Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.
The current skin was made by Pharaoh Leap of Pixel Perfect. Outside of that, individual posts and characters belong to their creators, and we claim no ownership to what which is not ours. Thank you for stopping by.
[attr="class","ayab-text"] Oh, yes, her hair had changed when she had come here. Ryne looked up at Alex with the same, eery blue eyes she had held while under Minfilia's influence as the Oracle. She still could not quite come to terms with the reversal in her appearance and the blow it had given her. It felt as if she had taken several steps back into growing into her own person in a way. Now she resembled the girl she had been trying to grow up from. Ryne knew that it did not truly change the growth she had made during her journey, but she could not help the way she felt. "It's Ryne. I don't know why I appear as such now, but I am still myself beneath it." [break][break]
Her head tilted to the side as she regarded him curiously at his odd question. Why would she not remember him? Had no one else remembered him here on this world? Wherever this world was. Another reflection of the Source? No, Ryne did not think so at all. The pull from Hydaelyn she normally felt was non-existent and everything just felt off. Ryne did continue to cling to Alex even as he sat up, though. The affection showed to her was very much welcome as it always was to the touch-starved girl. It was the reason she had clung to Cassandra so much during their journey, as the older woman was always happy to show it to her openly. [break][break]
"Oh, that's wonderful! I am so happy she is here with you," she replied with a bright smile. There did seem to be more to the story, though. There was a tenseness to Alex when he spoke of his fellow Warrior and she wondered what had happened. Most likely a misunderstanding as even she knew Alex was not always the best at understanding others well. He certainly tried his best! But his way of thinking could be quite strange even to herself. Thancred was here, too? "That is unfortunate, but seeing you here is more than enough for now. I'm sure we shall cross paths with the others in due time." Another optimistic smile before she suddenly realized the fallen biscuits on the ground. Oh, no, those looked so sad. [break][break]
"Alex...were you going to eat those? They look stale and burnt."
[attr="class","ayab-text"] Rosa had been so kind to her! Ryne was quite sure she would not have made it as safely as she had into the city without the kind woman tending to her weary body and mind. Traveling to another world was a sincerely draining experience and she wondered how Alex and Cassie were able to do so without complaint. No doubt the magic from the Exarch made it easy once the man had finally gotten it right! But at present she was doing her best to explore this port-side city to get herself used to it's layout. It easily rivaled the size of the Crystarium and she could admit to herself that she felt a little overwhelmed. [break][break]
There was such a calmness about being so close to the sea, though! Ryne could only remember seeing the sea within the past couple of years of her life after Thancred had liberated her from her cage. No, Ran'jit had ensured she remained within the lower levels of Eulmore away from any temptations of the world beyond it to ensure her complacency. If the Scions had not been pulled to the First, then she would never have known better or that the world had plenty to offer even in its past state. Shaking those thoughts away, Ryne decided to visit the nearby park she could see to rest for a little while. [break][break]
The weather was warm enough and the sun felt quite wonderful against her cheeks. Even though the sky over Norvrandt had been filled with endless light for a century it could not compare to true sunlight. There was a much less oppressive and harsh quality to it, and she had been pleased to notice this world also held a night sky! Ryne began to walk around aimlessly for several moments before the sight of a man beneath a tree had her pausing. That messy hair was quite familiar as was the rather disgusted expression he wore. Oh, yes, she would recognize that look anywhere when said man ate any cooking that was his own! [break][break]
Ryne was already running before she could help herself and that was how Alex would find himself tumbling over from her weight as she nearly tackled him. "Alex, you're here as well! Are you alright? How long have you been here? Is Cassie here as well? The other Scions?" Questions tumbled from her lips unbidden as she clung to him tightly.

[attr="class","ayab-text"] Before she could taste any dirt, Ryne felt herself being caught quickly enough. She blinked owlishly as she lifted her bright eyes to take sight of one of the prettiest women she had ever seen. Her cheeks flushed in both embarrassment and that she was staring so unabashedly at her new savior. Words of gratitude were the first thing to press against her lips, but her throat felt quite dry as she turned her head and coughed instead. Wincing a little how rude she was acting, Ryne did her best to clear her throat so she could speak. It seemed being pulled into this world had left her body feeling quite weak as a result. Oh, how was she supposed to get back home? [break][break]
"T-thank you!" she stuttered out with a nervous smile. Meeting new people was always a welcome experience! But she still felt a little hesitation in pushing outside of her boundaries and being less shy. Gaia had certainly helped her be more assertive! The older girl was not here with her, which left her feeling more vulnerable than ever. The Scions had gone back to the Source and she had promised herself she would do her best to protect Norvrandt in their place. But now she was here all alone with only this kind woman to aid her at present. Ryne disliked being such a burden to others without meaning to be. [break][break]
"I'm just dizzy. I'm sorry for burdening you." Ryne shifted herself until she was sitting on her knees so she was not leaning her entire weight against her savior's. Her teeth sank into her bottom lip as she peered up with wide, blue eyes. "I don't know where I am. Where exactly are we?" It was the first question she could think to ask as she resisted the urge to just sink into the woman's arms and sleep.

[attr="class","ayab-text"] This was the sort of thing girls her age did, right? Ryne was still getting used to being more social and comfortable in her own skin. In all honesty, she was sure that this would be like all those outings she had had with Gaia! The young girl was already excited to see if this city offered good tea biscuits! Or she was quite tempted to try that ice rink, too! Even though she did feel terrible about how her venture with Eden had gone, she enjoyed the memory of both Alexander and Cassandra sliding about around all that ice she had summoned. Was it mean of her to find it a little amusing? The rest of that scenario would have been quite dangerous and bad if Gaia hadn't intervened, but she could admit to herself a little bit of mischief in seeing such great heroes slip about gracelessly. [break][break]
To be fair, Cassandra had done better than Alexander at least. Being a Dancer was much more graceful than sticking a giant sword into the ice and holding on for dear life. Ryne wondered how her two friends were, or if there were even in this world! Oh, she sincerely hoped someone familiar to her was. Being here on her own was quite intimidating and lonely. Sighing just a little softly, Ryne began to play with the golden strands of her hair bound back by her ribbon. The fact that the strands had reverted back to their previous color still worried her greatly. Did it mean anything or was it just an odd occurrence from this world? She really wished her hair would go back to normal, but she didn't know how to beyond dying it. And she just had too much hair to do that by herself. [break][break]
The strands slid through her fingers slowly before she shook herself out of her thoughts. Her date would be here soon and she should be excited right now! A familiar hum of nervousness swept through her at the thought. Did Ryne look alright? Would she embarrass herself? Would her date like her and have a fun evening with her? Oh, Ryne just wanted this evening to go well so she could make a new friend for herself. Having someone she could spend time with in this world would be quite nice to have.

[attr="class","ayab-text"] The first thing she tastes is dirt and the scent of acrid smoke in the air. Ryne finds herself to awakening in a coughing fit as the corrupt air of her surroundings chokes her lungs. What had happened to her? She had been preparing a basket of treats for herself and Gaia before everything had gone black and now she was here. Where was here exactly? Slowly, the young girl pushed herself from the ground into a sitting position as she attempted to regain her bearings. And then she noticed her hair. No longer could she see the soft strands of strawberry blonde. No, she saw the strinkingly golden strands of gold. The hair color she had once held when Minfilia still resided within her soul as an anchor and a sleeping weight beneath her breast. [break][break]
It nearly had her sputtering in shock as she grasped the silken strands through her fingers. What did this mean? Why did she have blonde hair once more? Ryne began to look around herself wildly in a vain attempt to recognize her surroundings, but she could find nothing familiar in front of her. No, the only thing she could see was the outline of a city before her. A steel masterpiece that she had never borne witness to. Even Eulmore failed to hold the sheer intimidation this city held. She felt herself trembling in trepidation as she wondered what this could possibly mean. She had seen almost the entirety of Norvrandt and it did not resemble this. [break][break]
She almost found herself succumbing to a panic attack before she hastily tried to staunch it. No, she could not let herself fall into a panicked state! Ryne had been through far worse and this and she would handle it calmly! Slowly, she pushed herself onto unsteady feet as she stumbled to regain her balance. Her head felt somewhat fuzzy as her surroundings began to swim before her blurry vision. Everything would be fine! All she needed to do was get to the city and see if she could find out where she was exactly! Ryne placed one hesitant foot in front of the other for several moments before her unsteady weight collapsed.
