The fact that Faris took quite a little bit to speak after agreeing to her words and continuing the conversation that they had been having. The raising of the glass between them was certainly a good thing. As for her having her friend back was most certainly the only thing that she really wanted. Knowing her own past was not being the cheeriest of pasts so she would not begin to pry anymore. There would be a chance that Faris would eventually tell her should they become closer friends. “You know that I would also love to go back home. To go back to my Ishgard and to smell its air and listen to its people once more. Yet I know that this place… Torenstein and Sonora are honestly the only places that I feel close to home. So, I like to stay in these places.” She spoke softly and shook her head from side to side. There were many things that she would speak about but now this was all about her friend. To be there for him is all that she was going to do from now on. Though she stopped her words to allow Faris to speak and ask his question. To have him ask her about joining his crew should he make one. It drew a wide smile upon her face as she knew the answer to Faris’ question without hesitation. “The answer to that is… Fuck yes I would join your crew. Hell, I would be there to be your right-hand woman should you have me. To travel the high seas and then for us to do whatever and pillage and drink and party.”
“As for your stories being from outside the law… I could care less. As this was an amazing thing to listen to. For me I got some of them that aren’t all that bad.” She could not help herself as the alcohol swung through her head and kept her loose lips. (( Faris Scherwiz ))

“There is no need to even attempt to match it Faris. You wanted a story and well I figure that I tell you the one story that changed me into the person that sits before you. The woman I was before I came to this world and to know yourself and others.” Eillien could not help but respond to Faris as the smile started to come back to her lips. Talking about the subject was a sore one and she could not help but finally let it all out toward the only person she had met on this world that she considered an ally and friend. Though it was Faris’ turn to speak and to explain to her a story that came to his mind. As Faris started she heard words that she remembered from tales of the past of Eorzea. The Rift and the Void were two things that had manifested upon her world before and continued to do so in plagues toward the people of the planet. Despite the similarities she could not help but feel her own blood run cold as Faris explained what had happened leading up to a confrontation with that warlock as he called him. Mentioning crystals Eillien could not help but nod in acknowledgement. As she knew of the power that the crystals in her world had. She could not even imagine the power that they could have inside of other worlds linked to this one. Yet it seemed that the crystals held even more sway over the world that Faris came from. “You make my story sound like the preamble to a larger story by comparison Faris. You yourself have been through a hell that I cannot imagine. Yet now you are doing better. Well better enough then before. We both are…” She spoke as she looked down at her drink before lifting her gaze back toward Faris. There was something that she knew was being unsaid as if there was another person that Faris was not speaking about. However, she would not be pressing the subject any at all. Lifting her glass toward Faris once more. “To our past self and to our new future. Though I do have another story for you. This story was something funny. Before I came here, I was walking through a place called Gridania. It is a forest kingdom and within it one day I saw a chocobo get loose and run full force through a stall bowling over the owner who was a lalafell. A lalafell is a shorter humanoid from Eorzea.” (( Faris Scherwiz ))

“It may be hard but we have both done it. To help friends when they need it the most I mean. With those two not knowing anything about themselves and this world… Having you there to keep them grounded and as a place of port in their mental storm. I wish that I had a friend like you here when I first arrived to help me gather myself instead of wandering as I did.” As she spoke it was obvious just how much having a friend within this world meant to her. To have Faris meant more than she could think on. Her words were a simple response to Faris as she could not help but spew it from her mouth. As she finished up a waitress came by and Eillien lifted her mug to her to indicate that she wanted another and she got a nod of acknowledgement. Turning back to the table she heard the question and asking from Faris about a story from her own world. This was difficult as she knew of a few that she could talk about. The tattoo on her upper back a constant reminder about the largest single moment of her life. The waitress placed another mug down upon the table and she took in a breath and looked down into it as her smile slipped away as she started to speak. “A story eh? Well I have a whopper for you but promise you do not say a word until I am finished alright Faris? This will be the story of how I got a large tattoo on my upper back and the stab wound I have on my face.” As she spoke the last bit she would show the healed over wound path that she had just hidden beneath her hair and down the right side of her face. Awaiting the response from Faris she would continue upon his acknowledgement. So she took a drink and after swallowing she took a deep breath. “Upon my homeworld there was an enemy of my homeland. They were technologically superior to my own and her allies. Yet we never stopped struggling and fighting against them at ever venture they attempted upon our lands. I was a standard bearer for my people. So I was there upon the battlefield on the day that our people called the Seventh Umbral Calamity. Underneath a blood red and blackened moon we fought this enemy. I took a spear to the forehead to give me that scar. Yet that was not the worst thing of the day. The Falling Star or Dalamud as it was called came crashing down upon the Plain of Carteneau.” As she spoke her eyes stayed looking down into the mug as she took a drink to wet her tongue before continuing. ”Dalamud was actually a prison for what my people called a Primal. A summoned beast of immense power that subjugated entire races of people beneath their sway with only select persons being immune to their influence. Inside the moon was the eldest of all of the Primals a dragon of immense power and rage. ITs name was Bahamut… I have never felt so utterly helpless as I watched him make his prison explode in hellfire that rained down upon the planet below. The heat burned at my skin, my armor, and I swear even my very aetherical soul. That day was burned into my mind as I saw him rising above the battlefield a massive fireball within its jaws. It was within that moment that I blacked out due to the heat and the next time I awoke I was inside the snow filled fields near my home once more with a tattoo on my back that shimmers with magical energy…” She finished her story and fell silent as this was one whopper of a story and she hoped that it had kept Faris’ interest and at least gave him something to understand. As she spoke about her own home, she could not help but notice the look within Faris’s features. There was just something that she would make certain to not press upon again. As she did not know just how it affected him. It took little for the pair of them to move along toward the next subject. His calling out that she had a good heart made her smile widely. There was much that she had been told over the years but this was one of the first times she had been told this. Though hearing about the desert she could not help but think about it. Thinking on going to a desert that she was hearing about was stopped as Faris made motion of there being next to no towns. This was something that she hated as going down there and finding a great city. A great city would be great to know of. Yet knowing full well that there wasn’t made her frown a little. Also hearing that the heat was intense there. “The heat is not that bad if you get used to it all. The last few ties I went to that desert of my parents birth I had to change out my equipment Had to make it ventilated easy enough. So, it was difficult to do things.” She could not help but speak about her last trip to Ul’dah. Despite that she did love it all. Hearing about how he was doing made her nod and smile at Faris. Taking another drink from her alcohol she could not help but take another long drink of it. “Honestly I would say to just raise them as best you can. Do whatever that you think is right. Whatever that this may be…” She spoke as she could not help but start to feel the alcohol within her system. This was welcome as the pair of them just enjoyed the time with one another. Taking a few moments to relax alongside her friend. She knew that Faris had been through plenty and she had as well. Taking a couple of breaths, she finished off the mug of alcohol. Letting it all burn down her throat and the smile stuck upon her face. “So is there anything you got on your mind Faris? As I am honestly contemplating on what to do. I am thinking of spending time with others like yourself.” (( Faris Scherwiz ))

Eillien could not help but feel her smile just stick tight to her face. All this time around Faris had reignited the fun fiery side of herself that she had kept herself tame with. This taming was because of her being a guard of the town of Sonora. Though the flustered nature that she was seeing from Faris made her chuckle lightly. Knowing full well that the words had done something inside of Faris’s brain. This was an unintended consequence of her teasing yet she enjoyed playing the game with Faris. Though hearing that Faris was grateful that she would be there for her. This made her nod in agreement toward Faris as she finished taking her long drink of the mug. Setting it back on the table before her as Faris asked as to what she was up to up in Sonora. “Helping people as best I could. As for why I would stick there… Its easy as it reminds me of home. Minus the fact that it is a metal city where as my hometown is a stone one. A land of proud people who do everything in their power to stay alive in the harsh cold. So, it stuck with me to this day. So, I went up that way and stuck there to help others.” Speaking normally, she could not help but speak about her time. As she could not help but let her know. Allowing her mind to actually go back and wander she had to think about the few times in the past her and Faris had shared more then a few drinks. Thinking back as to if anything had actually happened in the past. To her recollection nothing had ever happened after the many drinks that the pair of them enjoyed. “Though if I had wanted a place to move to. It would be a desert town a lot more like the place I spent a few years when I was a teen. Had great drinks and great entertainment for the eyes.” Eillien could not help but smirk as she spoke the last little bit. There were many things that she could not help but remember from her times in Ul’dah. So many skimpy dancers around the place. As this was something that she fondly remembered. “What about yourself Faris? What have you been doing other than watching your friend?” (( Faris Scherwiz ))

Eillien could not help but let the smile stick across her face as Faris spoke about Bartz. All the words seemed genuine as they came from the pirate captains’ mouth. Hearing about the man made her want to actually meet him in person one of these days. Which she knew full well that Faris could easily facilitate. So, after making a mental note about it she made certain to ask him eventually. “Well Faris at least that dunderhead has you waiting for him. So, there is that.” Eillien could not help herself to talk once more. Her words just came out without much of her filter activating as she spoke. Though after Faris responded that he would take her she could not help but give him a smirk and a slight turn of her head. “You would take me? Oh, in what ways would you take me if given the chance Faris?” She could not help but tease Faris though it was a partially truthful statement. As she would not turn down a fun night with someone that looked like Faris. Though knowing that Faris enjoyed her company she kept that smile upon her face and pulled her hand back. Though knowing that she had forced him to get out of a stupor. Leaning back after pulling her hand back she drew back and drank down the rest of the beer that was inside of her glass. Setting the mug back down onto the table she could not help but have it made a noise that bounced around the bar. Laughing to herself she spoke to Faris again. “You know that is what a friend does for you Faris. Gives you a slap in the face when you need it and a shoulder to cry on should you need it.”
“Though yeah I got a ton of tales. Is there anything that you would want to hear about?” She could not help but smile as she reached over to the second mug that had been delivered to her. Eillien was going to wait til Faris recognized the small bit of interest she had shown in him. (( Faris Scherwiz ))

“Thanks for the compliment. People have been complimenting me on the change. Really don’t care that much but my hair was getting in the way of fighting. So that had to go away.” She spoke up her face flushing a little as a blush crossed her cheeks. There just was something with the smooth-talking pirate that tugged at her heart without her knowledge. If she was ever cornered and asked about it, she would blame the time she spent in Limsa Lomisa down on the docks drinking during her adventuring days. Though with the way that Faris had spoken it she could not but help and swear that there was more within the words, but she could not read the captain at all. The mentioning that it was good she was well giving her a chance to smile wider than earlier. To just be here and talking to someone she respected and did not feel ill intentions from. It was a welcome change of pace. Listening though as Faris started in as to that he had run into several others from back home. This brought a gleam to Eillien’s eyes as she could not help but feel that nibble of nostalgia bite into her mind. There was still a part of herself that wondered if she would ever truly go home again and see her friends and loved ones. Despite that internal thought of want she could not help but feel the bitter tone that stuck to Faris’ words. This made her pay closer attention to the words more so then others. “Hey at least he is here. As you said at least it is better than nothing. Also, who knows this place... just has that effect on people. I mean I have met many a person from other words while working up in Sonora that had no memories, no names, no money, nothing but the clothing on their back and the stuff that eventually comes back to them. At least Bartz has you here for them Faris. A true friend that if you don’t mind me stealing a phrase from one of you pirates. To weather through the storm together with. Or I think it was something like that. The ol dock workers of Limsa used to say those types of stuff.” As she spoke Eillien reached across the table and placed a hand onto his shoulder. Giving it a reassuring squeeze as if to say that he had someone to help him through it as he was there for the others. “Plus I am here now to join ya in your journeys. I do not really have many other friends here. So yeah… I am here Faris.” She lifted her glass up with her other hand and raised it toward the captain. It was a show of respect toward the man and to show Faris that she was there for him. (( Faris Scherwiz ))

Faris’s look of implied unconcern almost brought her to chuckle out loudly, but she held it all back. This was certainly the first time that they had met in such a long time. So, this look of unconcern and almost outright dismissal of her was understandable. Grasping her drink’s handle, she lifted it back up as Faris reintroduced himself to her. This once more was making it harder and harder to keep a straight face. Then it slowly came to him as she could see it crossing as his eyes widened as things started to click within his mind. This made the smile wider across her face as she lowered her mug back down to the table and let it thunk back down on its wooden façade. Bringing her hand off the mug and she ran it through her hair to move a bang out of her eyes. Looking directly at Faris she could not help but smile at him as wide as she possibly could. Raising her voice to respond to him after she was named inside of his words and mind. “Aye I came here to look for you Faris. More because you are a friend to me. As for my hair changing well let’s say it is hard to find that dye I used back home and let it come back to its natural raven black. Though the highlights of red were something I love to do nowadays.” She could not help but smile as she spoke about her change in hair. Thankfully the red hair that she was so used to was easy enough to deal with from some of the winterberries she found up there and dried to make it all up. Yet that was the least of things to think of at the moment. Instead she kept her gaze on Faris as Faris asked here where the hell she had been. “Sonora. Been up there on top of the mountains helping the people up there. Got a place to live and got myself some cash to get my new armor that you see now. Otherwise kinda just forgot how long I had been up there before coming back down here to check in on some friends of mine.” It was the truth coming from Eillien as she sighed and moved to grab her mug once more. Dragging it up to her lips and taking another drink from it as the drinks she had ordered came down to the table. Tossing the barkeep some cash real quick like to not let Faris even go after any cash on their own. “So yeah been busy up there so much… So much that I could not really make time to be there for some of my friends. That includes ya Faris. Though yeah, I am here. So, the hell have you been up to Faris?” As she spoke, she finished off her first drink nice and quickly as she enjoyed the taste and texture of drinks. Turning back toward him she could not help but smile widely. (( Faris Scherwiz ))

Eillien sighed as she moved along toward the closest bar. There were many things that were running through her mind as she walked in. She had not even glanced around the room to look to see if Faris was there already and it would cut her searching down to nothing. Slipping up to the bar she would order herself a drink and lean her spear against the bartop. Grumbling to herself she finally took a moment to stop and glance around the room. Looking from face to face, feature to feature, and all the while not earnestly paying attention to any of them. Turning back to the bar she grabbed the full mug of beer. Lifting it she took a long drink from it and let the taste linger on her tongue before she swallowed the drink. Setting her glass back down she was now more clearheaded as she had finally satiated a deep needed want to get something to drink. "Ahh I needed that." She let out the words as she finally got her head on straight and began to look back around the room once more. There was something that caught her eye. There was a tuft of purple hair and a voice that echoed out over top of the din of the other patrons. A familiar voice that brought a large smile to her lips as she picked up her mug and hefted up her spear with her other arm. Walking over to the table she looked at the figure as she appraoched and knew instantly that it was the person she had been searching for. Talk about a stroke of sheer good luck. Walking over she let the mug down onto the table across from Faris with a slight thud. "Well tar and feather my arse. Come down here looking for ya and find ya in the very first place I come looking. Luck of the damn divine crystal it seems." She spoke as she sat down across from him with a large smile upon her face. Propping her lance onto the chair to her left she looked right at the man. "Ey bartender. Bring me another drink and another for my friend here." She spoke out loudly to catch his attention and she turned back toward Faris. (( Faris Scherwiz ))

Travelling was something that Eillien had gotten used to while on Eorzea. Yet when she had to do it nowadays it always felt exciting and dangerous. As if there was something coming around every hill and bend of the road. That was truly the case though as she always was finding someone needing help or a monster that needed to meet its end on the end of her lance. This time however she was on something of a mission. The coast had not had a trace of her friend and instead she was heading back toward Torenstein. The large town was the best place that she knew of to gather information. Especially for someone who may still be wanted by quite a number of bar owners in town for one reason or another. As she walked into town through the main road she inhaled the smell of the advancement and technology that hung over the area. It was something refreshing as the industrial smell was something that she felt deep down from her time in Ul’dah and Ishgard. Where she stood however was quickly becoming unsafe as someone almost ran her over If she had been a normal civilian, she would have been trampled with relative ease. Yet she was far from a normal civilian as she took off into the air in a blur of burnt orange armor. Coming down on the top of a nearby building she placed a hand on her chest as she could feel her heart beating a mile a minute. Taking in a couple of breaths she was certain that she was all there she glanced to be sure if she could return to the streets below. The carriage that had almost hit her was now moving down the street. Looking at the driver she raised her arm in a rude gesture and yelled out at them. ” BURN IN HELL YA DAFT ARSE.” That fire was still burning in her mind as she took to dropping down to the street below her and landing in a spot without anyone nearby. Sighing to herself she mumbled as she stood back up. “I need a drink now.” (( Faris Scherwiz ))
