Well, he understood to some extent anyway. He understood enough, he liked to hope. The only person who could understand this entire thing to its fullest would be Celes herself, it was her brain after all. Still, he tried his best to empathize and he at least was able to understand just enough to be accepting of it and support her wish. He hoped she knew that at least.
She corrected him about how it had nothing to do with his outings, or her specific role with the guild. She just needed to get away for a bit. That did narrow it down a little less, and perhaps he couldn't place the issue as well as he would like. But the gist was that she needed to get away for a bit in order to help herself mentally, in some capacity. And if it was the best thing for her, who was he to argue? He trusted her judgement, he wouldn't have formed this guild with her otherwise. So all he could do in the end was nod his head. He had promised they would be here when she was ready to return. He'd just have to work a bit harder to ensure he lived up to that claim.
Everything's been different since the storm, she said. It was, in a sense. But he wasn't really sure how. It was... Difficult to put into words, at least for him. Perhaps for her too. Down went the last drink and with it, the evening's events. Drinks were paid for and Caius stretched as he rose. It was getting too crowded for his tastes anyway, so he didn't mind the end of their outing -- as enjoyable and productive as it had been. He smiled slightly when she brought up the intern, and Yuna, scratching his head sheepishly.
"We'll find them. As for Yuna... I think a trip to Provo would be great if you're looking for a change of scenery."
