”Sonora? Well I guess I will add that to the places I will have to visit at some point. Yet for now I feel happy to stick around here and see if I can get in and help those that need it.” Monori could not help herself and smiled at that. As if it truly was Ysayle the cold did not bother her and she knew that that woman could easily handle herself from anyone. I mean if she could handle the whining of Alphinaud and Estinien worst moments she could handle anyone. Though her internal thoughts about a possible old friend was halted as Yuna began to explain what had happened to her in her world. A giant monster that had been beaten several times over the millenia and always seemed to return. Monori was familiar with creatures and beings like that. Yet it was not something that she was going to comment on. The Ascians in her world were gone yet it struck her suddenly like a bolt of lightning. If this world could draw souls to it in moments of death could they of dragged in any of the Ancients? ”Yuna you have my respect in the hard fighting that you did on your world. And that is interesting how you arrived here. Just going to bed and waking up is certainly one way to do it. As for Sin… that sounds frightening but I have fought creatures of immense size once or twice…. Though I never did find the source of them and dispose of em like you did. So that is impressive.” Monori felt herself giving praise to the younger woman as she deserved it. This was something to be bragging about and yet Yuna remained humble. That gave her so many points for Monori. As the second exam room was opened a question was asked and Monori smiled widely thinking about it. Taking in a breath she began to regale Yuna with her tale. “I was on a journey to defeat something we Scions called the End of Days. It was a terrifying phenomenon that turned the very aether that our bodies were made of against us. Twisting those who lost themselves to sadness and despair into monstrous beings. We had gotten a delay on it and traveled with the assistance of a tribe of beastmen known as the Loporitts to a place known as Ultima Thule. There I… My friends had to sacrifice themselves one by one in order to progress deeper and deeper into the realm. One by one I had to watch them give themselves so that I could continue on forward til only I was left.”
“That did not last long as I wound up using that orange crystal that hangs off my staff to summon multiple people from the Lifestream of Ethyris to assist me in confronting her. My allies I summoned in the same way from where they had been taken and then I sent them to safety as the Endsinger which was the core of Meteion’s power was confronted by myself and seven other heroes that shared my gifts from across the rift. Even though I do not understand how it works, it does. It was after this fight I wound up in one final fight against a frenemy of mine. A man named Zenos Yae Galvus. A man whom had used his own body to transform into a dragon only a few moments earlier…” Monori could not help herself but regale the full tale. Even though it was not asked it helped to frame how she arrived here on Zephon. Taking a moment or two to gather up her thoughts she continued. ”There where there was noone able to get in the way or interrupt our fight Zenos challenged me into single combat. Which I accepted as he had assisted me earlier and I thought it only fair. Yet it took a lot out of the both of us and by the end we were both e exhausted and just throwing punches at one another til we both collapsed onto the ground. With him expiring from his exertion and I fell asleep and awoke here.” She finished up as she walked around the room. Taking in each and every single thing that she could. Though it was a few moments before she would ask Yuna something. ”Would this be my room to use? As I find it perfectly sized and with plenty of room for my own flair.” She had a wide smile on her face as she was already starting to think of what all she could do here and just how good she would be able to do as well. ”Well it is a blessing when it allows you to see moments in the past of the area or person, but it isn't working here. So I am both grateful and yet concerned about it.” Monori had to say something as she could not help herself. The Echo was a truly fickle beast and this was another moment that it was being its fickle self. Though as Yuna spoke about the carbuncles asking if every summoner in her home had them Monori nodded at her. A smile crossed her lips as she nodded. “Yes they did. They even came in something of a rainbow of colors. One of my closest friends was a Summoner and she always had a brilliant Ruby Red carbuncle out. I can still clearly see the darn thing as it stole my lunch from me naught but a few weeks before I arrived here.” She spoke the words coming out in a slow but purposeful cadence. Just remembering her friend would always give her a smile on her face and she would be able to endure this place for however long it was needed. Though as the tour commenced and the condolences were given and an apology and explanation for Bahamut came Monori just waved her hand. For her it did not matter as it was a different world so it was a different Bahamut. For her at least it all made some sense. Especially after her travels to the First and then Elpis are still relatively fresh in her mind. ”Ones faith is one of the strongest weapons back home. So I can understand that your Bahamut is not mine and it does not have the will like ours did. Your was a protector our a perverted destroyer.”She could not help but just wave her hand at that after she finished up. That day had been so many years before so she did not mind it anymore. Instead she was more curious as to how Bahamut would be upon a different plane without the Allag prison that twisted the Dragon King would be like. Though her blaise attitude slipped away almost instantly as Yuna spoke about meeting an Ysayle up upon Mt Hotan. That made her freeze in place and she could feel the memories well up but then subside just as fast. “Tall white haired woman. With pointed ears and a calm demeanor? She said that she has been in many wars… That does sound like her. Yet for me she died several years ago so mayhaps this world could drag those at deaths door here. I would have to speak with her to see if she was truly my old friend or not.” The words escaped her lips and she could not help but give a soft gentle smile toward Yuna as she was curious as to everything that had happened with Ysayle, but for now she was not going to ask about that. ”So tell me Miss Yuna. How did you wind up coming here? As I can tell you my arrival here was.. Unexpected to say the least was how I arrived here.” She said as she couldn't help herself but let her inquisitive nature come through. (( Yuna ))

Monori would freeze but for a moment at the mention of Bahamut. As she would not talk about it in the here and now but to her that name was certainly still fresh in her mind. As each night when she would have a nightmare it would be of the fire that the primal Bahamut of Meracydia had bathed the Plains of Carteneau with. It was something that would stick with her forever no matter where she was. Though the mention of Shiva brought a pleasant smile to her lips as for her it was a remembrance of a dear friend of hers. Another story for another time it seemed especially with a patient in front of them. Though a question came that she had no issues with responding to and Monori found herself responding without really thinking. ”How did I wind up joining? Well for me it was a fun little thing. I was assisting my home City State of Gridania with keeping a sacred site safe from an invasive group of beastkin. I caught the eye of two of the members of the Scions and after performing some tasks for them the offer was extended to me. That and it helped me that I had a similar blessing upon my soul as the leader of the group did. Though it seems to not be working at all since coming here. Which is a relief as it only really was good at giving me headaches.” A light chuckle would escape her lips as she spoke about the Echo in such a manner. It was both a relief and concern for her to not have it working here on Zephon, but she had a feeling it was something to do with the planet itself. “Ahh you do not have them… that is sad as they are adorable little bluish green looking creatures. About three tall and four feet in length. Very friendly and curious creatures. I will gladly tell you more about them after we help the man with his petrification issues.” Monori could not help but want to help someone. This was something that she could not help but feed her hunger to do. After healing the man Monori could not help smiling toward him and his friends as they were escorted out by Yuna. Bowing her head as she was thanked. She was humble when the moment called for it. Outside of that she was certainly more than proud of everything that she had accomplished. Once they had left she heard Yuna speak up once more and she could not help but nod toward her. “Took me losing my cousin to a curable status to lay down the spear and take up the healer's staff. I wanted to be sure as many people would not have to go through what I did. The Scions had several of us that could heal the others when they rushed in head first. Heck I was one of those that ran head first in alot of the time. Yet they stood at my side even after we lost many of our friends over the years of our travels.” Her gaze was at the door as the men all left obviously happy for their friend. Though as Yuna offered her a full tour she would nod in agreement. As she would love to have the full lay of the land for the clinic. Mostly so she knew where she would be best served. Though before they would walk out of the clinic room Monori would chime up once more. “And those names that you spoke of before we entered the room. Two of them are familiar to me. Yet I feel that they mean something different to you than me. As in my world Bahamut was the King of Dragons and founder of the Dragon Lands of Meracydia. He was killed several Eons before my birth and yet he came back as a Primal and he laid waste to a large section of the world before being defeated by an immense magical effort. As for Shiva… She was a close and dear friend to me. Ysayle Dragoulain was her name and she was Lady Iceheart… or at least that is what the people of one of the city states called her. She was killed during the waning days of the Dragonsong War.” She left off with that as she had no idea about any of Yuna’s adventures nor who she had seen and spoken with across Zephon. (( Yuna ))

As Yuna spoke about Etheryis and said that it sounded like a beautiful place Monori could not help but smile at her. For her it was the most beautiful place she had ever been and she would not change anything about that world should she ever be able to. As Yuna spoke hoping that Monori could someday make it home she could not help but glance at the orange crystal that hun from her staff. She knew that someday that Azem’s crystal would get her the ability to return home. Someday she knew that this would happen but until then she would just live the best life that she could here on Zephon. Though came a question rather shortly after the handshake began about the Scions. She nodded in response. ”You could call us that. We originally were created to defend our realm from Summoned Eikons but we kind of evolved over the years.” She found it a little funny to have to explain what the Scions were but it did not bother the Miqote in the least. She was proud of what they were and what they had become. Even after the Crystal Braves Fiasco came and went. Shortly after the handshake was let go of Yuna began speaking about herself. Saying that she was from a place called Spira. To her it sounded like a good place. Explaining her entire story to Monori it seemed since her arrival on Zephon. It had been years for her? That was maddening to Monori’s mind. As there was no question that she would return home. Yet was there a chance that she would never return home? Never return to the Scions and her small home on the beaches of Shirogane. The warm embrace of her beloved friends. She cast her gaze down for a moment before bringing her gaze back up to Yuna as she mentioned that she was a summoner. ”You are a summoner? I do not see a Carbuncle anywhere nearby? Are they assisting with the man in the back?” She knew from experience that Summoners could heal a little and that their carbuncle was the focal for that. Or at least that is how it was back home. This land was certainly in for multiple surprises for the Miqote in the future. Though as Yuna mentioned petrification her left ear would twitch and she would sigh. For her petrification was something normal from her time fighting the Goblins that served Titan’s twisted words. Though as Yuna turned to assist she was about to stop her when she stopped herself. Asking if Monori would like to help. Her grin widened on her face as Monori could not help herself but nod. “I would gladly help with this. A quick Esuna and the man should be back on their feet in no time.” Monori spoke as she moved to walk alongside Yuna toward the back of the clinic and the patient's room. That was no reason that Monori would turn this down and she moved alongside her and once inside the room she could see what Yuna was combating against. It was certainly a petrification spell and it was one that Monori had never seen as in Etheryis it was either an instant petrification spell or something quicker acting then just the slow acting one that seemed to be afflicting this man. Monori set aside her staff leaning it against the nearby wall, its glow going off as she did so. Walking over beside the man she could feel that the man was truly ill and she was going to do what she could. Closing her eyes she allowed her aether to swirl up from within and a light white light swirled around her feet and swirled around her for a moment as she casted Esuna upon the man. Her right hand would end up pointed toward the sky as the cast finished and she opened her eyes to look at the man. ”Miss Yuna I believe that should have helped the man. You are more of his doctor so I do not know his status before today. SO I will leave anything else to you.” When she finished speaking she could not help but smile as the man started a little at the dark skinned cat girl standing there smiling toward him. (( Yuna ))

Monori could not help but blink as the brunette came half running half jogging out from the back of the clinic. If she had to guess this would be the place that the patients were inside of. So that was a place that she noted in her mind as one that she would need to memorize its location. Though the formality that she was seen was something that she had only seen in her travels in Doma. The bow was quickly returned from Monori as she always learned that if one bowed to you you returned it. Well that is what Hien and Gosetsu had told her when she asked about the practice while in Shirogane. As she bowed she spoke up and responded to Yuna’s first quick words. “It is not a problem Miss Yuna. I did not have much to do around here and the savings of one's life waits for noone.” She responded and got back to her standing position shortly before Yuna had. The grip on her staff only loosened a little as she knew that unlike the last time she interacted with a Dragonblade there would not be a loudmouthed man there to infuriate her and make her contemplate using her lance upon them. Yet her attention was fully back upon Yuna as she caught the gaze upon her Allag Staff that she carried. True it was a unique thing and that is why Monori loved it. That and it was a memory of the first adventure she had ever had with Graha Tia. So that was the main reason she loved the staff. She was quickly asked if she was from another world and she nodded toward Yuna. “I am from Etheryis. A land of many peoples, many races, and many stalwart souls that I miss every day. I hope that they all managed to make it back from Ultima Thule without losing hope that I will return to them someday. As for if I am a White Mage I certainly am. Have been one for as long as I can remember. Well outside of a short time that I wished to fight like… a departed friend and I took up the lance. But my crystal is proof of that.” As she finished speaking she lifted up her glove and showed it to Yuna. The pearl white crystal shone in the middle of it. The symbol of the healers staff proudly emblazoned on its face. After a moment she lowered the hand and swung her staff onto her back and extended her hand toward Yuna. ”My name is Monori Jhida. An adventurer and healer by trade but until recently I was a member of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.” She had to be sure that the formal introductions were completed as she did not wish for Yuna to feel that she was just some crazy person. As she extended her hand her right ear would twinge as she could hear a light groan coming from back in the treatment room. (( Yuna ))

Monori had taken the flyer from Celes and after getting away from her and Alex the infuriating man she had slipped back into an alley and pulled up a dull brown cloak around herself. Tucking her tail away as she pulled the cloak around herself she pulled the hood up and began her way through the City. Slowly making her way across the city and to the location of the clinic as Celes had instructed her on its locations. She could not help but smile as the building was not audacious nor gaudy in any manner. Instead it was a simple building with a gentle sloping roof and gentle lights leading the way toward a central main entrance. It was a nice reminder of similar buildings back in the Lavender Beds back in Gridania. . Knocking upon the door proper she felt the door slowly open as she made contact with it. This struck the Miqo'te as unusual and she would grasp the cane off her back and slowly open the door. Sure it was the middle of the day but she was not expecting a clinic of all things to have a door that was just so easily openable and without a soul sitting at the desk that she saw in front of her as she used the metal tip of her cane to close the door behind her. As she made the motion the cloak would get caught in the door and would slip off as it closed itself. With a deep sigh she realized this as the door only made a light noise as it closed behind her due to the buffet from the cloak's fabric. Her ears sprung up and her tail fell out from around her waist as she could not hide the bright ruby red of her coat anymore and she decided to just speak out loudly. "Hello is anyone here? Miss Yuna if you are here I have been sent here by a fellow companion of yours. A Miss Celes Chere was seeking one of knowledge of healing arts to assist you. Are you here?"As she spoke Monori used the end of her staff to pull the cloak toward herself as she stood there in the middle of the lobby for the clinic. Standing there after pulling the cloak to herself she would have her staff standing proud as she stood at her full height with no slouch of pressure or pretense. Instead she was ready to meet the one that was a healer for the people as that was something she respected. People who worked selflessly to help. (( Yuna ))

Monori could not help but feel bad as Celes stood and basically moved herself up beside Alex and herself. It seemed that the entire conversation had gone over her head and Monori could not blame her. The stories of Eorzea and its reflections were not something that could be explained to someone in just a brief conversation. AS Urianger would say it would require multiple hours, props, and other teaching implements. Though as she moved to take a more aggressive stance toward Alex she would listen to Celes just blast at him. It was something that she could not help but feel sorry for him about. Yet that feeling sorry for him ended rather fast as he opened up his mouth. She stood there letting him just hurl the insults and let Celes fire her own toward him as she once more felt as if she was back in the Zen Dojo or on the floor of the Forge. Listening to her friends go back and forth and argue about this or that. ”If I did not fall into despair while being in the depths of the final approach to Meteions NEst after watching all of the Scions give their lives to pave our path to her nest… I doubt that working to heal people that are injured and need the help will drain my resolve. If you truly are a reflection of me you have suffered as much as I. Lost as much as I have…”She sighed as Monori reached into her pack and sighed as she could not find what she was looking into. Turning back toward the pair she looked over at Celes and nodded toward her. “I am grateful to try and help others even if it is in a small place such as your clinic. Your kindness is a refreshing change and I hope that I can walk along with my hood off and let my tail actually be loose instead of hiding it from all the others here.” Taking another deep breath she turned to face Alex once more. Reaching up she pulled down the crystal of Azem off her staff and she held it in her tightened hand. ”You speak of a man’s character that I have not met and assume to influence my thoughts about him. Is that how we are to act should you actually be another holder of Azem’s crystal? We are to travel the world and experience everything that Emet Selch spoke of in Ultima Thule and more. We are not to allow ourselves to become so narrow minded that we would not be able to see others for who they are. I will someday meet this man if I had to guess and at that point I will create my opinion of him. Of you Sir Alex… You strike me as being rather petty and quick to fly off the handle. Be it in word or action. I am surprised you do not have a piece of yourself torn off by Y’shtola if this is how you would act around her…” Mentioning people and places and events casually she would hope would reinforce that she was not just some facsimile and instead she was a genuine article. There were many things that she wanted to just fly off and tell him off but it seemed that she was going to have to stay calm til later when she could grab her other crystal and jump around to calm her mind. The animosity between these two had come back in all its full fury as soon as she started to let things slide off her own back. All of the back and forth between them were certainly some tense exchanges and even tenser words. She certainly would keep it to herself though this time. More because the last time she had opened her mouth about something like this it seemed they both had turned on her naught but a few minutes earlier. Though Celes extended her hand and gave her name Monori reached out and shook Celes’s hand in a show of respect. Alongside the name she was given a small snippet of who she was on Zephon and it brought a nod from her. Then came the mention of Alexander’s name and she could not help her ear as it flicked up a little. “You are the one that the Au-Ra I ran into told me about. I guess I had nothing to worry about should I of actually stopped into the Rising Stones instead of just watched the entrances for the past few weeks… You can't blame a Miqo for being careful in a world that has never seen one of my kind before.”She let it slip that she had been surveilling the establishment for weeks now. Alex would at least have to appreciate the candor and caution that Monori took when going into situations. Though as Alex began to speak of another name she shrugged her shoulders. The name of the man about whom he spoke did not make any sense to her. “The Whorleater and the King of Crags were laid low in my adventures with myself and my family. The Zen took them down with help from Scions in those early days. Before we merged organizations and joined the Scions just before all the nastiness in Ul’dah happened before I headed to Ishgard. I figure something like that happened to you as well Alexander?”She let the words echo from her lips and lay out there in the air as Celes spoke about a test of some sort and she gave a smirk toward the woman. “A test is obviously required. You cannot take people's lives in vain and leave them to strangers and their words. I believe we both have suffered from taking someone's words for granted, have we not Alexander?” She spoke as she watched him move and take a seat on the table. Thankfully it seemed that the table handled his weight and it did not instantly collapse with his weight on it. Hearing about this other man she could not help but chuckle lightly. ”Despite your misgivings about him he does not sound like a man who will turn out like Ilberd. So I will give him the benefit of the doubt for now. Though after I see the clinic and take your test Ms. Chere I would not mind going to your Rising Stones Alexander. I would love to see just how close to Mor Dhona you have managed to get it. It is because I want to stay neutral and just heal people here. So please I do not wish to get in the midst of your squabbles.” Speaking as she knew full well that she was not going to join any organization for the time being. As for her it was going to be a headache should she join anyone in particular. Perhaps she could even work on mending some fences or at least making it so that the two of them do not kill one another on sight. Neutrality in moments like this come in handy. Monori’s rage could not be helped as every single thing that Alex said and did seemed to be purposely aimed at agitating her. Even through all of this she felt something nibbling at the back of her mind. There at the back of her mind were words spoken to her once years ago by a dearly departed family member. ”Monori, you need to learn to relax and not fly off the handle without thinking. You care too much about what others perceive you to be and instead of just listening to them just do what you wish. Ignore them and become greater…” The words coming out from the back of her mind echoed up as she closed her narrowed eyes. Taking in several long deep breaths as Alex spoke toward her. All of his words basically attempted to slam her and her views fell upon her deafened ears as she calmed herself down. She was drawn out of her thoughts by the sudden jamming of the brochure into her hands from the blonde woman. Exhaling another breath she opened her eyes and smiled, turning her attention to Celes. “Thank you miss. I apologize for my outburst. This shard truly is unique as it seems that it draws many different souls to it. It seems that it includes several that could even share the same soul and journey. It just seems that me and the man here have different perspectives of the same events.”As she spoke she turned and shifted her full weight so that she could spin the staff back onto her back. Slipping the Allag staff back in place upon her back and her body turned toward Celes she turned her head to look at Alex. ”You speak of places and people that I do hold dear to my heart. I do remember Gaia and Ryne and the adventures through Eden… I miss them both dearly just as I miss the dwarves of Tomra, the people of the Crystarium, and our good friend Feo Ul. The First Shard I miss with just as much as I miss my Free Company and those I used to share drinks with at the end of long days of adventuring. To me they were more a family then even the Scions were and since you and I share that then you know just how much the Scions would mean to me.”
“I just wish I could have told them that the Song of Oblivion had been stopped. That Zenos had been laid low before me but I never got the chance. As I had just finished hearing him draw his last breath when I was brought here.” She stopped speaking as she let out a sigh from her lips. There had to be some truth to what she was saying as it seemed that Alex and her were both Warriors of Light and yet neither of them knew of one another now had interacted in the least. So this was certainly not the first impression that she wished to give to someone that would have no clue as to what they all spoke about. ”I believe that we have gotten off on the wrong foot. Well I mean myself to the both of you. As it seems that you two do know one another let me introduce myself to you both so we can at least begin a more civil conversation then the outright brawl that was almost started. I am Monori Jhida, an adventurer that was turned savior of my world by circumstance and Hydalens Gift. I am a White Mage of Gridanian origin and have seen much bloodshed and shed much blood myself. From the sands of Ul'dah, to Carteneau, to Amarout and the very Moon against foe mighty and small. It is why I use the staff and use the healing arts now. As I believe all three of us have seen enough bloodshed in our lives…” She trailed off once more as she finished the introduction to the other two. This time not attempting to antagonize Alex nor Celes and instead shift things back to a much more neutral setting. She extended her gloved hand that held the crest of the White Mage upon its back toward Celes in a show of faith. (( Celes Chere , Alexander Sorel ))
