Kyr National Hall of the Arts was the destination for today. In a bid to spark some of Lunafreya's memories, Lorenzo had a hunch that visiting a place of prestige might do the trick. It would also help for her to absorb more about Sonora and blend in. In spite of her amnesia, she made a terrific student, willing to learn and dutiful to any task placed before her. Even if she was a bit too old for 'homework', it didn't bother her at all.
This visit would help Luna distinguish the people of Sonora by class. Thus far, she'd seen the citizens who were poor, working class, and even lower middle thus far. She hadn't seen those who were upper middle and above, the ones who would run corporations and hold civil servant positions. From her studies so far, President Illode Kyre founded the theatre center itself. Even having his own box within for private viewing pleasure. She had witnessed something similar in the past, though the names and faces eluded her. Gently placing a hand to her forehead, she seemed to develop a bit of a headache when she pushed her memory.
Further studies, by way of Lorenzo's profession, revealed to Luna that Sonora only traded with and acknowledged Provo. His mysterious Mistress was a prominent Business Order who managed trades of goods between the two. Even being able to provide certain rare goods from other regions Sonora would not recognize. Given the nature of those goods, Luna felt the President was silly to not reach out establish something. It meant different corporations and businesses with the know how profited from grey and black methods, without giving an official cut. Whilst Luna was convinced she must be quite wealthy, she was beginning to understand the secrecy to her operations.
"Mr. Lorenzo? How much are the tickets for this venue?" Lorenzo was elusive about prices at times. A simple drink he'd state as much but certain expenses he kept hidden. In this case, he did mention the value, albeit in a whisper before offering his arm for her to hold. As she took his arm, she was mildly surprised. Though her intuition could have guessed as much. There was time before their scheduled show, allowing her to walk about and take in the sights.

The Dragonblades
To say that the attempt to plan for their escapade in Sonora had been a disaster was putting it mildly. It was a catastrophe filled with dissent, attempted sleep spells, trying to shame people for getting a bit too pent up at the sight of a beautiful woman and an attempted beer bottle mugging. To say that Caius wanted out of Sonora as soon as possible? Also an understatement. He hated it here. Despised it. Everything about this place felt wrong, and the incident at Tifa's bar only made it worse.
Sonora was corrupt to its core and unwelcoming to outworlders. As cold physically as it was spiritually. Caius didn't feel like he could relax for even a second here. He couldn't walk openly with Vordun, and so the dragon had been left in the care of the little Dragonblades outpost outside of the city that had been bought since his last visit. At the least, Vordun would be well taken care of away from the prying eyes of Sonoran officials. In the pits of this city, however, Caius wasn't so lucky. No Vordun, armor having to be packed into the glaive, and everyone around him was just as frozen and devoid of life as this city. It just felt so... Wrong. It SHOULD feel right. On the surface, it reminded him of his occasional trips to the city of Lestallum when he was a child. That city was beautiful, albeit crowded and full of roads and vehicles you had to watch out for. Torensten was more... Walkable, in comparison. But in Lestallum, they had been able to make due with how warm everyone was... Much like in Torensten.
There was no warm here. Just cold. Cold weather, cold roads full of unfeeling people who weren't that keen to stop even if you were literally about to get hit by their car. This place reminded him of home in some ways, sure... But instead of making him feel comfortable at all, it felt like a complete and utter perversion of what few cherished memories he had. He didn't want to be here. And the longer he stayed, the more it drove him closer to madness.
As much as he wanted to lay on the couch all day in the little outpost the Dragonblades had formed outside of town, counting down the days until they could break out their fellows and leave. He knew lingering there would arouse suspicion. Caius needed an alibi. To be seen around the city doing things. Things he didn't really know what or how to do. But he would have to try.
Caius had never developed an ability to appreciate art. But the museum in Torensten had historical weapons that had sparked his passion. Perhaps something at the museum here might do the same? That was the hope, however as with everything else in Sonora, Caius wasn't getting his hopes up. But being in close quarters with so many different classes made him that much more aware of how out of his element he was. While he wore a black suit with hair tied back in order to blend in, he still didn't feel like he belonged. The stark differences between the classes only made Sonora feel that much more cold and heartless.
He just hoped that whoever suggested he come here knew the entry fee too, considering Caius didn't have a whole lot of Sonora collateral on him.
Needless to say, the entry fee was...high. Particularly since Lorenzo did pay for better in order to allow Luna to experience this as the elite of Sonora did. For those who were not Outworlders and affluent, Sonora was an entirely different world from what Caius had experienced thus far. That was why the class divide was so strong. When one had money, service was fantastic and just up ahead as the tickets were being purchased and entrance was granted, the proof of that was given. The clerk greeted the two warmly with polite mannerisms, provided two tablets that were loaded with information, akin to pamphlets.
When Lunafreya took her tablet, intuitively she began to work the device. A map was projected and it caused a slight gasp to escape her lips. The extravagance of this place was surreal in terms of size alone. Squinting, she tried to figure out where she wanted to visit first and thus the two moved to the side of the ticket booth. "I don't think we'll be able to see this all before the show." she confesses and Lorenzo chuckles in agreement.
As she looked closer, Luna was puzzled by one exhibit, because there was a mix of familiarity and something new. It forced her to grasp the side of her head with her left hand.
"You shouldn't force yourself..."
Lorenzo speaks up now, guiding her further in and towards a resting area so that Lunafreya could sit down. When she felt the pain subsided, she rested the tablet in her lap. Her eyes were downcast as she sighed solemnly. "I saw...someone, a young man with black hair. Then I saw a city...but it didn't seem familiar at all." what bothered Luna, that city was so vivid but unlike the man with black hair who felt familiar, he was unclear, his face...a blur.

The Dragonblade
Caius regretted this instantly. They wanted HOW MUCH? But he was already here too, which was disappointing. Perhaps he should just turn and walk away regardless. A museum, as fun as it sounded to learn more about Sonora, didn’t sound like an expense that he should take with his limited resources. The conversion rate from anywhere to Sonora was just downright terrible, to be frank. And if he was going to be here for awhile, then he was going to have to be careful of his spending in order to keep himself fed while they hashed out this whole jailbreak thing. He didn’t have much in resources here, that was the harsh reality of his trip to Sonora. There just wasn’t really room to do a bunch of fun things. Besides, he was here for business.
So he made the call. Caius quietly turned and started walking away from the ticket booth. On the way , he passed by a woman that…
… Looked really familiar.
He didn’t know what it was about her, but it caused heat to rise to his cheeks for just a moment, as if something old and personal was rekindled. No, it couldn’t be, could it? While not entirely impossible, Noctis would have mentioned if she was here. She’d have been involved in the planning with them, odds were. The resemblance was uncanny, however, and he couldn’t entirely turn away-
Which was a problem considering it caused him to bump into a gentleman in clothes far more expensive than Caius’ own. Luna and Lorenzo would hardly get past the ticket booth before the yelling started.
“WATCH WHERE YOU’RE GOING, YOU MISERABLE URCHIN!”
Yeah, Caius supposed he should have seen that coming. It seemed he had provoked the ire of the man, and Caius took a deep breath as he did his best to find the best solution to go with.
“Sorry about that.”
“Oh, you’re SORRY, are you? Did you see the sign and realize you’re too poor to afford the showings? Maybe you should have looked it up ahead of time instead of thinking yourself as successful as myself, being turned away and sullying my ten thousand gil suit with your-“
Caius had checked out about midway through this and was already on his way out the door. Made easier since people were backing away on account of the yelling.
“Look at me when I’m talking to you, boy! How disrespectful! Savvy, show him some manners!”
Caius probably should have realized that the tall and burly gentleman nearby was with his accoster, but he wasn’t the most familiar with Sonora’s rich class. What he did hear however was people whispering, the cracking of knuckles and heavy boots clanking on the marble floors. Caius let out a long sigh as he turned around.
“I have no intentions of ruining your suit, friend. It’s nice.”
It seemed sweet talk wasn’t getting him out of this, however, as the large man charged him in turn. Knowing that he shouldn’t cause a panic by summoning his blade, Caius decided to abide by his proclamation and not actually harm the man. Instead, he let his own momentum carry him as Caius stepped to the side at the last moment, his foot catching that of his aggressor and causing them to crash into the wall.
“Get up, you oaf! What do you think I’m paying you for?”
“You okay there, buddy?”
Cameras had been pulled out, so that made Caius that much more inclined to not make too much of a show of things. So when the brute got up again, Caius decided to make this a quick one. When he was charged at once more, he used just a little touch of magic. So subtle that one might not even notice, even when recording up close. The phase augmented his speed just the slightest, just small enough to not materialize any sparks . It instead looked as though he’d moved very quickly, getting behind the man and delivering an elbow to the side of the gut. The slight warp allowed a bit more velocity, putting more pressure into the strike and felling them quickly in a prone and doubled over state.
It was just enough magic of a Lucian king that an Oracle would be able to pick it up, even from her seat.
“Sorry for the suit wrinkles. Should be able to smooth them out.”
With that, Caius turned, placed his hands in his pockets and began his exit. He didn’t hear the old blowhard’s yelling anymore at this point, he’d already tuned it out.
