This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.

In addition to finding the multitude of journals in the Lady's Bedroom. He also found another potential clue in the closet, a list of passwords and a particular note that read ’Tiger’s eyes behind piano strings. Blue library.’ He decided to take the note with him before leaving the closet. Before checking this clue he regrouped with the others. After all it was best to regroup now and then to relay the information that was found.
Once Keimusho joins the others he opens his mouth to relay the information he found. "I-"
"We..," Enma says abruptly interrupting Mu. The shinobi would usually have sighed, but just barely managed to refrained from doing so. "Yes... We... managed to find some potential clues. I found this note that reads ’Tiger’s eyes behind piano strings. Blue library.’" He held to note out for those who wanted to read it for themselves. "I also found some journals in the Lady's Bedroom signed by one Susan Stein. There are much too many of those journals to take the time to read, given the circumstance. However, two things in those journals that caught my attention was the mention of a so called time mage and the effects of magic on the body. Does anyone have any knowledge on what exactly a time mage is or if it is even relevant to this investigation?"

The shinobi could only watch as the sailors fell towards the Kraken's mouth. When he initially saw the sailors slide towards the Kraken, Keimusho used Arm's Length stop himself from sliding as well, only to realize that the barrier he creating was doing nothing to stop it. That was when he realized that this was not the work of some sort of magic from the Kraken, but rather that the Kraken was tilting the boat. No wonder that it did nothing to stop it. Seven hells.
Well if he couldn't stop himself from sliding then they would just have to kill the damned thing before it ended up making them a meal. Speaking of which.. "Chew on this!" Enma shouts as Mu starts weaving signs to cast his most powerful fire ninjutsu. The first was Kassatsu, following by Chi and Ten. The ninja casts the resulting ninjutsu, Goka Mekkyaku by exhaling the giant conglomerate of flames toward the Kraken's maw.

Keimusho flipped through the journals to skim through them. There was too much to read all at once, but with the limited time that they did have he could safety come to a conclusion of what they entailed. "Hmm these seems to be magical experiments of some sorts and... what is this of a time mage?" he mumbled to himself. He certainly wasn't familiar with a mage of this type. The Au Ra figured that it would be best if he asked the other's about it. Maybe one of them knew what a time mage was. If not then there was at least one person who did judging by the signature on the journals: Susan Stein. Before leaving to regroup he headed towards the room closest, the closet.

Keimusho pants as he manages to power the crystal. He could only watch as Rem was caught up in the whirlwind of her own making and as the frog eating monster was sent flying by the kraken. There was nothing that could've been done for them. That only left 3 warriors capable of facing the Kraken or maybe 2 and a half if taking the ninja's fatigue into account. Though the shinobi would keep his composure. After all, this situation was guaranteed to be dangerous. Fatigue and maybe a few casualties was to be expected. It was the reality of the situation.
Turning his attention from the crystal to the nearest tentacle, the ninja weaves the hand signs Ten, Chi, and Jin. Placing his hand on the ground creates the Suiton geyser to attack the tentacle. Not bothering to try and run towards the tentacle. He utilizes Shukuchi to teleport in front of the limb and proceeds to stab it with Trick Attack. Stabbing the limb creates a light blue burst of energy. The ninja figured that if his attacks were going to come a little slower then he would simply have the Kraken take more damage from the others for the time being.

The Au Ra stepped out of the ballroom balcony in order to search the bedrooms as he suggested earlier. He initially contemplated on which side of the floor to search first, until he saw Lycoris head towards the bathroom. In order not to stray to far from the others he headed towards the East Wing Hallway in order to make his way to the Lady's Bedroom.
As he opened the bedroom Enma asks, "Anything that I can do boss?" That prompted a question, what was it that Enma could do in this case? As harsh as it sounds, he was simply a glorified weapon that could talk. However, the anima's aetherial form did prompt an idea. "Enma could you phase through the objects in this room?" the shinobi asked. It only made sense since that form was intangible, but he never as the shinobi mostly found himself in combat situations, he'd never though of utilizing him in such a manor. "No problemo," the anima responded. "Perfect. This could speed up the investigation process. Help me look through the room. Prioritize looking through small spaces and objects such as any boxes. Notify me of anything you see," he instructs. The ninja, hoping that Enma would look in locations that weren't so obvious, searched through the more conventional locations in the room such as the drawers.

“Are there any police here we could take him to? If he’s willing to kill over a bad sale, something tells me he doesn’t need to be on the streets.” Angel asked Mu. "The best that we could do is hand them over to Sonoran authorities. I'm not sure how long they would keep him in custody but I am sure that the experience would be enough to make him think twice on pulling a stunt such as this a second time," the Au Ra responds.
"That aside I have more of a concern on that black market he mentioned," he continue. The shinobi turned towards the musket that he kicked out of the captive's hand. It definitely was the real deal unlike the fake that he tried selling to the woman. "I think that I should investigate this black market of his. I trust that you can get him to the authorities?" he asked Angeal. He turned to the woman. "Since you live here. You should be more versed on where everything is than I. Would you kindly guide him on where to go?" The woman silently nodded. He handed to gun over to the woman. "Here. Use it only to defend yourself," he emphasized.
"You can't do that!" The captive yelled out. The shinobi gave him a cold stare. "...You have a problem with that?" he responds. There was no response given. The individual simply lowered his head in silence. It seemed that he realized the position that he was in and that there was no way that he'd get that gun back, not that he'd need it where he's going.
"I suppose that I should get a move on. Good luck on your future endeavors Angeal," the shinobi says, "Peace!" the Au Ra's anima companion says before the two vanish with a puff of smoke.

It was imperative that they figure out how to activate the crystal. "I'm afraid that I have not a clue of how this crystal works. And if I'm not mistaken none of us left are mages. Otherwise someone would have already activated the damned thing." The was shaping up the be a horrible situation. The storm was raging intensely. Rains were heavy, the winds were sharp, and the thunders roared. "Something has to be done about this storm. the last this we need is to face this Kraken while this storm rages on. This is only a hunch, but perhaps we could somehow activate this thing if we channel our energies through it." The Au Ra did not like relying on gut feelings, but they were grasping at straws at this point. And then it appeared. First, the ship rocked heavily. Then, tentacles pierced through the ship decks. "One giant squid incoming!" Enma yells. "Seven hells. Perfect timing." If it wasn't obvious earlier they truly had no time to exhaust other options. "By the Kami please let this work," the ninja said as he started pouring some of his aether into the crystal.

The two men forced the ballroom balcony doors open. "Good thinking. Busting the door open has saved us the time trying to search for a key," the Au Ra says. There was no telling how scarce the time they had truly was. There was no telling what could be happening to the two missing guests or if the murderer was planning to commit another in his wake. Inside of the balcony was evidence of a likely skirmish. "Sheesh something definitely went down in here!" Enma blurts out as soon as the Anima saw what was behind the doors. Blood and glass shards were scattered across the floor. It made the fact that the room was locked ever more suspicious. The woman would voice her suspicions of the butler or at least the butler's earlier statement. "Much can happen in fifteen minutes, though it is completely plausible that he did indeed lie about what occured. This alone however, isn't enough to go on. I'd suggest we investigate the remaining rooms on the floor. Perhaps the bedrooms would be a good start?"

Seven hells. The ninja came to this manor to potentially learn more about his circumstances and now his mind was foggy. In addition, the count that invited him here was murdered and two of the guest went missing. His initial thought was that it may have been the missing guests, but eliminated that possibility when he heard the names. The names Faris was completely foreign, but if he recalled correctly then Celes was the name of the Dragonblade's co-leader. That only left the manor's butler, maid, and gardener. Or the remaining guests.
"Enma do you by chance remember what occured?" Keimusho asks the Anima. "I'm afraid not boss. My mind is just as cloudy as yours but I do have this incy wincy feeling that monsters are involved somehow," Enma responds. It was not enough to go off of.
"There may be something in the air. There might be a device of sorts that has spread a gas. A scent, or... something," the brown haired woman said. "I would have to disagree with that," the shinobi says gesturing towards Enma. "If his memory is as muddled as ours then a gas wouldn't have caused it," the ninja says. Enma lacked a tangible body so he doubted that a gas would have any affect on him.
"I speculate that this is more likely some sort of magic that caused it. Either way we will have to remain cautious... and we won't be finding out the truth anytime soon if we dawdle for too long," Mu says.

The combined efforts of the crew would see the Sahagin to begin to abandon their attack. That would be one less thing to worry about. Perhaps that that had earned them some time for the Toad spell to wear of the sailors. Though their problems would be far from over as made evident through the ship rocking towards the side. This would be followed by the sailors who were not turned into frogs discussing the crystal abandoned by the mages who are currently unable to use it. One remaining Sahagin would try to skewer the crystal only to be met with a barrage of needles courtesy of the creature who gathered the sailors.
Remembering what Caius told the creatur, Keimusho would not be one to ignore that warning sign. He just ate a Sahagin and is apparently intent on eating the sailors, there was no telling what else it could or would eat. Without wasting any time the ninja would utilize Shukuchi to teleport directly behind the unnaturally gluttonous being. Seven hells was he licking it? "Do not eat that," the ninja said emphatically. "Lest you want that to be the last thing you eat." It sounded harsh, but that was the best way to get the message across. The last thing they needed was for their problems to be added onto because of this creature.
