Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The black haired individual would introduce himself as Vincent and explain that he was in search of ammo. However, at this point it was almost certain that they wouldn't find what they sought in this underbelly, which was riddled with low quality products and swindlers, albeit those who weren't particularly succeeding in that endeavor. Stella would poke fun at how Keimusho was only just now bestowing the familiar a name. The name wasn't exactly inspiring either, he simply named the Anima a shorter version of the name of the katana that it was in, which was called the Enma-dachi. Enma would once again speak. "For shame indeed, milady. But better late than never, because from now on I will be known as Enma, the strongest of combat companions." The anima would proceed to flex its aetherial muscles. Mu would raise an eyebrow. "You... get bolder by the day don't you?" he comments. "Names aside, I do agree that there is very little of worth in this area. Which leads me to believe that this is one of the more tame black markets in this city. The deceit here is high, but nothing that poses any true danger," the ninja continues.

Keimusho supposed that it was a blessing that no one decided to attack the Anima and by extension him. Granted it if they tried to attack it nothing would happen to it, but he really did not wish to get caught in the crossfire. Especially by the black haired individual, he seemed to be a very capable individual. "I understand completely. This city already has its own sets of challenges on its own." Which is precisely why he didn't want the Anima coming out in the middle of the this city, let alone in the middle of a black market.
The woman accompanying his would proceed to speak. "There was no true harm done. If nothing else, it certainly caused all of those questionable salesmen to scatter!" It was a reminder of why he was there in the first place, but the investigation of this place seemed rather moot at this point with what has occurred so far. The women would then ask about the Anima and if it were some sort of messenger. "I wouldn't necessarily describe him as a messenger. They are more of a companion who occasionally gives their own message... sometimes at questionable times," the ninja responds. "I would describe myself as his... combat assistant," the Anima says. "You say that, but you... quite literally could not harm a fly," Keimusho responds to the spirit's remark. Though the Anima was correct because it was literally Keimusho's weapon, but that was not something that Keimusho wanted to announce to literally everyone he came across. He imagined that many people would be dying to get their hands on a weapon like that.
As the conversation progressed the woman introduced herself as Stella. "The pleasure is shared Stella, I am Mu and this is..." The ninja just realized that the Anima didn't have a real name. The weapon itself had a name, but not the Anima itself. The ninja didn't want to announce its name as Anima because that is what the being was, but it wasn't a real name. "Enma," the ninja said finishing his sentence. "Aw boss, you gave me a name?!" the newly named Enma said ecstatically. "Seven hells...," the ninja thought. It took much willpower for Mu to refrain from facepalming at that moment.

Great now there was commotion going on thanks to the Anima revealing itself. Unsurprisingly people started making it their goal to leave the area. A few of the shopkeepers would follow suit and decide to suddenly close. Though he was irked that the Anima decided to show itself randomly once again, the ninja was also frustrated that it had to be this way. The creature wasn't necessarily one that most people gravitated towards in his world (at least not the ones of the adventuring or scholarly type), but they wouldn't have been so alarmed to the point of fleeing.
Amidst the confusion he once again overheard the conversation of the two individuals whom declined the purchase of a love potion. The cloaked man inquired like many other on whether or not they saw "it". As expected the blond-haired woman would respond yes. In speculation she would point the Anima out as a spiritual being paired allied with "that man". Was it just a coincidence? Or did she see Keimusho through his Hide ability. If it were the latter then that was a huge eye opener for Keimusho. Keimusho realized that there was little to no point in speculating and due to this he decided to dispel the Hide ability.
Unfazed by the on pouring rain the ninja walked towards the two individuals discussing the matter. "Greetings," the ninja says while giving a bow. "I trust that you aren't too bothered by the slight commotio-"
"Yes the slight commotion," said the oni-like creature said as it appeared once more.

The ninja took glances at the other stalls to observe the illegal wares. In honesty, Keimusho didn't account for being unable to recognize a multitude of the items here. He never gave himself much chance to just sit and relax so he never really noticed how drastically the technology was from his world. One stand advertised bootleg cellphones. A cell phone? What in the seven hells was that?
He would proceed to look at other stands. His eye particularly drawn to the weapon stands. It was probably in his best interest to get his hands on another weapon eventually just on the off chance that it was needed. If he would ever try to get his hands on another weapon it couldn't be anything to bulky. Maybe daggers? He used them early on in his shinobi training, until he realized that short swords like a kodachi were even more effective in his arsenal. The kodachi he used had better range than the daggers that most shinobi in his world utilized. It also gave him the luxury of utilizing samurai abilities as well.
Taking more than a slight glance proved to be a mistake as the Anima in his weapon suddenly appears. "Don't you think of using another weapon," it announces to Keimusho. However, it was loud enough to be heard from others. Could the timing be any worse? He never accounted for the oni-like creature to decide to reveal himself while the ninja was using the hide ability. He also did not realize that this particular form would not be hidden as well considering that it was his weapon at its core. "Seven hells.. could you not just appear at any and every time you see fit?" he muttered to the Anima. Without a word it simply disappeared, but not without a few glances from bystanders. Confused and/or concerned as to why they saw a floating demon-like creature. Keimusho hoped that it didn't cause to much attention to be drawn near him, but luckily for him the predicament didn't cause the Hide ability to cease.

Keimusho needed a better understanding of what went on in Sonora. The extent of which he knew was just the influx of crime result of dragons occupying the guard, just the usual of what you'd hear by word of mouth. However, if he wanted to make any difference here he would need to know specifics. The shinobi would need to know what kind of crime happens here. He would need to know to layout of the city's streets. Though he knew that this would take time and that he could not stay here long. He did need to go back to Torensten and check up on Aldrich. In hindsight, it probably wasn't the best idea to leave an elderly man with amnesia to his own devices. However, the old man almost got killed a handful of time travelling with the ninja so it was probably for the best.
If there was anywhere that was a good start it was definitely this criminal underbelly. Though he entered with the expectation that he would not purchase any of the goods nor did he wish to be seen in here at all. To rectify this issue, he utilized Hide to become undetectable to the individuals in the underbelly.
He traversed the underbelly only to overhear one of the salesman trying to pitch a bizarre potion. "A love potion?... How in the hells would that work?" the shinobi thought. The love potion wasn't the only thing that the ninja found odd. There were other things that the merchants pitched that gave an equally fraudulent impression. Though it wasn't something that was worth dwelling on. He doubted that there was anyone dumb enough to fall for the scam, especially after two individuals in succession expressed disinterest in the product. Though he was sure that these potions were not the worse offenders when it came to what happens in this underbelly so he would traverse onward through the stalls.

It was only a matter of time, but the beast managed to break through the barrier. What followed was a series of shouts courtesy of the citizens now forced to run for their lives. The anima in Keimusho's kodachi showed itself once more. "Wow it actually broke through the barrier" the oni-like being said. However, Keimusho would say nothing, his priorities lied with the situation at hand.
Gunshots from Caius would come into contact with beast, with several entering the wound formed by the shuriken. The creature howled in pain, but still did not turn towards the duo. It was evident at this point that it was attempting to escape. The only problem was that in doing so it would harm the people of Torensten. Keimusho would form the Ten mudra sign once more and toss a second Fuma Shuriken, this time it would be directed towards the beast's leg. Another roar of pain would come from the creature and it would once more continue trying to move forward. Though it was unable to ignore its pain completely and it moved slower due to the freshly inflicted wound in its leg.
"Now our chance to catch up to it," he remarks to Caius as he runs towards the beast. He didn't wait for a response from Caius due to the severity of the situation. In addition, the shinobi also knew that Caius would have no trouble catching up to the beast by virtue of that ability that allows the mercenary to warp to places in quick order. To ensure that the ninja himself could catch up to the quarry ,he utilized Shukuchi to swiftly move towards the beast. Keimusho would jump on the back of the beast by using a car that the beast somehow didn't trample over as leverage.
Keimusho would draw his kodachi as he slashed repeatedly at the wound on the beast's back. His final attack would be the technique Hissatsu: Senei. Two red slashes would connect to the wound causing yet another howl. The beast would attempt to thwart the ninja from its pack and would launch Keimusho in the air with its attempt. The ninja would catch his footing and backflip in front of the beast. "Alright.. Stand in this if you dare!" He slams his palm to the ground creating a circle of corrupted earth in the ground.

"He might shoot the hostage if we startle him. We need to disarm him before he detects us.”
"I am not entirely sure of that. I find it peculiar that he would come all the way out, just to shoot her. The situation with the guard makes doing such without detection rather easy. But I do agree that disarming him is in our best interest." They wouldn't want him to shoot on an impulse now would they? "But fret not, being undetected is something that is a specialty of mine. You could say that it's something I have down to a science," Keimusho responds to Angeal. Well that was a given. It was the value associated the most with shinobi after all. What was a ninja if he was not stealthy? In fact, the ninja was certain that he could simply knock the man out and be done with it. However, the ninja felt that interrogation was in order, which is why Angeal's presence could be beneficial towards this situation. "I'll disarm him, if you'll subdue him," he whispered to Angeal. "Once the firearm is out of his possession, get ready to move in," he continues.
The ninja would make use of the Hide techinique, turning himself invisible. The Au Ra would proceed to slowly creep towards the armed individual in question. Because this area was far from clean, with each step Keimusho made, he would also ensure that his feet would not make contact with the trash surrounding them. Aluminum cans, crumbled newspapers, the butts of cigars, and potato chip bags were just some of the things he would avoid. With a puff of smoke the shinobi appeared next to the man who's eyes widened. "The hel-" Before the individual could process the situation, the shinobi kicked the musket from his grasp.

"There has been, um, an interesting turn of events. We were saving a special monster for the end, but it seems that circumstances have... Changed. The monster escaped its cage early. But regardless! The rules still apply! Whichever team can defeat the big bad will win HUGE POINTS!" Surely it wouldn't change the game plan too much right? Wrong. Keimusho looked at the gargantuan creature which towered over the entirety of the individuals in the area, including the other monsters. The pig shrugged Team A off like they were nothing and proceeded to charge towards Keimusho. The ninja managed to dodge the creature's attempt to ram him, but just barely. To his dismay the boar would not turn to attack the other combatants, but rather the remaining captive monsters. Those that did not flee instinctively were mowed down by the pig via its tusks or the stomping resulting from its tantrum. It rampage continues as it started to make its way towards the barrier. The monster would start to ram the barrier and after three hits, it would create a crack in it.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, the creature seems to be ramming at the barrier. It'll never get through tha-" The announcer pauses once the monster forms a crack in the barrier. Bewildered the announcer says in a soft-tone of voice, "Is it gonna break through the barrier?"
"By the Kami, how did they ever contain that thing? Hells and I just had to deal with a behemoth the other day." Keimusho says. Keimusho forms a single hand sign, Ten. In his hands appears a Fuma Shuriken. He didn't want to have to use ninjustu, but it would have been any moment before the creature broke through the barrier. As he tosses the projectile he says, "Change of plans Caius, it seems that I will be making use of ranged attacks after all."
The giant shuriken slashes at the creature's back, forming a gash in the split second of its existence. It harmed the beast, but it was not enough to distract it from its objective. It continued to ram at the barrier, creating more cracking it in.

Keimusho realized that it was a tad bit unreasonable to expect Angeal to ignore the Anima, It did have an appearance that was extremely difficult to ignore. Keimusho didn't find too much of an issue with this so he responds to the question by saying, "They're just a companion of mine. Their appearance can be rather intimidating for most so I'd prefer if they would not appear on a whim. Despite how he appears he quite literally cannot touch you or anyone for that matter. He couldn't harm a fly." Well that last part wasn't entirely true, the Anima weapon couldn't harm anyone as long as Keimusho wasn't swinging it. Keimusho omitted the part of it being an artificial soul inside of a weapon. He did not want to complicate matters for Angeal further. That was not to mention that Keimusho didn't have a complete understanding as to how it exactly worked and it wasn't like he could ask because the creator of the weapon was in his world.
The pair walked throughout the city blocks of Sonora, only seeing a handful of the city's guard along the way. Their walk gradually saw the appearance of less and less individuals going about their day. Eventually there were no people to be seen. The two made way to a seemingly abandoned park. That or at least it had no since of management as indicated by the absurd amounts of litter. The surrounding area was rather quiet, perhaps too quiet for the liking of the average individual. The silence soon breaks with an abrupt and thundering cry. "No, please!" were the contents of the bawling of what could be inferred to come from a female voice.
"I trust that I need not ask whether or not you heard that." Keimusho states. Keimusho tiptoes towards the sound, ensuring that he would not be detected. He peers behind a tree to witness two individuals: A bulky man wielding a musket in his left hand and a blond-haired woman.The former cornered the latter behind another tree. Keimusho signals Angeal to follow suit.

Keimusho would follow Caius outside of the tent. In the square, Keimusho simply closed his eyes and meditated as he awaited for the announcement for the competition's commencement. Surprisingly enough, the snarls of the caged beasts did not waver Keimusho's concentration.
There was little time to hesitate once the hunting festival commenced. Three wolf-like beasts would immediately set their sights on Team B. One of theses beasts in particular would eye down Keimusho. The beast would not hesitate in its attempt to attack the ninja as it immediately pounced towards the ninja. Keimusho rolled forward, gracefully dodging the beasts attack. That would be the moment the ninja decided to unsheathe their weapon. Keimusho swiftly turned around to strike at beast, giving it a single slash of his blade and a kick to boot. This would intensify the already present rage possessed by the beast, but not more so than what was going on very closely.
Caius would incapacitate one of the Fang's kin via a fire spell. Angered the Fang engaging with Mu looked back and forth between him and Caius. Surprisingly the beast would opt to attempt to attack Caius instead. "Mistake," Keimusho simply said. Saying no more, Keimusho would utilize the Enpi technique as he cut the air sending a blue slash attack towards the distracted wolf. As the Fang started charging towards Caius the projectile would connect with the beast, removing it from the equation.
This would prompt yet another announcement from the intercom.
"TEAM B SWIFTLY GARNERS UP ANOTHER SET OF POINTS JUST AS QUICKLY AS THE FIRST! WILL TEAM A BE ABLE TO MATCH TEAM B'S MOMENTUM?!"
