[attr=class, bulk] Yuna hadn’t really been sure what to make of the cruise invitation when it had first arrived in the mail. Apparently it was a gift from one of her clients as a thank you. He had been chosen to attend the test voyage of the Choco Cruise Line, and he’d thought that she might like it instead. Yuna had initially intended to turn it down since she didn’t like to leave the Clinic for long stretches of time, but she’d eventually decided that maybe she really could use a vacation. She was no good to anybody if she was too exhausted to care for anyone.
The actual boat voyage passed without much incident. It really was nice to get away from everything for a little while, even if she couldn’t help but feel guilty for spending so much time just laying around. Yuna had most been looking forward to the island itself though, so when they finally made port, she made sure to dress for the beach in a white swimsuit top and long blue skirt. For once she didn’t even plan to bring her staff along, so hopefully nothing too dire happened. She could use magic without it of course, but the weapon definitely helped to focus her spells and enhance their strength.
When Yuna finally stepped out onto the sand, it was approaching sunset, and she wasn’t prepared for the immediate wave of nostalgia and homesickness it caused. The view looked so much like Besaid that it was honestly hard to look at. This area of the beach had been set up with blankets and several bars and ice cream stands. Everything looked lovely, but Yuna suddenly wasn’t sure if she was up for this. Turning away to flee the beach, she nearly ran straight into a white-haired man who had most of his face covered.
“Oh! I’m sorry.” Yuna stopped to give the stranger a weak smile before she spread an arm out at their surroundings. “It’s beautiful, isn’t it? It just might be a little…too nice for me. If that makes sense.”

[attr="class","skullbody"]Going on a cruise like this is certainly not something that Keimusho would go out of his way to do. After all, he was rather obsessed with his duties. It seemed almost pointless for him to go, but thanks to a combination of a large amount of pestering via Enma and an emphasis from a courier that it was extremely difficult to locate Mu in order to give him the invitation he pretty much didn't have much choice. The shinobi figured that it would be almost rude to decline the invitation that he had been given in large part to him being one of the Kraken slayers. Despite being rather apprehensive about going, Mu did not find the experience unpleasant. By nature of this being a vacation, this has been a much-needed relaxation experience for him in spite of him being fully adorned in his armor. [break][break] The time of the voyage itself soon came to an end as the boat made port to Choco Island. For some reason that Mu couldn't fathom, this destination excited his floating oni companion. "There it is! It's the beach! Come on boss, let's go immediately," Enma says. [break][break] "Alright. Enma. Alright. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy the beach in your own way." Mu responds. Though in response, he wondered how exactly Enma could even enjoy an experience like this given that he is just projecting himself from the shinobi's blade. Enma doesn't eat so he can't enjoy the catering and he would just likely phase through the sands of the beach. Perhaps the scenery alone was enough? [break][break] As he steps onto the beach, he was almost run into by a young woman who seemed to be heading back towards the ship. After apologizing, the woman comments that the scenery of the beach was almost too nice for her. Enma responds, "Nonsense! We've just made it to the beach. You couldn't have gotten enough of the scenery just yet!" [break][break] "Enma let's not be rude," Mu interjects. "Apologies for my companion here, he can be a bit abrasive. I think I get what you mean about it being a bit too nice though."
[attr=class, bulk] As Yuna stopped to apologize to the stranger, she had to smile a little when she saw that he was still in his full armor. He must have been a little hot on the beach, but since it was approaching sunset, maybe it would cool down enough to be manageable for him. She thought she understood why someone might not want to change out of their normal clothes though. He must have seen a lot of combat in his life and wanted to be ready for anything. With that outlook, Yuna was starting to regret not bringing her staff afterall.
To her surprise, the first person to speak to her wasn’t the masked man, but a little red creature over his shoulder. “Oh!” Yuna jumped in surprise when he popped up before quickly apologizing. “I’m sorry, I’ve never seen anyone like you before. You’re right though.” She stood on her tiptoes in the sand to get a better look at him, hoping that she wasn’t coming off as rude as the man apologized for the comments his companion had made. “No, it’s alright. We did just arrive. I think I might just be bad at relaxing,” she admitted as she looked down at the beach again. She wasn’t entirely sure what to do without a clear task or a crisis to avert, which meant that she was probably missing the point of the beautiful scenery.
“I’m Yuna by the way,” she introduced herself since he was nice enough to stop and talk to her after she’d nearly bowled him over. “And you called him Enma, right?” She wanted to know his name too of course, but she really was curious about his small companion and what exactly he was. She hadn’t seen anything like him on either Spira or on Zephon so far.
“Anything you were planning on doing while you were here? I’m sort of just winging this whole trip,” Yuna admitted, wondering if he’d won his way in at the last minute like she had. That would explain the armor.

[attr="class","skullbody"]Thankfully the woman in question did not take any offense to Enma criticizing her for not her attempt to return to the boat. In fact, she was rather curious about him which is for sure a vast improvement over the potential unease that Enma’s oni-like appearance could bring. If anything, she agreed with Enma’s comment, noting that she is bad at relaxing. “That is certainly a sentiment that I share. It is as if I find myself unrelaxed when I attempt to relax by conventional means,” the shinobi responds. Being adorned in his armor would certainly be an indicator of such. [break][break] “I’m Yuna by the way. And you called him, Enma right?” The woman says as she introduces herself. Mu sort of wondered why she was so curious about Enma. Maybe she is used to seeing unconventional beings or a regular basis? There is no way Mu could know for sure, especially as her current state of dress did not imply any combat or magical inclination, but that is to be expected given that this is supposed to be a vacation to the beach. “Yes, that’s right,” the shinobi responds. “This is my companion Enma and you can call me Mu.” [break][break] Yuna would then ask if they had any plans while on the trip and state that she was simply winging the vacation. “No, I don’t have any plans either,” Mu admits. “Admittedly, I’m only here because of Enma here.” The shinobi then turns to Enma. “So what are your plans now that we are on the beach that you desperately wanted to come to Enma?” [break][break] “We’ll just wing it, boss!” Enma responds. “By the kami…” Keimusho mutters under his breath. Though he really shouldn’t have expected more than that. Enma had never really been to the beach for a vacation before and to be frank neither had Mu. Sure, he has been to the Ruby Sea back in his homeworld but he was never there for long, let alone for a vacation as his focus back then was adding in Doma’s rebellion against the Garlean Empire. “Well, I suppose if it is no trouble for you, that you wouldn’t mind if the three of us try to wing this vacation together?” The shinobi says turning his head back to Yuna. Maybe she’ll have a better idea of what to do here than we do, the shinobi figured. After all she is dressed for the beach.
[attr=class, bulk] The white-haired man seemed understanding of Yuna’s brief moment of panic about the beach, and he shared that he had a hard time relaxing by conventional means too. He also introduced himself as Mu and confirmed that the little creature he was with was called Enma. “It’s nice to meet you both,” she said with a slight bow of her head before smiling over at him. “I’m going to guess that you aren’t from Zephon originally either?” It would explain his companion, and also why he had trouble letting his guard down. Maybe his life had been a lot different before this. Yuna’s certainly had been too.
Mu said that he didn’t really have any plans for the beach either and admitted that he’d only come along because Enma had really wanted to see the ocean. His friend apparently had no idea what to do now that he was there though, which made Mu look like he wanted to strangle him. Yuna laughed behind her hand at their brief squabble. She still wasn’t sure what Enma was, but he definitely had spirit. She could also tell how close the two of them were, even if Mu seemed a bit long-suffering about it.
The armored man extended an offer for the three of them to wing this vacation together, which surprised Yuna since she hadn’t made a great first impression by nearly bowling them over. She was ultimately relieved though. She didn’t really know whether or not anyone else she knew had boarded the cruise, so spending time with these two almost-strangers sounded nice. And maybe being with other people would distract her from thoughts of home more than wandering the sand alone would do.
“I’d like that. Maybe we can figure out how to relax together,” she said with a slight laugh as she scanned their surroundings. Seeing as how Yuna had grown up on an island, she should probably have had a better idea of where to start, but she had honestly spent far more time training in the temple than out in the ocean. She did her best to try to remember what visitors to Besaid had done in their spare time though.
“I think we need to start with a fruity drink or ice cream. That’s what tourists do,” Yuna said decisively before suddenly remembering that her companions were a man with his face covered and a small creature. “At least, if that’s something you two want to do!” She hadn’t really considered the logistics before suggesting it. Did Mu remove his face mask around other people when he was eating? Maybe he only ate when he was alone? Or perhaps he’d just turn away and then replace it? Yuna had no idea how to ask his drinking methods in a polite way, so she just danced around the issue.

[attr="class","skullbody"]"Correct. I am not from Zephon. I come from a land called Doma, on a world commonly called Hydaelyn," the shinobi responds to Yuna. [break][break] Yuna would agree to try to wing this vacation with Mu and Enma, suggesting that they may find out how to relax in the process. "I'm sure that it will be as difficult as any training that I have endured," the shinobi jokes. [break][break] "It's as good as a start as any," the shinobi surprisingly responds. Perhaps the years being on Zephon made him less apprehensive about removing the mask from time to time. The mask does still carry a certain level of sentimental value for the shinobi, due to his previous life in Doma. However, the mask's purpose of hiding Mu's identity is almost null in Zephon. After all, he is at least decently well known in Torensten, thanks to the Festival of the Hunt and the Kraken slaying. "It's better than any suggestion that I could have at least." [break][break] "But boss, I can't drink or eat food," Enma jokingly retorts. "How can I enjoy the sweetness of fruity drink or the brain freeze of an ice cream?" [break][break] "Aren't you the one usually complaining about me only eating rations? You can't experience the tastes of that either, yet you somehow take issue with it. With that logic, I'm sure you'll find some level of enjoyment watching me consume something else for once," Mu responds to his floating companion. [break][break] "Right, right. I'm just pulling your tail boss," Enma says. "I'm sure you and Yuna will enjoy whatever drinks and desserts the beach's fine culinarians have to offer." [break][break] "I see..," the Au Ra says to Enma before turning his speech towards Yuna. "Well, if we are getting drinks and ice cream, I'll leave the flavors to your recommendations."
[attr=class, bulk] Mu confirmed that he wasn’t from Zephon originally either, and Yuna brightened when he mentioned the name Hydaelyn. “I’ve heard of that world before! Have you ever met the white mage Monori? I work with her in Provo, and she’s originally from Hydaelyn too.” Tons of people must have lived there, so it wouldn’t surprise her if the two had never crossed paths before. Yuna liked reuniting people from the same worlds though, so she always tried to bring up others that she’d met before when she encountered someone new from the same place.
He also joked that relaxing would be one of the hardest training sessions that he’d ever endured, which made Yuna laugh since she knew the feeling. Mu did at least agree to start by hitting up the food stalls though, so maybe Yuna had been worried over his face covering for nothing. He at least didn’t bring it up as a possible issue. Enma and Mu did also have a brief scuffle over the fact that Enma apparently didn’t eat food, though the creature eventually relented that he’d enjoy seeing Mu eat something new. “How do you survive without food?” Yuna asked curiously, wondering if they had a type of magical connection that gave him energy. “Are you some kind of spirit?” He was at least a benevolent one—nothing like the unsent that had plagued Spira. It would probably be best for her to avoid performing a sending around Enma though. Just to be safe. She’d feel bad if she sent him to the afterlife by accident.
After the two had sorted out their disagreement, Mu said that he would leave flavor recommendations up to her. “I’ll do my best. I’m a bit new to this too,” Yuna said with a laugh, before turning to head over to the food stalls. They had a short line, but nothing too bad, and Yuna did her best to keep an eye on what others were ordering on their way to the front. “Definitely one of those please,” Yuna requested with her eyes on the ‘chocobars’ that other people had. As far as she could tell, they were chocobo shaped chocolates on a stick with vanilla ice-cream inside, and that sounded delicious. “As for drinks…” Yuna skimmed the list of what they had, but most of the names were unfamiliar to her. Eventually though, Yuna noticed a woman off to the side with a yellow and red drink with fruit on top. After inquiring, she learned that it was called a Mai Tai, and that was good enough for her. If it was bad, she could always just eat the fruit it came with. “Could I try one of those please?”

[attr="class","skullbody"]Mu nodded at Yuna's mention of the name Minori. "I've had a brief conversation with her in Provo, yes. I was surprised to see a Miqo'te in Zephon, so I had to ensure that they were from Hydaelyn as I suspected." Mu momentarily thought further on Yuna saying that she worked with the Minori in Provo. "Now that I think about it Yuna... I believe that I have heard your name before. Do you happen to work for the Dragonblades? Caius has mentioned your name in passing in conversations past." [break][break] Yuna would ask how Enma did not need food. "Well, it's simple really... At least I think it is." Enma responds. "What's the best way I can explain this?... Help me out boss." [break][break] "From what I can gather, he draws in energy from his surroundings in a way someone practiced in magic might, albeit at a much more gradual rate." Mu explains to best of his ability. It really wasn't something that he thought much about, let alone knowing the specifics of how it worked. Given that Enma is essential an artificial soul housed in the ninja's sword, he never thought about trying to feed Enma and he never needed to. You can't exactly try to feed a sword much of anything other than combat after all. [break][break] At the food stall Yuna would order a chocobo shaped chocolate and a drink called a Mai Tai. Given that Mu said that he would leave the flavors at the stall to her, he would order the same thing as Yuna. "These are quite the interesting looking items," Mu comments on the various food and drink served. "It is a bit different from what my home country would have. I wonder if they bear closer similarities to what the Eorzean people from my world would have."
[attr=class, bulk] Mu confirmed that he had met Monori before—apparently they had talked because he had been surprised to see…something. “Miqo’te?” Yuna echoed, not entirely sure what the word meant until the context clues caught up with her. “Oh! Do you mean her ears and tail? I didn’t know how to ask her about that without sounding rude,” she admitted a bit sheepishly. Monori’s race didn’t exist on Spira, but at least Yuna finally had a word for it now.
The masked man also looked thoughtful for a moment before saying that he might have heard her name before too. Yuna brightened when he mentioned Caius and asked if she worked for the guild. This was a nice surprise—It looked like they both had more connections than they’d initially thought. “Yes, that’s me. Do you do some work for the Dragonblades too?” Since he’d mentioned having multiple conversations with Caius and seemed to be skilled with a blade, it wouldn’t surprise her. “I’m mostly up in Provo these days, or I’m sure we would have met much earlier. How’s everything getting along at the Torensten base?” Caius and Celes didn’t always keep her in the loop with that drama anymore. They probably just didn’t want to bother her, but Yuna still missed the Torensten base sometimes. She really needed to pay them a visit soon.
Enma did his best to explain why he didn’t need to eat food, but he ended up having to tag in Mu for the answer. Maybe it was just too normal for Enma himself to really think about it. Apparently he slowly drew in energy just from his surroundings, which was enough to sustain his small form. “That would be incredibly convenient,” Yuna said with a smile as she looked over at the red creature again. “I’m sorry you can’t try the food stalls with us though. Let us know if there’s anything you want to do next, Enma.” That only seemed fair since he couldn’t enjoy the first experience.
Once they’d collected their treats, Yuna took a cautious bite of the chocobar and immediately brightened at how refreshing it was. On Mu’s end, he seemed to be reflecting on how different the items were from what he would have gotten on Hydaelyn. “Eorzean? Was that a different country?” Yuna asked curiously, since he mentioned another group of people where he was from. Meanwhile, to give them time to enjoy their snacks, Yuna briefly sat down in a beach chair and glanced towards the ocean again. The sun really was getting low in the sky.

[attr="class","skullbody"]Mu nodded at Yuna's question, "Yes, her race is called the Mi'qote. My race is called the Au Ra and we are identified by our horns, scales, and tail. I thought I would specify as my choice of attire may not make my racial features that apparent at a glance." [break][break] "I am not a part of the organization, but I did do few jobs alongside Caius before, notably that time we killed the Kraken that caused that fifteen-day long storm in Torensten. There was also that time that we became Champions of the Hunt, while stopping a beast from terrorizing the city in the process." That was also the moment that Mu had started to get somewhat of a public reputation, one of which is one that he was going to have to slowly accept. [break][break] "I did recently pay Caius a visit at The Wyvern’s Rest. He, as well the rest of the Dragonblades seemed to have quite a number of things to keep busy with." Mu would opt out of mentioned the heart-to-heart he would have with Caius about his reluctance to join the organization. Perhaps another time would be more appropriate. [break][break] Yuna felt bad that Enma couldn't enjoy the food with them, so suggested that he picks the next activity. Mu was inclined to agree, but couldn't help, but wonder what kind of beach activity that Enma could do given that he couldn't touch anything either. [break][break] "Not quite," Mu responds. "Eorzea is a large geopolitical region consisting of a few city-states. One of them being Gridania, which is where Monori was from if I recall our brief conversation correctly. The region of which my country Doma is located is within a region often called The Far East." [break][break] As the ninja finished his chocobar and Mai Tai, he would turn the Enma. "Well, you heard Yuna earlier, Enma. What do you want to do next?" [break][break] "Sandcastles," Enma mutters. [break][break] Mu raises a brow. [break][break] "I can't exactly touch anything either Mu. So, I can only watch you two do something. So, I want to see some sandcastles." [break][break] "Well, I have no other ideas. I suppose it'll have to do," the shinobi says.
