Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.
The current skin was made by Pharaoh Leap of Pixel Perfect. Outside of that, individual posts and characters belong to their creators, and we claim no ownership to what which is not ours. Thank you for stopping by.
It sounded as though the majority of people Caius had met were outsiders. Was it truly such a high number? And to hear that so many people of loftier classes and standing were brought here, as well. Why so many fighters? What was the reason? Was there one? Was it random? Some divine will? Or the whim of a darker entity?
"Maybe we're not meant to know," she said, sounding a bit dejected at the idea. "I continue praying. I ask for guidance on my path. This world holds many and I still feel lost in it, uncertain which road will lead me where I need to be. Maybe a day will come when we'll all discover the reason together." She could hope.
Their food was brought out before too long. Perhaps it was the nature of their conversation, or the stress, but the sight of it finally reaching their table was comforting in its own way. A good meal did wonders for her mood.
Aera spoke up a few bites into her own plate. Things would work out how they were meant to and she didn't want to dwell on it. "Do you plan to stay here in Provo very long?" she asked. It seemed better to move on. The food was wonderful, anyway. If the change of topic hadn't distracted her from feeling gloomy, the flavors would've. "I'll be venturing east soon, I think. There's still so much to see..." There was a bit of wonder in that. Strange and new as this world was, Aera still had an appreciation for its many sights and customs. There was her grander goal--to find her fiance and heal the ailing--but that didn't mean she couldn't appreciate the scenery and culture along the way.

"Maybe we're not. Maybe we're all here for different, but still very important reasons" he suggested in response with a small smile in when Aera suggested they weren't meant to know. "We all have our own skillsets and capabilities. Out of my companions, Yuna is a healer, and is capable of summoning beings that resemble our Astrals" he brought up, making sure this time not to say they were the Astrals themselves. He had seen Yuna's Shiva up close, and while she resembled the depictions of the Glacian from folklore... That was impossible for it to be the same one, considering where Yuna had come from. "Celes, who is my co-leader, is a military general. Brilliant commander of men, and a force on the battlefield herself. They have different backgrounds, and may have been called for a different purpose, just as you and I have. And with all the trouble here in the world... Well, there's plenty of potential reasons to go around. Might as well try and solve as many as we can. Maybe then we'll find out which one is ours."
He could agree that a good meal could do wonders on a mood. And considering all of the subject nature of their talks, it was very much needed. It wasn't until it reached the table that he realized he was hungry, as well. He took a few bites as Aera asked her questions. She said she'd be venturing east soon, herself. "Any idea of where you're wanting to head in particular? I could probably help with directions a little" he offered. "As for me.. I'll be in Provo for a little bit longer. Then I'm off to Sonora. They're incredibly... Strict, over there. Not too far from the Niflheim Empire from our world, but I want to help the Dragonblades start to establish a foothold over there. So while it'll be hard... Gotta start putting in the work at some point. Might as well do it now."
For everyone to have been drawn into one world for different reasons--Caius mentioned his healer and commander connections--implied a greater purpose. A larger picture, as it were. But Aera couldn't see it yet. Maybe no one could. She could only nod, concern etching into her features, and thoughts of the divines sticking vividly at the front of her mind. She would keep praying. What else could she do?
"I wish you haste in securing your comrades' presence there," she said, thinking back on the rough first few days she'd spent in Sonora. It hadn't been a friendly place. No, not in the slightest. Calling it strict was an interesting choice of words, but for someone like Caius, maybe that was more accurate. Aera had found it altogether unsettling.
"I need no directions. My destination is unknown, really. I simply wander, forging a mental map in my travels, healing the sick, searching for him..." She looked away, gazing out at nothing of importance. Aera didn't know where she would end up or how, and every day was different. She'd fared just fine so far, though, even without a precariously detailed itinerary for every step on the road.
Their food being brought over was a small blessing. Aera went quiet, mulling over her thoughts in tandem with the food. It was well made. The Oracle wasn't choosy, though. Just about anything would've been fine alongside the drinks.
"Thanks again, for this," she said after making a dent in her dish. "Maybe, if I see you again in the north, maybe there will be a way I can return your kindess--help with your efforts with the Dragonblades, perhaps." She offered a small smile and a subtle shrug. Aera was no fighter, but helping people was the very air she breathed.
Maybe she'd eventually get to meet that companion of his, too, and finally satisfy her curiosity. Getting to know some of the comrades he spoke so highly of wouldn't hurt, either. If they really were doomed to remain in this strange world, making more connections--maybe even more allies--would only help down the line.

By what Caius knew of Sonora, it would be less than easy. Sonora was far from the friendliest place in Zephon, to say the least. He was going to need to try and make some headway soon, and even if he did try.... There was no guarantee that they were going to get anywhere. Sonora, the so called "Democratic State", seemed to be getting more and more strict and regimented every time he heard about it. Things were clearly changing over there, and not for the better. Caius was fully aware that he had his work cut out for him. He didn't really want to leave the comforts of Torensten to head to that frozen hellscape, but the fact was, there were prospective members there, and people that needed help. Whether he liked it or not, he had a duty to the people to at least try to establish a presence there.
"Thank you" he spoke softly with a gentle bow of his head as she wished him luck. She said she needed no directions, preferring to travel at her leisure and make her own routes. Well, so long as she knew that Sonora was north and it was probably not the best idea for her to go there, then he was sure she would do fine. Eventually. Might not help her find Ardyn anytime soon, but that wasn't really a problem. In his view, the later she found Ardyn, the better, really. Ardyn was a monster, through and through. He may feel sympathy for his plight, but... At the end of the day, his deeds could not be disputed.
She offered to return his kindness one day, and he smiled. "I appreciate the thought. But helping people is what we do. I hope if I see you next, it's not in the north though. I'd like to not be there longer than I have to be" he admitted with a small chuckle.
The food came and went quickly enough. Once they had finished, the bill was paid and Caius stretched out before getting to his feet. He held out a hand to her. "I hope you've found what you're looking for next I see you, Oracle. I regret that my current duties take me elsewhere, over the Kingsglaive's duty to protect the Oracle and King. But if you need help, you know where to find us."
