II. PERSONA
Tifa is a very sweet girl, and is willing to help out those she can. She will give you her word, and hold true to it. There aren't many things she hates in the world, and she likes to keep it that way. Wanting to hear the whole story, she tends to listen to both sides before drawing to a conclusion about something. If you need information about someone, she would be the best person to send, as she is very calm and polite when it comes to talking to people.
Everyone has another side though, and that is the same with this sassy brunette. Tifa has trained for years under a master martial artist, and can fight against the strongest of men. It can sometimes take a lot before she decides you aren't worth her time and become the enemy. Unless you are ShinRa, then it's an instant dislike until proven otherwise. Tifa isn't one to be outright cruel, but if she doesn't like you, you will either be ignored or on teh receiving end of sassy comebacks.
There is a mother like persona that Tifa has, and it has everything to do with her caring nature. She is usually the one that makes sure everyone is fed, clean and healthy. Putting everyone before herself, she will sacrifice her own needs to make sure everyone else is happy. In the battle field, that comes as a strength because she will usually be the rational thinker, coming up with a plan rather than playing by ear. Tifa is a good friend to have, and an even better ally.

III. HISTORY
Born on May 3, Tifa was the only child of Brian and Jamie Lockhart. Being raised in the small town of Nibelheim was great for the little girl, as she was able to run around town with little risk of being injured or taken. Her mother died when she was only eight, but she had learned a few things about cooking and cleaning up until that point. For a while after her mother's death, Tifa really didn't want to do much of anything, but was convinced she could go to Mt Nibel and see her mother. Her friends followed, but turned back when they got too far up the mountain. However, her neighbor Cloud kept going, and a misstep from Tifa sent them both falling.
Brian Lockhart blamed Cloud for what had happened, so Tifa didn't talk to him very much anymore, though the two still remained friends. Over the course of five years, Tifa spent most of her time helping her father, and also helping out the others that lived in town. She was always doing something, and the town loved her helpful and caring personality. One night, Cloud asked her to join him at the water tower. He told her he was going to Midgar to join SOLDIER. She asked him to promise her that he would protect her if she were to ever get into trouble. He did, and then left to try to fulfill his dreams.
After he left, Tifa began training with Master Zangan and it didn't take her long to catch on. Only about a year or so of training had went by, and Zangan called her his most prized student. Two years later, she still trains with him, but she also trains on her own as Zangan has taken on more pupils. Tifa also decides to take a job as a tour guide, and is asked to take Sephiroth, Zack and two others up to the Mt Nibel reactor. That day will haunt Tifa for the rest of her life.
It all started out as a normal day, but when Sephiroth came out of the reactor, something was different about him. Thinking he might have just seen something disgusting or morbid, she really didn't think anything of it. Her and the guard with her were attacked, and the guard did his best but she ended up finishing the monsters off. Tifa helped Zack get the guard into town, and then she went home as well. What she woke up to next, was a living nightmare.
Nibelheim was on fire. Tifa checked the house, but her father was no where to be seen. When she got outside, her heart sank. Houses were burned down, along with most of the people inside of them. Zangan was out helping anyone he could, but it wasn't looking good. He informed Tifa that her father went to the reactor, and tried to stop her from going. She found her father dead, and in a fit of rage, just started screaming.
Zack tried to help, but she rolled away from him, declaring her hatred of everything. Instead, he went inside of the reactor. Tifa felt herself being carried to the side by someone, who then seemed to go inside as well. A few moments later, she heard another body hit the ground, but she wasn't sure who it was. Finally opening her eyes, her last image was that of Zangan, before she drifted off as he used Cure on her.
Tifa woke up in Midgar, as she was being treated for her injuries. Once she was able to be out on her own, Tifa met Barret Wallace, and joined his anti-ShinRa group called Avalanche, as she had told him her story and he gladly welcomed her in. Their base was located in a bar called Seventh Heaven, a bar in which she would come to manage and work at. People from all over would come there for her food and hospitality. Tifa also watched Barret's daughter Marlene when he was away, and she grew to love the little girl. She helped out Avalanche where she could, but couldn't bring herself to get physically involved. Even through her hatred, she believed violence was not the answer.
Working at the bar most of the time, Tifa made a decent life for herself in Midgar. She was still helping with Avalanche, and even got Cloud to join up after she had found him. They took down two reactors, Tifa only helping with the second one. She then decided to go after Don Corneo and almost got trapped by him but was saved by Cloud and Aerith. They then started a journey to find Sephiroth. There were many battles along the way, but they finally got the chance to fight him and won. Well, they thought they did anyways...
