As the fight between the two Eikons ended and she allowed herself to open her eyes she felt pain and sorrow where moments before were only joy. looking at the feather in the palm of her hand as her aether and flames danced around it she recalled the last conversation she had with her mother:
Sitting at the table with Ariandel to their side and her Mother at the other she looked up from the letter she finished reading to meet her eyes. She didn't know how to address the fact she planned this without her consent let alone how she should react to the content of her proposal. She gently placed the letter down on the desk in front of herself face down. Straightening her posture her hands resting her hands on one another above the letter as her eyes gazed at it while she searched for the right words to adress her mother's proposed plan. Taking more than a couple of seconds to find them, looking up to meet her eyes once more. "I understand why you believe this is necessary, I know better than anyone why it should be done." She paused to as she thought back to the work she had done while a member of the Undying. Her gaze wondering away from her mother in thought onto the table. "I have listened to the Undying, witnessed men without flame speak words that were not his. I have seen them train men who had no other choice but to serve or starve, and in their name I have done things my flame didn't agree with. They are shadows. Shadows which surround the Phoenix, leaving him and his flame alone in the dark." She glanced at Ariandel who quietly listened to her words seemingly unbothered by them. She knew he looked at their work as a way to ensure Rosaria's prosperity and while he might have distanced himself from the pain and fear they caused in the hearts of Sanbreque men, she knew was still hurt from witnessing how heartless her methods could be if they were justified in her eyes, From dealing with men who caused suffering to bearers to convincing once loyal Sanbreque guards to be loyal to her. "I have seen them give purpose to men who had none and I have seen them teach bearers of flame and light how to wield a blade. It is with their help I had the chance to guide and teach bearers of Fire and Light." She lifted the letter and place it in the middle between her and her mother before finishing continuing. "What you are asking of me is not necessary and it never will be, you have my word..." She took a pause to remind herself Ariandel was still present and she couldn't say the words she was thinking to discourage her mother from acting on her plan alone. "...I understand Rosaria and Phoenix." Her mother didn't understand her flame's nature which yearned to heal the Phoenix even now when all seemed lost and the way she attemted to heal them was untested and desperate. She had to followed the advice she gave every bearer she took under her wings. "forgive me" She whispered as she made peace with her choice, closing her eyes as she continued with her spell to give her flame to the Phoenix in an attempt to heal them.
"Dearest child of flames
lay your head to sleep
close your little eyes
fear not the dark of your nightmares
In loving embrace of your flame
forget your days filled with tears
dream away without fear
surrounded by flames what do you see ?
the weight of tomorrow fading away
a future, gentle and carefree
this little song i'll sing for you until you wake
to a new dawn free of pain"
Her thoughts went to the dead and dying Rosarians. They were descendants of the flame and to her that was reason enough to mourn their unfulfilled dreams and the lives they could have had if only she listened to what her flame have been compelling her to do ever since she watched Clive spar with the Lord Commander: Stop fearing the consequences and finally introduce herself to Joshua and Clive and take the two of them under her wing. Provide them the reassurance and guidance they need for both the Rite Of Ancestral Communion in the morning, and the war against the Iron Kingdom that was to come after.
She couldn't help her tears as she thought back to Ariandel's silly idea of her sparring with the first shield right then and there in front of everyone. The joy she felt as she looked at how happy all of them were was too precious to disturb. 'I should have done it.' Her gentle and calming voice gave into her sorrow that came with the thought of all the things she would do differently today given another chance. The images her mind conjured into being hurt more than she could have imagined knowing there was nothing she could do to stay and provide them the carefree life they truly deserved. "Can you hear my plea to heal your little flame ?" were the last words of hers before the world around her faded away. At last there was no more suffering to be had, only the comfort of the Phoenix remained. Opening her eyes at first she thought this was simply a dream or a vision from the Phoenix, with every passing second she became more aware of herself, the cold surface on which she layed, the air which filled her lungs, the faint warmth of her flame through her body trying to ease the painful images of the second Eikon and the Phoenix that still echoed in his mind.
Getting up and looking around for her sword she found herself in a dim hallway of seemingly fallen design. Her heart was gripped by fear as she realized where she was and what likely happened. Placing her closed hand over her chest she tried to hold back the feelings of sorrow that threatened to surge forth and overwhelm her. Feeling like she was losing her balance she braced her hand against the the closest side of the hallway as she struggled with her emotions of sorrow and pain. "By your flames all our pain and suffering will one day fade away" As she recalled those words she noticed she didn't feel like her flame was different...what shouldn't be if it was joined by that of the Phoenix. 'I'm...not the Warden of fire ?' The realization took a few moments to sink in as her attention was drawn to her flame. Feeling the relief and happiness that washed through her she couldn't stand anymore. Falling to her knees as she allowed herself to cry for the first time since she accidentally injured a bearer while sparring. "thank you." She said quietly as her voice quivered, there was a chance both her and Joshua survived tonight. Blinking away her tears she took several deep breaths to help her mind collect herself while the joy and relief slowly faded. Wiping away the tears after a few minutes she had the presence of mind to realize she could not rest yet, not until she ensured Joshua and Clive were safe and the second Dominant was dead.
Rising to her feet she held out her palm to call on her flame and conjure a tiny orb of fire into her hand to help her take a look at her surroundings. Looking over to the circular platform next to her, what likely was the way topside. The idea to go outside and slaughter what Sanbreque soldiers remained called to her flame, they would deserve it for the pain and suffering they brought and the flames they extinguished within Rosarians, but if she was here the Undying must have carried the Phoenix deeper into the Apodytery and in her state she couldn't hope to hold her own against more than a few soldiers at a time let alone another dragoon or the dominant. With that idea burnt away and she took a step back and turned around to face the door at the other end of the hallway. 'It should have stayed open for a time after the Phoenix went through' Looking at the crystal embedded within the door for a moment she considered her earlier idea again, whatever was behind it was only for the Warden of Fire as far as the Undying was concerned. She shook her head, throwing away such concerns before she walked up to it before allowing her orb that floated around her to fade. Hesitantly placed her right hand up to the crystal and closed her eyes, concentrating on her flame. Only the Phoenix mattered, the faint shadows that came to surround his flame could reprimand her all they wanted once Joshua was safe.
As the crystal in the door came to life and the hallway behind her lit up her sight came to rest on what resembled the drawings her mother had of a Mothercrystal's heart. Lost in trying to take in the quantity and clarity of aether she felt radiating from it. For a moment she stood still in awe, gazing at the sight as tiny specks danced around the crystal, illuminating the chamber and taking in what her flame felt. She didn't even notice she walked the length of the chamber before she stood before the stairs leading to the crystal. Blinking away her awe and looking to the side she looked around the chamber to see she was alone and there was nowhere else to go and Joshua was not here. 'He is with Ariandel and Clive' She reassured herself to silence her thoughts. She turned to leave, steadying herself mentally for what might await her. Feeling frightened about the thought she might have to face the dominant alone.
Still her flame burned with the desire to avenge the suffering visited upon The Phoenix and Rosaria by that dominant. That haunting sight as she watched it...She felt a small part of that horrible feeling of helplessness creep back into her mind. 'I won't let it happen again Phoenix...I promise.' Closing her eyes she concentrated on her flame, it's ever present comfort allowing it to be drawn towards the crystal to calm her mind. "Everything will be alright" She told herself, but she knew she had little hope of killing a dominant without her sword as it's absence severely limited her ability to safely wield her flame and even if she had it she would need to kill them before they called on part of their Eikon's flame to aid them.
A sharp inhale of shock accompanied a realization: She was welcome despite not having the flame of the Phoenix which she already suspected she would be thanks to her nature and flame, but there was nobody here with her and the hallway was dormant when she awoke. "Can you hear my plea to heal your little flame ?" Quietly singing the words she lifted her head and turned back towards the crystal "That is why you brought me here, isn't it Phoenix ?"She asked quietly, thinking out loud. 'Because i don't need it...' Taking slow steps towards the stairs once more she recalled some of the images her mind conjured up before she sacrificed herself and her flame trying to heal Joshua and the Phoenix:
Sparring with Clive and teaching him how to wield his flames as a Shield. Helping Clive stand up to that woman who doesn't deserve to be blessed by his presence for treating him as she does. Teaching him and Joshua to understand and listen the flames within them. Taking Catherine under her wing, overseeing her training witnessing her becoming a member of the Undying, she deserved that much as a bearer of fire. Taking the steps one at a time she already felt her flame be revitalized by the aether around her. Reaching the crystal she brought her hands in front of herself, placing his right hand over the backside of her left and closed her eyes. "Your flames shall rest under my wings as long as they need, on my flame I swear Phoenix." While she meant the first part figuratively as she wasn't a dominant, the promise on her flame was one she didn't make lightly. It was the least she could do to repay all the Phoenix did for her. Gently placing her hand on the crystal she felt her flame be reinvigorated as she listened to the aether around her and from within the crystal.
As frustrating as captain Alexander was when she first met him after the Remembrance Ceremony she found his words on the Iron Kingdom held more truth than she realized at the time. No matter how mindless men could be at times they were never without their primal instincts.
Most men only saw what was in front of them. They cared for themselves, not their kingdom. What meant they could be deceived easily if one knew simple things that could be learned through patience and observation. Claiming she had authority and influence over those they feared while giving extensive details of their sins in the company of Ariandel and a few bearers of light was often enough to ensure they believed her words and did as she told them be they organized bandits or unfortunate men in a position valuable to her intelligence.
Seeing the man who reminded her of the shadows of The Phoenix take steps towards her she knew for certain calling on her flame and disturbing it's quiet slumber was not nescessary if he was allowed such freedom. These four men were not observant enough to be a threat. "I am sorry for the trouble, milady." While his garb seemed similar to that of the Undying it was rare any of them spoke to her this way. Ariandel was the only shadow of The Phoenix who addressed her as "milady". Watching the man close the distance between them to grab him by the neck of his robe, than answer his question with: "You slept with my wife, that's what you've done!" She couldn't decide whether to chuckle at how childish it was or shake her head at how far men could fall without guidance. Her serious expression was replaced by joy for a moment as she smiled. 'They truly are like children sometimes.'
"You are.. convincing, for sure, but this is very unlikely. I can assure you I haven't been in bed with someone in... Well, eons." Why he was still arguing was beyond her, words did little when it came to The Iron Kingdom's men and the men surrounding him were no different. "And... I am in love with someone." "With her, of course!" "No, I-" She averted her eyes as the man punched him. Not because of the sight of violence, but because of the memory her flame remembered clearly. The day her flame felt the need to care for another and became more than a blade of the Phoenix.
Seeing him break free from the man's hold only to continue arguing with someone who punched him twice she felt the need to warn them. 'Their ignorance wouldn't listen.' She thought to herself before turning away from the group slightly and looked up towards the sky while they mocked him "Founder, How far have they fallen from your shining Rosalith ?" Having seen how high they could fly given a purpose and faith in Greagor's light she wondered what would she do with these men in her place. 'This wasn't what you fought for, they must be more than this.'
Turning her head back towards the group to witness man turn towards her than be pinned to the wall moments later didn't bother her flame, still her mind could never forget the fear in Catherine's eyes in that moment she felt her flame's need to protect her. "Well, guess we can have fun with her instead. She's here anyway.." She knew the man behind the other three deserved to understand his own nature. These men on the other hand still deserved a choice in both her and Greagor's eyes.
She took a second to think on her words before she faced them. "Think about yourself." She repeated the man's words clearly to them before she held a deliberate pause, allowing them to realize it while she raised her palm, gathering the smallest amount of eather she could and turn into a tiny orb. "Everything dear to your hearts..." She continued as the flame she conjured lifted from her hand to float forward ever slightly in front of her chest. Her kind tone slowly turned into one filled with pity as she spoke. "Every moment of joy and love. Why throw it all away for this ? You could be so much more than what you are now, You need only step aside and fulfill your dreams."
Her eyes found the two men behind them. "What is it you want from this life ?"
She owed The Founder this much, to allow these men to make their own choice. Blinking away the pity she felt towards him, her right hand moved behind her to find the hilt of her dagger under her cloak. The flame before her moved above her left shoulder after her second step towards the three of them while the emotions she once held were replaced by concentration and focus on both them and her flame. 'In the cold of these nights we look to you, to save us from darkness and guide us towards light.' She owed it to Greagor to grant them a quick end.
She needed a moment to come to terms with her new reality, to not think about her purpose and duty for a single day and instead try to enjoy the fact She lived once more. She had earned the rest in her eyes for what she had done. The answers for the Original Sin and the mysteries of what happened at Phoenix gate could wait and she would be most unwise to make demands or requests to anyone in this new world on the assumption they understood the Phoenix and respected it the way the Undying or those in Rosaria did.
For now taking a walk would serve well to clear her head and process the events without spending all day planning like she was in Sanbreque again.
Looking at her reflection in the water of a canal her mind wondered on the day she returned to Rosalith. What did Aryandel find in her report so significant to him alone ? Why did he have so little faith in Clive's ability to learn from her ? His talents clearly rested in his swordsmanship, but that didn't mean he could not learn some of her and use the blessing of the Phoenix in more refined ways!
The thought bothered her, but not as much as the footsteps which stopped behind her instead of going on about their day like the rest who walked by. "Your Majesty..." The voice called to her. 'I can't even walk around in this world without being mistaken for nobility because of my cloak even for a day ?' She thought in frustration.
She usually enjoyed when someone mistook her for nobility. While working in Sanbreque relying on the assumption of others she was someone with authority over them was of great us in the last week leading up to the Remembrance ceremony. Part of her enjoyed that day mayhaps a little too much, the feeling being respected by those around her. "...don't you think you should grant us some of your wealth out of your genenerous heart ?" For the moment however she wanted only to be left alone with her thoughts, no matter how much she might enjoy it on any other day.
She took a deep breath and sighed before lifting her head slightly to speak. "I shall do my best to consider it." She said before turning around to the sight of not some lone resident of the city who had nothing better to do than bother her, but four peoples who seemed to be waiting for her generosity. It immediately made her be more alert as even if these were mere thiefs there were still four of them far too close for her comfort and there were far too many innocent peoples around for her liking if they choose to be foolish about this.
She took a quick glance at each of them before placing her back firmly towards the water. "I believe all four of you have been valuable and hard working citizens of our nation and i will reward each and every one of you." While she talked she slowly moved her hands behind her back. Her right hand holding onto the hilt of her dagger under her cloak and her left hand to hide from sight the brightness of the circle of fire which appeared in the palm of her hand every time she used her flames this way instead of casting from her palm.
"You and you alone can weigh your worth in coin. Have you even considered your worth ?" As she spoke she conjured 3 small orbs of fire in front of each of them at her chest's height in a line. Their purpose was not to take their lives or harm them seriously. They were conjured to discourage them from getting ideas and to separate them from herself in some way. What worked great as they quickly took steps away from the flames hovering in place.
She thought about doing more to convince them to leave her be, but she was not about to tax herself for some thieves. Of course those who decided to stay around and watch like she was doing this for their entertainment were a concern as well. She could do a lot more to ensure their safety, but the idea of giving herself a headache or making her nose bleed again by taxing herself over strangers who were foolish enough to put themselves in harm's way was not inviting.
"You may consider your free will a gift from my heart." All but one of them understood what to do with their free will. Staring at the flames she conjured long after the other three left. likely out of fear or curiosity. While the other orbs faded she allowed him to look at the ones he was so captivated by without a word.
"Thank you...your grace." The young man finally said once they made eye contact and he realized he had been looking at the orbs between them for more than a minute and still lived.
She turned back to the water without bothering with him. She was certain he was thankful for his life after today and would choose a better path.
Conjuring the feather once more into her hand to reassure herself of Joshua's health and the fact he was alive she could not help but feel bothered about the fact the other three might not be so wise. Looking at its gentle glow she closed her eyes as the words she spoke to Aryandel came to her mind 'Do they not deserve the choice to wake up to a brighter dawn ?'
Closing her hand and making both the feather and the remaining orbs fade into ambers which quickly faded she took hurried steps in search of them befor they found someone else. Surely they were still close by.
Walking for a few minutes she found not who she looked for but a far more urgent sight as she turned a corner of a small street to see a man clearly having a misunderstanding with others...this was not something her nature or duty allowed her to ignore.
As she too her initial steps towards them she took a deep breath just in case they had weapons on them unlike those she encountered minutes before her right hand found the hilt of her dagger once more.
"What is it you seek to gain from such a man ?" She called out to get their attention from the direction they were chasing the man towards just moments before. Even without looking closely she saw he had not much of value so surely the issue went beyond coin. "Did he hurt someone you hold dear? Did he say something wrong?" As she slowly walked up to the group her eye carefully looked over each of them. It was clear they didn't view her as a threat by the lack of action against her beyond a warning to leave from one of them who had the intention to come to her. "What is it you want from this world ?."
She stopped as she raised her left hand towards the man, ambers quickly gathered into a flame. Without a word casting fire towards them what suddenly faded in a blink of an eye before it would reach him. Not because she choose to not harm him ,but because of the faint sense of pain she felt in her hand. Causing her to take her eyes off of him and her thoughts from following through with her magic.
'From such fundamental use ?' It was not a good sign that she was already being strained by such basic and practiced uses of her flames. And feeling pain no less instead of a numbness what should manifest long before any pain as the sign to not strain herself further. She believed she would be fine, but it was clear she needed more time to rest after what happened.
As her mind returned to the problem in front of her she saw that If nothing else she earned their attention and the shock of the man who seemingly was busy rethinking his life choices as he looked at her. The flames fading from her palm and she lowered her hand to her side to try resolve this without pain for both them and herself. "Please, value your life. Let him walk to me."
It was a heartfelt request as she had nothing more than her dagger with her. What still worried her after the dragoon and made her feel uneasy in the moment as the memory was not a pleasant one. And she would rather not suffer the pain it would take safely walk to him in light of her present state.
The choice was not hers to make unless the bard does something foolish and forces her hand.
Sia has a caring and compassionate heart filled with the need to help those less fortunate. This manifesting most often in her willingness and patience to help the work of others; from helping them with their research and reports all the way to sparring with those she worked with in Sanbreque.
Unlike most of the Undying she believes she had a responsibility to embody the nature of the Phoenix.Encuraged by her not suffering the curse and the sense of porpouse she found in working towards ensuring the flames of her phoenix remain bright and joyful forever. This manifested most often as a forgiving and gentle nature to those around her. comforting and reassuring those she worked with in Sanbreque and offering a choice to anyone she saw potential in to serve her phoenix, no matter how missguided they were.
She has a hard time trusting others until she understands their nature in full and knows them to be trusthworthy and competent in keeping her trust. Trusting bearers comes significantly easier to her as she sympathizes with them.
In contrast to her behavior towards those she values she will gladly manipulate or harm others if it serves the interest of the Phoenix in the long term and there is no way to avoid cause suffering in pursuit of those interests. Pitying their choice to experience suffering and pain instead of listening to the flame within them and cooperating with her.
III. BACKGROUND
One to two paragraphs to describe their occupation and/or fighting style.
Thanks to the Undying training her as an assassin she learned to be profficent with a dagger.
She learned to use one-handed swords as well but she is not quite as skilled with them as she neglected maintaining her skill in favor of using her flames to solve any situation where a concealed dagger was not enough.
she explored many old ruins throught Rosaria and Sanbreque in search of manuscripts and relics to satisfly her coriosity about Eikons and the phoenix before leading an effort to infiltrate the Holy empire of Sanbreque in order to ensure they would favor any sort of cooperation Rosaria proposed. After which she Returned to Rosalith where the time she didn't spend on ensure Joshua and Clive's well being, was spent on researching the blight and exploring the northern territories as part of her research.
Her Fighting style involves a great deal of magic and the more Aether she uses the more taxing fighting becomes on her health in the short term due to her subcouncously casting *cure* throught her body and as a result not being effected by the curse, because of this she focuses on leveraging her agility to evade strikes if she can to conserve her strenght for offensive magic.
Her magic cosists of: -fire,other non-lethal use of fire magic(She has great controll over this part of her magic as she used this most often. Ranging from simple things like reading by her flames and lighting her surroundings while traveling at night, using it to disarm inexperienced soldiers and bandits by casting fire precisely at their hands to make them drop their weapons. All the way to using it to present herself as more capable than she accually was, most often by conjuring in truth harmless orbs of fire that simply looked identical to more lethal spells.)
-cure(she is unaware of the fact she is capable of casting it and heal others.)
-fira(She has less controll over it as she didn't use it as much as fire, since it causes her discomfort even after casting a limited number what she doesn't like experiencing.
-Precise casting of barriers(She has great precision with her defensive magic even for the pain practicing it cost her as her teqnique requires a lot of Aether use in a short time what is especially draining on her health. )
-Firaga(With a crystal she is in theory able to cast it safely as far as she believes, otherwise she avoids the idea of casting it or anything what requires similar amount of Aether use since casting it requires her to bear great pain. Causing her to loose her ability to pay attention to her surroundings and defend herself until she recovers from it. even if she used no magic beforehand. )
IV. HISTORY
Five paragraphs minimum for history.
Born into the land of Valisthe 25 years before Phoenix gate in a small town to an ordinary family. Her childhood would be troubled by the secret she kept from those around her except her mother who witnessed the moment she awakened as a bearer a few weeks after her birth. Concealing it from everyone else, including Sia's father who hated those who could use magic for reasons Sia would never come to know.
At first her childhood was like any other's. Until she came to see for herself what her mother talked about when she explained what Sia was. One night after her 13th birthday as she awoke from a nightmare she saw the flames in her hand...her flames which faded as her panic did once she realized she was safe. After that night she would not only need to explain away why she took an interest in Eikons and magic suddenly to her father, but why was she spending so much time alone. The answer to both of these questions was the Phoenix. She found a kind of comfort in it. Both in her dreams and in guiding her every day, granting her confidence in standing up for herself when it was necessary.
On Her 17th birthday the life she knew would come to an end as she felt herself obligated to break up a fight between her father and a hooded figure who was peacefully writing a letter. She knew not why her father picked a fight in the Inn they planned to stay at for the night with such a peaceful soul, but then again he was not one to think much to begin with. For all she knew the color of the person’s hood annoyed him. Seeing the figure clearly start to lose made Sia realize she needed to interween lest her father tries to take a life be it by choice or accident. Not because she cared about the person beneath the hood or because her father ment enough to her to keep him from doing such an act, but because it was wrong to take his life and surely the Phoenix would agree its flames be used to protect the innocent. Even with the consequences it might. “In the name of the Phoenix you will stop this at once.” These words she spoke would change her life forever. And drastically changed Ariandel’s week from his usual duties to the Undying from what he usually did to sending a letter to Rosalith detailing what had taken place, besides his usual report.
Not a week from that day passed and she was in Rosalith.Taking the opportunity offered to her by Ariandel. At first the idea was met with some concern from the senior members, but she was already here, knew of the Undying and Ariandel said he would take responsibility for her. Ariandel was granted the chance to train her. Sia was granted a chance to do what she wished and she would soon prove to be devoted in every sense of the word. She would often be found fallen asleep in the midst of reading one of many books the Undying had access to. At first her quarters would remain empty for a while as she would sleep very little. Excited and full of joy as this was everithing she wished for. For the first time she felt like she and her flames were valued. Devoting herself to her training with Ariandel she became a member of the Undying in just 2 years of time.
With her training finished Ariandel had hoped she would at least take a break before she began her work. She however felt perfectly well and began immediately. She spent most of her time investigating fallen ruins others believed too dangerous to explore, be it because of the fallen guarding them or nearby bandits. Bringing Ariandel along to prove him that she would be fine. Later go alone to search for artifacts and manuscripts in both Rosaria and Sanbreque to satisfly her thirst for knowledge about Eikons and the phoenix.
Once she began experimenting with her flame's limits she strangely found it like she was not being effected by the curse. Instead as she found out thanks to the pain she experienced from casting Firaga. The cost seemed to be her short term well being for channeling too much aether at once. What manifesed rapidly once she reached a point what was too much. Not wishing to experience that again she Experimenting with crystals to limit the amount of Aether she was using while casting.
For the first time, much to Ariandel’s surprise Sia seemed to take a break and remain in Rosalith. However to Sia it was not. She had found her purpose: Ensure Clive and Joshua never feel sorrow or pain as long as she lives. And help the Undying in the meanwhile as she was a memeber by proof reading reports or helping Rosarian soldiers here and there with training.
The problem free and happy life Joshua and Clive seemed to live was something that brioght her great comfort and...even if she could never live such a happy life.
And it was for that reasion she proposed a plan to the Undying what involved sending her and Ariandel to Sanbreque to ensure the Undying were aware of the emperor's political intentions by covertly convincing those who might be preview to such information.
At first it seemed like an impossible task, but slowly with patience they found a few they could rely on to be their ears and eyes without revealing their affiliation to Rosaria.
Part of her became rather fond of figuring out what might make someone loyal to her or simply themself instead of Sanbreque be it wealth, personal success, care for their family and loved ones,or their morality. Her methods would surprisingly often simply exploit the fact they were at the end of the day selfish and contrast to her not bearers. To her it mattered little what method she used as it was nescessary to perform her duty to the Phoenix.
It took nearly 2 years to finish their work during wich she had gathered around herself quite a few who were aiding her plan. Either out of conviction in what her plan might bring once it was complete for Sanbreque and Rosaria, out of the feeling of porpuse she gave to those who had none before or simly for the pay she offered for such little work they had to do for a stranger. After which Sia took it upon herself to convince an astrologer on the fact The founder and Greagor wished for the two nations to prosper together. She could not exactly verify the product of her work directly, but being appointed to be present at the rememberence ceremony was more than enough proof for her.
At the rememberence ceremony things went better than she expected. Clive didn't feel the need to stand next to his brother all the time,Joshua and Dion seemed to get along well as far as she could tell. It brought her much needed comfort to know all was well finally and she could return to Rosalith.
She spent much of her time in Rosalith, Witnessing how much Clive's skills improved, to her surprise seeing the same joy of life from Jill she saw in Clive and Joshua. Her research into the Blight would see her explore the notheern territories. Returning to Rosalith just in time to watch Clive finally win against Murdoch.
Once at Phonix gate she would fall asleep as she needed her strenght for the days to come. That Night as well deserved sleep took her. She dreamt of herself, standing in the courtyard as she held what she believed to be a feather of the Phoenix. Standing up she would turning her head to looking upon the Eikon of the Phoenix and for but a split moment she felt valued...then it ended, but for that fleeting moment she felt truly content, happy, the phoenix was proud of her in that moment.
Instead of waking up in the morning and taking time to contemplate what was it she just dreamed about before talking to Clive finally. She awoke from her dream of the Phoenix to the sound of a Sanbreque soldier demanding to know where Joshua was.
Fighting her way through what Sanbreque soldiers she encountered she ran into a Rosarian soldier by the name of Alexander. Their search for Clive and Joshua would be quickly interrupted by a dragoon. Defeating them took much of Sia's strenght as she had no crystal and she was not exactly prepared to fight a dragoon that night. the biggest dissadvantage was not being unprepared or the liability Alexander was during the fight, but the ringing in her ears. What only intensified once the dragoon was defeated.
Exhausted she could do little to influence the two Eikons as she witnessed what was happening. beyond conjuring the feather from her dream and continuing to channel her flames to it in hope her dream was the guidance of the Phoenix and not simply her wish to fight alongside the Phoenix. And it would somehow help Joshua. Sending Alexander to find the lord commander.
Seeing the 2 Eikons reemerge, as the phoneix seemingly ended the fight she realized, What she felt in her dream. That beautiful moment was her being proud of Joshua as he seemed to be in controll of the Phoenix.
The happiest moment of her life soon became her worst as she watched the Phoenix die. She prayed to both The Founder and Greagor to not let him die...To wake her from this nightmare. She would recieve no answer from them and would continue channeling her either into the feather she conjured until she couldn't bear the pain of her loss anymore and gave into ethernal rest.

Rosalith the capital of Rosaria. As she walked towards the castle with a young soldier by her side wo she took interest in due to his sense of duty. Reading the report she wrote on her findings in the northern territories and the blight as the pair walked through the city towards the castle. Noticing the soldier looking over in an attempt to read it she didn't bother with hiding it from his corious mind as would random letters without knowing the keyword required to understanding it, and even than reading it on the fly would be challenging without practice. His coriosity was understandable considering the bandits they encountered 2 days prior as he proved to be rather corious about her nature after that.
"I'm listening if you have words for me Alexander." She said politely to alert him to the reality that she was aware of him trying to read it.
Once she was done she handed it over to him so he could examine it as much as he wished. His face would soon be host to a great number of emotions she enjoyed noticing. He wanted to know.
Reaching the training grounds he handed it back to her without saying a word. Looking at the report in his hand she turned to him before reaching for the report but stopping her hand before grabbing it. "You need not think yourself a failiure for not understanding such a complex way of keeping secrets from prying eyes. Your talents lie elsewhere." She reassured him as she knew very well he was dissapointed in himself for not finding out how to read it.
Taking the report from his hand she started walking off, letting him return to his usuall duties, but she looked back toward him to say one last thing. "If you have the patience to learn it,find me after Clive and the lord commander finished training. You will understand it by nightfall."
Once the two parted ways She made her way over to Ariander. Allready predicting his words about how clive will loose again. Walking up the stairs to the walkway which overlooked the training area she wondered why was he so negative about his swordsmanship when he was clearly a talented first shield...He was smarter than to think that. What was it than ? Looking over to him as she ascened the last steps she continued to ponder the question as she walked over to hand him the report.
"Here to see him loose again ?" After all this time he still found the words to make her blood boil. to test her resolve and self controll. She felt pity more than anything as she stood next to him, resting her hand on the railing once he began reading her report. Looked over the training ground in search of Clive and Rodney she pondered still on Ariander's lack of belief in Clive.
"If only you could see what i see Ariander. You would understand my faith in them." She explained. Perhaps he would understand once Clive wins finally. Or once she offers to train him further once Rodney looses to him finally. "Why i seek to guide and shield them all from pain and suffering. Help them have a life they deserve to live." She closed her eyes for but a few moments to imagine it. What the world she leaves might be like once her work is done: No wars,No Branded,A world where every life was as beautiful as theirs. It made her smile a little to know it was not impossible.
