Mere hours earlier, she'd been awoken by a man she did not know (though he was certainly polite and equally distraught). Having exchanged pleasantries (names or Luna tried to, that part was f[r]oggy), Lorenzo as the man was named, opted to take her into his care. He mentioned a Mistress and initially Luna raised a brow but was swiftly assured that the woman in question was of a higher station. Yet she noted he did not mention her name. He genuinely did respect her though, so she let it slide as was right. Based on Lorenzo's watch, it was 3am. He'd already called up said Mistress and though he tried to conceal his panic, was clearly at a loss. Once he received instructions, the two would leave the building she woke up in.
To Luna's surprise, it was a store. Inside very much didn't look like a store but rather an employee room. There was a kitchenette in there, a bed, some shelving and a desk... In truth, she was just in the back of the store as it turns out. The alleyway was rather dangerous, so Lorenzo insisted on escorting her. As for where she was? Sonora and whilst Lorenzo claimed he'd love to tell her more about this place, such was a conversation best had in private. Her amnesia granted her quite a cover from suspicion (suspicion of what, Lorenzo did not say), so she looked around like a deer caught in the headlights. Soon enough, they were on Velvet Street and the place was as lively and bawdy as ever. For her part, Luna covered her eyes at times.
To think this...entertainment district, was a place where people could get information? She could only imagine it too was the kind once could not easily speak in polite society. A most unsavoury place but this was what the people had. A cover of business, be it music, dancing or...otherwise; to conceal pertinent information. This made Lorenzo an Information Broker, though he'd confess to wearing many hats, in service of his Mistress. "Exactly what kind of information are you looking for then, Mr. Lorenzo?" Luna inquired, maintaining a straight face.
The response she received was a supplier, he further elaborated that such was the cost for this exchange. His words were entirely coded so Luna didn't press for now. As a certain disturbance largely rendered any analysis...moot. Coming from a side street (seemingly another alleyway connecting onto Velvet Street), Luna turned her head to the source of the commotion.

Conflicts of the heart and mind
She had yet to find a solution to her issue. Her supply continued to run ever short, and there would come a time when it would affect her performance and... worse. Because of this she continued her search, because of this she hoped the A.I was successful in finding Vincent. It would be nice to have his support going through this right now, perhaps he even knew of a way himself.
Vincent Valentine.....
She mused over the red cloaked man in her mind. Her friend, A man who had taught her much. She did not want to continue to rely on him for things, when he had already done so much for her, but nether did she want to continue to be alone through this-moreover if she couldn't....
No... not an option, she would find a way out of it, she would continue to live this new life she had been gifted. To this end she had continued to take jobs as well in an attempt to get herself out in the world, though she had yet to leave Sonora itself, comfortable with the familiarity it gave. She would likely need to at some point, moreover if jobs took her outside this place but for now... this was how things would be handled, handling jobs within this place. Though she had to admit this job in particular left a bad taste in her mouth. She was to follow the other end of this meeting bound to happen, to stalk and keep an eye of them. This was an easy enough feat in itself, her abilities made such a thing easy with her cloaking skills. What left a bad taste in her mouth was the people she was currently stalking. A butler was one thing she supposed. They could be used for a variety of secretive purposes. Shelke was not an ignorant person. She knew she had been hired to assist in taking whatever product this pair was going for along with the rest of the group currently causing there own commotion not far from her. Her objective was simple. Logically there should be no barriers to her carrying it out.
'if things go south, just take em out and bring us the stuff'
A simple matter
A simple process
A simple retrieval T The possibility of the butler possessing some rudimentary ability to defend himself was an option, but the woman clearly was not so. Everything about this said that should it come to Shelke needing to move it would a very simple matter.
So why did this irk her so?
Why was her mind so plagued with feelings of how wrong this move was.
Simple... Simple...
They could not see her, and by the time they did they would be on the floor and she would have the item in question.
Objective Complete
That's all there was to it, nothing complicated about it.
That's what her mind said.
So why did her heart stir so much against the move?
Why did moving behind these to, as she had so many times before seem so wrong to her, why did it put such a pit in her stomach.
It would come soon, she was sure. Moves would be made, the item would come into view.
There was something Lorenzo was forthcoming about; Radiant Dawn, the name of the corporation he worked for. Whatever Radiant Dawn wanted from a supplier, Luna hadn't pieced together. Shelke's own job had put her in opposition with one Sonora's major powers! Nothing about this job, with its cloud of secrecy made sense. Radiant Dawn's supply chain was quite robust, they prided themselves on being a 'Tech' company too. One that made marvels from the 'Dust'. That was public facing knowledge of their on the books records. Off the record? They experimented with all kinds of alternate power sources and unique technology.
So a supplier, could also be a more polite way to call the individual they were to meet. Smuggler was a better term and in which case they'd be getting in magic crystals. Lorenzo's Mistress owned said supply distribution as part of her Zephon wide operations. She was just legally advised not to disclose any of her Torensten enterprises. It was troubling to have to smuggle in one's own supplies but there was only so much they could import under the guise of their Provo businesses. Such was the uneasy peace of Sonora and Torensten. That Shelke was tasked to confiscate such, would cause major headaches!
"We must move quickly."
Lorenzo instructed with caution in his tone. Luna held onto his arm as the two began to run ahead, in light of the commotion from the side street. There was...loud noises, likely steel against steel and men shouting. As the duo ran passed, soon enough a group of thugs emerged. They looked about before noticing the butler and lady running. It would appear that Shelke had competition~! The drop zone then wasn't much further. It was behind a dance club, which gave them a bit of cover from the streetlights. Ducking in there might elude the thugs...or not!
"What do we do, Mr. Lorenzo?" Luna asked, rather frightened given the imposing stature of the thugs in question. So many questions and her mind couldn't remember much of anything. For the moment, the butler looked contemplative yet stressed. The jury would still be out as to whether he possessed hidden combat prowess. The timing of this chaos couldn't be worse, as the contact was just coming out the back entrance of the club. A redhaired buxom woman, who was quite tall and a bit jacked to be frank. Over her right shoulder was a steel briefcase that had codes only she likely knew.
Luna opted to move before Lorenzo and stand her ground. If she lost the only one who could provide her with any hope of answers, then things would be beyond dire. Not that she had an visible weapon on her person, which left the thugs to laugh. Now the stage was set for Shelke. Would she listen to her heart?

The job itself didn’t bother her of course, She had done much worse in her life than interrupt some petty smuggling deals, large operations or not. It would be easier for her if the people she was to intercept were just thugs, or arrogant brats. She would have no issue dispensing such people. Instead one of her targets was this innocent, princess like figure. She was what made this difficult. The old man only made her think of Hojo. She had no doubt she would feel indifferent about the one they were meeting. But this girl was innocent in the matter. From all she could tell the blonde was along for the ride for the most part. It reminded her of herself, it reminded her of her sister.
Shalua…..
Yet she had to look out for herself to did she not? She had to keep going, to find an alternative before she ran out. Find her friend if she could, it would be nice. What would he think of this situation she wondered?
Probably something about forging her own path if she had to guess, He didn’t tell her what to do before ether, even if they had to fight. She appreciated that about him, others gave orders, only told her what to do. Vincent didn’t do that. It was kind of ironic she was in that situation again after all the efforts they had gone through but… she could leave this one if she wished.
A cold gaze looked over the thugs that approached, laughing like imps corning their prey. A light frown came to her face as she saw the blonde attempt to stand her ground. Could she fight? If She could it clearly wasn’t with a degree of expertise going by her stance.
She didn’t even know these people, especially not that woman.
Yet…. she knew that feeling.
That feeling of not being able to stop what was coming. Of someone having power over you, to decide your fate before you could. Her gaze turned to a woman not to far away, clearly the target.
It would be so much easier to leave them be, so much easier to let the two groups sort themselves out and go for her target.
The clock was ticking, a choice needed to be made. As her mind clashed with her heart, memories of a wise man came to her mind.
Although, it seems like there are a lot of people around me who don't need a reason to risk their lives for that of another
Maybe….. It was just as simple as that.
She found her body moving before she gave it another thought, swift, and agile She sped over to the blonde. The next sound ether group would hear would be a crackle of energy. That’s the only sound that would be her before one of them felt the sting of her sabers across their person, sending them reeling back. As the likely shocked group organized themselves they’d come face to face with the cold glare of a woman, an amber glow to her eyes.
It was a person they might mistake for a child, a pre teen or teen at best on first glance if not for her attire and the expression she wore. The girl looked at the group sternly, her back now to the blonde and the old man, likely also shocked at the new participant.
”Leave, now. That was a warning blow, the next… won’t be as gentle. You do not want to know what it’s like to fight a Tsviet”
The way she expressed her words was as cold as her expression, one of her sabers pointed straight at the members of the gang, clearly at the ready if they chose to foolishly charge despite her warnings.
”Choose, Now”
She had yet to address the two behind her, Shelke was a woman focused on what she set her mind to, talking to them can wait, putting aside that she still wasn’t sure how to end that situation as is.
Things had certainly taken a turn and with one of the thugs struck, he keeled over, heaving as the other three looked to the assailant.
"...A kid, is threatening us? What are you, fourteen?" this came from a bigger thug, burly, head shaved clean and thick sunglasses obscuring his eyes. His tan skin and haggard casual attire topping off his appearance.
His associate, a tall, lanky male of fair skin had a mohawk, blonde. He would reply:
"...Cap'n? I think she's an outworlder..." this left the third male that comprised the thugs, dark skin, athletic build and a maintained afro. He flicked a wide tooth comb in hand, not saying anything but observing the wound dealt to their fourth member, another tanned skin man of short, stocky build.
"They took away my name—"
Luna stood firm, gazing at the situation with unwavering resolve. It didn't seem like she was afraid, even if that wasn't true due to the well of courage and conviction that came to her. It was as if she'd faced down tougher odds, against far crueler people. She witnessed Shelke's actions and noted how she took on the thugs.
"We should try to help her out, in case this becomes trouble. Go secure your package for now." given Lorenzo had been nothing but a gentleman to her thus far, she'd rather not test his combat prowess (or lack thereof). He had come to do a job for his Mistress and she didn't want to get in the way of that. Especially as his Mistress seemed to be a gracious hostess. Not taking a moment to look over her shoulder, she heard the shuffling of footsteps and it seemed the two went inside the club in order to escape the brawl that would soon commence.
Pride, Luna seemed to understand, through the darkness that claimed her memories; came before the fall. These men weren't going to allow a young looking female to best them. The added disdain they carried for Outworlders, a term Luna noted for later; was alarming too. This city she found herself in, didn't like a certain type of outsider? Yet she'd been treated quite well by Lorenzo and those he associated with...
"Odd..."
Through her conviction she had to find some type of inner strength, one that could help her fight. With narrowed eyes, she tried to recall the faintest clue but willpower alone would not best amnesia so potent. Her transmigration to Zephon seemed to be quite tumultuous to say the least. What would he do, in her place? Thinking that, she looked about to find anything she could as a makeshift weapon. Since her heart knew the answer, fight.

The thugs received a glare from Shelke as they spoke to her, an empty look. She was hearing there words, and processing them. But in her mind she had already moved to the next step, that being defeating them, laying them out on the ground and ending this conflict. This was the choice she had made after all. They were nothing more than a trio of immature thugs, not thinking on what they should be more concerned about. They were so hooked on what she looked like, that she appeared to be a child that they didn't focus on the fact she had already taken down one of their members, and that they would soon be following suit. It was foolish of them, but not a concern for her. A sigh escaped her lips as she shook her head.
"Is that your choice?"
Her answer was simple and to the point, she had already given her answer and so all that was left was for them to stand down, or to not-it was becoming clear what there choice was. As she stood there firmly, her weapons pointing forward at the things, she noticed the man walk off, presumably to finish his business with the other. That only left the blonde woman to keep safe in this, it would make things easier. What was less easy was the woman she was attempting to protect moving forward, her movements indicated a want to get involved in the battle at hand. She had no way of knowing the woman's abilities, but it was a risk factor she did not wish to account for. She could handle thugs, aid was not needed in this scenario.
"Stay back, I am trained, they are not strong"
It would, though unintatilly serve as an insult at the thugs, but given how Shelke spoke it perhaps didn't give the best impression to the one she was trying protect ether. The woman picked up a weapon and Shelke frowned in response shaking her head. The desire to protect ones self made sense, even if it was more of a hampering thing in this case. As far as Shelke knew this woman had no combat ability or anything else to aid her, and she needed to operate off that assumption.
"Stay near me, at least"
She then looked to the thugs themselves, no doubt preparing themselves for combat by this point. She didn't see bravery, or courage, she didn't even see determination. She saw foolishness and greed.
"I'm afraid..."
Her words would hang in the air for a moment, perhaps even boosting the thugs egos as it did so.....
"Your heads are made of stone"
'Shock Spear' her twin energy weapons were drawn from their sheath as she stared down her opponents, She couldn't move to quickly lest her foes choose to target the one she protected, but she'd also need to handle them quickly. She had no qualms using her weapons and abilities to bring these three down. She would move forward, her movements like something of a dance thanks to her agile nature, a rapid barrage of attacks would rain down on them. She chose to focus her attacks on one person at a time, while using more quick guards with her sabers if they attempted to return fire on her, following this she would use the one of those attacks as leverage to propel herself into the air just slightly via her sabers, twisting her body in a mid flip and connecting her heel with one of the thugs faces in a swift kick!
BAM!OOF!WARGH! the fluid dance left the thugs disoriented, hurt, and dazed. Little stars dancing across what bit of vision they could muster before the proverbial lights went off. Leaving the thugs unconscious, it was surprising how the two fell somewhat facing one another. Their third companion not too far from their bodies. Without the distraction, the tonal landscape of the streets came rushing forth. It didn't seem like reinforcements were coming, clearly they underestimated this job or their intel wasn't very good. Having to take on an Outworlder, wasn't in the equation from the seem of it.
"They took away my name—"
This left Luna, who heard Shelke's words and was mildly surprised. She hadn't anticipated help in such a manner, nor it did Lorenzo seem to have such in mind. For the most part, Luna remained where she was, poised in the event she needed to move at all, yet entirely stoic. Her gaze lowering at the end of Shelke's dance, watching as the bodies hit the ground.
"...I've done as you asked and sure enough, you've made quick work of these brutes." she gestures with her left hand to the trio. "...Might I ask why you protected me? Who...are you exactly, miss?" her inquiry was laced not in caution but rather intrigue. Was there a chance that this person recognized her? The potential to have some answers, some light in this darkness, filled Luna with hope.
That was when the door opened behind her. Seemingly Lorenzo had completed his business and now looked to the situation. He counted out the thugs audibly, unseen machinations at work before he nodded.
"I thought there would be more, seems like a decent pay out for the work."
his smooth voice was not too deep, slightly accented but not as heavy as Luna's own.

"Amateurs..."
Why couldn't they just stand down? There was no way they were going to be able to take a Tsviet down, it was foolish of them to try. They brought this upon themselves in the end, there greed and overconfidence guiding there hand. She only hoped this didn't get around. Outlanders already weren't liked here. It wouldn't do her any good to have her work opportunities muddied by being labeled an aggressive outlander or something. Sure it was in defense of someone, but it wasn't like most of the people here were the understanding sort. All it would take was a few bad rumors and her jobs might dry up, and with that her ability to gain leads. If she had something more solid that wouldn't be a problem but as things were that was not the case. For now she would converse with the one she had protected, one of her original targets-before that went down the drain.
Sigh... yet another thing that might sour her hiring reputation, but oh well. It was important to follow what her heart said right?
Right, Vincent?
"Of course, my training is more than enough for common street thugs, there chances of bringing harm were low"
Why did she protect her? How did she answer that? giving the full details wouldn't be the best option, after all it would involve revealing her original goal in the process. But... that didn't mean she couldn't tell part of it. Her expression, her tone kept the ever present monotone it always maintained. She knew it gave the wrong impression sometimes, how she sounded, even moved like she was emotionless at times... but she couldn't help it, all she could do was try to express herself as best as she could manage.
"Why.... I am not...completely sure. It just... seemed like the right thing to do. My heart..."
She placed her hand over chest, the slightest of frowns on her face as she did.
"It simply told me it was what I must do, protect you from those people who would do you harm. I.... apologize if that is not glamorous enough, it is not much more complicated than that"
The poor woman was clearly interested in her explanation being something more. It as to bad she had to disappoint her but what more could she do? She wasn't the type able to come up with some fantastic tale of why she came to he woman's aide.
"I...am sorry it that is not up to your standard"
As the older male came back in Shelke's gaze immidelty went toward him, hand returning to her weapon in an instant before her grip relaxed upon seeing who it was. She nodded.
"There was... a more experienced one I handled on the way here, if that lessens any disappoint in your calculations"
That person was her of course, but it wasn't necessarily that much of a lie was it? A more formidable foe had indeed been taken care of. Shelke closed her eyes briefly, thinking things over in her head. They would open again when she turned back to Luna.
"Did you both need... further protection? I have my prices but more than that my main want in exchange... I'm looking for someone, If I'm able to and... trying to find a solution to a problem with... me. As you have seen I'm a plenty capable fighter, and My... heart... tells me it would be wrong to leave this woman alone. So if such an arrangement could work to both your benefit I could... be of aide to you"
Perhaps a long shot, but sometimes there was nothing to it but to try. Yuffie did that a lot, She was far better at it than her but.. She could try to take from her book, at least this once. Put herself out there-take a bit of a risk.
After all, the worst they could say was no, right?
A soft gasp escaped Lunafreya's lips, followed by blinking in surprise. Shelke's response had resonated with her, yet as she strained to recollect why or whom she was being reminded of, it seemed to no avail. One thing she was certain of, the aura she herself gave off, attracted people to want to protect her, to return any kindness given, as well as the stares she received when walking with Lorenzo.
"I can't help but wonder...if you're someone from my past or if your words and actions, remind me of some forgotten figure." secretly, Luna hoped that Shelke was someone from her past, someone that knew her and it would clear up the darkness that permeated her mind. Where had the light of memories gone off to?
"Well now, that certainly explains things. Given your performance, I'd say you're very qualified to protect us further. I'm not an Outlander, though I do work for one. If you're looking to track someone down, say a fellow Outlander? I can assist. My name is Lorenzo, I work for Radiant Dawn Corporation. As to your personal matter, the resources of the company I work for, would surely be able to help. So yes, I'm certain my Mistress would love to hire you."
"Said 'Mistress' is quite the mysterious benefactor, she's helped me as well, even though we haven't met face to face yet. Though I'm afraid I'm no closer to solving my own personal issue at this time." Luna chimed in shortly after Lorenzo made things official. The relief on her face couldn't be missed. She hoped to return the favour for the protection, in time. Right now, though she was relying on the kindness of strangers, she knew to exercise patience and humility.
"...Ah, Lorenzo, will you be giving additional remuneration for that other target our new friend dispatched prior?" As her gaze shifted to Lorenzo, he looked rather contemplative before sighing and giving a faint smile.
"Why not? Oh but first, since I've introduced myself, can I get your name, Miss...?"
