Cortez Lavernan

Not much is known about the mysterious and malicious former nobleman from the Kingdom of Lucis, except that he was disgraced for his experiments, blames the Dragelion family and has sought out to destroy them no matter what world he ends up in. With his building army of daemons, he hopes to exercise his revenge, as well as gain control over Zephon so people may see things from his point of view, even if they all have to be daemons to see it that way. While he has killed and daemonified the rest of the Dragelion family, one remains - Caius Dragelion. And Cortez is in no hurry, seeming fully content to torment and torture his prey before he deals the killing blow.

According to Cortez, Caius' father was the one to have him imprisoned, and turned his family against him. It was Cortez who killed his birth and adopted family, and it was he who attempted to assassinate Noctis Lucis Caelum before being brought to Zephon. While Cortez has disappeared for the time being, it is unlikely that this is the last we will see of him...

Cortez appears to have the ability to daemonify humans and creatures, as well as control them. He is capable of storing their essence within him and summoning them at will, as well as being able to destroy them at will should he desire it. He appears to have serious Black Magic capabilities, but generally relies on his daemons. He knows enough with a sword to defend himself in melee combat, though may have trouble if pushed in this manner.

Vordun

A dragon hatched from a clutch atop a mountain. His mother was defeated in a clash with Caius Dragelion, who took pity on the now defenseless egg and took it with him. After traveling with the egg for a time, Vordun hatched on the dawn that the Dragonblades were formed, having an impact on the naming process. Since then, Caius has taken Vordun with him on many of his assignments, as Caius continues to train him to hunt, fight and use all of his capabilities to their fullest extent.

Vordun has blue scales and a yellow underbelly. He is a playful and friendly dragon, who generally likes most people. While he learns quickly, Vordun is still growing and gaining experience and shows a lack of maturity much of the time. But when things get serious, Vordun is able to read Caius' body language and sense his emotions quickly, and will generally mirror them. Vordun is presently able to understand commands, though he understands one-word commands more quickly while things more detailed take time to process if he understands it at all. Vordun is incredibly close with Caius, and prefers to stick by him.

Karg & Duug

The mercenaries Karg and Duug have been partners in sellswording for a long time, and found themselves drawn to the tenants of the Dragonblades mercenary guild. While the pair are a bit odd, not the brightest at times and had a penchant for getting drunk, Caius recognized their strength of character when he met them during one of his jobs. And as strange as they are, they were two the friendliest chaps he had ever met. But one thing that got Caius' attention was just how dangerous they were as a pair. They had perfected their battling chemistry in ways that even Caius could admit to being envious of.

Karg stands at about seven foot tall, and seems to be the more well-mannered of the two. Though his penchant for saying exactly what he feels can get him in trouble. But he does enjoy a good joke. Duug stands at about 5'6, and prefers having a drink in his hand most of the time. He is foul-mouthed, but well-meaning.
