Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Click the image for a super easy new skin guide for a visual tour!
Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.
The current skin was made by Pharaoh Leap of Pixel Perfect. Outside of that, individual posts and characters belong to their creators, and we claim no ownership to what which is not ours. Thank you for stopping by.

Treasure hunter, huh? Caius had the impression that she was hiding something, but she didn't seem dangerous, so hopefully his senses were just off the mark. He would come to regret this later, of course, when the wanted posters started coming around and everything. He nodded his head curtly as Fran brought up that she was a "treasure hunter". That made the decision fairly easy. And luckily, it was where he had been heading back to anyway.
"Torensten, then. The Adventurer's Paradise" he brought up as Vordun started to gain speed. "I'd hold on if I were you. As for Torensten, it's a more tropical climate, so you'll probably be fine. They're known for their warm demeanor, magic, ships and airships. Just try not to cause trouble. Otherwise you'll be swarmed. They've got quite the sense of community over there" he brought up, casually tipping that causing trouble in the city borders was probably not a good idea. They may not be some kind of regime like in Sonora, but it was still a bad idea to cross the people of Torensten nonetheless. You could be surrounded on all sides by everyone who was witness to the crime very, very quickly.
"Suppose you don't feel like telling me a little about yourself, do you? We've got a bit of time."
If there was one thing she took from his little ramble, it was airships. It seemed the perfect place to go, and Fran was quite pleased with the information he had given her about the area. If he was keen to emotions, he could probably sense a bit of relief from the rabbit woman. Foreign as it was, Torensten seemed like a place she could fit into. Not like she truly wanted to fit in, but it would be easier to... obtain that which she needed. And if it was an area like he described, perhaps she would come across a fellow sky pirate whom she had been in search of this whole time...[break][break]
But her pleasant thoughts were soon pushed to the backburner as he continued to question her. Now, what could she... What did she want to divulge to a stranger? There wasn't much she was willing to say. Though she decided to answer him in a different way, both answering his question but also remaining a bit secretive. "We are Viera," she explained, giving her ear a bit of a turn to indicate she was speaking about her appearance. "Those of the Wood. Have you seen more of us, here?" She was certainly curious to know if there were variations among the inhabitants. Caius seemed like a normal Hume, whom she expected to see plenty of, if this place were anything like Ivalice. Humes everywhere, with the occasional lizard-like Bangaa and pig-like Seeq. She had encountered this world's moogles, yet they were so incredibly different from the moogles from Ivalice, it was hard to believe them moogles at all...[break][break]
Fran ran a clawed hand through her hair, lightly scratching at her scalp. "What is there to know about you?" she questioned, her own curiosity should have been returned. He wasn't the only one who had questions.

It wasn't much, and it was clear she was trying to hide as much as possible. Caius did wonder a bit if saving and transporting the woman may have been a bad idea. Someone with that much to hide probably had their share of skeletons in their closet. But for now, there was no real reason not to help besides suspicions, so... That would have to be how it was. That's just how it be sometimes. Still, he had a feeling she wasn't human in the traditional sense, though humanoid enough to be considered "human" by other standards. Viera, she had called herself and what he assumed to be her kind. He thought to ask about her armor, noting previously that it left much of her hips and tailbone exposed to attack. Was it perhaps for reasons related to speed? It was a strange armor piece, that didn't leave her legs exposed much but left other parts exposed instead, making him wonder if it was actually related to speed as it was for some of his own companions. Perhaps it was simply part of their culture?
"I haven't seen any others in my travels, no" he admitted curtly. "I've met different kinds of humanoids, but you are the only one of your kind I've met. As for myself..." he trailed off. Did he match her vague info with that of his own? Or did he give a little to try and get a little? Bit of both?
"I operate out of the Dragonblades Mercenary Guild, based out of Torensten, which is where we're going. We do jobs based around helping folks, then use the funds to take care of our warriors to fulfill our secondary function" he brought up. "There are dangerous people that have been brought to this world. Taking care of them and other threats when they cause problems is one of our priorities."
Fran let her eyes drift through the clouds as he began to describe himself and his work. Mercenaries weren't exactly her enemies, however they could pose to get in the way of certain goals she had, whatever those goals may be. Her life was a blank canvas at the moment, her goal being that of reuniting with her partner. After that, they could decide together. However, now that she knew Caius' profession, she was certain he'd probably disagree with her life's choices.
A curt nod was given in response. Their conversation was simply one of convenience for the sake of not flying in silence. Though she did feel a bit disappointed that he had not seen any other Viera. How interesting it would be to come across one like herself. It almost made her frown...
But she was able to keep her poker face through the flight. She finally turned back to her company and leaned forward to speak closer to his ear, since the speed of the dragon had increased and the wind howled around them. "How much farther?"

More silence. More long, awkward silence. Between her and Selene, Caius was getting quite used to these awkward silences. Just as before, he hoped that he hadn’t said anything to offend her. While she had been far from the nicest person around, she had at least tried to be civil. But rather than continue the conversation, Fran instead focused on what was ahead of them. Fair enough, he supposed. He was just a taxi to her, nothing more on this day. She wasn’t obligated to continue to oblige him with casual conversation, anyway.
“It’s just up ahead” Caius answered. And so it was. A beautiful city with flying air trams all around, with white architecture all about as ports littered the city. Boats and airships came and went, and for a traveler or an adventurer, a craftsman or a mercenary… This place was paradise. It really did befit the name, The Adventurer’s Paradise. That suited the Torensten Dukedom and its capital city to a T. Caius wondered about the identity of this woman if she was keeping her cards to her chest, but… Not much he could do, was there?
Vordun landed a little ways from the city, to keep from attracting attention and they walked the rest of the way on foot.
“Anywhere in particular you want to go before we part?”
Intrigued by the scenery before them, Fran raised a brow. Airships hovered in the sky and the architecture was actually quite familiar. Had they been surrounded by a large, dry desert, she'd think them close to Rabanstre. Yet she knew now that this world was not where she was from... She closed her eyes and tightened her expression to keep from showing just how much unease she felt about this situation.
Soon, the dragon descended and landed upon solid earth. Fran slipped smoothly from the beast's saddle. Her hand lingered upon the beast's hide, giving it a single pat before turning to its owner. "I will find my way," she said, her heels turning to begin walking in the direction of the city. If Balthier were to be anywhere, it would hopefully be here. It was too much like home. And if he wasn't here, she'd stay until he was.
When she had taken a few steps, Fran turned once more toward Caius and gave him a small nod. "I thank you for your assistance." Maybe someday, they'd cross paths again. For now, she had a mission, and nothing could get in her way.
