With the rains gone, a fervor has come over Provo that it hasn't seen in over two years. The Festival of Light has taken to the streets once more to celebrate the city's patron Warrior of Light who protected Provo over four thousand years ago. In her honor, the city officials have put out a call for all dancers, musicians, artists, and culinary specialists to perform for the people.
Hundreds of onlookers fill the streets every morning to sample local cuisine, admire sculptures and paintings, and listen to a week's worth of continuous live music. During the day, a collection of judges observe the dance, music, art, and cooking competitions that can be observed by the visitors. At night, the square of Provo is lit in tea lights and the summer air is heavy with sweat and beer. Care to join the party?

Welcome
Hello everyone, and welcome to our first minor event. For the Festival of Light, we're creating a sub-board in Provo where anyone willing to play off the scenario can create a thread. Your character can attend, socialize, or otherwise spice up the festival all while choosing whether or not to participate in a series of competitions held during the day. All participants in the dance, music, art, or culinary competitions will be paid 500 gil for their time. 30,000 gil will be awarded to the winners of each competition. Have fun!
Rules
- No character limit - use as many as you want!
- Create threads for the Festival of Light only within the specified sub-board
- If you wish for your character to participate in one of the competitions, simply describe their performance or creation and reply to this thread with your character's name and a link to where the submission is described.
- If only one character enters a competition, that character will win by default.
- If multiple characters enter, then the winner will be decided based on talent displayed in their games followed by the quality of the performance or creation described. If all things are equal, a random number generator will tell us the subjective bias of the judges to pick a winner.
