Eillien was just starting to down the first of her planned many ales as someone else entered the bar. Certainly someone who was not of the local variety if their clothing had anything to tell Eillien. That and in her time being here in and around Sonora she had never once seen anyone that remotely looked like Fang. She could even tell that this person was experienced in all manners of life. Whatever hardships that Fang had been through were all foreign to Eillien and yet there was just a feeling deep down inside the Azure Dragoon that was telling her that Fang was someone not to be trifled with. IT certainly did not help that the Echo had not been bothering her with headaches and passing out since her earliest days upon the planet. So for once should it of wanted to share any sort of information to her about this newcomer and actually helping her was come and gone.
There was just an air about Fang that made Eillien keep her attention toward her all the while taking drinks from her ale. Watching her move and place a few gil upon the counter and order herself something strong Eillien could not help but let out a little chuckle as she set down her ale. Wrapping her gauntletted left hand around the glass she looked over directly at Fang and spoke. "Starting off heading down the hard path a little early? Usually prefer to hit the harder stuff later as I savor up some of the local flavors before diving too far."
As Eillien finished chiming up the bartender dropped down a glass in front of Fang and walked away. Many in the bar had stopped speaking as if to watch the back and forth that was seemingly brewing almost as if anticipating some sparks to fly between them. It was obvious he would not be getting in the middle of anything should these two women actually get into any sort of altercation. Lifting her glass to Fang in a sort of greeting of one would do when greeting in the midst of a bar. "Have not seen you around these parts before... Then again I am not really from around here either."

Sonora was a place Eillien always hated. Now after meeting that Ascian and being told things that she did not want to remember it seemed a night of drunken misadventures was in her future. Certainly doing this inside of the town properly was not the right way to go about anything. So instead she headed outside of the main town gates and walked down the main road about an hour to find a roadside bar and inn. Thankfully the place did not look all that down and dirty like many did on the roads outside of the major centers of commerce so she would not have to look after her things to closely so many drinks would be consumed by herself.
Pushing open the doors her metal covered feet making a noise on the wooden floor as she entered. Her eyes shifting around the room as she did this. Seeing that many of the tables were taken so it seemed that she would have to take a place up at the bar. The bar was certainly large enough so that she did not have to take the seat if she wished instead she could easily lean against it. Yet she had decided that she would do that. Taking a seat at the bar in the corner as she could so that she was able to lean her spear in the corner to keep it in arms reach should she need it.
The bartender approached her with a wide smile on his face. "Don't get to many of you fancy looking folks around here. What are you looking for tonight miss?" The attitude and the manner in which the man approached her let Eillien settle in her paranoia. Instead she gave him a warm smile in return. "I will take some of your ale to start off with. Might grab some food and stronger stuff later from you good sir. But til then just keep the glasses coming and I will make sure you get paid." With a nod the bartender slipped over toward the glasses so that he would pour her glass. Bringing it back to her with a smile upon his face as she slid him several gold gil pieces.More to signify that she was going to be serious about getting herself a tab for the night.

"How would one even become a retired AScian. The only way I could think of becoming a retired Ascian would be to either die and lose your seat in that manner or to turn against them. If it is the first then I would have to ask who it was that was able to cast you down to the mortal coil. If it the later then I would be honored to actually meet your acquaintance. As it would take a very strong person to turn away from all of that you once held." Eillien spoke her demeanor starting to change and obviously lighten as she was hoping for one of the outcomes more then the others. Everything softening as she heard him mention something that she remembered hearing a friend of hers from Ishgard once mention. A phrase of Hauchefant the man who ran the outlying camp that she had been to many a time while hunting Lady Iceheart. Nodding in agreement to Emet-Selch she could not help but understand that things were different here over anywhere else. In her time here she had only once heard the voice of Hydalen and that was the one time a long time in the past when she had been alongside many other Warriors of Light from other worlds. When he mentioned that he had no real use for the eye she could not help but feel relief flush over her. "That is good to know that you have no plans for the Eye. As I for one have none as I said. Other then keeping it away from any who might abuse its power and attempt to bring the Malice of Nidhogg to this place." Pulling her hand down and letting it fall back to her side in relaxation. It was obvious that she was not fully going to let down all of her guards. Yet with that she was not going to strike out toward Emet-Selch. Hearing him mention that he was the only Ascian upon the planet that he knew of. She could tell that he was not lying to her in the moment. With everything spoken toward her she could not help but give her her usual smile. "Well then that is a good thing to know. As if there were more of you here I would be afraid to let one of you left alone. Just as I am thinking of doing right now with you. I do not see a point in us having any quarrel unless one if created between us. Yet I have sensed what you ahve. With my time being here I have come to realize that there is no Lifestream and no real way to refill ones Aether outside of our own self. I do not understand all of it but that much I know."
"With all that out in the open tell me something. What is it that you are doing here in the here and now? As a former Ascian whatever could you do?" She could not help but speak and chuckle to herself as she had not seen him during her time as a guard back here in Sonora so he had to arrived in the time since she had left town and started travelling once more. "To be honest that does not surprise me. With how long I have been on this plane and naught once have I felt the tickle of its presence." She responded as with how astute the Warrior of Lights were back on their home world and in use of the Aetheryte Crystals in their travels. Yet despite this understanding it was the next set of words that came from his lips that finally made her on edge. As she had only ever called it the Eye and not made any other mention of it. It could of been a piece of jewelry with the name, a ring, but no this man had named it perfectly without any effort. So he had to know so much more then he was letting on. Her gauntleted hand tightened ever so slightly as she turned her full attention toward Emet-Selch instead of just her passing fancy as she had been. "To be honest for you to know of its existence means you have to be from my Eorzea or at least one of the Shards... Yet I do not know you sir. Yet there are so many different places I have not been. Still since you know of the eye then you know that even should I get rid of it. Someone would eventually find it and use its malevolence to try and do whatever evil they could."
"Yet I have also felt its Aether waning bit by bit. When I first arrived here it was still swirling with the energy of its grasping into Estinen and turning him against me and the other Dragoons of Ishgard. So... I doubt I will as you say it 'bask in my Dragonsong'. I will die to protect this artifact from any who would use it to harm this world or to try and take it back to Eorzea." She spoke plainly and with a conviction that she felt deep down into her own center of self. Eillien was a stubborn as a mule dragoon that was certain. Though his last bit of speech caught her fully off guard. To draw out somethings Aether to render it inert was not known but by a select few. A few that she had just had the displeasure seeing murder a fellow Scion just before she was brought here. Narrowing eyes looked directly at Emet-Selch as she felt herself not recoil from him but instead feel herself slip slowly toward a fighting stance. With venom covering her words she spoke up. "Ascian... Of course you would be on this plane as well. IT is too good to not have one of your ilk here... What is next. Is Lahabrea going to emerge from his blasted spell and gloat over yet another attempt to destroy the Scions? Or is Nabriales going to reappear from the death she so strongly deserved after smiting down one of my allies?"Her left hand had raised as she spoke and was now on the shaft of the spear that hung over her back as she was ready should Emet-Selch push forward and attempt to strike at her. It was only a short time as she started to think about what Emet-Selch had said. Could something that she had brought with her draw in the anger of any wyvern or dragon that was within the mountain ranges around the city. It was but a slight move of her eye as she figured out what it could of. The very Eye that she had been told to hold onto and keep safe from any and everyone. This was what she was truly going to do and yet now thanks to him she was starting to doubt if she had really done the smartest thing in bringing it alongside her. Instead she was thinking that she might’ve had to just toss it down the deepest crevasse back in the mountains that she had emerged from.
“Who knows if something had drawn them in or not. If anything had done that it could have been the Eye. Which is one of the reasons that I am tossing it onto my person and keeping me as far away from towns in the upcoming future.” She had to speak and refute and yet confirm something that he had speculated. She had heard that each and ever Azure Dragoon had a long life of fighting dragons and wyverns. It was now starting to make sense. Maybe it was truly the eye that drew each Azure Dragoon to their deaths eventually wearing them down to nothing due to constant fighting.
Hearing him talk about not relying upon her god here was a little in sense. As she had a feeling that Hydalen while strong did not reach quite so far into this world. As it seemed that so many people had lost a lot of their own faith in everything that they may have had in the past. Taking a short time to collect her mind as she was thinking about what he was saying. “It does seem that none of the gods that people believe in are here or are able to assist their followers here. I have heard people speak on praying to the crystals like the beastmen, believing in a world spanning stream of life, or even the planet itself being their god. It is all but a little odd to me as I still try and keep what little faith, I have in Hydalen. It at least seems to keep… my mind settled.”
Finishing up speaking she could not help but sigh a little. As despite all of her bravado she was not going to allow whatever had taken over Estinen take her over. No matter what she was going to be keeping her mind as calm as possible.

Her hand was shaken and an introduction was given back to her. No fancy titles and nothing else to the man besides the name of Solus. A name that was completely lost to Eillien as when she had left Eorzea and the Source she had never encountered anyone with that name. So she knew nothing of him and what he had done on the First and how he had been the Founder of the Garlean Empire. With a warm smile upon her face she could not help but give him the smile that showed she was finally at ease. "A pleasure to meet you Solus. Quite the unique name if I must say so."As she finished speaking she pulled her hand back and let it hang off to her side and rest just beside the Eye on her hip. Standing there she listened to him speak and take her apology in stride. It was welcome that she had not been taken to task by apologizing as such. Usually her tone and mood was different but that was usually after a few drinks in an inn or tavern. So for now she listened and awaited a moment to respond to Solus inside of. When he finished talking she could not help but give a nod of her head to acknowledge that she was in no real hurry to return home. "To be honest I do not how it is that I came to these lands, but I have found these people no less deserving of my protection. As I had done some months back when a horde of dragons appeared in the sky and I did what comes natural to a dragoon of Ishgard. Defend people from dragon attacks." As she spoke she shifted her weight a little the pommel of the spear tapped the ground lightly. Raising a gauntleted hand to her chin she took a moment to collect her thoughts before continuing. "As for returning home... Hydalen knows why I came here. She would be the only one to know how I could return to Ishgard and help against the Hordes of Nidhogg as many have before me in my position." Her words calm and with purpose as she knew not to really sugarcoat anything. Some considered it a fatal flaw of the Azure Dragoon. Yet for her it was a strength as people did not have to wonder where they stood with her. She would tell them to their face if they were bothering her. (( Emet-Selch ))

As she sat there she could not help but feel things just settled with a full set of unease. This unease permiated every single sense. Just as it tended to do while she carried this accursed eye. Yet this time the unease did not come from the eye instead it just seemed to fill everything around her. This all however stopped in the very moment that snapped her back to reality. There was a man suddenly next to her. His features simple and plain compared to many of those that she usually spent time around. Yet despite the appearance of the man's face she could not help but feel that unease as she took in his blackened robes. To her it felt alot like the look of Lahabrea whom she had just dispatched but a few months before her arrival upon this new world. Yet that felt as if it was decades ago to her. Closing her eyes but for a moment she heard him speak up asking her something simple. Was she truly looking for something in the current moment? Or was she just kind of going along with the flow of everything? Those were two things that bothered her to her very core. Opening her green eyes she looked over at Emet-Selch and drug up the smile upon her face. "Honestly I do not know what it is that I seek anymore. Since coming here I have but traveled and protected people as I would of had to for my home. Yet there are many burdens that someone like myself carry that we do not speak outward toward anyone."Letting her words go out and linger in the air between them as her own doubts were rather easily seen. She was something of a rudderless ship in the midst of a new ocean and she has had nothing but her own guidance and steering to assist her in this. Yet despite this ruderless appearance there was a fierce demeanor beneath the words. It took but a few seconds as she moved to stand up without slouching any cause of the pack on her back as she set that down upon the ground. "Where are my manners. Just unloading upon a stranger to whom I just met. Eillien Blaires, Azure Dragoon of the Holy See of Ishgard at your service."As she introduced herself she extended her hand to Emet-Selch in greeting. Her title and name both spoken with pride and yet he would know so much more then she in the fate of her homeland. (( Emet-Selch ))

Sonora was a place that Eillien had not been expecting to have to be returning to so quickly after returning to meet with Faris and agreeing to join her crew. There were quite a few things that she had left back up in Sonora. So she had to return to her place and gather them up before she would full time relocate to the port town and its busy streets. Thankfully she had the powerful legs and she could just about fly through the air with her jumps. Instead of the several weeks that it took her the last time when she traveled from Sonora to Torenstein she made the return trip in but a few days. After these few days she found herself walking back into town. As she walked along her spear lightly hitting the pavement she made her way to her apartment. Gathering up what few pieces that she cared about. Slipping everything into her bag beside the single never blinking dragon eye that she could not help but look down into as she held it in her left hand. Her eyes staring down into the eye as she could not help but feel the power that she knew it held within. Deep down inside of it she knew it was hiding its strength from her. Forcing herself to blink she sighed as she let go of the breath that she had not realized that she had been holding. Placing it inside of the pouch on her hip once more she exited her apartment and locked up the door. As there was nothing left within besides the basics she turned in the keys to her now former landlord in the office before leaving the building and beginning to walk outside. Pulling up the cloak that she had as she felt the chill of the mountain air blow and swirl about her she walked along and toward one of the many open squares of the town. Stopping there she began to contemplate if she was to stop somewhere and eat before hitting the road once more or not. (( Fin - For Account reactivate, Emet-Selch for Thread purposes ))

All of the shock of Faris actually being a woman had subsided. Though for Eillien it actually made her a little more relieved then before. As she had always prefered the company of woman over men and Faris had always been an enigma to her. She could easily see Faris' cheeks heat up in a blush, but if it was from her previous words or the alcohol she did not know. With the quickly appeared question Eillien could not help but nod at Faris. "I will not ever make a damn thing about it. As we got to have one anothers back. Especially us that need to stick together on those upcoming adventrues." She was about to ask if Faris would want another glass but the other woman stood up and looked over toward the window. Noticing the dimming light outside as well she could not help but slap her own forehead as she did not realize just how long they had been there. Hearing him speak up and mention that his friends would be needing him. That and hearing that it was appreciated that she actually reappeared and was there for Faris. Then came the words about how FAris would be needing her right hand on the seas someday and she could not help but smile at the words. Giving her a nod and a small thumbs up as she recognized the offer. "It is the least friends can do for one another after all. Want an arm to walk back with ya? Would not mind meeting this Bartz. Especially if he is as big a softie as you said he is I would love to meet em." She had slowly started to stand and move a little over toward Faris awaiting his response to her question. IF he said no that he was good she would try and find herself somewhere to call home til she slept off the upcoming hangover and miserable self. (( Faris Scherwiz ))

“A scourge on the seas? Wreaking Havoc over the high seas? You know I like the sound of that. To be honest it sounds great to just be out there.in the world just doing as we please. Not beheld to any one person, city, or country… I love the idea of it.” Eillien could not help herself but to speak it toward Faris. Knowing that this would be one hell of an adventure. One that those that she knew back home would love to hear upon her return should she ever return there. She knew that no one would hold her becoming a pirate against her as there were some that had done such a thing already in their ranks. Though she could not help but raise an eyebrow at Faris admitting that she had almost once ransomed off their own sister. This was something that was unexpected to say the least. “You inadvertently kidnapped your own sibling? She dropped out of the sky onto you? That is crazy and I never expected to hear from you.” There was several things that she could not help but laugh to herself as she finished off another of her drinks. Inside her mind there was several things that she was thinking about when something came around that she had not expected. Faris was actually a woman and had inadvertently let it slip. This was something that she had not expected to say the least. “Wait you are a woman? I always thought you were a man? To be honest I… I’m not all that disappointed. You are still my friend and to be honest if you are it makes things a little better for my own psyche.” She spoke as it was obvious that there were a few things that were going through her mind in the moment. So many things that ran through her mind as she had always been attracted toward women in her life and Faris had been a man in her mind had confused her. Knowing now that Faris was a woman made her smile widely. (( Faris Scherwiz ))
