Caius had asked about quite a bit about Enma. He supposed that so long that this festival had been going on now was as good of a time as any. The mercenary did also comment that his dragon could not speak. "Oh he cannot speak? That's odd... the dragonkind of my world can speak and they have their own language from what I remember. I wonder what makes them so different from each other?" Though that question could apply to pretty much anything in this world and its inhabitants both domestic and foreign.
Proceeding to give the mercenary his best explanation the shinobi would unsheath his kodachi and place in on the table for the duration of his explanation. "I... am not entirely sure how Enma works. A being like him is a sort of anomaly in my world. Or rather a one of a kind being. To put it plainly, Enma is an artificial soul bound to this blade in a sense they are this blade. What I was told by the researcher who came up with the idea was that Enma is essentially an essence that is the reflection of the soul, an Anima."
"Ah boss stop with the praise your going to make me blush," Enma abruptly said. Was that because Mu referred to the Anima as a "one of a kind being"? Seven hells. Keimusho couldn't tell if Enma was joking or if he was actually stroking the Anima's ego.
Caius would give more detail of his past as well, explaining how he served his King in his world. Just like him Caius's purpose was taken from him.
“Point is… Whatever purpose you are looking for, you will find it. It took me a little while too. And some friends I met along the way.”
"Yes, you're right Caius. Thank you for the kind words," the ninja responds with a smile and bow. Taking a final sip of the glass the ninja pulls up his mask. "I suppose that I should get going. I'm sure that we will be meeting again soon enough Caius," the ninja said as he took his leave.

A sahagin would try its luck at getting a strike on the ninja from behind. Thankfully the anima was there to notify the ninja of the incoming attack. "From above boss!" Enma warned the shinobi. Heading the warning, the ninja sidesteps the attack. The unsuccessful sahagin plunges its spear into wooden deck. With the new granted opportunity, the ninja turned towards the Sahagin and would swing his kodachi towards the Sahagin's head with the horizontal slash, Smite. A red light engulfed the blade and upon connecting with the shelled beast caused a swift burst of red energy to engulf the Sahagin.
Not long after the deck would be surrounded by frogs with sailor hats on top of their hats. It could only be Toad. Suddenly the same creature that was previously regurgitating bile into the ocean started collecting all of the sailor frogs. In its endeavor, it tossed itself near Keimusho, barely missing the edge of the kodachi blade. The ninja was initially boggled by this unorthodox attack, but he soon realized that a number of the Sahagin would be knocked to the ground as the creature catapulted itself the save that frog. Not knowing what plans (or horrors) that the creature had in store for the sailors he had "saved", Keimusho assumed that it gave the rest of them the opportunity to continue focusing on the remainder of the Sahagin.
The ninja would also take advantage of the opportunity that the creature made by knocking down the Sahagin. The ninja weaved his hands to form the seals Jin, Ten, and Chi. Once the combination for Doton was realized he placed his hands on the floor creating a circle of corrupted earth around the Sahagin that Quina knocked down. It would be a slow and painful death for the Sahagin that were unfortunate enough to be caught up in Doton,

The storm made perceiving any incoming threats difficult for Au Ra, but at the very least his senses served him well enough to dodge one of the multitude of spears. Thankfully the torture to his horns courtesy of the torture of that creature's stomach has ended. Those were sounds that no mortal should be subjected to. The shinobi unsheathed his kodachi as soon as he realized that something was amiss.
What followed the spears were those who hurled them in the first place. They were shelled, reptilian creatures: Sahagin as indicated by the sailor captain. He'd heard of the similarly named beast tribe located in La Noscea, but the two races differed quite significantly from each other. But just like the Sahagin of his world, they were not friendly. They already took the life of one of the sailors after all, but he wouldn't allow them to take anymore.
With urgency, the ninja charged his attack as the kodachi glowed a blue light. Slashing towards the direction of nearby Sahagin, the attack sends multiple energy waves towards their vicinity. Five of the Sahagin before him would be met with the aetherial slash, Tenka Goken.
After Keimusho dispatched of those Sahagin, Enma would look over at another ongoing fight that being the creature that was just spewing bile towards the ocean not too long ago. "Sheesh! I imagine eating that is gonna make that guy vomit another tonze in the ocean," the anima commits. "Not now Enma, we have more pressing matters at hand," the Au Ra responds. The ninja couldn't care less if that creature happened to be eating those Sahigan, so long as it helped lower their numbers. They couldn't forget that they still had a Kraken to deal with. This was only the first obstacle for them to handle.

The situation was much to dire for the ninja not to volunteer his services. In his mind, if people were in need and if he were in a position to help them, then there was no reason not to do so. That was not to mention that the word had been sent in from King Hremit himself. That in itself showed how dire the situation was. It wasn't all that long ago that the very same King crowned he and Caius: Champions of the Hunt. Since then he embedded the medallion given to him by the King onto the sheath of the sword.
Keimusho was starting to realize that Torensten was always in some sort of bind or another. Besides the freak accident that he and Caius had to resolve at the Festival of the Hunt. He had heard a handful of rumors of some area in the city receiving a fair bit of destruction from time to time. But this was something else. This storm has been raging for over two entire weeks. This storm was sure to cause more gradual destruction to Torensten if not the entirety of Serentestra if left unchecked.
To deal with the severity of the situation, a number of ships have been sent to deal with two situation. Some to deal with a Kraken and another to find the source of the storm. At this point, slaying giant monsters was starting to become a science. First a Behemoth and then that tusked-monster that broke through the barrier during the festival. This kraken would be no different.
The Au Ra tried to think of the last time he was boarding a ship and he remembered the Ruby Sea and how The Confederacy extorted the Ruby Tithe out of all who traveled through there to either Kugane or Yanxia. He was sure that it fetched a chunk out of the pockets of those who traveled between those two places frequently.
The anima within Keimusho's weapon would materialize itself. The oni-like spirit materialized next to the ninja's head, arms crossed. "So we're going to go kill a giant squid, what are you going to do as we wait?" The artificial soul asked. "Perhaps clear my mind through meditation," the ninja responds when suddenly...
"BLLLLLAAARGH!"
"That... would be a challenge," the anima remarks. Keimusho couldn't help agree. This combined with the sounds of raging waves and sounding thunders made for a quite unshunnable combination.

"That's an interesting friend you've got there," Caius said as he look as he looked at Enma. "Interesting would be an understatement. You probably would've had the chance to meet Enma at our first meeting, if it were not for the fact that they were in a deep slumber until recently," Keimusho responds. The anima would shift its boastful flexing into a Far Eastern bow not unlike the one that Keimusho gives during greetings and goodbyes and while showing respect to people. There were definitely a lot of situations where one from Doma like Keimusho gave such bows, so it was no surprise that the Anima would be capable of mimicking his wielder. "Enma at your service. I am a one of a kind combat companion and Mu's closest aibou," the oni-like anima said.
After a while, the tone of the conversation shifted to one of professionalism. To put it plainly Caius wanted Keimusho to join the Dragonblades. The mercenary praised the ninja for not only his combative capabilities, but his willingness to defend innocents from harm. It wasn't too dissimilar to Mu's sentiments of the Dragonblades's leader. With the same offer came details of troubles that the mercenary guild would face. The Original Sin obviously was the one most expected, it was a name that he could not forget as they were a firsthand example of some of the horrid individuals that Serentestra housed. Caius would also make reference to the Lich that he helped dispatch, by saying that one dangerous individual in question was potentially more dangerous. Kuja... he would commit the name to memory.
"I know you prefer working alone, and if that's your style, so be it. I don't know what your path is, or where you intend for it to take you. But it seems to be taking you through a lot of people that we'd be more than happy to help you take down.If you're ever interested, the Dragonblades would love to have you." That was what struck the Au Ra the most. What was his path? The answer was never easy and it required a reflection of oneself to obtain it.
It has been a challenge for Keimusho to find a sense of purpose ever since coming to Zephon. It has not been easily on him to not only have not only lost a clan of the only ones he could consider kin, but to also lose his homeland just as it was reclaimed. That was not even mentioning the fact that his homeland could easily be overtaken again, because of death of the hero who paved the way for Doma's liberation. Keimusho looked back on his conversation with Alexander, which has notified him that those results have played out in differing ways in differing timelines. A lesser man would have easily have been broken due to these circumstances. But he also knew that he did not have the right to complain as a multitude of the individuals summoned to this world had lost just as much if not more.
"The offer touches me truly, Caius," the ninja said genuinely. "I will admit that I am no mercenary. I never done any sort of work with the intentions of filling my pockets. I've never had that luxury. Before I was sent here, I fought for a clan... nay I fought for the liberation of my entire homeland. And though we had succeeded in that endeavor, that war was far from its conclusion." Keimusho took a moment to drink from his cup. "And throughout those frustrations I am but left with one question. What is my purpose now? And as I asked myself that question, I have realized that just as I did in my homeland I fought without any intention of compensation."
The ninja turned his head to spot Aldrich. "That elder over there would be the prime example. By the Kami's grace I somehow managed to save him from some sort of black creature, only to find that he had lost his memories. Ever since, I have kept an eye on him and ensured that he had a place to live here in Torensten." The ninja sups the remainder of his drink. "To put it plainly, I am no mercenary. However, you can certainly consider me your ally. The word that Enma used earlier 'aibou' would be the best way to put it. It is a word in my culture that in simple terms mean 'friend' or 'partner'." The ninja holds up the medallion. "This is a testament that we can call each other aibou. Whether if its with the Original Sin or this Kuja individual that you speak of, if you'd have need of me I... no we shall lend my assistance," Keimusho says to refrain from excluding Enma.

The two other individuals would become more wary of the environment surrounding him. Keimusho eyed the area around them for a moment and he couldn't help but share their sentiments. What was once a fraudulent atmosphere shifted to one of unease to now one of potential hostility.
Offering a final witty remark, Enma says, "Well it's not my fault that some can handle the presence of a being of my caliber." Jokes aside, Enma's admittedly amusing antics did serve to almost distract from the fact that they were still in the middle of a criminal underbelly, but that didn't change that Keimusho's worries of the Anima showing up in public were not warranted. It definitely cased unwanted attention not just for the ninja, but for also for these two individuals. Keimusho wasn't too concerned with if a fight was provoked solely due to the fact that he had ways of ensuring their escape with little to no conflict. A simple smoke bomb could do the trick if the situation escalated to that point.
Both suggested that Mu would show them the way out on the impression that he was more familiar to the city than they. Mu didn't know the city like the palm of his hand obviously. But he was perfectly capable of leading the two of them out. "That should be a simple enough task. I'll gladly show you the way back," the Au Ra says. Without another word Enma would take a bow and disappeared from sight. As the ninja walked he turned to the duo and said "If you'd follow me." The ninja traversed back towards the direction from which he came.

The grand battle would come towards its end as Caius made use of the advantageous moment created by Mu's Hyoton. The mercenary unleashed an aerodynamic assault on the beast, slashing from every angle possible, courtesy of his ability to warp around. Once the mercenary mounted his dragon once more, the dragon would breathe a giant ball of flame that not only dealt a massive blow, but also formed a smokescreen not unlike those of which are made from Mu's smokebombs. This gave the Dragonblade the opening he needed to end the beast.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! THE RAMPAGING BEAST HAS BEEN SLAIN, AND THIS YEAR'S FESTIVAL OF THE HUNT HAS COME TO AN END! TEAM B KILLED THE BEAST, AND THUS HAS BEEN AWARDED 100 POINTS... THUS YOUR WINNERS... AND THIS SEASON'S CHAMPIONS OF THE HUNT... THE MYSTERIOUS MU, AND THE DRAGONGLAIVE CAIUS DRAGELION!"
The final announcement was an indication that the battle was indeed over. The townsfolk cheered. Many being grateful for still standing and others for being able to witness such a battle, at least in part. The fatigued mercenary hobbled his way to Mu after the dragon departed. The ninja had a grin on his face, but knowing that Caius could not have seen it through his mask, he would also give a nod of approval.
After time passed and repairs were commenced, both Caius and Keimusho would stand atop the podium. As the duo awaited the people of Torensten would begin to kneel before a group of men that stood out from the rest, with the man at the end appearing to be the most esteemed of them all. It was then that an individual pointed out via a whisper that it was Torensten's King Hremit. As suggested by the same individual, the shinobi would go down to a knee. It had not had been since the ninja met Lord Hien that he would have to show such respect.
The king croaked as he had to clear his throat. If Mu was a joking man, he's probably compare it to the sounds of Hellfrog Medium. "Caius. Mu. Torensten owes the both of you a debt of gratitude, one that will not be soon forgotten. You have fought with valor, passion and honor beyond the call of duty. I would gladly swear the both of you to my service in a heartbeat, though neither of you seem the type," said the king. Mu was glad that the king said that, because it saved them from the burden of declining an offer from a king. King Hremit turned toward the people of Torensten and states, "Ladies and gentlemen, I GIVE YOU... YOUR CHAMPIONS OF THE HUNT! CAIUS AND MU!" What followed was a standing ovation for Caius and Mu. Never before had Keimusho had so many eyes on him. Never had he been giving so much praise. It stands to reason as to why though, he was a shinobi and they had to work with discretion. But now it was different. Because of this the people would recognize the name Mu, at least for a while.
King Hremit would proceed to present the both of them with a medallion with a wolf's insignia on it. The king slipped the medallion of Caius's head and the ninja would lower his head the same to receive the medallion. Keimusho typically would decline such a thing. He didn't particularly care for working for his own gain. He always acted out of a sense of duty whether it was for Doma or simply an stranger in danger. However, he decided to accept it for two reasons. The first was because he respected tradition and did not wish to offend the people that resided here. The second reason was more selfish. For Keimusho the medallion was proof that he was fulfilling some sort of purpose in Zephon. A purpose of which he believed was why the Kami sent him here.
The duos efforts would also yield them monetary gains as noted by the king. The ninja was glad, not so that he'd use the gil for his own comfort, but because it was for the benefit of the elderly Aldrich. When the awarding of the medallions commenced the king turned towards the people and declared, "With that... LET THE HUNTING FEAST COMMENCE!"
Whenever he got the chance Keimusho found Aldrich amongst the crowd. Like Caius the ninja was not interested in partying ;however, the food was a different story. Keimusho was rather spent after the battle and food was quite literally a solution for it. After all food not served the stomach, but also severed to the replenish the body of aether lost through exertion. Keimusho ate enough to satisfy himself and would stash some food for later.
Keimusho eventually took a seat away from prying eyes, which was when Caius approached him and would pour him a drink. "Your skills are just as sharp as ever," said the mercenary. "Yours as well," the ninja responds to the Dragonblade's leader. "The ninja would pull down the mask", revealing the Au Ra's scaled face. "I suppose this would be the first time you've seen my face," the ninja comments before he sups of the drink. "I must say that I certainly didn't expect for Vordun to show up that was quite the clever way to signal for him," the ninja says referring to the flare. It wasn't to dissimilar to a tactic that shinobi used to signal each other if they were not in a position to communicate verbally, which was why Keimusho was so intrigued by it.
"Yeah we took down those beasts no problem. Roughed them up we sure did," said a voice. Keimusho turned his head to find that the oni-like Anima appeared next to Mu's head flexing its aetherial muscles. "We sure did, Enma. Good work," he said to the Anima while giving a small chuckle. Keimusho was glad that he choose now to appear, who knows what might have happened if he choose to do so in front of so many other people or even worse in front of King Hremit. Most probably would not take kindly to what appeared to be a demon suddenly appearing.

Doton had the affect on the beast that Keimusho hoped for: stopping it in its tracks. The beast roared and clawed as it felt heavier due to the effects the corrupted earth had on it. Though it became imminent that the beast still had fight left in it as it claws approached the ninja. Initially the beast slashed at the Au Ra with its right claw, which was an attack the ninja dodged by backstepping. A second attack soon followed as the tusked-monster clawed at Mu in a horizontal attempt to maul the ninja with its left claw. This attempt of aggression towards the shinobi also proved futile as this strike would also be eluded. This time via narrowly ducking the beasts large claw. This pseudo game of tag between the beast and the ninja soon reached its end with the beast third attack towards Keimusho, but Keimusho was prepared for this as he knew that Doton would soon fade.
Bracing himself for the beast's attack Keimusho activated Shade Shift as he spun thrice to generate shadowy winds that would shield him. As this was done Doton dissipated and the beast regained its speed as it struck Keimusho sending the Au Ra flying upwards. Being bereft of damage the ninja caught himself whilst airborne. As he descended unto the ground the ninja looked towards the sky to see a winged creature. As it grew closure he realized that it was none other than a dragon being ridden by none other than the leader of the Dragonblades himself, which meant that this was the same dragon that was with the mercenary when the ninja initially met him. The dragon rammed into the beast, allowing Caius the opportunity the slice off one of its tusks. The ninja saw it fit to back up the duo by binding the beast once more, albeit in a different matter. The ninja brought his hands together to form the hand seal Chi followed by the hand seal Jin, which brought the combination necessary to cast Hyoton. The ninja would proceed to exhale heavily creating chilling winds that would freeze the beast in place.

As expected Angeal would take down the individual after Mu knocked the gun out of his hand. A single strike to the gut from Angeal was enough to come towards the intended result. After the blow was inflicted, Angeal would pin him against a tree, preventing any movement from the large man. Without a word, he signaled towards Mu to start questioning the individual, something of which he would oblige. The ninja would lock eyes with the individual in question with a cold-eyed stare. What was added to this individual's pain and heavy breathing was a hint of trepidation.
"Would you like to explain why you felt the need to corner this woman as you did?" the ninja asks. As he finally managed to catch his breath, the subdued man mutters, "W-why would I tell you? It's none of your business." The ninja raises an eyebrow. "You are not in a position to refuse. You DO realize that do you not?" the ninja responds.
Suddenly the burly man started visibly hyperventilating and said, "Ok! Ok! She owes me money that's why.""Money for what exactly?" the ninja asks. "A gun. From the black market," he responds. "From a black market?... Is this true?" Keimusho asks as he turns towards the previously cornered woman. "Y-yes. It was protect my family. But the gun wasn't functioning properly so I never paid," she responds. "I never said that the gun worked now did I?!" the burly man barked as he momentarily forgot the situation he was in.
The gun didn't work? Was this some kind of scam then? That was low, even for black market standards. But then again Keimusho supposed that it took all sorts of criminals to operate such a place: those that are violent and those that swindle. The ninja looked towards Angeal, curious on his thoughts on the matter.
