Provo had its charms and for Monori the majority of those charms was staying as far away from the Waking Sands as possible and in enjoying the city and all it had to offer. So each day when she was not working alongside Yuna to help those that required their special care and healing magicks she wandered the town. It was on a particularly slow day s he had found a small shop that would suit her needs nicely. She was heading there to pick up a set of chef knives and other small things that she was going to be bringing back to the clinic. So that she could then proceed to make Yuna something as close as she could to one of her favorite dishes from back home in Gridania.
Yet with that on her to do list there was little else for the day. So her wandering soul was in charge of her movements so long as she did not use them to leave Provo. So there was now a Miqo wandering down one of the side street markets. Passing booth after booth slowly picking up ingredients for her possible meal. Yet even with that she could not help but just feel that things were ‘off’ in the air around her. Things just could not sit right on her shoulders.
Turning around her staff moving as she did so she caught her Azem crystal gleam in the sunlight but for a moment as she took a moment to see whatever it was that could be bothering her. It was with a huff she could not help herself. “Ok you are still too jumpy from Ultima Thule Monori. Slow down your mind…”
Speaking to herself in particular she attempted to shake the thoughts from her mind. It mostly worked as she walked over to another stall and began to peruse the selections in front of her. As she did so a kid came running by and tugged on her tail as it had been moving back and forth gently . “OUCH.. Why you little…”
Monori yelled out as she quickly pulled her tail back in tight to herself. The kid was already running off through the small crowd and she could not help but huff once more. “That must have been what I was feeling… So many things are so different then back home.”

It had been a little over two weeks since Thisei Virleth landed in this strange realm. Not unwelcome, as it was a breath of fresh air for the retired heroine of Etheirys. Frankly, the atmosphere of Provo fit her needs well. She wanted to go explore the other lands and cities at some point. However, hearing about Sonora reminded her of the ruined Garlean Empire. An ugly thought, but that was in the past now. Point is--her memory had been a bit hazy being dropped here. Thankfully, it wasn't too bad, just that remembering certain people still gave her a headache. She'd get over the dumb condition eventually.
Riding in to the city-limits on Phoenix, Thisei felt true freedom with the wind in her face. Her ponytail wiping in the wind, the sunlight on her face...it was true freedom. Free from the shackles of her mantle, she was free to choose her own lifestyle here. She wanted to drop by into one of the local markets here to pick up some supplies. Maybe a meal, since she hadn't eaten for quite a while now. Doing odd jobs here and there gave her more than enough for her basic expenses. Today would be no different on filling her needs!
Or...so Thisei thought.
Seeing an area clear enough for her to land in, the Raen Au Ra jumped off of Phoenix's back. The summon disappeared as soon as the summoner had jumped off. The drop wasn't high and she would have a clear landing spot--Until a woman walked in right where she was about to land.
"Watch out!!" Came the yell of Thisei Virleth, but it was too late.
THUD!
The Raen landed on the female that caused them both to crash into the ground. Thisei's casting robes, thankfully, were soft and not all that hard. Still, no doubt she was going to be sore from the landing. Also...the woman she landed on. It took her a bit to get her bearings for her to actually roll off of the other. Once she did, the Raen sat there rubbing and then shaking her head. She didn't realize they had an audience, because she had crash landed on someone looking at wares. Whoops??
"I'm sorry-- I didn't mean to land on you! You just got in the way.." The Raen grumbled the last statement under her breath. Golden eyes squinted at the dazed female as she said, "I can pay for any damages I did to you or the stall's wares." Something she didn't REALLY want to do, but Thisei didn't want any trouble here. Trying to stay off the radar, while trying to be petty, could be a hit or miss sometimes.

The day was quiet and calm and there was nothing that was going to bother Monori. Well at least that is what she was thinking as she was stopped by the child who ran off. First it was the child and second it was a call out from above her. If she had been using her Dragoon Crystal there was a chance that maybe she could have avoided the incoming woman but there was no chance whatsoever while inside of her White Mage getup.
The impact sent Monori tumbling down to the ground with a sudden hard thud. Even with that for her it was nothing as compared to the punches of Zenos someone landing on you is like a light tap on the shoulder. Shaking her head after she came to a stop on the ground allowed her to begin to clear the cobwebs that such impacts imparted on those that were aldned on.
Monori sat up her cat ears flicking up as she heard the voice coming from the person who had landed on her. A half apology at best made Monori chuckle to herself as best as she could as she moved to a seated position pulling her legs toward herself. “Oh that is nothing. Do not worry I have been hit harder before by the fist of a very angry man.”
Letting out the words she could not help but finally shake her head once more and finish clearing the cobwebs without using any of her magical abilities. However her allah staff was laid in front of the woman and she reached for it. Grabbing the base of the staff she pulled it toward herself the orange crystal of Azem showing but for a moment in its secure hanging position off the crook of her staff as she did so. ”I am unhurt and it seems that nothing was broken. So you are lucky… Au…”
Monori blinked a couple of times as the familiar horns of an Au-ra laid in front of her. It was like looking through the looking glass to a resident of the Steppe or one of the many refugees that she knew. Yet in the here and now heere on Zephon was an honest to Hydalen Au-ra. A sly smile began to cross her lips and set upon her face. Her one Miqo fang showing through the smirk as she spoke up once more. “So are you from the Steppe or the Sea or elsewhere?” A simple question that would instantly make it known to the fellow that she had stumbled upon someone who might not be from their world but was at least familiar with Etheirys..

Thisei Virleth | Au Ra (Raen) | 28 | Summoner/Fisher | ×
As Thisei got her bearings, she managed to get back om her feet, despite feeling a bit dizzy. The impact still had her reeling, but it was clear the woman had survived worse. She commented about being hit way harder by the 'fist of an angry man'. Golden eyes blinked for a few moments as her brain processed the statement. Why did that sound so familiar? She didn't know why, but the image of a golden-haired man came up in her thoughts. Thanks to this realm's weird air, her memory was still bit a hazy on certain people. She still remembered most people from her adventures, but things were really screwed up around here. Well, people who came to Zephon.
As the woman pulled her discarded staff back to her, the glint of an orange crystal made the Au Ra raise an eyebrow. She squinted more seeing the symbol of Azem briefly as the staff was pulled away then. Confusion written all over the summoner's face now. 'Hold on, what? That can't be the crystal of Azem, could it? I'm sure I was the only one that had it, unless....' Her thoughts drifted off as the woman looked up at her.
Wait a minute, why did this person have similar ears the of Miqo'te? Even the fuzziness was eerily similar to those on Etheirys. There was NO WAY Miqo'te could exist here. She hadn't seen anyone like her in her time wandering around Provo at least. It seemed the Miqo'te was thinking similar when she was looking over her horns and scales. Thisei's scaled tail swung a bit faster in irritation as the situation dawned upon her.
When the Miqo'te asked if she was of the Steppe, the 'Sea', or anywhere else, it was confirmed she was a resident of Etheirys as well. Still, it didn't make sense that she also had the crystal of Azem. What kind of sorcery was going on here? Might as well indulge her since she was a fellow resident of the Source.
"...I was raised in the Ruby Sea, but that's the least of our problems." Her golden eyes sized the woman again, as she held out a hand to help her up. While the summoner was annoyed at best, this situation had caught her interest.
"Miqo'te don't exist in this realm as far as I know of. You must also be from Etheirys, yes? However..." She gazed down to the orange crystal hanging off the other's staff. "I didn't expect to see another constellation crystal of Azem to exist. You must be from another timeline of Etheirys if my theories are right? It makes no sense, because I have the exact same thing on my person." She rolled her eyes at that last statement. While it didn't bother her, it was mind-boggling to see the same-self crystal in another's possession.
As she waited for the Miqo'te to answer and help her to her feet, her thoughts were in disarray. While it was nice to see another fellow Warrior of Light, this one must be the center of whichever version of their world she came from. She felt a bit safer to share some details about her background, but she didn't want to outright boast of her status. This realm wasn't the right place to do that in her view.
"My name is Thisei Virleth. I'm a summoner by trade, but Zephon has some weird energy. Can't do my normal ones, but that's alright. I consider this my extended retirement until the universe drags me back home. Still, I wonder if Alexander and Omega had a hand in causing this." A sigh left her lips as she shook her head.

Sure the impact had her reeling but it was nothing that she had not encountered in the past. So for her it was nothing to just let it go and to just let it fall off her like water off the back of a duck. Yet with everything that was going on she could not help but smile as she moved up and rubbed the back of her head. Thankfully she had been able to gather up her staff so there was no real issue forthcoming for her that she could not just heal up. Thankfully it seemed that her question about where the Au-ra had come from had piqued the woman’s interest and she was given an answer.
Hearing that she had come from the Ruby Sea was a good thing. As she was certainly not in the mood to deal with a Dothari or another of the more extreme members of the Steppe. Though it seemed that questions were now being tossed in her direction. The first was an easy one to answer. Though Monori was going to remain quiet while she awaited other questions to come out from Thisei. It certainly seemed that this one was abright bulb and thankfully not one of the dimmer bulbs from back home on Etheirys.
“Aye I am from Gridania. I have not been here all that long. So that is something.” She responded softly as she blinked out several times to finally fully clear all of her vision. Though the rest of what Thisei was saying made her stop chatting for a moment to collect her thoughts and finalize them before continuing on.
”Wait… Does that make you another bearer of Azem’s. Well this world is getting crazier by the day and possibly not in a good way. Yet yes introductions are certainly in order. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance Thisei. I am Monori Jhida of the Sha Clan. I am a White Mage by trade… and I have noticed that this place has felt odd. While my own magic has not been fully bothered with. There are several things that I cannot do that I could have before. As for those two troublemakers I certainly hope that they had nothing to do with either of us being here. Last thing I remember of home was punching Zenos into unconsciousness and then collapsing on that… endless sea of stars.” Speaking with a slow purpose she could not help herself as she was just trying to let things out of her mouth as it was refreshing to run into someone from home even if it was an alternate home. Though these thoughts brought up a sour memory from deep down.
”Maybe I should not say this but there is yet another Azem here in town… He runs the Rising Stones. His name is Alexander Sorrel. Lets just say I had a… not so pleasant meeting with him when I first met him. So be careful if you do encounter him. But on a better note. Can I ask what it is that you are doing since arriving on Zephon? As I have found myself assisting at a small clinic here in town with another displaced healer. Not from Etheirys but still another displaced person.” Monori just had to let this out and yet she was certain to not taint Alexander’s reputation too much but she had to give out a warning to Thisei just in case she was to run into the man in the near future.

Thisei Virleth | Au Ra (Raen) | 28 | Summoner/Fisher | ×
Thisei slow blinked as the Miqo'te explained she was from Gridania. Yup, that was the city-state of the Black Shroud--where she had picked up White Mage a long time ago. That was are bittersweet memory that she couldn't cast such magics anymore. It did bother her, but what's done is done--it's in the past and she had to keep going.
The summoner went quiet as the Miqo'te went to speak more about their confusing situation. She just nodded slowly at the mention of her bearing Azem's crystal. The lady then introduced herself as Monori Jhida of the Sha Clan. Ah, Miqo'te clans were a bit confusing at best for her, but she wouldn't voice it as Monori continued on with her statements. The more she talked, the more Thisei felt they were in similar boats. They couldn't cast certain magics here, which was the same issue she had when arriving here.
At the mention of Zenos, the Au Ra shook her head and slumped her shoulders. She didn't want to be reminded of that. Still, the guy was long gone and dead, she survived--barely--made it back to Etheirys in one piece at least. Months of being on bed rest and even not allowed to do adventurer things made her want to scream. Not a fun time for the poor Warrior of Light...
"Nice to meet you, Monori." She gave a brief bow of her head, and then silent again to hear the rest of what the Miqo'te had to say.
Now, Monori went on to explain there was another Azem around the city of Provo. Apparently, he set up shop here with an organization named the Rising Stones. Her eyes wanted to roll at that with a thought of, 'Of bloody course I'd hear that.' She shook her head at that thought, but it was clear this other Warrior of Light, Alexander Sorrel, wasn't that great. Monori seems sincere, so she didn't doubt her that much--considering she wasn't trying to outright smack Thisei for landing on her.
Perhaps it was better to avoid this Alexander? She didn't want her title of being the Warrior of Light being dragged out in the open. She preferred her privacy and liked being just a simple adventurer here.
"Good to know about that other one--I don't intend to flaunt my title like some do. As for what I'm doing now? Just random jobs I can find around Provo, I suppose. It's a nice feeling that no one knows who you are here. No sense of responsibility on my shoulders is a big relief in eyes. I do some fishing in my spare time when not busy with doing jobs. I had to spend wisely on living expenses, which so far has been going better than I thought." The summoner explained before patting the grimoire attached to her waist belt.
Perhaps this Monori could show her other parts of Provo? While she didn't like to converse with random people, being here was...different? There were no expectations being thrown on her, so she could do what the hell she wanted here. As long as she didn't get the authorities on her ass, Thisei was fit to do as she pleased.

It seemed that Monori’s words had hit a chord with Thisei as she had mentioned the former prince of the Garlean Empire. Yet it also seemed as if there was a weight that had been lifted off of her shoulders in that same moment. As Thisei said that it was nice to meet her, the miqote could not help but smile at her. It was great to see a fellow Eorzean even if it seemed that the two of them might not be from the same Eorzea. Just like Alex was from a different Eorzea to herself it seemed that the Aura was as well.
After she had spoken about Alexander she knew that there was a chance that Thisei would not believe her but it seemed that she was a genuine ear was given to her about her misgivings about the man. “Honestly I do not wish to flaunt my title either. There are many here on Zephon that should not be told about us. Though I must admit there are many that are deserving of our trust and that can be trusted with who we once were.”
The words slipped from her lips like a practiced mantra. She had no doubt that there were more people like Yuna and Celes out there, but she was also certain that there had to be people on the other end of the spectrum from the two noble people she had already met. Listening to Thisei speak she took a little bit to think about things before she would respond. Noticing however the pat on the grimoire on her side.
This brought up a memory to Monori and her smile softened as a memory hit her. The face of a Hume to whom Monori was close to. ”Ah an Arcanist by trade then? Or do you specialize in one of the two masteries of the spellbook? As you can see I am a master of the cane and the healing arts.” Monori could not help herself but to speak about it. As how she knew about the two specializations was that because of her closest friend and love to whom she was now long afield from. Reaching back she moved her allagan staff around and in front of her to show Thisei for a moment.
”Ah so you are just making due. It is a good way to live and a rewarding one to do so as well. I am working at a clinic that is run by the Dragonblades and specifically a very talented young woman named Yuna. It has been very rewarding since I got here.” Speaking up she could not help but smile wide once more. Taking a few more moments before she slung her staff back onto her back and stood up. Offering a hand to Thisei to help her up to her feet.
“How much of the town do you know? Would you like a tour as I have been here enough that I do know it decent. Not as well as Gridania or Uldah but it is enough to get around.”

Thisei Virleth | Au Ra (Raen) | 28 | Summoner/Fisher | ×
The Raen raised an eyebrow at Monori's words about not flaunting their titles. Yet, at the same time, there were others deserving their trust. She went to pinch the bridge of her nose at that statement. Why? She could care less about that. She had done her part to saving Etheirys, and the Alliance now had to pick up the slack. No more relying on her, since she defeated the actual threat to the star. She just wanted to fade in the background and live the rest of her life hassle free.
Being pulled the Zephon had been a blessing and curse at the same time, but she wasn't going to tell this other Warrior of Light that. She didn't want to ruin the mood with her gloomy thoughts about NOT going back to her own star just yet. Thisei was enjoying herself here without constantly having to be pestered about every little thing.
Being asked about her trade, the Au Ra stared down at her grimoire, then looked up at Monori with a chuckle. "Summoner, but it seems I don't have access to most of my abilities here. I lost most of my summons, but gained another ally. A lightning horse named Ixion is my main transportation everywhere I go. Then, there's Phoenyx, but that hasn't changed too much. I can still fight, but with...differences." She gave a taunting smirk to Monori upon hearing that.
As always, a Warrior of Light had to adapt to their surroundings. No doubt Monori would understand that situation like her.
The Miqo'te mentioned about working in a clinic with a woman named Yuna. For some reason, she had heard that name a few times doing random jobs around Provo. Even if it was the outskirts, anyone seriously injured would be taken to 'Yuna's clinic' to be taken care of.
She grasped Monori's hand to help herself to her feet, while dusting her robes off in the process. She gave a look to the shopkeeper nearby, but didn't say anything to him. She cleared her throat as Monori asked if she could show her around town. While she knew the basic formation of Provo, it could still prove to be a maze in certain areas.
"I only know where the important areas are, but I wouldn't mind a guided tour for lesser known spots. I mostly hover around Help Wanted Ave since there's a ton of businesses advertising jobs. I also frequent the outskirts of Provo with helping the ranchers out with simple tasks. I don't mind simple things; It means I don't have to put a lot of energy into it. By the stars, I put too much energy for years for keeping my world safe from destruction, so simple jobs are quite nice." Thisei explained as her face held a lazy smile on it. Clearly, she liked the lazy life now--she deserved it in her eyes.

“Ixion? I have not heard of that horse since listening to the legends back around Ala Mihgo. If you have him then there is little to worry about should you actually get into a fight. Though still having access to Phoenix is a good thing… My friend who was also a summoner back on my Eorzea told me how temperamental that Egi was. And I have noticed that as well. Healing others has come just a little harder than before. I have noticed that my grander abilities are not able to be used. The Lily does not respond to me anymore. So that is my consolation. It seems to be here.” Monori spoke softly and yet with a purpose as she thought about what Thisei was saying. It was unusual to meet yet another person from back home but yet another person from yet another different version. It seemed that this world was going to continue to be an endless cavalcade of interesting things.
After helping her up Monori turned to the shopkeeper and gave him a small wave of acknowledgement as she had healed one of his workers a few days earlier so thankfully it seemed that nothing was needed to be done now. Though her mind came back into focus as she heard Thisei speak up once more and she could not help but nod in agreement. “I have to agree with you on that. I have enjoyed just becoming a healer only since coming here. No world ending threats walking around, no people with designs on my life walking around, and lastly no Zenos chasing me from place to place like some lovesick puppy wanting attention.”
A chuckle escaped her lips as she mentioned how she had come to view Zenos. It was something that made her mentally smile as it was an image that she couldn't help, but cultivate since the last time that she had seen him was his ‘death’ at the end of everything in Ultima Thule. “Well if you know about those two places then that will make things easier. As I use the Help Wanted Ave as my central point for everything else I do. Since it was where I first came into the city when I walked in after arriving here.”
She motioned for Thisei to follow her as she started to walk toward that particular part of the city. She could explain things much easier there as the clinic had a small tent that Monori could sit at and pull out a city map to show Thisei.
