Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.
The current skin was made by Pharaoh Leap of Pixel Perfect. Outside of that, individual posts and characters belong to their creators, and we claim no ownership to what which is not ours. Thank you for stopping by.
Sitting in a tourist-friendly lounge in a city east of Provo, Iris could hardly keep herself still. The trip here from Torensten had blurred right by in all of her excitement, and now that she was here waiting for the prince to walk in the door, her stomach had tied itself into a knot of anxiety.
She was always happy to see him, of course--hence the excitement. The nature of their discussion though, the situation with her brother, had her more nervous than she'd been in a long time. But Noct was the prince! He'd have answers. He'd know what to do.
Iris finally tore her eyes away from the lounge's front door to gaze at the coffee she'd ordered. The cup had once been piping hot but it had since cooled to room temperature. She was too anxious to drink and no food sounded appealing to her stomach.
More than anything, she was hoping to leave with a sense of direction. This world was so different from home and with everything that had happened, she just wanted her family safe and sound.

[attr=class, bulk] Noctis had been pretty shocked to hear from Caius that Iris had turned up in Zephon as well. Like most of the other people that they’d left behind in Lucis, he hadn’t seen her since they’d boarded the boat to Altissia. That felt like a lifetime ago at this point, so he was glad that they were able to set up a meeting through letters. He was on his way north to Sonora anyway, so Provo would be the perfect pit-stop along the way.
If only he knew what to say to her.
That wasn’t to say that he didn’t like Iris. Of course he did, he’d known her for over a decade, and she’d been something like a little sister to him over the years. If this was just a normal meeting, then he’d be super happy to see her, but she was obviously going to bring up Gladio. He couldn’t imagine how scared Iris must have been for her brother, but Noctis just wasn’t sure how much he should involve her in their prison break scheme. She wasn’t bad at all in combat—she was just still pretty young and in training, so he’d be worried about her getting hurt. Not to mention that Gladio would literally murder him if anything happened to her.
Noctis didn’t think they would involve her in the break-out team at least, but he wouldn’t put it past Iris to be persuasive enough to land a support role. Just like a real little sister, she could usually get what she wanted out of him if she pushed for it. Noctis blamed it on him being an only child. Unlike Gladio, he had zero practice at saying no to a younger sibling.
A bell dinged overhead as Noctis walked into the cafe where they were supposed to meet. Glancing around the cozy front lounge, it didn’t take him long to spot Iris. Even if they hadn’t seen each other in a while, he recognized her cropped dark hair immediately.
“I guess they just let anyone onto Zephon now,” Noctis said with a slight smile as he approached the booth where she sat with a cup of coffee. Then, to show he was joking, he shook his head. “Seriously, it’s good to see you, Iris. I’ve been wondering how you guys were ever since we took off for Altissia.”
Iris snapped her gaze up at the sound of the door. Noctis was here. There was an instant mix of anxiety and joy at seeing him. This was the weirdest feeling she'd had in quite some time. At least, back home, things had been straightforward--if not a bit chaotic--and she'd known how she fit in to things. Even when she'd just been maintaining the safe house at the cape, she'd had an obvious role--keeping information flowing, cooking, tending to the garden... Here, in this world, she didn't know what she was supposed to be doing at any given time.
Outside of worrying.
"Hi, Noct!" she chirped, standing up and offering a quick wave. She reminded herself to stay calm, stay chill, because nobody needed to see her freaking out about the prison situation--least of all the prince.
"It's good to see you, too." She smiled, but there was a lack of enthusiasm in it that he'd surely notice. Iris was great at playing optimist, but she was also easy to read for anyone who really knew her.
She returned to her seat when Noctis sat down as well, and then clasped her hands together atop her lap to keep from fidgeting. "It's been...a while," she began, her tone growing more somber. "Things got dark after you left. Me and the others went to stay in Lestallum, and...the world fell apart. And now I'm here, and--" She sighed, cutting herself off just shy of bringing up her brother being here too.
"Anyway, I was hoping we could talk about what's going on. With Gladio, and with Iggy. I want to help if I can." It didn't even matter what "reasoning" Sonora had for imprisoning them--whatever it was, it was wrong, and they didn't deserve to be behind bars.
Iris had a million other questions--about how Noctis himself was doing, what point in time he'd been plucked from and transported here, how he'd been faring in this weird new world, and so many other things. But that could all come later.
