Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Click the image for a super easy new skin guide for a visual tour!
Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.
The current skin was made by Pharaoh Leap of Pixel Perfect. Outside of that, individual posts and characters belong to their creators, and we claim no ownership to what which is not ours. Thank you for stopping by.
Cissnei pointed out that Zack smelled better than the people in the building, and he had to agree. That didn't stop him from suddenly realizing that he may have just gotten used to his smell, and he really did smell pretty bad. The comment about new SOLDIER smell made him feel a little better, as he was still proud that he had reached his dream to become a SOLDIER, even with the ending he had gotten. He had made it, and that was still a win in his book.
Zack followed Cissnei out of the pub and everywhere they went after that. To be quite fair, he would follow her anywhere at this point in time. If he had just had that mentality before, there was a chance he wouldn't be in the mess he was in now. Then again, everything happened for a reason, right? He wasn't sure if he'd ever know why everything happened the way it did, and he knew at some point, he was going to be okay without knowing the truth.
When the reached the inn, Zack took a good look at it. It was a little run down, but he didn't mind. Gongaga had never been the most upscale place on Gaia, and this would definitely beat sleeping outside or in a mako tank. In all honesty, Zack felt at home here, it was comfortable to him.
The woman Cissnei addressed approached them and Zack gave her a smile. She seemed down to earth, and very nice. Also someone who could give you a lecture so great that your great-great-great grandkids would behave. When she asked if he could do handyman's work, Zack gave a nod. "Yes ma'am. Growing up, that was something I learned quite quickly." It was true. There weren't many professionals in Gongaga, so all the kids had to learn life necessaties at a young age.
[attr="class","crashBody"] Doreen placed a hand on her hip and gave him a hard look over. After a few heart beats, her face melted into a smile with a nod. She had finally decided to keep him around. “Alright then. Begin with the sign. I got a toolbox in the shed out back.” She knelt down to find a key under the counter. Then, as she stood up she smacked it on the counter for him. “It’s not much, but it has the basic comforts.” Then she turns back to return to her book keeping - a new name now added. She hummed gently to herself. [break][break] Cissnei now slid the key off the counter, eyed it for a moment as if she would teasingly keep it. Then, she held it out to Zack. “One room acquired.” She said, quite satisfied with herself. Her other hand reached for her wallet to remove some gil. She also slipped it with the key. “So you can go pick yourself out some clothes.” She explained with no room for him to argue. “Might help with the SOLDIER smell.” A chuckle escaped her lips. [break][break] She let out a sigh and she crossed her arms in front of her. “It was nice bumping into you Zack.” She meant it. “I have to go catch my ride out of here.” Her eyes lowered to her watch, “But it was nice chatting with you. I’ll have to meet up with you again once you are more settled here.” She had lots more to inform him of, such as his friends. But, she had to take the next ride to Provo. Vincent came first, and she had to make sure everything went right with him. It did not seem right to notify Zack of Sephiroth and the others until she witnessed the outcome of her meeting there.
Zack gave Doreen a quick nod. "Yes ma'am." SOLDIER wasn't the reason he had good manners, but it had helped him continue having them. Growing up, he was raised to be a gentleman. He took that to heart and was bullied for it for a little bit until he finally defended himself. That was one of the reasons he had joined SOLDIER in the first place. Sticking up for himself, and others as well, was something he was proud to do. He loved being the one people could go to for help. He wanted to be a hero.
Watching as she eyed the key, Zack smiled as she handed it to him. "I could always get you a copy, if you ever wanted to check up on me." Adding a wink, he noticed she was giving him gil as well. He honestly didn't want to take it, but he needed clothes more than he needed his pride. Reminding himself to write down how much he owed her, he stuck his tongue out at her once again with her remark to the SOLDIER smell. "It's both comforting and traumatic to remember this smell."
Cissnei was then stating she was leaving, and he wrapped his arms around her shoulders, bringing her close to him. "It was good to see you too. Thank you for everything today. I promise to pay you back, even if you won't accept it." He ruffled her hair before letting her go, giving her a wink as he ran off towards the shed Doreen pointed out. He knew she wasn't a fan of that, but hey. Zack was never one to stray away from annoying people.
