The Dragonblades
Since departing from Serah and Claire last, Caius had gone back to Torensten in order to handle paperwork for their time in Provo, and to continue helping Torensten rebuild after the Kraken attack. Torensten was more than a little bit used to being attacked, but the Kraken was far more devastating than anything that had hit it since the dragons had descended from the skies and laid waste to the city all those years ago. But now Torensten was starting to see something resembling normalcy again, at least until the next time it was attacked. Celes had confessed to needing a break in order to find herself and her... Center, so to speak. While it was uncler just what was driving her, Caius was happy to help in what ways he could in order to ensure things would be in order so Celes could take her break and find her happiness. Training an intern when it came to the paperwork, Caius had found himself staying in Torensten most of the time, only taking small trips to Provo here and there for work. Since then, Caius had helped with the paperwork best he could while training Tomoe, finding out the hard way that Celes had... Well, a natural talent for management, to say the least. It took the both of them combined to get anywhere near the amount of work that Celes had been doing on her own.
So he had done his best. Training Tomoe to help ease the load, and had sent a letter suggesting that perhaps a second should be brought in if they were to get back to a regular workload while allowing Celes and Caius more flexibility to leave for work and otherwise as needed. But this wasn't the only thing Caius had found himself dealing with in the time since. Two young upstarts had joined the guild, named Nick and Yuffie. Nick was woefully inexperienced, while Yuffie was... Well, a well-intentioned headache and a problem just waiting to happen, to say the least. His facial hair had only just started to grow back!
Then there was Maria. Celes' doppelganger. That had been... Interesting, and he knew he was likely going to have to keep an eye on her until Celes returned to try and preserve the General's good name. Once she came back, he was sure she would figure out a more permanent way to handle that, but for now, that was his job.
Then there were the reports he was getting about the Original Sin. They were small notes, little things, but they all seemed interconnected... They were corresponding for something. But what?
Between this and taking over Celes' job to train the recruits, Caius had been busy to say the least. But he still had another job to do. He had been manning the front desk when one of the city guards would burst into the Rest. Apparently a large monster had destroyed a village just west of here, and the guards that had been sent to stop it had been pinned down. Apparently it was more than they had expected. As it would take time to marshal backup, Caius had been asked to help out before things could get even worse.
Suiting up, Caius had quickly made his way out towards the city gates. Wanting to get there before lives could be lost, his hurry made him reckless. And unfortunately, it kept him from being able to stop his accidentally nearly mowing over the poor woman in pink that had been in his path.
Instincts kicked in when he felt one foot leave the ground when it shouldn't. Reaching over, Caius would grab the woman's hands and stomp his foot back down to try and rebalance them both.
"I am so sorry, miss. I-" he had begun to apologize when he recognized her face. It was Serah! Right, she and Claire had moved here while Claire was studying at the university. It wasn't long ago that he had seen miss Claire herself, causing untold havoc...
"Serah, hi. I'm sorry, I-" he stammered, trying to best explain things in his hasty panic. "I'm sorry for running into you, I have to go, a monster's attacking a village near here and I have to get to work."
Being a teacher in Torensten's University wasn’t all that different from she was one in New Bodum, aside from the subject she taught being different. Serah taught the general application of magic, how to safely use it, whether by defending one self or just using it in daily life. It was rather fulfilling if she was being honest, being able to help young minds in this way. Their magic may come from different sources, but how it was applied wasn’t different at all! What was difficult for her was her dear little sister. Claire had kept her promise… in *her* class. But as Serah had expected she found a loophole easily, in that instead she had a tendency to cause havoc everywhere else BUT her classroom. During and at times after school as well. To the point her fellow teachers had asked why she couldn't rein her little sister in,an answer Serah could only give as it being ‘complicated’
Still for all the havoc she was causing Serah was proud of her. Despite her trickery she was doing very well in her classes. She was a very bright girl, which also confused the other teachers. It was not often they had a student that could cause so much chaos, and then also pass their class.
Truly Claire was an enigma to them, but to Serah she was just that:Claire
Today had been another day where she had caused such chaos, leaving Serah in the position of thinking on how to best address things with her sister once she got home. Caius was in a hurry and Serah was distracted, it didn’t make for a good combination as Serah was knocked back!
”Whoah!”
Lucky for her Caius was quick to prevent her fall to the ground, and she was able to balance herself soon after. After making sure she hadn’t ruined her teaching garb somehow she gave a giggle as Caius at first didn’t recognise her. Though once he had she simply shook her head in response to his apologies.
”It’s fine Caius, I’m sure it wasn’t intentional, but what's got you in such a hurry?”
Once Caius had explained things, Serah’s expression quickly changed from one of playfulness to one of determination, despite Caius saying he had to go, and without him so much as asking her to do so, Serah already knew what she was going to do.
”Wait just a moment”
She very quickly ran into a nearby vendor, one who had helped them on a few occasions since they arrived here. Going here was two fold. She needed to get a bow for what she intended, as Claire currently had Mog with her. The other was that, because this vendor knew both her and Claire she had asked asked him to send one of his workers to tell Claire she was going to be late due to this situation.
Why had he agreed to that? Well for Serah she thought he was simply a nice person, which he was, but the truth was a bit deeper.
Claire could manipulate people through her trickery, her words. Her trickery was intentional.
Serah’s ‘manipulation’ however was something she didn’t even intend to do, or notice that she did. But the girl's general sweetness and kind nature had its own way of compelling people to do what she needed….
Bow strown over her back she quickly ran back out of the store and in fact, if Caius had still been waiting on standby as well, she would wave back as she did so.
”Come on Caius we have to stop that thing! You can give me the details on the way!”
Yes Caius hadn’t even asked her to do so and she jumped at putting herself in danger in order to protect people who were defenseless.

The Dragonblades
Caius had only intended on ensuring Serah’s welfare before running off to go and stop the monster, but Serah had other ideas. She quickly ran off, telling him to wait. "Serah, I can't-" Caius would object, but she was already gone. While Serah was sweet-talking the vendor into helping her, Caius was tempted to just bolt. But he knew it would be wrong. Still, he had no interest in just standing there doing nothing, so he took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He could sense them somewhere around here, likely hunting for game... Vordun scarcely left the vicinity of where they knew Caius was. The furthest they went was the homestead when Caius was in town, or for the exception of if Caius purposely left Vordun behind for an assignment.
There. There he was. Just in the right range.
Just as Serah hoisted up the bow, Caius had just finished loading something into his gunblade and had promptly held it up into the air. When he fired, a blue light flare would shoot upwards. It carried a special signature that Vordun specifically would be able to see and hear from incredibly far away. When Serah approached, making it clear she was going as well though, it was clear that Caius wasn't going to be able to object. He knew the stubborn streak in her face very well. It reminded him of Celes. And there was not much changing Celes' mind. He doubted he could do the same for Serah. And he didn't have time to argue with her.
"Alright. But I need to get there quickly, so I'll be flying" Caius brought up as he quickly began racing for the entrance again. "You can either come with us, or use your chocobo and catch up to us. Your choice, but I can't wait for you."
As if on cue, a roar would echo through the skies as an azure-scaled dragon would descend in front of them. While only a fair bit bigger than a horse, Vordun was no less the sight. Caius scratched behind Vordun's ears a moment as the dragon moved their head down to allow Caius to climb aboard. Once he was seated, Caius held out a hand to Serah.

I'm not an army of one
She came back to Caius shooting a signal into the sky, Sarah wasn’t sure who he was getting the attention of for sure, though she assumed it would either be one of the members of his group, or more likely given his hurry, a method of getting him there quicker. Caius mentioned flying. Though she wasn't sure how he would do so. None of the allies she could bring forth form her crystals were capable of flight, not even Bennu. Well, he could glide, but gliding and actual flying were two completely different things Did Caius' group have a some mode of transportation then? A machine that served the purpose?
Why not try to tame a flying beast on her end you might ask? The answer to that was simple, and only took one word:Claire.
Caius thankfully didn’t try to stop her from coming along, not that she would have listened to such attempts to begin with after all, people needed help right now! He was all business, and as such came off slightly rude, but no more than what reminded her of Lighting before going off on one of her tasks while they were growing up. She didn’t expect gentlemanly tones right now, more so with the rush he was already in to begin with. He was as concerned about the people’s state as she was she was sure. She didn’t mean to hold him up, but she also knew if this was a dangerous monster, it could be difficult to handle alone while also protecting people, even as experienced as he was. And she was concerned about them to, sure she was a teacher now, but that didn’t mean she couldn't handle herself in a fight to!
”Then calling Bennu is time we don’t have to wait, If it’s no trouble i’ll just ride with you, it's the quicker route”
She kept pace with Caius as he ran towards the entrance with him her adventures had served well in helping her grow quick on her feet. Though she did on this occasion at least wish she hadn’t left her sister’s former blade back at home, but this bow should be able to handle this encounter at least. Not like they would be facing a Long Gui after all right? …..well that wasn’t a fair compression, even the most well built weapons were likely to snap from trying to take that thing down.
Caius’ dragon, despite not being a comparable size (what even could be though?) was no less a sight to behold to her. So then this was Caius' companion then? It was majestic! Serah thought he was beautiful creature herself, his scales shined rather nicely in the sun to. If they weren't in a hurry she’d have taken the time to admire him, but as things were they needed to get to their destination fast so instead s offered a simple:
”Thank you”
(That had not however, stopped the very obvious shining in her eyes as she marveled at him in that moment, Dragons were AWESOME!)
The thank you had been directed to both Caius and his ally before taking the man's hand to help her up, and getting herself situated behind Caius. She surprisingly wasn’t to spooked at the prospect of racing through the skies, but then having a fiance who was welcome to racing throught he streets with her on his back had that kind of effect.
”This... is awesome.... Ready!”
She would inform Caius, so he could be on his way, she was just as determined to get there quickly after all. On the way however, she thought it best to keep herself informed, even as the wind raced through her hair.
”So just so I know, do you have any idea what we're going to be dealing with? Knowing the situation ahead of time makes it easier to plan for, my sister taught me that”
She paused a moment, hoping Caius was to focused on the situation at hand to worry about the implication that a teenager had taught her older sister such a thing.
….It was to complicated an explanation to get into right now.

The Dragonblades
She agreed to fly with him, and he nodded his head as he helped her aboard. Caius was normally more polite than this, but as Serah was aware, he wasn't exactly in any position to stop for gentlemanly conduct right now. Lives were at risk and time was of the essence. He could be as polite and gentlemanly as she wanted later. Now just wasn't the time. Though he couldn't help the slightest smile at Serah's reaction to Vordun. At least she wasn't scared of him, but considering she was a beast tamer herself, he doubted she would be. Still, he had made it clear that he was getting there aboard Vordun no matter what given the urgency of the situation. Even if she was scared of him, he was sticking to what was needed in these circumstances.
As Serah came aboard and claimed she was ready though, Caius would turn around and look her in the face before motioning towards the saddle. Asking her for permission to get her secured, he would either work very quickly to get her secured down, or instruct her on how to do so. He would also note where the release was, for when they had to dismount. Caius then turned again and secured himself very quickly, and Vordun took off without another moment's notice.
"Sounds like a large beast. Dangerous, if it's capable of laying waste to a village and pinning down any soldiers who came after it" Caius answered when Serah asked for information. He heard the bit about her sister teaching her things, but it didn't make any sense. Claire taught her this stuff?
"Your little sister?" he inquired quickly, but prodded no further for the moment as they would quickly come to their destination. Down below was a massive behemoth who had just destroyed a house while its occupants ran for their lives. Caius was able to glimpse some armored men below, unsure of whether they were alive or not but they seemed to be pinned below debris.
"Ok, Serah. I'm going to drop you off quickly and then I'm going to distract it and lead it away. I need you to rescue the soldiers and ensure that nobody is in the line of fire. Once you've done that, you can rejoin me in the fight" he instructed as Vordun flew low, and he would motion for her to release her restraints. Changing the loadout on his gunblade, Caius would motion for Vordun to make the first move.
And so he did.
Vordun would launch a fireball at the Behemoth's face, quickly catching its attention. The beast loosed a roar as it began to charge their way.

I'm not an army of one
Though she normally would have asked how to do it the naturally curious girl she was, Serah would let Caius lock her in, all the better for them to get to their destination quickly, Somehow she had expected to simply ride on the dragon’s back, but supposed, given that this was the man's partner it made sense he’d be prepared with things like this. She couldn't help but wonder if that had always been the case, or if there had been an incident that got Caius to add one on after the fact. Maybe she’d ask when they weren't so busy! Once she was secure she would listen to the man describe what he knew about the situation. What they were going after wasn’t your average foe, but then that made sense-someone convenally stronger like Caius wouldn't have been needed if the situation could be handled by your average security force.
”If it’s that dangerous I’m glad I came. Monsters like that are dangerous to fight alone. Well… but I’m sure you know that, and i’m not trying to fault you or anything”
If anything it was exactly what her fiance, or heck even what she would have done if she knew people were in danger. She dreaded the idea of people getting hurt, more so in a world like the one they found themselves in, there was no telling what would happen.
Besides… it was the right thing to do wasn’t it? For her, the best time when people were happy, that time was decidedly not when a giant creature was tearing down your house. Unfortunately for her though focus wasn’t destined to stay fully on there goal even with the hurry they were in, because Caius had in fact caught on to her little slip up. Which in turn made the determined Serah a bit embarrassed despite the situation. Rubbing the back of her head she tried to think of some way she could explain things away, or at least explain it quick enough before they got to their target. Sadly neither was possible, there was just no way she could explain enough in time, and as she had been certified the worst liar in the world without someone helping her quite a FEW times Caius was bound to see through it if she attempted a falsehood. So instead she sighed shaking her head.
”Yes…? I mean no… I mean…. It’ll take too long to explain, It’s… a complicated matter. Well, I’ll explain assuming my dear ‘little’ sister doesn’t manage some way to beat me to the punch”
Surely there was no way it could occur, and yet… this was Claire she was talking about, she’d find away. Caius seemed to agree as he made no attempt to prod her futher on the matter, at least for now. Mostly because they were quickly coming up to the place that was in danger. As they flew above the area she caught sight of what they had come here to fight.
It was a Behemoth, one of those hulking beasts. In her adventures with Noel she had dealt with a few of the things, so she knew full well. These things were capable of taking down even experienced, powerful fighters if they were careless.
It made her all the more glad she had insisted on coming, she’d have felt horrible if something had happened to her new friend when she could have helped.
Worse was, if she was remembering right this wasn’t a normal breed. If it was the same type as what she had run into before it was a stand out among its kind, a ‘king’
And that made it all the more important they were coordinated, so it could be taken down as soon as possible. For the safety of everyone involved. Serah worked best with a plan, and that was exactly what Caius had given her. She would ensure the safety of the soldiers that had fallen facing this beast, along with making sure no one else could get hurt. Afterwards she would back Caius up.. And they would end this.
”Right! Be safe till I get to you!”
As Caius’ ally flew low Serah did as asked, releasing her restraints and with a practiced flip landed on the ground below. What followed, both Caius’ words and his partner’s fireball were plenty to signal to Serah to get moving, and that was just what she did. First was the matter of the trapped guards. Serah herself wasn’t overly strong in the physical department, and the use of magic risked their safety. She DID have a solution to that issue though. And it came in the form of a little machine aid! Taking one of her crystals from her her satchel, it’s brilliance shined as the uncreativly named Lancer Rocket appeared in a flash of light.
”Ok Rocket! Lift this stuff off of these guys!”
Receiving its orders the bulky machine proceeded to do just, piece by piece taking what kept the soldiers pinned down, as it did so Serah would check each of the soldiers wounds, healing each with her Cure magic as needed. Once done they attempted to thank her for her work, but Serah simply smiled shaking her head.
”It’s no problem! Don’t feel bad, ok? That kind of monster is of the nastiest sort. But… I do need your help to find any stragglers to get everyone to safety, then me and my friend are going to show the thing whose boss!”
The soldiers gave determined nods, eager to make up for their earlier failure. WIth their direction it was much easier to find those that remained in the line of sight, even more so with her using the combined force of Rocket and her red chocobo, Bennu to get everyone to safety. It took a bit to do so, with her occasionally looking back to Caius’ fight, hoping he and his dragon were able able were not coming to too much harm in the process. Eventually she did the last person away, the last solder as well, promising they would handle while they kept the people safe. A very Snow like:
”We’ve got this!”
Proceeded her, complete with a bright smile, before turning back to the field of battle with a determined look as she made her way atop Bennu’s back to charge it. She readied magic in her hand as she raced forward on his back, a large ball of light esk magic, Ruinga. She called to her robotic ally as she readied her shot:
”Rocket!”
Understanding the command the robot unleashed its Feral link, the barrage of thunder energized blasts called ‘Orbital Battery’ along the beast's body, while Serah herself aimed her magic to fire right in the big lug's face!
”Right I’m back, let's do this!”
She was a determined girl, set on ending this creature's rampage, she had her bow notched now, spells to use on her mind to bring it down to its knees!

The Dragonblades
“Your sister’s future self, I figure” Caius answered far too calmly considering just what was being insinuated. Yes indeed, it seemed that Claire had told him enough. He didn’t really understand all this “future” stuff, but it worked well enough with his own previous theories that he could believe it and piece together what Serah was saying from there. Still, Claire hadn’t really gotten into the fact that the future Claire was older than Serah. Nor the fact that in her own timeline, Claire was the older sister. They had yet to mention that fact to Caius, and if they did, he hadn’t remembered at this time.
This behemoth… It was bigger than any that he had faced before. He had gone through a fair few of them at this point, but this thing? It was massive. No wonder the guards were pinned down, a normal behemoth would do that. But this one was another matter entirely. It couldn’t be allowed to get any closer to the capital city. It would cause untold calamity if it did. And Caius did not want a repeat of the Kraken incident anytime soon.
Once Serah was unhooked and dismounted, Caius would instruct Vordun to move up before unhooking himself as well. He needed to lead them away from the village so he could fight freely. Caius drew his gun-dagger and turned around atop Vordun to fire at the beast's face. He knew that with its scaly armor, it wouldn't do much damage. But it would keep its attention firmly transfixed on them. The beast would launch a massive fireball bigger than the two of them put together though, and Caius would be forced to grab the harness of the saddle to keep himself atop as Vordun would fly low to dodge it. Once they had made a considerable amount of distance to where Serah had ample time to save the civilians, Caius would leap off Vordun's back as his gunblade appeared in his free hand.
"Let's go."
Tossing the dagger forwards, Caius would watch as the beast would launch another fireball at him. Just as it was about to engulf Caius, he would suddenly disappear, re-forming where the dagger was and catching it before he would land on the beast's mane. Vordun would turn and launch a fireball at the behemoth's face as Caius would begin a volley of strikes with his gunblade, digging the dagger into its scales to keep him from falling off.
Serah meanwhile, would return on a strange looking contraption. But Caius wasn't going to complain. Different spells would hit the creature dead on, with it having a hard time defending against both thunder and fire magic, while also dealing with Caius slashing at it. But it wasn't going down so easily. Loosing a roar in rage, the Behemoth would launch a fiery breath that would continue in duration for some time. The flames were massive, and began to overtake the grass below the feet of Serah's companions just as much as the flames themselves tried to engulf the group. Caius was forced to let go and began to fall before promptly warping back onto Vordun.

I'm not an army of one
Serah blinked, well she had expected Claire to beat her to the explanation, but not QUITE so fast as all that, or for Caius to take it so casually. It made her feel a bit foolish to have even made a big deal out of it. She sighed, this would at least mean the shorter version was viable, a quick line before they got into the heat of things.
”That’s right.. Claire used to …. Well, that’s probably not the best wording, simply, before whatever game this world plays kicked in, she was my older, much grumpier sister, but here… she's in her younger form, with a chance at life she didn’t have before, because of me”
This monster though, was the more important thing right now. Stopping it, and preventing it from bringing disaster to an already recovering city. The people in that city, and the city itself were not responsible for the things that happened to her. They deserved to live, to enjoy their lives just as much as Claire did. This city where the three of them had made their home… she would not let it fall! Besides that…. Caius had helped her sister, quite a bit. She was going to return that favor now, by supporting him here.
Speaking of the man was a sight to behold in combat, even more so with his dragon supporting him. Well they were similar in that way she supposed, both relying on beastial allies to help them in combat. Well, Serah had one mechanical one, but still!
This beast though, was just as dangerous as she remembered. The flames spread, but Bennu and Serah backed away, Rocket? It hulked itself down in front of them, fulfilling its main role, the guard, as an Element Guard Formed around them. She had some worry about Caius not being close enough for it to affect him but… she doubted this thing was going to let them get that close, and besides it was just asking for trouble to be grouped in one spot against a Behemoth. The reduced power of the flames would allow them to gain ground however. Serah dismissed Bennu at this point, he was a strong Chocobo of course, but against something like this beast the last thing he wanted was him getting manhandled. So as Bennu returned to his crystal and a slightly more charred Rocket rose back up she began to think of ways to stop this thing before it could hurt anyone else. She had an ace in the whole of course, but it wasn’t like it was an attack she could just release on a whim, it also took a lot out of her to do so. Using it this soon might result in her being too open if it’s not enough to take it down. No, perhaps if she could find a strong opening but for now…
”Rocket distract it!”
So the mech went about its duty, flying in a direction away from Caius and Serah, and of course not in the direction of the town. In the processi it began pelting the beast with small blasts of energy, not in an effort to hurt it overall, but to Provoke it instead. Keeping its attention from Serah and Caius. While it did so Serah herself took a breath, then began moving forward, the distraction would allow her to cover ground and focus her magic. Speaking of, this time she had an idea of what to do, With Rocket distracting it, if they could hold it down in one spot, pelting it with attacks would be far easier. So that was what she planned to do. Focusing her magic she first unleashed Aeroga causing a powerful wind to form around the Behemoth, trying to force it to it’s center and keep it there, after as arrows wearn’t going to do while those winds raged she plied a Thundaga, Symbolic throwing her hands down and causing a powerful bolt of lighting to strike at the beast from above the wind!
If there was something she was good at, it was magic. She didn’t have to get up close and personal to give this thing a wallop!

The Dragonblades
Caius wasn't able to reap the benefits of Elemental Guard on account of Vordun flying up in order to take the Behemoth's attention away from Serah. But it seemed Serah had the same idea as her robotic pet would begin to pelt the Behemoth with attacks. While confused at first, the beast would choose what was currently attacking it and launch another flamethrower of a Fire Breath at Rocket. Serah's Aeroga would hold the Behemoth in place, but it wouldn't hold for very long. It did however, douse some of the fires that had begun to engulf the battlefield on account of the grasses being set on fire. While the Aeroga wouldn't hold it for long, it did hold it long enough for it to be hit by Serah's Thundaga spell.
Caius couldn't help but be impressed at the sight. This girl had access to some seriously powerful magic, didn't she? The wind only seemed to amplify the lightning as the beast was struck and it would reel in pain. Caius took the initiative from there, tossing one of his daggers one way and another the other. Suddenly, he and Vordun would both warp in tandem, re-appearing on different sides of the behemoth.
Yep. The dragon could warp.
As of late, Vordun had begun to exhibit signs of the Power of Kings. Caius had become able to sense the dragon's presence to some extent, and it was as though the wyrm possessed some sort of adaptability that made it capable of using Caius' own abilities as a sort of conduit. Vordun caught the dagger in its mouth as Caius would grab the other dagger, and once again in tandem the two would attack.
"FIRAGA!"
Just as the beast began to break out of the Aeroga, Caius would loose a great bellow as he and Vordun would use fire magic from different sides upon the beast. The fires would hit the Aeroga, turning it into a great fiery tornado that engulfed the beast. It was only for the few moments longer before the beast would disperse the magic, but it was able to do its share of damage.
Caius would use a quick Blizzard to put out the fires on the ground before, but it would come at a cost as the beast would suddenly lash out with a claw and hit Caius in the air, sending the mercenary flying. Realizing their plight, Vordun would stop all attempts to attack and go after Caius at full speed as the mercenary careened full force towards the ground.
Vordun would arrive at the last moment, catching Caius with its body before he could hit the ground, the two of them skidding across the dirt in turn.

I'm not an army of one
Caius could teleport
….
His dragon could teleport! That was amazing! She couldn't help but take a moment to marvel at the teamwork they displayed. They were a true unit in combat, able to coordinate their attacks in what seemed to her at least to be a perfect union. Not only that but, it seemed Caius had experience working as a team in general as well, with how he added his flame to her air. But that did make sense, he helped lead his own group after all… a leader wasn’t too effective if he couldn't work with his teammates! It did however give her greater confidence that they would be able to handle this thing. She received a shock however when in the course of trying to douse the flames her ally was knocked back with a fierce blow from the beast. In worry she would call after him as she flew back across the area.
”Caius!”
She began to move after him, but stopped when his partner caught him, however they were both now, in what appeared to her a vulnerable state compared to the beast. She needed to push it back, or at least give Caius an opening to make a move. She wanted it to be what ended but… She would be fine if it gave Caius time to recover. She took a deep breath, ready to put her plan into action.
”Rocket, block it off!”
Whether the direction it chose was towards her, or to take advantage of the seemingly prone Caius, the machine would block its path, slamming into it and blocking it’s way forward with Steelward It was a durable thing, but even it was pushing its limits against a foe of this power and size, which meant Serah had to get this done before it gave out. Another deep breath as she drew her string back, this time however she was not notching an arrow, but her magic. Her strongest spell began to weave itself as Rocket did its best to hold the beast back, a feat harder and harder by the second. What would appear as light began to dance along the bow, energy pulling itself more and more as time went on, forming into a large, incredibly large arrow of light ready to be fired. Curiously however, at least to onlookers this arrow was not aimed at the beast directly, but at the sky above it. But that was how this attack worked best, how it got the most mileage. Her intent was to rain force upon the beast, in an attempt to bring it to its knees or, if nothing else at least let Caius make a move.
By this point Rocket was likely to be being pushed back to, if not outright knocked aside all together, if it was brought down it would return to its crystal. But she continued her focus none the less.
Almost there…
Almost..
Almost…
”Aaaaaah!"
The large arrow was let lost at the sky above the Behomoth and, as if making its mark formed a pool of white magical energy above it. From this pool would rain countless white magical arrows upon the beast, her own storm of if you would back to back in a steady fall, likely doubling as entrapment for the beast as the attack pelted it. The magical arrows would be sharp, painful to it… and together would be quite painful if allowed to connect, while also being difficult to avoid given its size.
The con was that it took a lot out of her, causing the woman to give a deep breath, resting on her knee. It wasn't that she could no longer fight, but rallying that forth drained her, though it would be worth it she believed, she hoped it was enough.
