The Dragonglaive Celes Chere @sabin Word Count: OOC: Dialogue Color: 196fd1 |
It had been a long trip through Sonora, and an even longer trip back due to having to send Vordun back after a rough fight, but he had finally made his way back to Torensten. As he knew that Celes had been... Touchy, with him prior to his going, he had only corresponded with her twice since leaving. One letter was sent to alert Celes that he had been forced to send Vordun home to let his injuries heal and not wanting to leave him outside in the cold as circumstances would force Caius to remain inside of the city limits for a good deal of the trip, asking her to check in on him from time to time and to ensure that he wasn't still seriously hurt beyond what recovery could do. Caius had spent several hours with Vordun afterwords and had used his own curative magic repeatedly, but at the end of the day, Celes was the better magic user. And he knew he could rely on her. Vordun was able to feed himself just fine, but when it came to his injuries, he knew Celes would come through. As noted in the letter, she would find Vordun at Caius' homestead outside of Torensten. Banged up, but not hurt too badly anymore after Caius had taken as much care of him as he had.
The second letter had been a notice that he would be leaving Sonora shortly, and that he would hopefully be able to return to Torensten within the next few days. He had wished her well, and added that there was something he wished to discuss with her of a personal nature if she had the time when he returned. Which was surely a mistake on his part. What he wanted to talk about was far from what she would be thinking it was, most likely. The hot tropical climate of Torensten was a welcoming one after all that time spent in the cold of Sonora. Once he was back, he first made his way back to the homestead to check on Vordun, and then next heading into the city to check in on headquarters. Caius let out a long breath as he made his way into the building, looking about to see who was around.
And then the exhaustion hit like a tank.
His shoulders slumped and the next breath was a heavy one.He hadn't rested much on the way back, figuring he would be better off resting once he was actually back. Sonora was far from the most welcoming place, and he wasn't the most comfortable sleeping there if he could help it.
But work called before long. It was soon after he had arrived that Celes had brought up a new recruit she had found, someone that she knew from her previous adventures. Any friend of Celes was someone he was sure he'd easily hold respect for, so Caius managed to prop himself up and keep appearances best he could for the introduction. He headed out into the yard while Celes had gone to find this Sabin.
