"Radiance"
"What's it like to be up there, high above it all, without a care in the world~?"
Radiance was quite the airship, even if one disregarded Lumina's boasts. Designed in the model of Torensten airships, of some luxury and storage capability. Radiance had several viewing panes in which one could see outside and scarcely glimpse inside of a glass like structure. This was primarily for stuff around the front side of the hull. Whilst the back concealed its cargo for discretion among other things. Along the front there were several public living spaces, as well as private rooms. Lumina's own cabin was further up and towards the front. Sporting a special adjustable chair that allowed her to get quite the view (though she made sure to remind Zell that it wasn't a booster seat).
In terms of the exterior hull, the colouring blended a pearlescent and opalescent gradient, blending along the middle roughly. Radiance certainly wasn't as large as other transporter class ships. It was intentionally a bit smaller to be more agile, in case of sky pirates and other dangers. Most importantly, Radiance didn't require too much maintenance for the small group who handled basic operation from Provo to Torensten and back. Guiding Zell and Serah around as part of the grand tour, Lumina looked very different today. Casual was a term but it wasn't new to the crew. The reason she was dressed down, as opposed to wearing some high culture outfit; was said clothes did not seem to agree with the altitudes. As well as comfort day to day on their route. So instead, Lumina was dressed plainly in a short sleeved white t-shirt with black jeans shorts, pink thigh highs and black flats. There was one unusual piece, a set of glasses that seemed to be an accessory predominantly.
Once the grand tour was complete, there was still plenty to see and do. The crew were happy to take Serah to the main deck where the ship was piloted. That left Zell, who Lumina initially thought would go tag along with Serah to have fun. Lumina herself had a clipboard in hand with a pen and was begrudgingly going over the numbers. Serah had learned this previously but Lumina's crew already knew and were used to her real appearance when seeing her on the ship. What they hadn't been used to, was the idea of their boss needing a bodyguard. So from time to time, some has taken the liberty to see this man for themselves, from a distance.
"Zell?" she called out, her real voice wasn't so high and sweet. Well, there were times of reminiscence but as she said long ago to the Inn Keeper, she was older than she looked. "Aren't you going to join the others and have fun?" she asked before looking down to her clipboard. "This is...going to take awhile." certainly wasn't as fun as fighting zombies and trekking across Zephon. At least it was safe, mostly.

The airship was so much different than the ones he was familiar with back home. The Garden was essentially a massive flying fortress and the Ragnarok was a supersonic plane. But the Radiance was much more simple in design. In fact, it literally resembled what an airship sounded like it should be: a ship in the air.
The interior had a combination of designs which varied based on which area he was in. During Lumina's grand tour, Zell saw almost every inch of the ship. He was impressed for sure, but the sight of the world from a higher altitude was even more impressive. From the air, the SeeD could see all of the routes he took from Provo to Torensten, including the Pale Coast in the far horizon. The view was magnificent and made him feel so small compared to the rest of Zephon.
"Zell? Aren't you going to join the others and have fun?"
Lumina returned to doing some of her duties on the vessel after the tour was finished. Zell did consider following the others for food and drinks, but at the same time he wanted to continue seeing the ship. Plus, what kind of bodyguard would Zell be if he wasn't around Lumina to protect her.
"Nah, I'm good," he replied. His back turned to lean against a railing so he could relax while watching his pink haired companion work. "I've got a job to do, ya know?"
Zell didn't plan on disrupting her work, anyways. Hell, seeing Lumina in her real form still made him feel awkward. It was like she turned into an entirely different person when she changed forms. The appearance, the voice, and even her behavior was different than the cheerful trickster he'd grown to know. She wasn't much like the Lumina that Zell knew.
Instead, the blonde male only watched her for a minute before turning around to look at the areas ahead of them. Provo was far away now, but a faint shadow in the far distance suggested that it might not be long until they reach Torensten.
"Hey, Lumina?" he asked, still gazing off in the distance. "Is there anyone from your own world that you're gonna miss? I mean, after we leave Zephon and I take you back with me. Besides Serah and Lightning, is there any other friends or family that might miss you?"
It was a thought that he'd been mulling over for the last few days. He promised to take her back with him, but at the same time he felt like he was being selfish with it. What if she had other people that would miss her? Why does she deserve to go to his world and not back to her own?

"Radiance"
"What's it like to be up there, high above it all, without a care in the world~?"
Lumina couldn't help but smile, her eyes softened as she looked at Zell, instead of her clipboard. "My Knight in shining armour~" she teased, though that title was made up by Serah. Zell's extra efforts weren't proving Serah's assumptions wrong admittedly. After all, Lumina was relatively safe, doing work out here. So then, Zell wanting to work too, was that part of not taking handouts? She raised a brow for just a moment before moving to stand beside him. Her eyes then returned to her clipboard as she began to mark up certain items with her pen.
Much to her surprise, it seemed like Zell had something specific on his mind. Thus, his 'job' was an excuse to talk with her. What a twist~! The question he asked was a fair one. So she took a moment to think it over while working, before her pen stopped. Lumina's eyes closed as she admitted her thoughts. "There are people I will miss, of course. Besides my sisters, I might add." she began before inhaling deeply and opening her eyes to look to Zell. "Outside of my sisters... People won't miss me." this was likely a bombshell but given what she'd learned from Serah a couple days ago, it was a hard pill to swallow.
"In my world, I no longer exist as a separate entity from Lightning. It's thanks to my power and being a vessel for Serah's heart and soul, that I'm here as 'Lumina'. My world, doesn't need two Claire Farrons." this revelation added whole new meaning to why she stressed enjoying their time in Zephon. Why she was so... clingy and why her feelings didn't align with what was normal. In essence, Lumina's lease on life was renewed. Once the Gods were finished with them, there was a distinct possibility that her 'fun' would end.
Not that Lumina would go along with their plans. Serah had shown her a different way, forever altering her destiny. Now she'd stay that course! On the other hand, his question did get her thinking about something. "Were you thinking that maybe you should come to my world instead, meet my friends~?" she mused but then considered, were they even her friends? Wasn't it better to call them Lightning and Serah's friends, more so? Fang wasn't fond of her mischievous ways after all and Snow saw her as the devil...
"Serah wants me to be around for her wedding. So, you might get your chance. I just have to master my powers while we're here. I can already teleport all over Zephon, provided I've been there and have a rudimentary knowledge of the landscape. I'm sure I can traverse worlds too." in other words, with enough time, assuming divine intervention wasn't the reason they were kept in Zephon, she could get Zell home, with her power.

If you don't fight for what you want, don't cry for what you lost.
Her explanation of there being two Claire's was somewhat confusing, but Zell was able to understand the gist of it. Lumina and Lightning were two pieces of the same being; and if Lumina went to her home world, she would recombine with her other half. It was for that reason that Zell wanted her to go back with him instead. They had developed a close friendship, and he didn't want her existence to end.
"I wouldn't mind meeting them. I mean, as long as it doesn't leave us stranded on another world again." The fact that he might be stuck somewhere away from home again was unsettling. He already went through this once, so Zell wanted to do all he can to do prevent it from recurring once more.
"And I wouldn't mind going to their wedding. Serah's cool. I dunno about this snow yet." Zell came to the realization that he'd never been to an actual wedding before. This would be his first one.
If Lumina could travel between worlds with her powers, then why was she still on Zephon? Zell couldn't figure this out on his own, and he also felt like ti would be a bit too aggressive to ask her such a think. He'd find out the truth to it eventually.

"What's it like to be up there, high above it all, without a care in the world~?"
Lumina paused, clearly looking surprised by Zell's admittance. For a moment, she looked into Zell's eyes and there was no doubt he was serious. More so, Lumina was surprised that he was so forthcoming with that desire. If she thought about things, Zell had changed the dynamics of their relationship a lot. Harmonizing one could say or at the very least, equalizing commitments.
Clearing her throat, Lumina spoke up, "You...want to go to Serah's wedding, w-with me?" she stressed the last part. Only to shyly look away, so she could focus her mind. "Wait, we're friends, why wouldn't he? He's also friends with Serah." there was no use overthinking this. Looking towards Zell, she smiled before offering her right hand. "I haven't practiced teleporting with someone else yet. Will you accompany me to my cabin, Mr. Bodyguard~?"
Perhaps this answered the first mystery, Lumina had only been using her teleportation for herself so far. Along with objects she brought with her of course. Taking this next step might truly push her powers, even if the distance was short. For Lumina's body began to radiate light, as well as the wispy shadows of chaos. If Zell took her hand, he'd be engulfed in Lumina's light, in order to protect him from the chaos that surrounded her. In the time it took to blink, they were gone, now upon the floor above the hallway to the bridge. Being just outside the door to Lumina's cabin, the light and chaos would subside.
"It works...well, at least short distances." Lumina noted aloud before sighing in relief. "Well then, since you're serious about this, I guess I should tell you about Snow." There was a lot to tell, so using her illusions, she allowed for a projection of several different memories to show the many facets of Snow as a person. "Snow can be a good leader, he has the responsibility for it. His efforts have helped people survive while our world was crumbling. Unfortunately, as far as my memories go, he's a heart broken man. I can imagine having Serah back, he likely bounced back to his old self. I can't imagine him being as irresponsible as he used to be given what he's been through." Lumina explained.
"As for the rest of Snow's misfits, you should probably ask Serah about them." not because she didn't know them and have means to form an opinion. It would just be a biased opinion that sounded muddled due to Serah and Lightning's memories of them. Even calling them misfits was probably influenced by Lightning, just a tad. There were other things on her mind to contemplate too. Namely how she was able to use her powers while she was here and that it didn't seem to negatively influence Zephon like it would back in Nova Chrysalia.

If you don't fight for what you want, don't cry for what you lost.
Lumina, despite having her voice changed to match her new appearance, still seemed as shy and embarrassed as when she's in her smaller form. Zell thought it was cute to see her trying to carry on a conversation in such a way.
"Of course," he said to reassure her. "I mean, you could make me go if you wanted to, Boss. That's what I'm paid to do, right?"" Boss. That was the first time he'd ever referred to Lumina as Boss, which wasn't entirely false. She was paying him for his services, after all, even if the terms of employment wasn't that serious. He let out a lugh before continuing. "I'm teasing! I'd love to go with you. What are friends for?"
Lumina continued on with her explanation of teleportation, going so far as to off him the chance to test it out with her. Zell gave a nod in agreement and stepped closer to take her hand. It wasn't like teleportation was something he had not experienced before. The entire process of time compression launched the SeeD far into the future to fight Ultimecia, only to launch him back when the deed was done. He was ready for this.
There was a flash, then darkness. By the time Zell realized what had happened, they were already back inside the ship, and in front of Lumina's cabin. The last of the dark wisps dropped and faded as Zell released Lumina's hand in surprise.
"Whoa! That was much faster than I thought it'd be!" he exclaimed while taking a step back. "That's like, some Sorceress powers right there!" There was not a proper opportunity to explain the concept of Sorceresses to Lumina yet, but if she had done something like this in public, the citizens of his world would be greatly concerned. That'd be a talk that they would need to have. Soon.
Then came the talk of Snow. She described him as irresponsible when he was younger, but eventually turning into a leader, despite the heartbreak he's endured. Zell felt bad for the guy even though he never met him. Regardless, Snow seemed like someone that he still wanted to have a chat with.
"I look forward to meeting him. I think you'd like my friends, too," Zell said, still in front of her outside of the cabin. "Well, except for Seifer and Irvine. Seifer's a real hardass that loves giving people crap. And Irvine is...well.." He then paused in order to think of a pleasant way to explain how much of a creep Irvine was. "He likes to chase the girls and doesn't have any shame about it. It's kinda funny when it backfires on him."

"What's it like to be up there, high above it all, without a care in the world~?"
Lumina couldn't help but pout, clearly showing a look of disapproval due to the title of 'Boss'. It was fine for the others that worked for her to call her such, complete with their own endearing spins. For Zell though, it was just way too formal! There was also the issue of forcing him. Lumina couldn't recall a time she so much as deigned to do so. Perhaps because she had no need to, especially when she could dangle proverbial carrots or bones instead. There was a look of relief when Zell admitted he was teasing, though it was short lived at the mention of friends. This was the second time that such a notion was disappointing to her. Except unlike last time, now Lumina knew why.
Trying not to let it affect her outwardly, she'd transported Zell and herself to just outside her cabin. His reaction to the successful teleportation was uplifting. Given how impressed he was, Lumina wanted to reveal to him more of her magic but he'd used a rather archaic term. "Sorceress?" she spoke up, looking contemplative for a moment. "Aren't those...bad? Like wicked witches?" Having been back and forth between Provo and Torensten; she'd been used to magic users calling themselves mages. Upon which further categorization could be had, depending on the type of magic a mage specialized in.
Setting aside thoughts on Sorcery for later, after giving her run down of Snow; Zell had commented about his own friends. Lumina was rather excited to hear more, staring at Zell with full attention as he proceeded. There was Seifer, who sounded like trouble. Honestly, he sounded like a more antagonistic Lightning, which caused her to smirk briefly. Then there was Irvine, Zell's explanation of him amused Lumina to no end. Complete with a look of mischief on her visage before she spoke up. "Sounds like a real lady killer, that Irvine. Should I be worried, Zell~?" playfully, Lumina batted her eyelashes.
Letting that thought linger, she'd turn around and open her cabin door. "I do wonder what your friends will think of you bringing me back with you." she admitted before gesturing for Zell to follow. The view inside her cabin was truly extraordinary, thanks to all the windows and the shape of the room. Twirling about, Lumina danced towards her chair and hopped onto it. Whilst Lumina was getting comfortable, Zell could see the cabin wasn't as eccentric as one would imagine. There was a blending of city-state cultures, with some Provo furnishing and Torensten furnishing respectively.
With clipboard in hand and pen removed from it's holster, Lumina proceeded to resume work, with a knowing grin. "So, jealous~?" she teased, clearly up to no good. That said, there were some places to sit, two chairs and a diner style table bolted down along the right side. The left side had her bed, which also seemed secured in place. Along with two swivel chairs that could be moved closer to her main Captain Owner's chair. Spinning about playfully in her chair as she worked, Lumina was excited to get Zell's thoughts.

"The sorceresses can be bad," Zell responded. He did think about Rinoa and Edea, who only had ill intentions while they were under the control of Ultimecia. Only after defeating the witch of time could they be freed from her control. "Not all of them are, though. Its a long story"
When Zell gave the details of Irvine, Lumina shot back her thoughts of on the womanizer. Then, she would tease her bodyguard once more about having some competition with Irvine. "Worried? About what?" he asked, initially clueless. It took a moment for him to catch on to what she was implying. "Oh! About Irvine? Hah! Of course not. I'm pretty sure our other friend, Selphie, hooked up with him when we finished our journey through time."
"You'll fit in just fine." There would be some concern about meeting a new group of people on an entirely different world, but Zell knew that he'd feel the same way if he traveled to whatever place Lumina originated from. "Selphie would definitely take a liking to you more than the others. She's as nice as Serah and as energetic as...well, me!"
He let out a small laugh at his own remarks while he followed Lumina into the cabin. The interior was interesting for sure. It was obvious that she'd been collecting stuff on her travels and putting it all together in this room to make it more unique. More like herself.
After entering, the pink-haired companion continued some work on her clipboard before taking a seat in a chair. To see her look so different yet behave like she was in her smaller form was something that Zell struggled to process. Lumina's true form was just so different than the girl he was used to being around. Why wasn't she like this when we first met? he thought to himself while still standing in the room.
"So, jealous~?"
"Jealous?" There she went again, poking at Zell's insecurities. The teasing brought him back from his inner thoughts and a second glance around the room was taken, only realizing now that she was referring to the captain's quarters that they were now inside of. "A little. I can tell you put a lot of work into it, no doubt."
He paused as the memories of his own bedroom surfaced. "But you should see my room in Balamb!" Of course, she would eventually see it if their task of defeating the evils were to ever be completed.
The SeeD would finally take a seat nearby, only to lean back into it comfortably with a heel brought up onto the opposite knee. "So, whatcha doing with the clipboard anyways? Inventory? Maintenance? Notes?"

"What's it like to be up there, high above it all, without a care in the world~?"
Pondering about Sorceresses, she wondered what magic was like in Zell's world. A sense of excitement and awe was building up. On the other hand, it felt like it'd take a long, long time before she'd get to see Balamb for herself. Making every bit of information a tease. One thing she imagined was that being able to perform such, might be quite a feat. Especially to call someone a Sorceress. This made Lumina worried that her powers could frighten some people. In her world, she used her powers so laissez faire, that it was genuinely a part of her. On the other hand, he did imply there were good Sorceresses at least, so she didn't feel as anxious.
What truly put her at ease, was after he mentioned she'd fit in just fine. Lumina gave a faint smile before passively adding, "Well, that's a relief and it's nice that some of your friends are in relationships. Now I'm curious~" did Zell have other friends who were in relationships? His group sounded normal and she was almost eager to meet them. Not just because it represented something new but because she imagined Zell's friends were around his age. Being around young people was like a second chance to enjoy being a child, a chance to be her Mother's daughter. It was why, even with no Lightning to deceive, Lumina maintained her youthful disguise. There was also the fact that in her younger form, she was more disarming to those around her. That was great in the earlier days of being in Zephon.
These days, now that she was handling money, inventory, and other adult issues? It just invited being underestimated and that didn't sit well with her mostly. Sometimes, being underestimated was to her advantage of course. On the other hand, now that her sister was here, as well as her other self; she didn't want to let her mischief go too far into criminal territory. After all, she wasnt a villain by any stretch. Even her name, meant Brilliant Light.
Zell's reply to her teasing was nice. He was so straightforward, at times and it made her want to be nicer, sweeter even. On the other hand, if she started being too nice and sweet, Lumina reckoned he'd probably reject it. So, in response Lumina replied, "It was...a nice distraction." as was all the work she did, if she was honest. A distraction from worrying about him but she'd leave that unsaid. She slipped up once when he came back and arguably, once more during their stay at the Inn in Provo. Nothing good came from her sincere intentions!
While contemplating this, she'd been silent when Zell inadvertently invited her to see his room. It made her smile, even as she worked, only to look up when asked what she was doing. "Inventory along with budgeting, balance sheets... boring stuff~" a few audible marks were scribbled before she continued. "Why don't you distract me with something pleasant~? You did just invite me to see your room, once we get back. So, describe it for me. What should I look forward to seeing? I bet your bed isn't as big as mines~!" Lumina reckoned if being sweet and nice was off the table, she could enjoy teasing Zell at least.
"Also, are your other friends in a relationship?" Lumina inquired, seemingly out of the blue but she did mention being curious earlier. "It sounds like you might be left behind in that regard. Unless... you've been in a relationship before?"

If you don't fight for what you want, don't cry for what you lost.
"Blah!" Lumina was doing the boring stuff, making Zell happy that the duties of a bodyguard was simple. He stays close, protects, and intervenes when trouble approaches. Basic duties were always preferred for the blonde SeeD.
"My room?" he asked, startled by the question even being asked. "Well, my bed is pretty small. It only fits one." A stroke of the chin followed as he tried to describe the layout that he had. "I mean, there's simple stuff like a table and plants. But I also have a punching bag! Oh, and my grandfather's old weapons from the war he was in."
Her second question was a little more odd. Why is she asking a weird question? Moments passed as the pieces of the puzzle slowly pieced together. The comments on Irvine, the occasional holding of his arm and hand, the constant blushing when he gets close, the concern about the impression she would have on his friends, wanting to know what his room looked like, and now the relationships of everyone he knows. It wasn't Zell who had the crush, it was Lumina.
"I--uh..." He started stumbling with his words and his fingers fidgeted with each other. "They all pretty much found someone to be with." Zell paused for a moment. "Well, except Quistis. She's always so busy trying to take care of us that I guess she never had a chance to find a partner."
Some amount of sadness came to Zell when he explained Quistis's situation to Lumina. Quistis was always there for the group. She took her role as a big sister very seriously, which made Zell feel even worse when he realized that he had previously lost his memories about her. But that was made up for when those memories returned, even though it didn't stop him from pitying his lonely friend.
"Um, well... there was this oje girl, but it wasn't really much of a relationship, honestly. We were out on missions so often that it didn't really feel special." The memory of the library girl returned. She was nice, but Zell didn't necessarily need a relationship at that time. She was one more person that he felt bad for. "It wouldn't have worked anyways, I guess."
Lumina might not have had an answer that she liked, but Zell wanted to be honest. She deserved that, at least. Even now, he wasn't sure if he was truly ready for another go at a relationship. He had friends; needed friends. In fact, Zell cared for his friends so badly that he would do whatever he had to in order to make sure they were genuinely happy. So if this is what would make Lumina happy, then maybe... just maybe.....
