Dream Me to Life

Write our Names in the Pillow Sky
His ear wiggled as a dandelion tickled at this nose as he swatted it away. The sun warmed his face, and he rolled over in his sleep casting his arm to catch his husband in a cuddle not yet ready to get up and deal with the day. Empty space. He hmmed quietly to himself. No worries. Alistair had probably gotten up early to make breakfast. He stretched hoping to feel his sheets beneath him but something was off. He felt dirt rake underneath his fingernails. His eyes snapped opened and he bared his fangs as the harsh sunlight reflected off the emerald sea of grass. D'usi groaned sitting himself up. A couple of things were wrong here. One he was wearing clothes. He never went to bed with a stich of clothing on. Two, he was outside. He hadn't gotten into fisticuffs to buy a house to be sleeping outside, seven hells he didn't even like the idea of camping. Three, his staff lay by his side along with his soul crystel, Azem's crystal, and his crafting soul. "For Hydaelyn's sake," he muttered among a string of curses, "Not again."
He got up cracking his neck before bending to pick up his belongings. His muttering continued as put a hand over his eyes to look around the plain and before looking up to the sky. The sky seemed normal enough, no overwhelming late or darkness, just a plain blue sky with it's wispy white clouds rolling about. Well that was a small relief. Wherever he was wasn't at risk of a very urgent calamity or so he hoped. After getting his stretches in, he set off in a random direction hoping to run into someone sooner or later. At least there was no giant crystal tower hovering over the horizon like an omen.
Fortunately it didn't take him long to come across a small herd off chocobo and their farmer. "Hey. Hey you, where's the nearest town." He said not introducing himself to the man. The man blinked at him in confusion before starting. "Oh you must be one-." "Yeah, yeah it's me. Directions please. I'll have someone send you some gil or something for the help." Blinking at him and frowning, the man simply pointed behind him. "About a hour's journey that way to Provo. Might want some protection though, heard there's monsters out and about." D'usian rolled his eyes. "Think I'll be fine, thanks." He huffed as he made his way down the path. Never heard of any place called Provo. If it was a different shard that would make sense. If it was somewhere on the Source he hadn't been, well he wasn't a scholar and that sounded like an Alphinaud or Urianger thing to know where things were.
Thankfully without incident, D'usian made it to the rather dodgy looking town. It definitly felt less nice than the Crystarium or Eulmore or even the major cities of Eorzea. It gave off Tomra vibes or lilke something they were starting up in Ala Mhigo. He wasn't most likely to find someone of import here, but he should at least get some information. It was a bit stinky here, the sweat of the working class, which he was not disavowed to man musk every once in awhile, but it was a bit overwhelming here. Perhaps he could craft some deodorant for these people for a small price of course. Couldn't adventure on an empty stomach. What struck him as most odd was most everyone was giving him slightly strange stares. Not the stares that the savior of Eorzea usually got but curious to distrustful looks. He chalked it up to seemingly only Hyurs populating this settlement. Oh well, he would have thought himself in Garlamald if it weren't sunny and warm.
Eventually he found himself on a very busy street with lots of commotion and billboards. Meandering over to one he was quick to notice the bulletins were not in the Eorzean scripts but he was still able to read them. As normal as being able to read Doman and the words on the First. However, one particular bulletin caught his attention and he yanked it off the board. "Master White Mage, Yuna?" That was good laugh. He was the only White Mage he knew of, but perhaps in this land they had something similar. If Martyn could teach healing blue skills he wouldn't put anything past the mysteries of the world or the shards. Still this was the best lead to find someone so far, so finding a box he pulled it out into the middle of the street to more rough looks before climbing atop.
"Attention citizens of....Provo," he announced standing as tall and proud as he felt. "I am D'usian M'dina of Eorzea. I would like to meet this Master Yuna or anyone else who may be in charge of these parts. I've traveled a long way and have been summoned here for unknown reasons. Help with this matter will be rewarded of course." If whoever summoned him here wouldn't meet him, he'd find them. Simple enough. He didn't need to announce his status as the Warrior of Light in case said party were out to get him.
