The world of Zephon is home to many dangers, and there are many people that are in need of aid. Many people will hire mercenaries to handle jobs they cannot do themselves or be harmed, such as taking out monsters terrorizing a settlement, or providing protection for a party needing to travel in order to peddle their goods. But with how dangerous Zephon is, the fact is that not every challenge can be accomplished alone. Ordinarily, with these kinds of intentions you would think that a peacekeeping force of sorts would be formed. But people also need to be able to make a living, even those fighting for the safety of the land and it's people. They need somewhere to rest their heads after work. They need resources and equipment to be able to keep doing their jobs.

Thus enters the Dragonblades. A brotherhood of honorable adventurers and mercenaries seeking to do good but also seeking to earn a living so they can continue to do so.

The Dragonblades are meant to be an honorable mercenary group. Members of the group may take what jobs they wish, whether by notice board, delegation or given by independent party. These jobs may constitute anything from escort missions, to monster hunts, to healing jobs, to checking out ancient ruins. The only limitation is that the Dragonblades do not take jobs of a shady nature, or ones that would harm the reputation of the Dragonblades. The group does not seek to do harm, and also operate under the understanding that their reputation being harmed will hurt business for everyone in the group and everyone's best interests must be looked out for. The better the reputation the faction forges, the better off everyone is.

If you are unsure if a job you wish to take qualifies, you are encouraged to consult your fellow faction members. Caius can be used as an IC medium if the ruling needs to be handled as such.

- After every job, those that participated will each take a cut of the payout. The remainder will be drawn into a pool for the group as a whole. This pool will be drawn from to provide supplies for members when they take jobs, and may be drawn from in emergencies if found to be necessary. This will ensure a better chance of success for all members of the Dragonblades, and potentially provide a better chance for those that are less financially fortunate (such as younger, less experienced warriors in particular who need the experience to grow and develop so they may better contribute).

- As the faction grows and develops, as more members join, improve and take higher paying jobs, the pool will grow bigger. As the pool grows, better equipment and curatives can be supplied for jobs across the faction.

While characters can be involved in threads that are ICly considered jobs (See Job History for examples) at times members, including leaders, may set up Open Threads containing jobs that are catered to the Dragonblades members. Members are encouraged to join them if they are looking for more threads.

The Wyvern's Rest - A small building in a row of houses with a courtyard at the back. Located in Torensten, presently used by Caius and Celes as the group's center of operations.
