Well, this certainly was not the boundaries of her cave. The broad rim of her hat shaded her wrinkled eyes from the broad daylight. One moment was enjoying her tea served by one of her Poroggo - a sentient frog servant. The next, she closed her eyes for her seconds of deep thinking. When she opened them, she somehow found herself right here. The opposite of her quiet, candle-lit home. It was suspicious for very rarely did something get by the keen eye of Matoya. Powerful magic was afoot. And she knew this was no longer Hydaelyn. She could not feel the aether beneath her. Nor did she recognize this region or culture, and she knew about as much there was to know in her vast knowledge. No. It seemed she was very much displaced.

The old witch found herself in a fold out chair, next to the oasis. People were taking cold-water dips and being offered icy drinks. It seemed the youth of today had no shame in the outfits they wore. They needed to show off as much as possible as they dawdled about. Hmph. With a bit of effort, she moved her legs over the ledge of the chair, her heavy skirt dragging across the ground. Oh, how there was such an ache in her back? A waiter came to her as she leaned to grab her staff and stopped midway due to the ache.

"Would you like a drink?"

"The exit."
[break][break]
"Uh...?"

Matoya glared up at the young waiter as she finally used her staff to aid in her standing. He didn't even bother to assist her old bones up. What did she have of drinks right now? "You got sand in your ears, boy? How do I leave?" Matoya retorted as she stood to her full height. One arm down at her side she peeked at him from under her hat.

"Oh. It's...uh...If you go that way." He pointed her in the direction of elaborate gates. "And follow the path just beside the towel booth. You will reach the exit." He seemed confused. Hadn't he just got here?

Matoya did not bother to thank the kid. She simply turned to leave this oasis spa zone. She needed to see what was beyond this comfort with her own eyes and soon she found the gated off area off the off-white path. There were vendors just outside and she soon found herself on a narrow pathway. It seemed someone was selling maps of Aljana and the Reikinto region. But when she held out a hand to see it, they tried to sell her a whole package to see the sights.

"I just want to orient myself, child." She huffed, her voice on the edge of anger. She raised her staff as if she'd knock sense into his head.
