the same woman, but your words make it feel as if she is her just from the time of the destruction of the world. We were all broken by that Caius. Each of us had to overcome things…” The words would slowly escape her lips and draw out til they started to fade upon the wind as it swirled around her. Looking at the water and the crashing waves she continued after a minute. ”After the destruction I found myself washed up to a village in the farthest reaches of our world. The adults of the town helped nurse me to health and then the day I was to leave I watched them… I watched them all shield the children asa Magical Blaze came from the skies and killed all of them in front of their children. Kefka used his power as a god to kill all the parents of that town and leave the children to suffer and die. Thankfully, he did not know I was there. I wound up becoming the mother figure to all of those children. I stood up to every beast that came to destroy the town. I stood and yet found myself anchored there by self doubt that overwhelmed me. It was not until Celes arrived with our friends Sabin and Setzer that with their lives in danger by a beast named Phunbaba that I snapped from the stupor and rejoined the path to defeat Kefka. Ever since that day I have always wanted to repay Celes from her determination she showed me. She made me become this better version of myself by her sheer will. I will do what I can to help her now, Caius. No matter the mission that you and the Dragonblades will have for me. Ask and I will do it.” She finished speaking Terra would turn back and look back at Caius. ”Enough about my own apocalyptic world. I want to know about your world and those that you held close to your heart. As you must have stories of your own that inspire and are were you draw your own strength from.” As she finished speaking she walked over beside Caius once more matching him stride for stride. It seemed that her words had had an impact upon Caius. As Caisu seemed to be dumbfounded with her speaking of the ancient spells she had heard others speak about in passing and that she had tried to use. The only time that she could even attempt to use it it nearly burned her up even with her blasting it far away from her. Despite her words to stay calm she had paid attention to the fact that his arm had moved toward what she could only assume was a knife or sword behind his back. That was something that she had expected so it honestly didn't bother her at all. As she was back to her normal state she could not help but give a gentle smile toward Caius and turn her gaze toward the sea. Listening to Caius speak up and understand her thoughts made her smile stay. With that she kept her gaze away and out at the ocean. Listening to him speak she could not help but nod a few times before speaking up. “I would be honored to walk along the person that has kept my friend sane and calm through these many years. For that you will always have my gratitude Caius. As for speaking about the Returners… I would be honored to speak about our friends. Each one of them are great people and are important to us both.”Speaking Terra turned back to him with her gentle smile plainly visible upon her face. Despite that she could not help but think about the words that she was going to say. There were so many different things that she could speak upon first but the first thing she felt would have to be explaining what she was to the man and what had fully happened. Closing her eyes she took in a deep breath and then opened them slowly as she exhaled. “I guess I can start off this conversation with explaining to you what I am and what happened to us in those final days. Sir Caius I am something called an Esperkin. In our world there were once beings of immense magical power called the Espers. They could wield magic in all its forms and strengths to fight or defend others. I… am the only living one remaining as Kefka captured or killed all of them. Yet I am not a pure blooded one instead I am the result of an Esper falling in love with my human mother. My father Maduin was a stoic fighter and guided us as we fought back against Kefka in his blighted hellscape.” Terra spoke slowly and with a purpose as she walked beside Caius. Her words were quiet enough so that just the two of them could hear it. ”The Returners made it all the way to the pinnacle of his power. We fought the avatars of magic on our planet and we destroyed them. Then we fought and killed the man who held the reins of a god through our efforts, but at the cost of all magic upon our world. All of our allies who had been blessed by the Espers magic knowledge lost their connection to those spells. Yet I… I felt it more intrinsically than anyone else. Being basically a being of pure magic I felt it rip and tear at my very soul and then it was gone. It was that way for months before I wandered through a dense fog to this world and my magic returned to me. Modified by this planet but restored to its full power and then some.” She finished speaking and sighed as she finally caught her breath. There was much more to speak about but this would work for now. (( Caius Dragelion ))

Terra would nervously nod toward Caisu as he spoke out that she had been avoiding Celes for years. It was not something that she was proud of, instead it was a point of shame for her. Yet despite that she had a reason for the absence from Celes’ life. Lowering her head she turned her gaze out toward the ocean. Looking out over the waves just as she used to in Mobliz she took in a deep breath. “There was a reason that I had to stay away from her Sir Caius. I was a risk to her and to many others if I was not able to get control over myself. I noticed it shortly after I had helped Torenstein against the being of Chaos…”Lifting her gaze as the winds caught her green hair causing it to blow back toward the man to whom her back was. Though as she let the silence speak out between them she listened to him speak about why she had not come by their base of operations and a full explanation as to why they were avoiding one another made her lightly chuckle. Raising up her right hand she would use it to get his attention as she would find the words as she turned back to look him face to face. ”If you promise to not freak out I will explain to you exactly why I could not just show up at your home base… that and I will show you the reason.” Taking a breath she remained quiet as she waited for his response to her words. Once he agreed she tok another nervous breath as she inhaled deeply before looking around quickly to make sure noone else was around. Exhaling she let the magic flow around herself and glow from deep within and she would Morph in front of him into her Esperkin self. Taking a few moment to allow the wind to flow over her now fur covered self she would speak back up. ”It was because of this I could not be around her nor anyone else… When I arrived here on Zephon the magic coursed back through me I found it easy to use but as time went along I started to have more and more difficulty with it. The magic kept overwhelming me and causing me to spontaneously transform into the state you see in front of you. Plus it would make my magic horribly unstable. A simple Fire spell would come out with the force of a Firaja spell. Then the next time I called upon it nothing would happen. It has taken me years to fully understand the magic as best as I could in order to change back and forth willingly into this side of myself and back.”As she spoke she would transform back into her normal looking self without so much as batting an eye nor breaking her gaze with Caius. Taking a few more moments to gather her thoughts she continued to speak. “I could not come back til I had control and… well I would like for you to tell her that you have found me and that I am looking forward to seeing her once more. I wanted to also see all the good that was done in your groups name firsthand before I wanted to extend my services to assist you. If that makes any sense.”(( Caius Dragelion ))

It seemed that the last of her words had taken Yuffie a few minutes to at least come up with a response toward. Which was something that she had not expected. Yet it was interesting for her. Listening to the way that Yuffie explained that the big baddy was beaten by her kicking their butt made her smile and shake her head. Listening through it all as Yuffie continued along. Explaining how she had a group of people that beat the big bad that had threatened her world. Yet she has said that she had seen her bad guy here on Zephon. This made Terra’s blood run cold for a moment. A slight cold chill ran down her spine as she could not help but think that the fact Yuffie said her enemy was here could mean only one thing. That one fact made Terra shiver a little as thinking of Kefka being out there almost brought up a panic attack in her. Despite that she listened to that it seemed she had been taken at the moment of victory. Terra nodded as she waited for Yuffie to take a breath. Yet she did not speak as instead she let the air just cool off between them instead of adding to the noise before speaking up. ”I do wonder how things are back home though. So I can sympathize with wanting a few minutes longer before being brought here.”She trailed off right as Yuffie decided to continue speaking about how she would put in a good word for her with Caius. That was a name she had seen on a few posters across town and on a memorial about a “Kraken” attack. Watching her move and speak about the materia before making the fire appear. She smiled as she lifts up her own right hand and snaps her finger and a flame sprung from her hand once more. “So it grows alongside your own experience? That sounds amazing for those that are adventurers. I know that my powers grew as we travelled around our world. Yet that is because of my nature. Well that alongside the ‘Magicite’ that would give us knowledge if we carried them as we fought.” She could not help but explain things a little to Yuffie. As it was something that she enjoyed doing. “Yes he is a good man. I hope that he is doing well.” Terra could not help but respond after Laurelin gave her admiration to her friend. It truly was something good to remember those people that she had fought Kefka alongside. Though when it came for her to speak about if she was a visitor it seemed that there was not much of a hesitation as she stated that she was a visitor. How she had checked maps and other things and had found not a single thing that showed her home. Sympathizing with her on this Terra could not help but nod toward her. ”I have done the same thing. The town I was protecting is not to be found so I wander and try to help where I can.” Her words were calm and with some purpose to them. As Terra knew full well that should she find a way back to Mobliz she would take it. The children there need her there to protect all of them and keep hope up in response to the world's condition. Especially the new parents that she knew just had had their child just before she had come here to Zephon. If at the least if time ran at the same rate here then it has only been a few years. Though she still hoped that if she ever was sent back home then it would be in the same moment that she had left so that there was nothing missed. As Laurelin spoke about following the wind and listening it to as for her travels was certainly something that she sympathized with. “That honestly sounds amazing and I can enjoy that feeling. Since arriving here I have done just that to help. But I feel I am just repeating myself. Tell me about your home and I will gladly tell you about my home.” As she spoke Terra shifted her weight from one foot to the other. As despite this starting off smashingly she could not help but feel a little awkward around someone so new to her. (( Laurelin Hawthorne ))

As Caius remained quiet Terra couldn't help but feel that she had said something wrong or at least said something that might have made him recoil a little from her. Yet despite this she decided that she was not going to go anywhere and instead she was going to focus on introducing herself to Caius and possibly hearing about Celes and how she was. Though as he spoke up and introduced himself she could not help but smile as it was a much more traditional introduction and one that she was used to hearing. She even gave him a slight bow of her head in acknowledgement of his words. Listening to him speak about how Celes was on something of a vacation made her nod a little more vigorous then before. It was good to hear she was attempting to do something calming and not just work all the time. “She does deserve happiness… As for meeting her. I have not had the courage to speak with her in the several years I have been here on Zephon. I have heard of her exploits but even after what I did here in Torenstein I did not approach her. If we are to meet up then we will. There is nothing else to it after all.” Terra responded as she couldn't help but speak what was on her mind. As she would not approach Celes instead she was going to let her lead her life as she had no idea where Celes was nor if this was the same Celes that had been there at her side when her Esperkin powers slipped from her on the Falcon. With a sigh she lifted a hand and ran it through her hair to push a stray lock out of her vision in front of her right eye. As she did she spoke up. ”You asked if there is anything that I want… That is simple. I want to join the Dragonblades and help the people of this realm just as I defended the people back in my world. I have done it once and I want to do it once more.” (( Caius Dragelion ))

Terra was silently fuming at the seagull as it took off away from her. Thankfully it had not taken away anything from her as she could not help but sigh audibly once more. Thankfully it seemed that no one had seen the disastrous scene that she had just been in. Yet it went away as it seemed that someone had seen the scene as she heard footfalls approach and then a voice echo out toward her. Well mostly the voice was toward the bird who had taken off toward the seed that the man had tossed off the side and into the water. Turning Terra could not help but tighten up her face as she patted her head and smiled toward Caius. “No… that horrible beast did not make off with anything. Usually I have no issues with the bird but I guess the sun must of hit my barrette just right and it caught his fancy.” Speaking up with her calm demeanor she took a moment to look over the man. It seemed he was another of those military types and yet there was something else. It was as if she had seen his face before on some of the boards around town. What was it that he could of been and then it hit her. “I thought I recognized you. You are on those posters for the man who saved the city from the Kraken. I think they said you are Caius Dragelion on the posters. You must be the leader that Yuffie spoke about then that means you….” Terra’s train of thought dribbled away as she realized just who this man was and how it seemed that once more she was close to someone that knew Celes here on Zephon. She knew that there was little she could do if she wanted to keep doing good around the planet; she would eventually run into her friend and have to speak with her. Taking a few moments to let silence sink in between them she allowed her smile to return to her face before giving him a slight bow as she spoke. “Where are my manners to another hero of Torenstein. I am Terra Branford. It is a pleasure to meet in person one of the leaders of the Dragonblades. Yuffie spoke quite fondly about you and your organization.” Her composure came back rather quickly as she spoke to Caius. Her mannerisms of moving her hands and arms settled as she did not do anything out of the ordinary for herself. Though as she let her mind calm down she decided to just speak out one more thing before letting Caius speak out anything else. ”Is Celes doing well? I do hope that she has found a purpose here in helping others. She deserves to be happy and not held back to what all happened to us.” (( Caius Dragelion ))
