Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.

"Alright then, thank you...." said Nick as he lips curved into a smile after he heard Claire mention that she'll be there, for him. It certainly made him less nervous about the whole exam. When he was given his answer about what writing tool he was using, he'd give the response "Oh wow! That sounds revolutionary! I used to use Ink and Quill as a child, and this pen sounds like a great technological marvel!" He was excited about it since his original home world didn't have anything like this at all when it came to the tools of writing. Everything in his world was written with a quill dipped in ink, and that how it was done.
As Claire went on to explain how the exam worked, the young teenager made sure to listen carefully so he could understand everything. When the explanation was done, he said to her "Ah, I see. Very good to know about. Thank you for your wisdom, I shall do my best to perform well on this examination." as he saw the examiner come into the room and told him that they were ready to start to the examination. Nick said to them, "I shall follow you." as he did his best to follow the person to wherever they were going to bring him.
After a few minutes, he arrived at a room filled with big figures that seemed to stand very much still. Maybe they were practice targets? He had heard from his mother how the local guards in Gaia practiced their sword-fighting on hay figures that looked like a potential target, so he believed it was like that. He then asked the examiner "May I begin my exam?"

"That's great, I'd definitely want to be friends with you, you've helped me a great deal!" said Nick as he followed Claire to the registration desk that was inside the building. "You can wait here if you want to, I don't mind." He then watched as she went up the registration desk and announced that they had a new applicant, which was him of course. He'd gently walk up to the front of the desk for registration and said to the person who was sitting there, "I'm Nick Zixian, a pleasure to meet you!"
Following that, the young teenager was given a form to fill out. He'd look over it at a moment and grabbed a writing utensil. He stared at it for a moment before beginning to fill out the registration form. He filled it out the best way he could possibly do so. He filled out his location of birth, which was the city of Gaia in his previous world. He then listed his age, gender, name, and his two known spells: Fire and Protect. He had written stuff down on a scroll before, but never used this kind of writing tool since he was used to writing in quill and ink.
Once he had finished filling out the form to the best of his ability, he then placed it gently on the registration desk. He then turned to Claire and said "So... anything else I should know this exam, and what was that writing tool I was just using? I never used something like it until today..."
Nick's lips was quite surprised to hear that Claire's mother was also gone as well, he said in reply, "I am sorry about your mother, I am sure she was a wonderful person, and that you had good times with her. Even if those days were waning." as he walked with her to the University. As he walked, he heard her mention that his two spells that he knows should be enough to show the teachers at the University his knowledge in magical aptitude so that the instructors there can know how to best teach him further. He seemed rather pleased, but might've been a little nervous about it all.
The young red mage in-training then heard her say to him that he should use his feelings to guide him, he then said to Claire "Thank you for the advice." as he continued his journey with her to the building. As soon as they arrived at their destination, Nick stood and gazed at the building. In his mind, he was uncertain on how he would do when showing the instructors at this educational facility what he was capable of. He was actually a little nervous, but was trying to his best to hide it. But in reality, he couldn't. He then listened to Claire as she asked him if he was ready, and to not be so anxious.
"Yes.. I believe I am ready. And Claire... thank you for the advice. I know we've only met today, but I think we have the potential to become good friends." said Nick as he took a deep breath in and then slowly exhaled to keep himself calm, as best as he could. The opportunity to further his training in becoming a Red Mage was now, and this was one of the first steps in doing so.
Nick said to S.T.A.C.E.E"I am in agreement, a near death experience is rather horrifying indeed. I appreciate the offer of your services, I'll be certain to speak with you if I have anything else that I want to speak about."
He paused for a moment and realized that he had forgotten about going outside to find the University and said to the Blue Torch Lady"I should get going soon, I am thinking about finding a University here that will help expand upon my magical capabilities as a Red Mage. I'll need more than two spells to protect myself and improve my skills. It was a pleasure to meet you though. I wouldn't mind speaking with you again, even if you are different from the things I've seen. You are unique. Farewell for now." The young teen smiled as he gave a friendly goodbye wave, making his way towards the door as he exited the Dragonblades Guild building. He was on his way to find a University!

Nick would say to her as they walked together, "Ah, another person like me who has been separated from their world. I'll be honest with you, this whole new world is rather confusing. But I'll understand it one day. Also, I would indeed appreciate a tour of this University. It's definitely best to explore a place to know your way to go." as a gentle smile appeared across his face.
As he continued to walk with Claire to the University, he heard her ask him how much he actually knew spell-wise since she also mentioned there is also a sort of entrance exam. This made him a bit nervous since he didn't know what an exam was, or at least this is the first he has ever heard of one. His mother never gave him something like that before, at least during his younger years when he was being taught spells. He definitely knew only two spells, he hoped it would be decent enough to show that he had potential. He said to Claire "I only know two spells: Fire and Protect. Those were the two spells I was taught by my mother before she.... before she died." He got a bit sad as memories of his younger childhood passed through his mind of his mother teaching him those two spells, especially the moment where she gave him her staff. The same one that he held in his hands as of this moment. Even though he hasn't been in this world for too long, the death of his mother still lingered on his mind. Even though he was doing his best to move on from it, he was certain that his mother would've wanted that from him.

"Yes, its a very nice story indeed. One of the best back in my original world," said Nick after he heard the blue fire girl compliment the story that he had told. He was certainly missing out on his old world, but he needed to do his best to move forward in this mysterious world that he had found himself in.
He was then asked about how long he had been in this world. It was certainly a good question, and one he could answer easily since he hadn't been in this new world of his for very long. One could say he's a new arrival since he came to this world days ago, He responded with "I've been in this world for many days I think, and yet... there's still a lot to know about it. When I start exploring this world further, then I'll certainly be able to learn more. I got transported to this world by a falling star when I was traveling aboard an airship to another place, I'm surprised that I wasn't hurt by it, I can't imagine the pain that I'd go through."
When Nick heard S.T.A.C.E.E talk about going killer-robot on them in the middle of the night, he was rather confused because he hadn't heard about robots before, or at least not much on them. He didn't have any knowledge on them. He'd give a confused look after she gave that statement. After S.T.A.C.E.E mentioned that it was simply a joke, he said to himself "Oh okay! I thought you were being serious for a moment with that statement. I guess I never thought of that as a joke."

"A mage's dream, a metropolis brimming with magic.... it sounds so marvelous. Even if I've yet to see it..."Nick thought to himself as he heard Laurelin described Torensten to him. He seemed to be very eager to head over to this place. He nodded in agreement to her statement about not letting his potential going to waste.
When he heard about her holding off on giving him a lesson about Thunder, which sounded like another type of magic spell, he was a bit disappointed. But he smiled regardless and said "I understand, you are likely not the instructor I need. But I should be able to find one in this place that you describe in great detail. It will be quite the exploration." After all, it was likely best to learn all that in Torensten when he went there.
After Nick had finished up the rest of his soup, he heard the lady mention that she'd set up accommodations for him for the night. This included food, warm clothing, and even a trusted guide. Sounded like a great deal to him. He could use a good night's sleep after all he has been through lately. The moment Laurelin offered to go with him to Torensten, he nodded immediately and replied with "I accept your offer of guidance, I will need it in this unfamiliar world."
When the next day arrived with the rising of the sun, the young teenager headed out with Laurelin to Torensten after a hearty breakfast of Toast and Eggs. It took a few hours to reach the place, but it was worth the trip. He had arrived at his destination: Torensten. Before he'd go off to find what he was looking for, he said to the lady that escorted him "Thank you for escorting me here, may we meet again."
With that, both of them would go their separate ways, perhaps they may meet again in the future.

Nick said to S.T.A.C.E.E in a happy tone "It'd be an honor to tell you about the world I've lived in before coming here. I don't remember the entire name of the world I lived in, but it certainly is rather different from where I stand in currently. We had airships and boats for ways of traveling, those airships were quite a marvel for the time. We used torches and candles to light up our homes, its very different from how its done here. In the town of Gaia where I was raised, we had creatures known as fairies. They lived in a local spring that they called their home. "
The young teenager took a short breath before continuing to tell S.T.A.C.E.E about his world. Once he felt ready, he then said "There's also been stories that I've heard from many villagers in Gaia as a young kid, tales of a group of heroes called the Warriors of Light. They didn't remember a whole lot about them since their adventures seemingly took place a long time ago. But I heard that they were given a quest by the King of Cornelia to save his daughter from the evil hands of a man named Garland, in which they succeeded. It was quite a wonderful story!"
Nick gave himself a moment to allow the blue AI lady to absorb everything that he was telling her, since it was a great amount of information to talk about all at once. But he was certainly pleased that he was able to talk about his home world. In his mind, he was certainly missing it. But he knew he had to keep going forward.

"It seems I've guessed correctly. And yes, I'm looking to enroll at the University. You've guessed correctly at what I am currently training to be.... a Red Mage. It seems you are a unique White Mage indeed." said Nick as she heard the young lady mention that she'd mention being able to bring him right to the University that he was looking for. It seems he had finally found a way to find what he was looking for, and it was from an individual that he bumped into by mistake. Almost like it was fate. He was rather excited on the inside.
"You know where the University is?! Please... escort me to this place. I don't mind how long it will take, as long as I can find it." said the young teenager as he was about to follow her only to see her stop for a moment to introduce herself. He too had realize that he forgot his own introduction and said "Claire Farron, its a pleasure to meet you. I am Nick Zixian, I am from the city of Gaia in my original world. Also, its nice to meet you to Mog." as he gave a friendly wave to the creature that was by Claire. He wasn't sure if he had seen a creature like that, it was something new.
Now with that over with, Nick awaited with eagerness to be brought to the University that he had been seeking. It seems that his training to become a great Red Mage like his mother was about to get back on track. He only knew two spells as of far: Fire and Protect. A defense and offensive spell. Basic stuff at best. He was going to need to learn more spells if he's to ever get better. If he also had more spells, the young teenager would have a larger variety of magical attacks to use during the next time he gets into a battle. His two basic spells were only going to get him so far.

Nick Zixian kept on searching around, seeming focused on finding this University as he looked with his eyes. He said to himself "It's got to be right around here somewhere... something that could be used to identify the place. Maybe a big banner perhaps or a wooden sign maybe. There must be something.... something...."
As the young man kept walking around, his constant search for the building was actually distracting him a since it was his main focus of the day. He had to keep going, or else he would never find what he was looking for. He wanted to become a better Red Mage, so finding this place was top priority number one! While on the search, he adjusted his hat when he felt it was out of place on his head. While he re-adjusted his headwear, he ended up bumping into a young lady. He felt bad for walking into them and apologized for this error of his. He was even close to dropping his wooden staff, but was able to grab it quickly after bumping into the individual.
"Oh dear, I am so sorry milady! I got distracted while looking for the university and adjusting my hat here! Forgive me!" He said to the individual he bumped into as he looked at her appearance and was rather curious. It seems this young lady was wearing a white cloak with a black t-shirt and pleaded skirt. Was this a uniform of sorts? He hadn't seen such a unique choice of clothing before, or at least in his original world. This mystified the young teenager as he then asked "Are you a mage in training as well? That white robe... you must be a healer. I believe I've heard of white mages that could heal afflictions in my world, and even destroy the undead." Could this be the way to helping him finding the University that he was searching for?
