"Wow... that's pretty informative! It may not be a lot of information, but it certainly gave me a somewhat basic idea of how electricity is made. I'll have to definitely get a book on this source of energy called Electricity so I can learn more about it. Movement energy into heat energy, and that becomes electricity... my oh my! So many thing's I have to learn about, but yet its so exciting! Thank you for this information regardless," said Nick as he heard S.T.A.C.E.E do her best to explain to him how electricity was produced. This all was very intriguing to him, but yet he was curious to learn more about it.
In his original home, there was no such thing as electricity. At least from what he could remember. For lighting up areas, people would usually use torches that were placed on walls or candles in a window. He was unaware if there were other sources of energy being produced at the time in the world he came from. This world was one big mystery to him, but he wouldn't mind taking time to learn about it.

Nick Zixian made his way out of the Dragonblades Guild main building, wanting to try and find the University in Torensten that was mentioned by Caius so that he could learn more spells to become a better Red Mage since he only had two spells: Protect and Fire. He would say to himself "Alright... let's see if I can't find that university." as he began to look around.
The first place he would search out would be the Marketplace area, wondering if it was anywhere near there. He made sure to carefully observe every spot so that he wasn't missing any detail. The most important thing he had to find was a sign of sorts that could point him to the university. It could be a literal sign-post that points in the direction of where the school is located, or maybe a flag hanging out in the open. But alas, he wasn't sure if he could find it and was simply confused.
The young teenager said to himself "Oh dear... this isn't going to be an easy search is it? I can't find the mentioned university anywhere. I appear to be lost. Might as well keep looking," as he kept looking around for the University.

When Nick heard that The Burning Torch Lady ran on rechargeable power cells, which stored something called Electricity. To him, this source of energy was simply unheard of. Yet... it sounded amazing. He would say in response "Power cells with electricity stored inside?! Wow... I've never heard of such a power source, but it sounds amazing I bet!" He was certainly excited and eager to learn more about this source of energy since he hadn't ever heard of it in his original home world. He took a deep breath so he could keep himself calm, and would then go ahead and ask his next question.
"Another question if I may? How do people get this source of power called Electricity? I've never heard of it back in my original home world, and I am eager to learn more about it," He would ask S.T.A.C.E.E, waiting eagerly for her answer about the power source. There seemed to be sparkles in his eyes, showing excitement inside of him. He wasn't as confused as he was previously more than a few minutes ago.

Nick Zixian would watch as The Burning Torch Lady continued to speak to Caius, referring to S.T.A.C.E.E as that for the time being since. He had some new thoughts in his mind: "Is this lady powered by a magical power of a sorts? What's inside of her that makes up the entirety of their burning torch? My goodness so many questions... I don't know if I'll have answers to all of them. So confusing... gah! I think I'll at least ask the basic question of what she's powered by, then maybe everything will become clear." While he didn't hear everything in the conversation they were both having due to being distracted by his deep thinking, he did hear a slight mention that the lady was ported to the Sonoran University Home Server upon entering this world, and something called a Program. This just confused him more.
These would be thoughts for later, all he needed to do is ask one basic question. That was his focus. He would take a deep breath, and when The Burning Torch Lady looked over at him. He would step forward and ask "Excuse me... pardon the interruption. I've got one important question: How are you powered? It is like Mana or some other magical form of energy?" He hoped to get a decently get a good answer out of this one, doing his best to try and not look so confused, even though he still was. He would wipe some sweat from his forehead as he looked at the projection of the lady itself. Awaiting an answer.
He also hoped that this interruption wouldn't upset Caius in anyway, it was either get an answer from the lady or be stuck thinking about the logistics of how she appeared to them for the rest of the entire day.

Nick would say "A burning torch? Alrighty then... It's a pleasure to meet you as well." even though he was still just as confused. The AI was certainly very odd to him indeed. A person being able to project themselves without a body still confuzzled him in a way. While he was given answers, he still has more questions. But at least he knows what a therapist was: Someone to talk about their problems to. Which means he could likely talk to them about the previous events that lead him to this guild. As he was about to ask another question, he felt someone hand on his shoulder and used his peripherals to see that it was Caius, who then told him to stand down.
"Alright, I'll just watch from the side..." said the young red-mage as he stood to the right and proceeded to watch the conversation between the burning torch lady and Caius, the co-leader of the guild. He would think to himself while watching 'To not have a body but yet have the ability to project thyself to someone. Does that require the use of your own soul, or some kind of ancient magic. Oh dear... this advanced technology is going take quite a while for me to understand. It's going to wrack my brain for a bit.'
For the time being while Nick watched the conversation, he would mostly be in idle thought, thinking about the magical logistics of being able to project thyself with out a body. Still just as confused as he was mere minutes ago. While the Burning Torch Lady was rather nice, it would take a while to completely understand how she was able to take form without the use of some kind of magic or anything similar to such. The only advanced technology he has technically seen in his world was the use of airships. Nothing else to it.

Nick would see the waitress come by and place a bowl of soup right in front of him, saying in reply "Thank you so much." as he picked up his spoon gently and ate a small spoonful of it. He would hear here mention how secretive her people were and how rare it was that they would travel beyond the borders of Cornelia. It was rather interesting to him.
When he heard Larelin mention there was nothing wrong with having a quiet life, he nodded in agreement as he said "Aye, there is indeed nothing wrong with it. A quiet life is usually a simple life." He would continue to listen to what she would have to say. He was certainly enjoying this conversation with her as he gently ate another spoonful of soup. The soup itself was rather satisfying, it wasn't too bad.
Upon being asked about what spells he knew so far, the young teenage red-mage in training replied with, "Spells? I know only two spells so far: Fire and Protect. Those were the only spells I was taught before my mother's demise. Never got any further in my studies after that. But I still vow to become a good Red Mage." She then mentioned that she couldn't lend him a hand if he was more inclined to White Magic. Honestly, he didn't mind learning both Black and White magic since his mother had told him in the past a Red Mage works with those two types of magic and that a Red Mage who is a master at their craft could cast some very powerful spells if they practice enough.
Then upon her mentioning a place called Torensten, he was rather curious about that location and asked "Torensten? What is that place?" as he took another spoonful of his soup.

Nick Zixian would be making his way from the spare bedroom that he had, and down to the main area. He was thinking about going out and practicing his spells outside, maybe even checking out the university in this port-side city. As he was about to head out the door, he saw a box that was dropped off. He would say to himself "A parcel? I wonder who its for..."
The young teenager would curiously peruse the entire parcel and saw that it was for the Dragonblades Guild. He thought about leaving it for someone else to open, but his curiosity couldn't be resisted and gently began opening it up. Once it was fully opened, he would see some unusual sphere inside and said to himself "Eh? What's thi-" as the spherical object suddenly levitated into the air and then projected what seemed to be an image of a person, a woman with tinted blue skin. Or at least that's what he could see from the projection.
He was rather confused since he had never seen this kind of technology or anything akin to such in his original world. He was rather surprised when the woman had thanked him for opening the box, and replied with "Oh, uh... your welcome!" When the young teenager heard the woman's introduce herself, he replied back with "I am Nick Zixian, member-in-training of the Dragonblades guild. Red Mage in training." This woman known as S.T.A.C.E.E then began to explain that she was a therapist and had an offer for her services if they were interested since she mentioned that she was looking for organizations to serve. He didn't know what a therapist was, or even if he had heard of one.
Nick was unsure how to answer this, he was still mystified about how this woman was speaking to them. Was she performing a magic spell that he didn't know of that can project an image of one's self to someone, or was it some magically enchanted device? He didn't know. All he could let out was a "Uuuuh....." as he sweated a bit.

Nick would say "Fishing with your father, that does sound nice." in response to Caius's statement about doing fishing with his father when he was a young boy. After the young teenage red mage was done shaking the man's hand, he would give him a gentle smile. He would think inside of his mind, 'Well, I guess from here... things will be getting a lot better for me. Perhaps in this new world, I can make it. I just have to have faith in myself, and do my best to train!'
Now that the young red-mage in training has become a member-in-training, he had a lot to look forward to in his next adventures in this world that he has found himself in. What will become of him, and what shall happen next? There's only one way to find out.

Nick would look up at the building for a moment before entering inside with Laurelin. Upon going inside, he found the ambiance to be quite comforting to him. While it wasn't a permanent place to settle down in, at least it was a nice rest stop after all he had been through. The young teenager would sit down in a nearby seat where she was, enjoying the warm heat from the fire. It would certainly help dry off his wet robes that had little bits of sand on them.
After getting comfortable, he would notice someone handing him a menu. He decided to take it gently without a second thought as he looked at it for a moment. When asked about what he wanted, he thought about it for a moment. He was rather confused and uncertain because he didn't see anything that tickled his fancy for the most part. In the end, he would just settle for tea.
"I'll have the tea as well, please." said Nick as he put down his menu. He would then watch as the lady serving them walked away from them after getting their order down, turning back to face Laurelin. He then would hear her ask a question about his knowledge about other locations like Cornelia or Elfhiem. He would think for a moment and then responded.
"Cornelia... I have heard bits and pieces about that place from people that came to Gaia from that location. From what I've heard, it seemed to be quite the place to be. Probably bigger than my home. For Elfheim... I haven't really heard much about that place. So I don't have much information on it. While we've had visitors from other places, I've never gone beyond my home in Gaia. Always stayed in one place." He said to Laurelin as he waited for his cup of tea.

Nick said in reply "I wouldn't mind joining you for a small moment of fishing. I've seen people in my home world do fishing, but I haven't actually done it myself. So I am rather unskilled with fishing." The young teen would then listen to the description of the facility being given by Caius himself and he was very interested in hearing about it. He liked the idea of being able to lounge after a long day of doing work for the guild itself. It was a relaxing thought to him.
When he was welcomed to the guild as a member in training, he was rather happy to have a place to be and said to Caius, "It's an honor to be a member-in-training in this guild of yours! I'll certainly do my best to complete any smaller jobs that are given." When he heard the recommendation of taking up university classes while doing small jobs, he would nod in agreement. After all, he would need to find a way to pay for all the learning he would have to do. Training in the courtyard would also have to be a regular thing for him to as well due to his lack of experience of being a Red Mage, but he did have the capability to become a great Red Mage!
When he was asked if everything that was told to him was alright, Nick would say after taking a deep breath in and then slowly exhaling out of his mouth to keep himself calm, even though his excitement was still showing through "Yes, its actually fine with me. I'll be able to have a place to stay for the time being, and I don't mind having someone to help me out. I could actually use help when its needed, some jobs could be dangerous or become rather wild at any moment."
It seems that things could possibly be turning around for the young teenager, perhaps this new world won't be as confusing once he gets used to everything everything. Being in a guild is a good start to get everything going. While Nick wasn't exactly the perfect Red Mage yet, he was going to do his best to train so he could become better. This included learning more spells from the university, which he would have to find himself. But regardless of that, he was very happy right now. Nick would tilt his hat a bit, and then readjusted it as he reached out his right hand, saying "May we become good friends and allies. With our abilities, we can do a whole lot than one can do alone!"
