When Yuna had heard there was an entire holiday dedicated to Shiva that was celebrated in the mountains of Sonora, she had jumped at the chance to attend. This world’s aeons weren’t the same as Spira’s, so she had been hoping for a chance to learn more about them. Especially Shiva, since for whatever reason, the ice-clad summon had been the only one to answer her call ever since she’d arrived on Zephon. If anything, that meant that Yuna had a duty to attend and give her thanks to the ice aeon.
Unfortunately the event…didn’t seem to be quite what Yuna had pictured.
The sun had already set, but Yuna could still hear whoops from the ski slopes in the distance as if people were speeding down the mountain even in the dark. It seemed more dangerous that way, but it had looked like a lot of fun. The summoner would have even been excited to try skiing under normal circumstances, but she was still in a bit of culture shock since she had come here expecting a solemn holiday. Feeling a bit lost and unsure of what to do with herself, Yuna decided to bundle up against the cold and take the trail from the resort over to Shiva’s Market. Maybe some colorful stalls and lights were what she could use at this time of night.
The walking path to the market was dark and snow-covered, and Yuna’s breath sent small white puffs up towards the sky. It attracted her attention to the stars overhead, and after a moment, she slowed to a stop to just consider them. The constellations were so different from Spira’s. It really hammered home that she was somewhere else when even the sky was a stranger to her. How had Tidus always managed to have a smile on his face even when he was trapped on Spira and couldn’t make it home to Zanarkand?
Well, that wasn’t true. He’d had his low points as well. Yuna remembered when he’d scream or just laugh like a crazy person and not care what anyone thought of him. He always claimed that it helped, but Yuna had never tried it before without him.

An impulse took hold of her, and putting her hands on her hips, Yuna tilted her head back towards the sky. “Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha!” Her voice echoed through the night, and though it didn’t really make her feel better, she had to smile in spite of herself.
