Sonora was a place Eillien always hated. Now after meeting that Ascian and being told things that she did not want to remember it seemed a night of drunken misadventures was in her future. Certainly doing this inside of the town properly was not the right way to go about anything. So instead she headed outside of the main town gates and walked down the main road about an hour to find a roadside bar and inn. Thankfully the place did not look all that down and dirty like many did on the roads outside of the major centers of commerce so she would not have to look after her things to closely so many drinks would be consumed by herself.
Pushing open the doors her metal covered feet making a noise on the wooden floor as she entered. Her eyes shifting around the room as she did this. Seeing that many of the tables were taken so it seemed that she would have to take a place up at the bar. The bar was certainly large enough so that she did not have to take the seat if she wished instead she could easily lean against it. Yet she had decided that she would do that. Taking a seat at the bar in the corner as she could so that she was able to lean her spear in the corner to keep it in arms reach should she need it.
The bartender approached her with a wide smile on his face. "Don't get to many of you fancy looking folks around here. What are you looking for tonight miss?" The attitude and the manner in which the man approached her let Eillien settle in her paranoia. Instead she gave him a warm smile in return. "I will take some of your ale to start off with. Might grab some food and stronger stuff later from you good sir. But til then just keep the glasses coming and I will make sure you get paid." With a nod the bartender slipped over toward the glasses so that he would pour her glass. Bringing it back to her with a smile upon his face as she slid him several gold gil pieces.More to signify that she was going to be serious about getting herself a tab for the night.

Sonora was a place that easily drew memories of Cocoon from Fang. The general feel of the city plus it's technological advancements made it feel almost like she was back. But the only snap to reality was the damn cold. Cocoon didn't have this much snow but it did have a little if you knew where to look.
Memories were nice and all but that's all they were. Memories.
Those memories were best staying locked behind the present. No one need to know about them and they weren't really needed right now. What was needed was another drink. After helping Caius get rid of a murderous monster, a drink was definitely on the list for tonight and Fang was in the perfect place for it. While they had been leaving the city of Sonora to track this monster, a small bar off the beaten path had caught her attention as a place to check out later and now happened to be later. The monster was dead and she had the gil to spend on a good drink.
With an air of confidence, Fang pushed open the door to the bar and stepped inside, barely making a sound when she entered. Instantly, her gaze settled on a woman sitting at the counter. Out of everyone, this one was the only one that stood out much like herself. It wasn't every day there was a metal wearing person anywhere. Metal was protective but too flashy. It weighed too much and caused issues when needing to stay evasive in battle. But whatever, strange attire or not, what could possibly go wrong if they sat at the same counter?
As Fang moved to sit at the counter, she could feel the occasional eye on her. It was something she was getting used to since she got those looks everywhere. These people seemed to hate foreigners almost as much as her people had hated Cocoon. A light sigh escaped her lips as she set a few gil on the countertop when the bartender came over. "Get me something strong." Strong probably wouldn't cut it but it was better than nothing. Eillien Blaires

Eillien was just starting to down the first of her planned many ales as someone else entered the bar. Certainly someone who was not of the local variety if their clothing had anything to tell Eillien. That and in her time being here in and around Sonora she had never once seen anyone that remotely looked like Fang. She could even tell that this person was experienced in all manners of life. Whatever hardships that Fang had been through were all foreign to Eillien and yet there was just a feeling deep down inside the Azure Dragoon that was telling her that Fang was someone not to be trifled with. IT certainly did not help that the Echo had not been bothering her with headaches and passing out since her earliest days upon the planet. So for once should it of wanted to share any sort of information to her about this newcomer and actually helping her was come and gone.
There was just an air about Fang that made Eillien keep her attention toward her all the while taking drinks from her ale. Watching her move and place a few gil upon the counter and order herself something strong Eillien could not help but let out a little chuckle as she set down her ale. Wrapping her gauntletted left hand around the glass she looked over directly at Fang and spoke. "Starting off heading down the hard path a little early? Usually prefer to hit the harder stuff later as I savor up some of the local flavors before diving too far."
As Eillien finished chiming up the bartender dropped down a glass in front of Fang and walked away. Many in the bar had stopped speaking as if to watch the back and forth that was seemingly brewing almost as if anticipating some sparks to fly between them. It was obvious he would not be getting in the middle of anything should these two women actually get into any sort of altercation. Lifting her glass to Fang in a sort of greeting of one would do when greeting in the midst of a bar. "Have not seen you around these parts before... Then again I am not really from around here either."

So the metal monstrosity actually spoke, seeming to mock her for the choice of something hard to start with. After handling a demon problem....it was needed. A smirk touched Fang's lips as she grabbed the glass and took a drink. "Local stuff is too weak for my taste. Then again, the stuff I'm used to could eat through that armor of yours." Even before the drink had been touched, the silence that fell through the bar hadn't gone unnoticed.
It seemed once again, these locals were waiting for some sort of altercation to break out. That would just make their day, wouldn't it? Her eyes settled back on the raised glass the stranger held before chuckling at her words. "Handling demon problems that plagued the main city have a habit of keeping people out and about." She paused for a brief moment before continuing. "And you? I don't recall metal statues walking around last time I walked into the city."
As their conversation continued, the air in the building seemed to grow tense as if the people within were expecting something to happen even more now. If it did, well at least Fang had her lance on her. It had been broken down like a three section staff, waiting for another moment of use. The echo of a smirk still remained in place, begging Eillien to say something that warranted more provocation. This was a game she could play all day, every day. Eillien Blaires
