"The Monster Summoner"
"So now I'm...The Saviour?"
"Oh you're very welcome~ But you know...there's one more thing you need to help your heart 'blossom'. I will give it you, as a reward; once we gather the herbs, okay~?" Lumina smiled widely, a hint of mischief laced with sincerity in those eyes of hers. This didn't fade at the notion of violence, as she shot a glance to the Storm Dragon. He seemed quite eager to prove his worth, since Cuore was relying on him. After all, how hard could it be?
That was when the duo was caught off guard. The swirl of energy and the manifestation of a summon, Fenrir came forth. He was quite protective and it made Lumina feel some sentiment akin to 'aww'. The Storm Dragon was more neutral, standing ground but not provoking attack. Once Fenrir calmed, he would too. He snorted some steam from his nostrils and then began to look around.
"Ah yes~ Very easy to spot. So, if we were to see more of them... say, over there, we'd be on the right track to the herbs~?" to which as if true to form, she pointed about south east, where in the distance the creatures were scampering behind trees as cover. The Dragon was bad enough, now with Fenrir about, they needed to exercise caution, whilst defending their territory. Well, more specifically, their food source.
"We'll take to the skies, see if this is the right direction and take out some creatures on the way. I trust you two can handle the ones over there?" Lumina asked, only taking a moment to wait for a response, before then glowing with shadow and light, before the Storm Dragon began to flap its wings and rise above the canopy. A discharge of lightning would scare off other creatures that lurked, causing various avian creatures to fly up high and away. Admittedly, it'd likely also draw out the more dangerous monsters if they could sense strong magic but well...that was fun~!

"A Moment of Clarity"
"I can't put my finger on it..."
Lumina and Claire had been at odds ever since their first meeting when Serah returned to Torensten with "Little Light" in tow. Lumina was shocked at first, seeing Claire and not Lightning, she looked exactly as she remembered before their heart split. She was different because she had avoided the catalyst that formed Lightning. In turn, Lumina who was stressed and heartbroken from the disappearance of Zell, had been very moody. Even her zeal for business and money, something she'd adopted due to being in Zephon, was run by her staff.
Whenever she was at home, an admittedly nice small home in the residential district, not far from the coast; she just sighed listlessly. It would seem that slowly, she truly was becoming the very 'Saviour' she had mocked. Her penchant for mischief seemed to fade completely and it was too awkward to speak with Claire most days. When she did, she largely got angry, just like Lightning would. Then there was Serah, try as she might to be fine, the façade fell flat.
Perhaps it was for the best that Lumina with all her chaos, was actually behaving, easily tracked and relatively contained within Torensten. There were a few times where Lumina was mistaken for Claire. This occurred because unless Lumina actively chose to portray herself a bit younger, she looked exactly the same as Claire. She could not make herself older like she once was. Lumina's theory was that she was tied by some force to Claire's summoned state. Were Claire her ordinary age, she could then present the same.
Regarding the cases of mistaken identity, once or twice, Lumina was a bit out of it, a teacher from the University had caught up to her in different parts of Torensten, wondering why she wasn't at school. How could she explain that she was at least five centuries old, a business woman and busy? In the end, she explained she was Claire's twin sister and that...helped. A new problem then came up with this cover story of being identical twins. Claire had convinced Lumina to take her place in school a couple times. So who knows where her other self went to on those days.
"Maybe I should go to the house in Provo instead...?" Lumina admitted today and rather suddenly while checking over shipments.

"The Monster Summoner"
"So now I'm...The Saviour?"
Lumina nodded her head, enthusiastically, quite a few times to further home her expertise. Monsters weren't the only creatures who spoke to her on such a natural, instinctive level. Forces that were above the natural order, beings of death were also easy to speak with. Of course, just because she could potentially speak with things out of the norm, doesn't mean they always wanted to 'get along'.
A reminder that this was Zephon and that Monsters not under the dark call of Chaos, were likely to give some trouble. Likely, even calling it 'some trouble', was Lumina downplaying it in her mind. A clash of confidence and ego, she really was Claire Farron in instances like this. Such was what it meant to have an origin, to be formed from part of someone else, for a purpose. In Zephon that purpose was unnecessary but she could relate to the existential woes well enough. The lack of heart, well Lumina pondered on it and came up with an answer that wouldn't surprise Cuore.
"Hearts aren't difficult to acquire. They will form in absence, it just needs time." she began, providing some insightful remarks without it being a riddle laced in half-truths. "Ah but you do have to nurture it. See how that smile came forth? With the right friends, your heart will blossom." now the same couldn't be said pertaining to the herbs.
For those it'd require diligence, a keen eye and getting their hands dirty; (figuratively and in all likelihood, literally). "Though I'd hate to come to blows...fighting isn't my thing, you see~ Fortunately, we have my good friend, isn't that right, Storm Dragon?" to which the majestic beast nodded it's head assertively. If the Monsters were drawn to the herbs, he'd be sure to give them a good... 'talking' (roaring at). As for Lumina, she placed her left hand perpendicularly atop her brows, attempting to gaze out in different directions to see where they'd be heading to. First sign of danger, she'd be safe...courtesy of riding atop her friend's back.

"The Monster Summoner"
"So now I'm...The Saviour?"
"Goblins and Minflayers, mmm...that is up my alley." Lumina admitted, a slight nod as she pondered in an exaggerated motion. She looked like a miniature, gothic detective...that had her clothes damaged. Sea blue irises noticed Cuore flinch and remained upon her person after the inquisition concerning her body language. The pink haired summoner retained her calm disposition and noted everything told, clearly with some unspoken confidence.
"That's quite alright." Lumina insisted, her voice seemed chipper, her body language displayed understanding. Briefly, she glanced to the Storm Daragon, who nodded before their gazes returned to Cuore. "Although I'm based upon a real person, embodying her memories, a fraction of her heart..." Lumina looked up, gazing into the treeline. Her shoulders were a bit stiff, a mix of resolution and sadness melded into one.
"...I'm not exactly organic, either. Not physically at least. So, no worries; okay? I accept you." naturally, the Storm Dragon nodded his head, somewhat awkwardly given his size and frame. What mattered, now that this level of kinship was established, was the objective. Placing her right hand parallel to her forehead, she bent forward, attempting to peer out into the distance.
"So these herbs, would they be in a clearing or do they grow beneath larger trees. Some smaller plants prefer the shade, if I'm remembering my lessons right." reminiscing on her past so casually, without a greater purpose was liberating. Zephon wasn't the world she came from. Here at least, she could just live. Her damaged clothes a testament to living a bit too much. Someone was going to be the fall guy for the mansion incident, Lumina just knew it.

"The Monster Summoner"
"So now I'm...The Saviour?"
Lumina listened and observed, giving a prompt nod after confirmation of dangerous beasts around here. Though there was a knowing twinkle in her eyes, a glint that implied there was more to Miss Saviour than meets the eye. For true enough, when the herbs were explained and the perils around it, Lumina shook her head. "Don't worry about the Monsters, it's not just strength that I have." to which she looked to her partner in what quite possibly may be deemed an actual crime in Provo soon.
As for why Lumina wasn't worried about the monsters? It all had to do with their shared evocation. Cuore as she had introduced herself, was a summoner. In turn she inquired if Lumina was a summoner as well. "Yup." Lumina replied straight to the point, with a cute sing-song enunciation. "I am a summoner, however my specialty is with what people call...Monsters. For example, this Divine creature as you eloquently put it, would be considered a Monster elsewhere. Therefore, when I give you a ride later, I'll drop you off further away for the village, just to prevent misunderstandings."
Lumina didn't even like referring to monsters as such, they were children of chaos, her friends. Regardless, she did have her own musings and observations of Cuore as well. For one, while Lumina portrayed child-like body movement and body language, Cuore was...more machine or super soldier. Very practiced, concise, in essence...inhuman. Why was that, given her age, she wouldn't have the time to be so developed. She could understand certain actions, particularly martial ones or when they gather herbs, her picking being refined. This state of affairs, was vexing and so Lumina had to speak upon the matter.
"By the way, I have a question of my own~" Lumina began, her right index finger brought up and wagging in her knowing fashion. "I've noticed the way you move, doesn't fit your age. Plus, you're a summoner, so why are your movements more like a soldier or machine?" with the inquiry out there, it was important to note Lumina didn't appear perturbed by it. Others would be or at least in a state of awe. Lumina just seemed playful and curious, like a cat.
Shortly after the inquiry, the Storm Dragon also focused its attention upon Cuore and seemed interested. When even the Storm Dragon had a more 'human' expression, something was definitely up. It was just proof of how easily Lumina could bond and understand her 'friends'. The two didn't have to whisper anything to convey their feelings upon this shared matter. Though, if Cuore looked carefully as Lumina went about, she'd note the Storm Dragon was quite pleased, with an air of confidence. Though more comically boastful and thus not taking it too seriously.

"The Great Escape"
"That was...way too Lightning of me."
Never in her wildest dreams did she think she'd be called a Savior. Whilst her Dragon companion greeted the girl in kind, a look of pride along it's maw. Lumina crossed her hands over her chest, tilting her hips to lean her weight along her left side. "Hopefully this place isn't more dangerous than where we came from." Lumina admitted, using her right hand to gesture to herself, since it was mentioned that she was charred.
Taking some time to look around at her own level, she really didn't recognize this place at all. It might take her quite a bit of time to navigate the skies back to Provo at this rate. A faint frown played on her lips and now, she really felt like Lightning. "I'm stronger than I look and not too damaged. I could help you gather those herbs, if you'd like?" Lumina could use a win in the helping department right now. Sure, she did help the party attendants towards the end. Yet that one was dangerously close to her chaotic habit of not actually helping, while 'helping'. This time, with the help from this proud child that arched its back, Lumina would do differently. She'd be different at that, first by taking in an obvious point of contention.
She didn't know this girl's name. Her mannerisms seemed good and most surprising of all? This girl wasn't afraid of her friend. Thus, she looked to the Dragon and for a moment it seemed as if they were communicating silently. Oh sure, the Dragon huffed here and there, implying speech, after a fashion. "I almost forgot, my friend is willing to offer you a ride when you're done but... He and I, would like to know your name."

"Mystery"
"Something's not quite right, I sense foul play..."
Lumina had been quite busy ever since Serah had gone back to check on Lightning. Honestly? At first, Lumina begrudgingly thought Lightning was fine. A small part of her worried but she worried because something was off just before arriving in Torrensten. In the days since, she had momentarily reverted to her younger appearance, as if she was back on the dying Nova anew. Eventually, Lumina regained some control over her power of Chaos. She had returned to Provo but didn't check in on her house, so as to avoid Lightning only to end up in a Murder Mystery! Then she ended up who knows where after making a daring escape from the mansion. Once Lumina felt it was safe, she returned to Torrensten anew. There was some longer term contracts to negotiate and she knew Serah would head here eventually when the time came.
What Lumina hadn't expected, was that Lightning wasn't the same old, broody 'sis' that she was familiar with. The good news is, Serah would have an easy time finding Lumina. Being in the market, Lumina was haggling for different goods to sell in Provo. She'd recognize Lumina's crew members, even as Lumina was in her usual pre-teen form. "No, no, no. You have to factor in my costs to go form here to Provo. That's way too much." Lumina stated to the merchant, clearly haggling like a pro. Her usual outfit was in ruins so Lumina was wearing something similar to the Female Guardian Corps Unfiorm.
Given the size of the market, it was easy to get lost here in Torrensten if one wasn't a veteran. Lumina had gotten lost plenty of times in the past. Those mistakes only made her stronger today, even as past events began to flow anew. It all started rather innocently, for once she was found, she'd opt to separate from the crew. Taking Serah around the market should have been a fun and stress free experience. She'd revert to her older form for convenience when dealing with certain vendors. (Can a 500+ year old get a little respect, honestly!) The first omen of trouble came when a vendor four stalls down yelled "Thief". The Farron sisters weren't going to let someone just get robbed in broad daylight. It was instinct to go chase after this deviant.
The second omen, was coming to a crossroad, where fate would deem an unexpected encounter. From the back, Lumina looked almost indistinguishable from Lightning. Sure the hair style was a bit more like Serah and yes, she was a bit shorter than Lightning's full height as an adult. However the uniform, the laissez faire posture, as if being cool just came oh so naturally. The perfect concoction for mistaken identities was in order.

"Mystery"
"Something's not quite right, I sense foul play..."
Talk about a sudden brain blast, her breakthrough of this wretched amnesia hit her the moment she arrived at the scene of the crime. Well, at the very least where she had been taken to. Kidnapped, she couldn't believe it but it didn't take long to surmise how. She'd been scoping things out, preparing for this event; a business woman should come dressed for the occasion after all. She'd prepared quite the gown too. Having been kidnapped, it explained why she wasn't wearing it. Mystery...solved, right? Not quite.
There seemed to be others and once she'd gotten close enough, a lady with a metal pipe had called out to her, as well as a man. One she didn't recognize but given how she looked like Claire, he'd possibly recognize her. As for the lady, she volunteered Lumina to help. Brave, perhaps...foolish, most definitely but obviously, she was desperate. "We don't have much time and I doubt either of your strength is enough. Please search the area for evidence instead, a friend will help with these pods." Lumina stated rather calmly, before grasping her head.
Wincing a bit, as her memories were flashing before her mind, she soon moved her hand away from her head and upwards. A flash of light and darkness as she summoned a Cyclops. With its mighty club and upper body strength, it'd be able to break open the remaining containers. The Cyclops would be dismissed after as Lumina left to retrace her steps a bit. She'd recalled a room to her left when she entered and that's where she'd went, the files room. Quite frankly, she'd just retrieve whatever she could and stuff them...in Tonberry's conveniently large burlap sack. It's not like a lithe little thing like her could carry everything, that's just sloppy detective work! Once she did her sweep, best she could and had to hope Vincent caught the scientist, she'd be back where there was some life.
"Do you all need a lift out of here? If so, gather round." for the trickster's final act; Teleportation. Though bringing so many people, the best she could hope for was somewhere on the property, away from the mansion. They could figure it out from there, while she got out of Provo for awhile.

"The Great Escape"
"That was...way too Lightning of me."
Every story had its beginning, a prequel before a fated encounter. Lumina's began amidst flames and murder. The only thing in her mind being to preserve evidence. That the reputation of Outlanders was sure to tank, oh and that she better not return to her home in Provo. Not like this... Clothes tattered, burnt really. Exposed flesh covered in ash, not the most lady like presentation to be sure. Not that anyone would be paying attention to her appearance, yet alone demeanour. For Lumina was in good company, great company, a Storm Dragon.
Flying above the tree tops, Lumina had lost track of time completely. High above it all, the problems of the mortal realm below, mattered little. Her secret weapon, the best of friends and the reason Sky pirates didn't mess with her airship trading. Part of her wondered if this was a bit... excessive? Well, given what she was running away from, desperate times called for desperate measures, surely!? Though she had a nagging feeling that she'd pull a Lightning and wondered what was wrong with herself. Even before the invitation to the mansion, she'd been a bit moody. Probably just a coincidence, just as it was a coincidence that she saw a young girl through gaps in the treetops. Surrounded by colourful monsters...wait, huh?!
"I...better take a look." Lumina said, gently stroking the dragons head before indicating where to go. A slow descent, followed by a mighty roar. Surely, that would send the right message to these Monsters. This was an apex predator from a different territory completely. Just the flap of its wings could send light gusts. To that end, she'd have to be careful and admittedly, now that she was a bit closer. The girl seemed to be holding her own or at least appeared competent. That said, since it was the right thing to do, "...Sorry about this. Thought you needed some help. My name is Lumina."

"Mystery"
"Something's not quite right, I sense foul play..."
Time, it was of the essence and whilst the pep talk was brief; Lumina didn't have time to wait for a reply. She saw the descending stair case and immediately rushed on down. Running like this had reminded her of simpler days, where she and Serah would run about carefree. Well, now wasn't the time to be carefree. Wherever this lead, she hoped it would allow her to capture the mad woman. Maybe even find some hidden evidence. Something to make this nightmare worthwhile, to prove the innocence of all off-worlders.
Otherwise, they'd be railroaded for the death of the estate's owner. Another crime added to their names, more scorn from the populace. Granted, she didn't exactly contribute much to their reputation. Her exploits in Sonora with the Diamond Dust mines was... Well, that was a story for another day. Since then, she was a 'respectable' business woman! Often underestimated for her youthful appearance, until she ran circles around merchants with her ingenuity. Now, she was being underestimated by that woman and her schemes.
"In a pinch, I can summon a monster to help with structural damage. Maybe something with a strong body or a shield...?" Lumina mused until she was down the stairs, facing the hidden secrets. This was it and perhaps, not a moment too soon. The real question was, where would she start now that she was down here? If there were any hint of the culprit, that'd be where she'd begin. If not, then she'd have to really live up to being a Detective.
