Fang’s softly gazed at Lightning and studied her features. Fang saw the softness of a woman despite the fatigue of a warrior. It was time for Light to decide whether she would continue to fight in life’s battles or lay down her weapons and rest in peace. It was not a decision they could make for her. They could only pass on their thoughts and wishes to her. To pass on to Light that she had friends and family that loved and cared for her. Between the three of them, if Light could not hear this message, then they may have simply been too late.

She took notice of Serah and quietly listened to Serah. The younger pinkette had a lot of strength in her to see this through. More than Fang even had when she was trying to save Vanille. Fang’s expression softened even more at the thought. And she did not need to turn to see Noctis adding his own quiet support and strength. It was simply felt in this moment. He did not need to continue this journey with him, but she was glad he did. And when the time was right, Noctis simply left her and Serah to tend their own.

Fang closed her eyes and inhaled the fresh night air deeply. Whatever Light chose, she would not allow tears to fall. Either choice would hopefully offer Light the freedom she deserved. She opened her emerald eyes to look up at the night sky. The moon was partially shrouded by the clouds. Then suddenly, she saw a streak of light near it and then vanish. Seemed there was a shooting star. Fang smiled and closed her eyes again, chin lifted. Thereupon she wished upon a star.
