She could almost remember everything leading up to this. Almost. She knew she was traveling with three other companions, and they had just finished a major part of the quest they were on. They were getting ready to confront the main villain behind everything they had gone through...and that doing so required them to return to the Chaos Shrine, which is, ironically, where their journey started. But everything after them entering the shrine was a blur. For the life of her, Joanna couldn't recall what happened after that. As if that wasn't already perplexing enough as is, the next thing she realized is that she had no clue where she was. Her memories were fuzzy, but she remembered just enough to know that that she'd quite literally traveled all over the world; none of this looked familiar.
It was obviously a major port city of some kind; at first glance, it reminded her a lot of Pravoka, though that was before she actually started to explore the area, and came to realize that this city was far larger and busier than Pravoka ever dreamed of being. It was both impressive and intimidating at the same time. But more than that, it confirmed what she was already beginning to suspect; this is definitely not the same world she lived in for her entire life. Hell, even in Corneria, she'd never seen the streets of a city so busy and full of life. Which isn't to say that Corneria was always empty and lifeless; far from it, actually. This, however, took it to a whole new level, and it was honestly a tad overwhelming for the somewhat reclusive healer. Sure, she's traveled the world, but she never saw anything like this.
Nevertheeless, she wasn't sure what to do or where to go. She assumed that a place like this must have an inn somewhere. But she had no clue where to look, and she couldn't help but feel like she was already sticking out like a sore thumb. If nothing else, it couldn't be more completely obvious that she was hopelessly lost and entirely out of her element. Normally, she'd be all for a new adventure, but all of this hitting her all at once was quickly proving to be a little too much adventure even for her tastes. Joanna let out a heavy sigh in an attempt to calm her nerves. Nothing good would come of just wandering aimlessly and looking frazzled. She just needed to get her bearings; figure out where the heck she was, and everything would work out.
