Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.
The current skin was made by Pharaoh Leap of Pixel Perfect. Outside of that, individual posts and characters belong to their creators, and we claim no ownership to what which is not ours. Thank you for stopping by.

Caius Lucis Caelum
Better off without, huh? Caius half-chuckled a bit at that thought. “Considering what we know now? Probably for the best. Compared to the rest of the family, you made out like a bandit though” Caius pointed out with a bit of cheek, only half serious. “Full use of the Power of Kings, mainly that armiger thingy. I can’t do it, I already tried well before today” he humorously admitted, snapping his fingers to summon his own weapons and let them float around him a bit. “I’ll improvise something, though. Even if it doesn’t beat the real thing. So you’re doing ok – being crystal transported aside. More than once, apparently, this one girl called Renitra was talking about you being sent to somewhere called Eorzea. How… Many places have you been portalled to?” he couldn’t help but ask, though the question was a touch overshadowed by the story to come.
Maybe they could review Eorzea horror stories later.
Noctis brought up an interesting question. How -did- he become tainted with the scourge? Caius shrugged at that. “I don’t know. I was on Zephon a year or so before I ran into him, so he either was consumed by it here, or managed to preserve it somehow. If he had been experimenting on himself after the Empire fell…” he trailed off, cutting himself off before he could go too deep into that line of thought. That was a bit too much for one day.
Noctis suggested taking a break, and Caius nodded slowly. He had blown out all his energy, both physically and mentally. And honestly, he was barely keeping himself upright. “Yes, I think that’s best” Caius agreed quietly as he tried to get himself to his feet. He wobbled a bit, clearly still a bit disoriented, but he grabbed what he could to support himself and get himself upwards. “We’ll talk more and figure out next steps next time. I think… I need a stiff drink. And a very long nap. I’d check myself into an inn if Yuna wouldn’t hunt me down the second there was room in the clinic, so I’ll probably head there if you need me. I’ll check in on Ignis while I’m there.”

[attr=class, bulk] Caius joked that Noctis had made off rather well compared to the rest of the family, which made the prince quirk his lips into a half smirk. “I think the bar for that’s in hell,” he said with a slight chuckle. “But considering that the last three seem to be you, me, and Ardyn…” With that in mind, Noctis supposed he should just consider himself lucky to not have been locked away for 2,000 years. The astrals definitely weren’t kind to the Lucis Caleums who weren’t in line for the throne.
Caius also expressed some regret about not having full access to the armiger, which made Noctis shake his head. “You’re plenty strong even without the crystal’s full blessing. Gave me a run for my money on that beach.” It probably rang a little hollow coming from him when he was supposed to be the true king from the prophecy, but the prince really did mean it. To him, that destiny felt more like shackles leading him to some preordained fight with darkness. He’d have given anything to just be normal. Maybe the grass really was greener on the other side.
He really wasn’t expecting Caius to bring up him supposedly teleporting over to Eorzea though. “Seriously? That’s what Alex said!” Noctis sat back down on the abandoned couch with a groan. “He claimed we’d met before in his world. Knew a lot about me or I would have thought he was crazy. Eventually I just figured that maybe I was having memory problems about the trip like lots of people here seem to.” That was looking more and more likely if someone else had confirmed meeting him on Eorzea. He’d have to talk to this Renitra person if they ever crossed paths.
Caius admitted that he wasn’t certain how Cortez had absorbed the scourge, whether he’d been the one to bring it to Zephon or if it had already been here when he’d come into contact with it again. “I guess it doesn’t really matter. We’ll stop him either way,” Noctis said while rubbing the back of his neck. He had mostly just been musing out loud, but this really wasn’t the time for that. Especially when the blond kingsglaive looked dead on his feet.
Caius confirmed that he was going to go back to the clinic for a drink and a nap. He said he’d check on Ignis while he was there, and the prince nodded gratefully. “Thank you. We’ll head back there soon too. Just wanted to update Cindy on the situation.” He didn’t want to be away from his injured retainer for too long either. “You’ll…be okay on the way back, right?” He really did look exhausted. They could probably give him a ride if needed.

Caius Lucis Caelum
The bar was definitely in hell. But in his timeline, every Lucis Caelum except Noctis was dead. So living and being able to reign as King was definitely a pretty enormous advantage. Zephon-wise? Caius was part of the bloodline and yet couldn’t actively use any of its power without a conduit, and he didn’t even want to get into what the hell happened to Ardyn. And Noctis got, well… All of it. But Caius supposed he could be dead here too. Or short, that seemed like a pretty sizeable downside too. End of the day, he was here, and also fairly tall. And he didn’t recall Noctis getting any taller twelve years from now.
Noctis tried to reason as well that Caius was plenty strong. “I’m more experienced, been fighting monsters and daemons since I was a child – but I’m nothing compared to the King in my time” Caius pointed out. Compared to what Noctis in a decade could do, Caius didn’t think he could match up. Heck, this Noctis even without his full power, or the extra decade, gave him serious problems. “Still…” he trailed off, trying to find some shining light in all of this as he dusted himself off. “Guess that means I’ll just have to keep fighting to get stronger. I don’t intend to let the starscourge leave me needing a savior again.”
Then and there shined just a bit of confidence. As his nerves seemed to calm a touch, the Caius that Noctis knew seemed to be returning, slowly but steadily. "Maybe I should take over your training until we find Lord Amacita. Might do us both some good, and I can't let you go back to Lucis unprepared" Caius then spoke up, only partly joking. In that moment, the smallest smirk twitched across his face. If Caius wanted to get stronger, he couldn't do much better than sparring against the future King. And Noctis needed someone to keep him sharp until his actual trainer was found. Even with the circumstances at hand, Caius was still a man of Lucis. As angry as he was at the Kings of Yore, he would not see his homeland destroyed by the coming darkness.
Noctis mentioned Alex had the same story as Renitra, and Caius let out a light groan with a roll of his eyes as Sorel was mentioned. “Of course that dick is involved somehow” he remarked bitterly, clearly still holding a bit of a grudge for Sonora. “We can question them both more later – if Sorel tries Yuna and lives. I don’t trust him to delay coming after her just because she’s tending to Ignis, and she won’t just roll over and let him put her patients at risk.”
Oh right, the “girl that works for Caius” mentioned earlier was the same one who was currently healing Ignis. Probably should have gotten that mention out earlier. “Preaching to the choir about memory problems” Caius muttered, vaguely audible. He just nodded through the rest about Cortez, but by the time Noctis asked if he would be alright, Caius seemed to have regained some balance to his posture. He walked upright and tall, broad shoulders spread out. “Aye, I’ll live. Today has been… A lot” replied Caius in the understatement of the century, his tone growing ever calmer with each moment. “But I’m still the leader of the Dragonblades. They’re still counting on me, and that means I need to stay strong. As you were strong for your people… I must do the same for mine.”
