Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.
The current skin was made by Pharaoh Leap of Pixel Perfect. Outside of that, individual posts and characters belong to their creators, and we claim no ownership to what which is not ours. Thank you for stopping by.

[attr="class","jrbody"]Jessie settled back into the saddle as Vordun slowed a bit in flight. She couldn’t see or hear any more monsters anywhere near them. The sky seemed peaceful once more and she breathed a sigh of relief. She laughed appreciatively as Caius joked that this might not be her last aerial fight. ”Well, I’m always up for the challenge,” she said eagerly. In fact, the rush of adrenaline during the fight had felt amazing. She truly loved doing something worthwhile in the world again. Maybe she really would need to hang around the Dragonblades for a bit. Jessie wasn’t sure if she wanted to officially join the mercenaries but she certainly wanted more exciting encounters like this. [break][break] When she mentioned the loss of her headband Caius turned around and looked at her. He offered to turn around and look for it. She smiled and shrugged helplessly. “That’s sweet,” she said sincerely, “But there’s no way we’ll find it. It’s okay, it’s just a strip of cloth.” She ran her hand through her hair and shook it out a little. It felt a little weird to not have the headband there, but searching for it would be an absolute needle-in-a-haystack situation. “I bought new ones just recently. I’ll have to wear them instead. It’s fine.”[break][break] “Thank you though,” she added softly. “It was just one of my ties to my old life. But I’ve been here a year by now so maybe it’s time to let it go. I don’t remember the significance of it anyway.” She rested her forehead lightly against Caius’ shoulder, trying in vain to focus on details of her past. But, as always, her memory was an utter blank. “We should just get back to town before it’s too late.”

"I'll keep that in mind next I want to head outside of Torensten. I'm on book-keeping duty right now, but I can certainly give you a call when I'm ready to head out into the world again" he brought up. Though his chipper tone disappeared as she brought up the significance of her headband, and Caius' frown deepened in turn. He'd only wished to take her on a flight and get her back to town more quickly and safely. But not only had he exposed her to danger, but he had indirectly caused her to lose something that had linked her to her past. What could he do? He had offered to go and look, but... She was right, most likely they would never find it. He could replace it, sure, but... It still wouldn't be the old one. She did try to find the positives in all of this, which was admirable, but he still felt bad for what he had done.
"I'm sorry" he spoke softly. What else was there to say about that? She seemed happy about the flight, but also, while she tried to hide it, seemingly a bit remorseful about the headband. He could understand why considering it was a memento to a time she had lost and had no connection to, and even understood why she had tried to push the thoughts aside and move forward. Even said she'd bought new ones. He'd acted the same way many times before.
He'd just have to keep an eye out for it the next time he was out this way, Caius decided. Eventually, Vordun would land just a little ways outside the city. Caius hopped down, helping Jessie down as well. After saying their goodbyes to Vordun, the drake took off towards the forest. The stretch of land that Caius called home was out there. Vordun knew the way.
Caius turned to Jessie, and gingerly offered his arm with a gentle smile.
"I can show you where the base is on the way to your destination before we part ways, if you'd like me to accompany you the rest of the way back to the city anyway. I don't mind if you've had enough of me for one day" he remarked with a small laugh.

[attr="class","jrbody"]Jessie felt a thrill of anticipation when Caius agreed that he’d find her when he was ready to go out adventuring again. She couldn’t wait, not after getting a taste of adventure outside the city. She wanted more. He seemed remorseful and saddened about the loss of her headband. His care and concern touched her but also made her feel slightly self-conscious. It was just a strip of cloth after all. She didn’t want him to feel too sad about it, not after he’d given her so much more. Her smile was more genuine and less forced when he said he was sorry. “Hey, today was worth it anyway. Really.” [break][break] “And who knows, maybe it’ll show up again if we go out adventuring in the forest,” she added, trying to sound hopeful even as she knew it was a lost cause. [break][break] The drake slowly circled down to the ground a ways from the gates to Torensten. She let Caius help her from Vordun’s back and out of the saddle. Before Vordun could leave them, Jessie gave his snout a few more pets. “It was nice to meet you, Vordun. Hope to do this again soon!” The drake took off, wings spread wide as he flew away over the forest. She watched him wistfully and wondered where he was off to. Where did the dragon live out there? And would she ever be invited to see it? [break][break] But it was time to return to Torensten now. Caius gave her his arm and she took it with a grin. “Sure!” she agreed eagerly when he offered to show her the base of the Dragonblades in the city. “I think I know where it is, but I’d like to be sure. I can point out where I live too, so you know where to find me.”

Caius felt guilty. Sure, it was just a headband. He wasn't too used to being attached to material things, but he understood the sentiment and importance behind it and was sure that he would feel the same in her position. She may not remember the significance of the headband, but she knew it was important to her and who she had once been. And he had been indirectly responsible for her losing that link. Sure, he smiled when she said today was worth it, which he appreciated and he was glad he had been able to provide that experience for her, but he still couldn't help but feel responsible. Was that perhaps why he had offered his arm the way he had, tried to be as polite as he could imagine being? Perhaps. Or perhaps he was just comfortable around her. Perhaps both? This kind of thing wasn't something he did. So there at least had to be some level of comfort to even attempt. But who knows? Who knew if Caius even knew himself?
Jessie tried to sound hopeful about finding it again, but Caius knew as well as she did it was unlikely. Still, he appreciated her trying to ease his stress on the matter. Vordun meanwhile, was off to the homestead far in the forest. Where they would be hard pressed to be found. Caius didn't typically bring visitors there, but who knows? Perhaps one day.
Jessie accepted the offer and he managed a smile as he looped her arm through his. She brought up that she'd point out where she lived, and he laughed a bit. "Where you live? Bold of you" he threw out as a joke, seeming to remember that as a response he'd read in one of the books he'd gone through some time ago. That sounded like the right thing to throw out, anyway.
After ensuring she had an idea of where their base was, Caius allowed Jessie to guide them from there until she was living at. He'd do his best to keep it in mind if he had an opportunity to bring along company next he set out. Soon enough, they said their own goodbyes as Caius headed back to base. Jessie seemed nice enough, he did look forward to seeing her again.
Now... When did she say opening night for her play would be? Was this a formal affair? It sounded fancy. He didn't know what dress code was, but if it sounded fancy, well.. He did have pieces from the attire he had purchased for the Masquerade...
