"Liberation of Fate"
"Whether it's Gods or Fate, I'll rebel against them all. We should determine our fate with our own hands..."
A few days after their reunion, Lumina was loading up an airship. Having settled in Provo for months, she managed to make a lot of money trading goods, purchasing others. A lot of it fairly legal but only because of her primary gambit. The girl with the Diamond Dust or so her alias went in certain circles. There was a practical reason for Claire to upkeep her code name, in light of her revelations and clear mind. For one, it made a nice cover during her shadier operations.
Tossing a bag of gil to Serah, Lumina rested her left hand on her hip. "I wonder if I've become too complacent, too settled here in Provo?" she asked a loud and not in a rhetorical fashion. "Life here seemed so simple before. All I wanted to do was map out the country, learn as much as I can and live very comfortably doing it. When I found Zell in Sonora, I didn't think that I'd end up taking care of him." she explained before closing her eyes. Now life was flipped upside down and in protest of the new changes in her life, Lumina distracted herself with business.
"Miss Clarity, we're ready to depart now." came the voice of a young man from Torensten. He piloted this airship and managed Lumina's many trade goods between Provo and Torensten respectively. "Okay then, safe travels Renwick. Thanks, as always." she replied before waving with her right hand. As Renwick and the others in her employ moved off, she turned to look to Serah.
"Would you believe this is a lot easier to manage than the applications for government aid back home? I guess past experiences are good after all." she smiled faintly as her right hand combed through her hair gently. Naturally, there were things Lumina wanted to share with Serah. Albeit privately, some for practical reasons, others so that Zell wouldn't think too badly of her.

How would Claire feel about being compared to Snow? It was the first thought she had when she saw the goings on. Leading with a charisma like his. Not the bloated ego kind no, a real leader like her hero. Led with his words and his actions... that was the vibe she got here.
The thought of Claire's reaction to the comparison made her giggle. Come to think of it she hadnt asked Claire's opinion of Snow yet. she wondered if it differed from how Light used to feel? Heh, probaly not. Or at least not at the core of things. Bit that was fine. even if all the world misunderstood her hero, her guardian-she would always k kw his heart. He was the man who would do anything, go through anything, become anything to save the people he loved.
It was nice spending time with her sister. It was nice to see her back in the swing of things after their emotional reunion. It was truly a sight to see her in control of a situation. Serah reached out for the bag of gil and caught it with flair, spinning on her heel as she did so. She had to show off a bit to after all!
"Theirs nothing wrong with settling down but... I always enjoyed going places with Snow myself. I guess that's why this seems so fun! Airships... they bring back memories"
Not all of which were good of course. Lumina had to deal with Zell huh? Zell was a nice guy, she knew that much. Even if she coudnt help but think back to 'hes taking her from me' She knew it was the best thing for her sister in her heart. She could live a life fully free of the bindings of Lighting... of her... of everything in there world that held her down and bound her.
But she coudnt help that selfish feeling in her that wanted to keep Claire with her. keep her sisters where she could be with them forever. She didn't want another member of her family to go away. Saying goodbye was the hardest part. But this time she woudnt have Claire to keep her up, because Claire would be the one leaving her, even if it was only one half of her... it was Claire, it was Lumina. It was her sister....
Saying goodbye was the hardest part
"But your amazing at taking care of others... Mom would be proud of you ya know"
She watched as Serah's colleagues took off on the airship to deliver their goods, waving them off as they did so with a smile. Yes, mom would defnelty be proud of what Claire had been able to do here.
"Oh I can belive it! Speciully with OUR goverment Claire just.... sheesh!"
Cocoon..... So many painful memories took place there. But it was also the place that gave her her sisters gave her Snow and the others. She coudnt say she compelty regretted living there, but she was glad they were able to leave that 'goverment' behind. She stepped back and rested her hands on her hips looking around the dock for a moment before smiling bright
"Maqui would go wild if he saw this place...."
The little mechanic might even blow a fuse looking through everything!
At the moment Serah was simply enjoying making conversation with her sister, it would be up to Claire herself if she wanted to talk about something deeper. But her? She was simply enjoying the time they were able to spend together.

"Liberation of Fate"
"Whether it's Gods or Fate, I'll rebel against them all. We should determine our fate with our own hands..."
Not that Claire would admit this aloud but it was really good to spend time with Serah. Not the way they had for centuries in Crystal Sleep but physically. The past was the past, what mattered was what she did today! In this case, it would be tease her sister, to get back for all that teasing she did concerning Zell. It started with her remark about Snow, to which Claire immediately replied, "Oh? Did you tell Lightning about those trips? I wouldn't, her moods are like a walking thunder cloud or static electricity." she forewarned in a playful tone.
Even if she'd been locked away, Claire had been along for the ride over the years in Cocoon. There were some things she could tell Serah that would surprise her, make her laugh, even confirm her deepest suspicions. She would, in time as she wasn't in a hurry to leave Zephon. There was something about this fractured country. Perhaps that was why she was able to gather up a small group of people around her. That or she was always good at taking care of others. Even if her help sometimes went awry...
"I think, no I'm sure she would because she's always known I could. Her worry was that I'm terrible at receiving that same help and care from others. I learned that lesson, it was the last one she taught me, back at the hospital." it made her smile, even if it was sad. The compliment gave her a faint blush. Revealing a more vulnerable person that was more human than soldier. Especially one that was able to laugh, soft and sweet, at the idea of their sometimes incompetent government.
"I think... No, I know you've been spending too much time with Snow. The government wasn't so bad...well the financial aid workers at least. Thanks to them, I took certain things for granted. What kind of adult forgets how important it is to spend time with family?" not that she had room to talk. Claire knew the motivation for Lightning's actions clear as day. Even went about similar precautions upon arriving in Zephon. The difference between the two, was approach and ideals. Knowing that she had Serah's literal well being to care for. She couldn't have joined up with any martial guild. Relying on the kindness of strangers, as well as the Children of Chaos in this world, she got by relatively comfortable. With time for a lot of mischief in Sonora.
"Blow a fuse, from this? Torensten and Sonora are much more advanced. If you'd like, Renwick could fly us to Torensten sometime~? Your big sis has friends all over~!" this was one of her more humble boasts but it was true, it was how she managed to pull off the small taste Serah was seeing.
"Oh, I almost forgot! Where are you keeping our other sister anyway? There's a really sweet innkeeper who gave me a long term stay room before business exploded. It's very quaint with a nostalgic scent." Although there was something amusing, as well as heartwarming that Serah had taken care of Lightning. She was worried about her other self, largely because she had a very rough transition here.

Serah was immieditly taken back by Claire's counter, an embarrassed blush cover her face as she nervously scratched at her cheek.
"Well you see... ummm Well I was GOING to but she was always so busy and didnt have time! Yeah that's it... yeah"
It wasnt compellty untrue, Serah had experience with Light not always listening to her during that time. But it wasnt as if she never had an opportunity to. She just.. knew Lighting woudnt approve. But she always had fun with Snow, Snow always helped her feel so alive, So wanted. their was never a moment when that wasnt the case.
She gave a smile when Claire agreed their mom would in fact be proud of her. She was glad she could see it to. Claire had grown so much, even sense they had last spoke. It was a wonderful sight to behold.
"That's right Claire! You've done great! hehe... I... still miss her"
Mention of the hospital brought up the memories that time with it. She didnt become depressed by them-but they would always be memories of the day everything changed. The day Claire changed. The day Serah changed. Her first goodbye... but not her last.
Thankfully she didnt have time to focus on that as her sister quickly moved on to talking about her fiance. The comments caused Serah to huff as she adjusted her hands on her hips to a more prominent position.
"Hey name one time I went charging into things without think...dont answer that"
She thought better of that statement at the last second, but Claire likely woudnt miss the chance to comment on it anyway. As for the rest of the statement Serah gave a light smile. she remembered that time. Before Snow. Everything Claire did had been for Serah's sake. She knew that. But in pursuit of that Light may have... sometimes forgotten to spend time with her. And maybe it was a LITTLE lonely at times before she met Snow, just a little. But that was in the past right?
"Come on admit it! Snow's a great influence, I mean you've seen the lengths he'll go to for the people he loves... I'd say hes more than earned his sp... oh that reminds me, you dont get to go poof before your a bridesmaid at our wedding Claire! You and Light have to give me away. I'll find... someway to make that work out"
She absolutly had to. She woudnt get another chance after all. She wanted to make every moment she could with Claire memorable. She would make as many memories as she could with her. So that when they parted... They could always look back on them and smile.
Oh that wasnt fair! she didnt know about the other places on this world. She had only been in Provo or forests and mountain tops! Though if those other places were even more advanced then... yeah Maqui would just go wild. Serah grinned at the offer and nodded, the prospect clearly exciting her. If she was going to be here a while their was no harm in seeing some of the sights the world had to offer right? She wondered what it looked like from above... it was probaly a sight to behold.
"Really you promise?? I'd love to!'
Oh Claire wanted to know where flight was? At first she thought about teasing her for it buuuut of course she cared. She had only ever wanted Light to learn, in her own special way. it wasnt like Claire HATED her. They had their ups and downs with each other. Truly? Claire likely knew Lighting better than anyone in the end. Hands now to her back she thought pit how best to describe the area.
"She's just outside Provo, resting in a cabin by the woods. Fang helped me bring her there, I expected her to visit more but... shes probaly busy right, Noctis to. oh you probaly dont know Noctis, hes not from our world-but hes a nice guy, he helped us save Light"
She paused a moment, thinking to herself before continuing.
"I hid her gunblade to make sure shes rests. Light promised me she wasnt going to get into fights for a while anyway but well, you know how pur sister is~ So if it's not there she HAS to rest!"
She looked towards the top of the time. Since she got her curiosity had been spiking inside her. Claire hadnt yet told her how she got into all this... she wanted to know! It looked so productive, so different from what she expected. Well not TO different. But she half expected Claire to have some kind of theving or spy network. Oh or maybe An assistant to some big shot, giving advice. Claire was great at that. But she hadnt quite expected this. She rattled the bag of gil playfully and smiled with a giggle.
"So how does all this work sis? How did it start?"

"Liberation of Fate"
"Whether it's Gods or Fate, I'll rebel against them all. We should determine our fate with our own hands..."
Claire didn't look convinced by Serah's quick retort. There was a knowing look in her sea blue eyes, even without her mischievous grin backing it up. Though she didn't comment on it, opting to let their conversation take its course. The topic of their Mother and that final visit was a tough one. So much had changed and while Claire was grateful that Serah wasn't in the room for their Mother's instructions on what to do next. The guilt of not following those instructions still stung, even if it was better to learn late than never. That's why she gave Serah a quick hug. It was only natural to miss their Mother but she wanted to comfort Serah all the same.
Upon Claire's quick subject change to Snow, Claire couldn't help but note Serah's posture. Knowing when to prod and when not to, was very important. Same for holding back the desire to laugh a bit, as Claire wondered who the big sister was in this moment. Serah looked like one of her old teachers, ready to lecture her for a prank she played on some boy. Immediately, given Serah's retort, Claire raised her right hand like a school girl. Slowly, she curled her fingers slightly to hold up her index finger, then middle finger, then ring finger, then pinky followed by her thumb. That was five but when she added her left index and middle finger, she batted her eyelashes sweetly, smile not fading in the least. Yes, Claire could count seven times where Serah charged in without thinking and that was off hand! In that way, the Farron sisters were very much alike.
Well, Lightning and Serah anyway. Claire didn't leap into danger. She planned things out and acted rationally. Well, there was her daring escape from Sonora but she'd maintain that was for a good cause! The Farrons certainly knew how to rebound though, Serah continued bravely defending Snow. Though she left out a small line that Claire picked up on, causing her to raise her right brow as her hands relaxed to her side for a moment. "Snow earned his place in the family, you mean~?" she reiterated with a teasing tone before placing her left hand on her hip.
"Sure, I admit it." she said coolly, likely throwing her sister for a loop. Having spent a lot of time with Snow after his loss of Serah, his bleeding heart was enough to convince her of his true nature. "He can't be as bad as Lightning thinks given how much he pinned for you, pleaded with gods, wishing for your rebirth. He was so gloomy, he's totally lost without you." and thus, while she wouldn't say it aloud, today; the two were perfect for each other.
Of course, that wasn't the crux of what Serah wanted. Her own suspicions from their reunion proved true. Serah didn't want to lose Claire, she wanted her to be in her life always. So she closed her eyes for a moment before responding, "You know Serah, as long as I have my connection to Chaos, I can visit you and Snow, whenever you want. It is that kind of power after all~" one that transcended realms to connect people's hearts and souls. It made them human and gave them strength capable of defeating the Gods. Whatever summoned them and others from their worlds to Zephon, may have been very powerful but... it also meant there must be a way for them to traverse between worlds too! She wasn't going to leave finding those answers up to Serah either. "I just have to master these powers while we're here. That's why, I promise to take you to Torensten. We could have gone today but I can't just up and leave Zell without notice." she concluded before adding, "Oh and we should be enjoying the current life we've got, right~?"
That last part, even though it was spoken softly, was important to stress. Both of them had a way of becoming too focused on their goals, that little moments passed them by. Well, in Claire's humble opinion she was excluded from that. So Lightning and Serah had a way of becoming too focused. Playfully twirling on her heel, she'd look to the direction of the airship taking off before resuming discussion. She'd asked about Lightning's whereabouts and gotten an interesting answer.
"Fang's here? Oh no, poor Vanille must be so lonely." Claire could barely hide her preference between the two. Vanille and her had gotten close, while Fang didn't like Lumina's mischievous nature. That didn't mean she disliked Fang, far from it. She was relieved that someone dependable from their world was here. "If you ever see Noctis again, you'll have to give him a gift as thanks." she noted off hand, not knowing much about him, except what she was told. He did have a nice name though, entirely the opposite o her own.
"Mmm... I'm still a bit worried. You may have hid her Blazefire Saber, however if Lightning wanted to get up to mischief, she still could. After all, she is a trained soldier, she knows how to fight unarmed. All that training, I actually would have quit if I were in charge..." Claire shook her head. While nostalgia took her, she blinked when asked how this all started. Then she began to rub the back of her head, meaning there was something...awry about all this.
"Well~ It's kind of thanks to Zell..." she'd admit, though it was clear the full story would have to be pried from her.

Serah rubbed the back of her head nervously in response to. The look on her eyes telling her she didnt at all by that excuse. Thankfully though her sister didnt seem to want to press her on that subject. It was a good thing to because she had NO idea how she would have tried to work around any come back she made to her. But remembering those times..... They were wonderful memories.
She smiled in her sisters embrace. her comfort indeed made the younger farron feel better. Everyday she had wished she could have taken better care of their mother, even at that age. Their were rare moments she even wished she could have taken....
No, Snow and her sisters would chew her out if they heard she had those thoughts. Her mother would to she knew it, even as sweet as she was.So she coudnt dwell on what might have been. What would they all want her to do? Live her life to the fullest, so that was exactly what she would do!
...And she answered anyway. Seven times to be exact it seemed Claire remembered. A fact that made the pinkette blush in emberesement. She didnt even hesitate ether! She just KNEW. Well..of course she knew but.. just... she flailed a bit, then gave a playful hmph! in response.
When Claire next finished her statement though she nodded in confirmation. Of course Snow had. He was a hero, her hero. Her guardian. He had always put her safety, heck even just her feelings first. He believed her when no one else would. He had more than earned his place.
"Of course I do h...you agree?"
She blinked in surprise, but that surprise, likely not intential on Claire's part brought her down. Snow never brought up those times. She coudnt blame him really, no one really wanted to remeber the end of the world. More than that she was sure he didnt want to imagine a time she wasnt around. She would have felt the same in his shoes.
"He's my hero"
It was a simple response, one that would probaly be of place to most people. But combined with the solemn expression on her in that moment it was likely clear to someone like claire. 'he's my hero' inteled so much more than just those three words. It was a statement of who Snow was. the wonderful, wonderful man he was. She missed him... so much.
It seemed Claire woudnt let such things remain long however. When she said she'd be able and to visit her anytime Serah perked up, the information having the intended effect as her frowny, mopey demeanor quickly became the reverse.
"You really can?? You promise Claire?"
She claimed she just had to master her powers... while they were here. Well that did make sense. Even the limited extent which she and Noel used the Chaos to command monsters used to take a lot of practice. Both with the monsters and the power itself. Yeah that had to be it! Well if that was the case she would simply have to help her and make sure she had it down pat before they went back home. Their was no force in the world that would stop Serah from bringing Claire to her wedding, not monsters or even gods!
"Then we'll do it together, I'll help you!"
The youngest Farron was quickly getting back into the groove, her previous demeanor might as well being a distant memory with how cheery she now came across. That ray of hope had served a strong purpose, one that shined right through her gloom and made her smile again.
She was right. Serah had to be reminded of that a lot, which was ironic considering she always told Lighting the same. Scratching the back of her head she pouted a brief moment before nodding.
"Fine fineeeee you win Claire, I will I promise, I wont go to far, I'll enjoy my time here, our time together"
She wanted that, truly. She wanted to make up for all the time they lost. Of course she woudnt be neglecting Lighting ether-Maybe she could organize a sisters night out sometime.
Serah giggled, Vanille was Claire's favorite of the pair clearly. It didn't surprise her when she thought about it. Those two were a LOT alike after all. She could see them putting together some kind of party club if Vanille was found here to.
"Yep! Fang was still looking for her last I knew, Its probaly why she hasn't visited much now that I think about it"
She knew she would he if it was her in that situation.
"I wish I knew what Noctis liked... oh! hes some kind of royality, maybe a crown...? I dont know... but your right I need to repay him somehow, We coudnt have saved her without him"
When the subject at last came to their sister Serah gave a 'tut tut" motion with her hands. She had planned for that. A certain fluffball knew all the ways the young Farron meant to keep Light safe. To show Claire what she meant turned her body around, pointing out the absence of her own Starseeker, otherwise known as Mog's weapon form. She was fully confident that with Mog there Light woudnt be going off anywhere until she was healed up.
"With the state she's in even Mog could take her sis. I've thought it all out I promise, I woudnt be able to leave if I hadnt. Boy sometimes I wish.. you could have been, more time together would have been nice..."
She flinched, having let that comment come without thinking, shown when she tried to quickly move on to the last bit of what her sister said. It all started with Zell eh? How convenient~ She clasped her hands behind her back and gained a wide smile to her face once more.
"You know if I didnt know any better I'd say you had a knight in shining armor on your hands~ Come on you have to tell your sister! What did he dooo?"

"Liberation of Fate"
"Whether it's Gods or Fate, I'll rebel against them all. We should determine our fate with our own hands..."
Serah's flailing when receiving Claire's silent response, amused the older Farron. Their conversation so far had covered various topics, with highs and lows. Her next response seemed to work quite well with the silent response. Keeping Serah on her toes, as she was quite surprised. In this way, Claire was able to demonstrate her differences from Lightning. On the other hand, it wasn't entirely a victory. Serah's response to it, indicated all her longing, with only three words. Not quite the response she was hoping for but very understandable. There was something else to it though, the surprise wasn't just Claire's agreement. A hint of not knowing was there, which confused Claire. How could Serah know this, she was based on Claire's memories, inside her at the time of Snow's deep depression.
This wasn't the only anomaly when Claire thought about it further. She didn't think it was unnatural for Serah to remember her adventures so vividly. It's more she seemed to remember her time in Crystal Stasis like a passing memory. Was Serah from a future timeline perhaps? One where she was successful in protecting her? That would explain things. This thought lingered in the back of her mind as their conversation progressed. "Of course I promise~ I found my reason for being in this world already. I just have more reasons now and I'm glad I can count on your help too." she explained, somewhat cryptically.
Seeing the ray of hope perk her up, Claire was relieved. Serah was practically shining now and that made her happy, as well as proud. "If anyone could find Vanille, besides me of course~ It's Fang. On the other hand, I can't help but feel our friends would be safer back home than here." in essence, the idea of wishing their friends were here with them... was tough. The forces that be, were powerful in terms of their summoning. "Royalty, huh~?" that certainly surprised Claire about this Noctis. "I hope I get to meet him." maybe she could help with finding something for a sophisticated gentleman.
"Ah, of course Mog is the backup. Lightning wouldn't sneak away from Mog, especially if she's not in full condition." Claire thought to herself and if that somehow did happen, Mog would find Serah right away. This made Claire oh so amused but she nodded in agreement, until Serah slipped up with her wording. Serah's wish didn't surprise her, "I will make it up to you for that now that I'm able to." she commented softly.
Besides, what Serah really wanted to hear was about Zell. She called him a Knight, no, her Knight, in shining armour no less. Claire blinked in confusion for a moment. While Claire was a bit slow when it came to her own emotions, perhaps because there was so much of it or more than likely, due to her connection to chaos. Soon her eyes widened and she let out a loud gasp.
"D-do you think...Zell, see's it like that? This might sound weird but when it comes to my abilities, what I can do as a person. I don't really see myself as any different from Lightning. We went through the same events after all but it's clear just looking at me, that I don't look as strong, physically. Especially when I appear younger so..." perhaps Zell thought he needed to protect her, to a point. Then once she was safe in Provo, it was okay to leave for a bit. Then once he found out everything, Claire couldn't help but think he ran straight back to her. Which, gave her complicated feelings, resulting in a faint blush. Was she always going to be like this when thinking about Zell now!?
"Now I feel a new level of embarrassment." she sighed but it was much too happy. "So, that story you want to hear, this is my perspective so far." she began, clearing her throat as she tried to recollect the experience. How nice it would be to have an Oracle driver recorder around now. Well, she could display the events as illusions but part of connecting with her sister was telling these stories first hand.
"When I met Zell back in Sonora, it was entirely on accident. I had picked him at random as part of my mischief, attempting to distract the guards from pursuing me for smuggling Diamond Dust. I um, eheh... made the guards think Zell had it instead..." Claire paused, rubbing the back of her head. Her blush deepening just a bit before she continued, "O-of course I wasn't going to let a bystander take the fall. Especially one that might just be a denizen of this world. To my surprise, he fought off the guards easily and showed his skill. Kind of like a Knight, if I'm being honest. Ah but that's not the term I used back then, I just admitted her had the Muscle to be a...guard. The problem was, after helping him escape further pursuit, I left for just a little bit to get him some hotdogs, Zell really loves hotdogs. Only to find him passed out! At that time, I didn't feel like he was guarding me but rather that I was protecting him. It was easy and I just figured, it had to be me. Especially when, after I promised I'd be able to take care of both of us, he turned down my offer and said he just wanted to get back home."
Taking a moment to consider that crucial juncture, Claire realized that's when her feelings changed a bit. "I thought he might just be good company when I helped get him away from the guards and if it didn't last, then it's fine. Once he said he wanted to get home, it wasn't about having company anymore or trying to prevent myself from being lonely. I had to make sure that my plan worked so that we had any resource available on Zephon, so he could find his way back home. Getting Zell, a wanted man and all the Diamond Dust I um... 'acquired' out of Sonora wasn't easy." this made Claire giggle, a very fun and engaging challenging. Everything that could go wrong, did.
"Despite our best efforts to get Zell a disguise and avoid our Caravan being properly searched at the border... We ran into raiders from the North and the Guards possibly in pursuit of us or doing a patrol for raiders. In the end, we got separated and the Caravan had to pull over for awhile some ways out of Sonora. I did my best to protect it, given the merchandise but I wasn't going to leave without Zell. Especially since he got captured just as we were so close to a get away. Once he escaped Sonora, again with some help from someone on the inside... We got away successfully and travelled to Provo. In Provo I began to search out some buyers for the Diamond Dust, learned about Provo's reliance on certain technology provided by Sonora and struck a few deals to help out." oh how proud Claire sounded of this mischief. That she had no shred of shame right now.
Concluding her story on the start of her criminal empire, Claire had a very serious question for Serah. "I've been wondering, I have... memory issues, just like Zell had memory issues. You seem to remember a lot, sis. So, I wanted to know... Before you were summoned here, what was life like. I'm guessing you're from the future or at least, a future where Bhunivelze is defeated. Do you know what my fate is, back home...?" This was a difficult question, brewing within her subconscious for sometime but she was glad she had the courage to ask.

Serah smiled brightly. Claire didnt break promises. No matter the form that held true. No matter what people thought of her that held true. That's why if Claire had been trying to trick her or simply make her not worry she would have avoided that word. But she promised, so she knew it to be true. It made her happy to, that she could finally help her sister. She could stand by Light, she could stand by Claire. If need be she could defend Claire! She could do... What they had always done for her.
"Of course you can count on me! I'm right here by your side Claire. Together we can do anything, that's the sisterly bond don't you think?"
Serah giggled at her sisters claim she could find Vanille even better than Fang. Well that was hardly fair was it? Sense becoming Lumina she kinda had an leg up over anyone else. Mix that with the charisma she absolutly drained out of Lightining when they split and boom, you had a cocktail of tricks for Claire to use however she needed. Serah used to be part of that cocktail, but they were split up now. Unless past her was still in Claire and...
"Oh I can introduce you! next time hes around anyway..."
Nope, nope nope she was not going down that confusing line of thinking, the Historia Crux had given her enough confusion thank you very much.
"To be honest I agree.. I was hoping I was the only from our world here when I came here.... but then I met Fang again... and then Light... I'm not sure how to feel about this world right now"
She grimaced, then shook her head.
'It let me meet new people lile Noctis and Zell but... this world also birthed the things that led to Lightings suffering, to that evil creature that twisted her into something she wasnt"
She still hadnt been able to go into detail with Claire about what happened that day. About the sadness she felt, the anger she felt towards that creature. About almost losing her sister forever. She didnt know how to. She wasnt certain she wanted to. It wasnt that she didnt trust Claire. The memory was just... to painful, a fact that registered on her face just from little bit she had already recounted.
Though Claire's declaration did bring a light smile to her face. Tears came to her eyes for a moment, the emotions begining to well up inside her.
"T..thank you... I'm sorry I dont mean to make you feel bad.. I... you have nothing to make up, I'm just happy we can be together"
She cracked a giggle through her emotional state. Just like Light huh? Nah. Not even back then was Claire the same as Light. She had made sure of that after all. She wiped the tears from her eyes and smiled a moment.
'Your not the same as Light sis. But that's the whole point right? You were that missing part of her. But now your simply you... That's how I see it. You both bair the name of Claire Farron, your both my big sister. But your also 'Lumina' and 'Lightining' right? Your each your own person"
She complelty belived that now. She had been with Lighting after all, as well as Claire. They could eschew be their own person and Claire free from the rules of their world... didnt have to do anything she didnt want to. She didnt have to go back to Light. She didnt have to take orders. She didnt have to go back.
.....
The world doesnt need two Claire Farrons
Says who?
She sighed, before answering the part of her question regarding Zell Serah listened to the story her sister told intently. Even in the emotional state she had gotten into a smirk crossed her face the more Claire gave her.
"He probaly doesnt know it yet... he seems hardheaded like that, but going by that story... I'd say yes. you both seem like such a lovely young couple to me... ahhh love.. oh but.."
One would not he mistaken for doubting the emotional state of Serah with the stern position she then took with Claire, putting her hands on her hips and giving her a 'meanie miss farron' glare like she would her students.
"No more putting stuff on others! speciully what I assume to be a CRIME sis! I'd hate to have to ground you..."
One would also be forgiven for thinking that Serah was the older sister in that moment... the dynamic likely flipped on its head.
But then the emotions building in her broke. Like a floodgate tears game out of her eyes with Claire's question. 'Lumina' wasnt in there future. Or at least not as she was. They became one again. Lumina returned to Lighting. She wasnt entirely sure what that meant happened to Claire as a whole. for all she knew it meant 'Lumina' was gone altogether in that moment, returning what she held to Light.
"O..oh sorry C...claire I umm... seem to be having a bit of memory trouble myself I... dont remeber, I'm sure its h..happy though, with that jerk of a god gone now, your right... about that"
She didnt know so she coudnt say. She didnt want to say what she did know for fear of hurting her. What was she supposed to say? You went back to Light? Your ether gone or fully merged with the part of you that split you apart in the first place? She didnt know how to explain it. She didnt know if she could. But she coudnt lie to her. She sighed heavly. Claire woudnt buy that though, by now she was probaly already calling her out on it. So Serah dug deep in her. She coudnt explain it, but she could... as painful as it was for her to do so make it clear to Claire what happened.
"You did what you tried to do before, when you learned Light was hurt... you both... became Claire, whole I... I'm sorry I dont know fully... how th..that went"
She was an emotional wreck now, clealry that had affected her, Lumina being back now, being with her bringing all those emotional to the surface. It was no fault of Lighting of course. She was sure they had both agreed it.
But not knowing the results of it... made it the hardest thing she could try and tell the person who went by 'Lumina'

"Liberation of Fate"
"Whether it's Gods or Fate, I'll rebel against them all. We should determine our fate with our own hands..."
"Serah is there for you, too. When times are tough, she'll help you. You can rely on her. Don't forget that." Claire spoke, some tears welling up in her eyes but she stood tall, smiled wide before closing her eyes. "Mom told me that back at the hospital. This time, I'll follow all her instructions, after all, she was right." Claire reinforced.
Zephon had become a place where she could be her Mother's daughter again. Instead of Serah's guardian named Lightning. There were even new people to meet and learn from. "Oooh, being introduced to royalty sounds like it'll be so much fun! I really haven't met a lot of people that aren't from Zephon." it spoke to Claire merely enjoying her time here like a second life. Something which made her feel a bit guilty, given what Serah had to go through. Though she'd shake that doubt off, it was that guardian nature that caused hr to underestimate Serah's strength, way too often in the past. There really was a time where she felt she was a better parent than her parents. The thought of such hubris mildly annoyed her, especially knowing Serah was just happy to spend time with her.
"That's why I want to make it up." she explained, "As my own person, I don't agree with Lightning. The more I get to spend time with you, face to face, the more I realize that we are different. That I went along with decisions so easily." she shook her head now, "You know... Snow is, a lot like our Father. Zell is too actually, now that I think about it..." her voice trailed off and while she took a long moment to think about it. She felt like she was rebelling against her entire life pre-separation and indirectly she may have stumbled into the why.
"S-serah! D-don't call it love! I'm sure I just... like Zell, as a friend." at least, so Claire thought but that didn't explain why she was blushing. Nor did she have any good explanation if pressed. Likewise, when the roles reversed between the two, she became immediately sheepish. "Ah...crimes, right...s-sorry sis. I-it's not like I'd have let him you know--- I won't do it again..." she sighed, feeling rightfully defeated in this instance.
Her whimsical nature did tend to go wrong at times, she felt that had something to do with the chaos but making that a crutch for her behaviour, wasn't a good idea. What was a reasonable crutch, pertained to her present existence and the question she asked Serah. The response she got was... well Claire was the older sister, regardless of being Lumina. Serah was attempting to conceal the truth and in the end, she admitted what little she knew. This left Claire silent and thoughtful, eyes downcast as she cupped her chin.
"I can...fill in the blanks." Claire began, closing her eyes as a faint smirk graced her lips. "Lightning is very subtle, so if there was any difference, you wouldn't see it easily. I'd hope that being whole, meant she felt lighter with a new outlook on life. In the times you checked in on Lightning before, setting aside hiding her gunblade. She did trust you and follow your instructions, right?" after getting a response, Claire opened her eyes.
"Then I'd say the future me is fine and well." she'd admit before holding up her right palm. "One God separates us, now they've summoned us, separately. Just from different timelines I imagine, since I have my power over chaos, something a future me couldn't wield while being in a new world." she'd admit before her thoughts shifted somewhat.
"Then I guess it's possible that your past self, is inside me. Thanks to you, as well as chaos giving me physical form, I'm able to exist." and given the circumstances, that was okay.

Today was a roller coaster of emotions. Both joyful and sad. But this was one that made her happy. Since they were little Claire had insisted on being the one who did all the work. She put it all on herself to the point of distancing herself from others as much as she could. Even her own sister. It was why hearing those words made her happy. She had seen it once, of course. In their peaceful new world. But hearing it was something else. It broke through whatever sadness she had been feeling, it warmed her heart. It filled her with determination to not let her sister down. She was strong new-She could stand at her side, even protect HER now! She would do just that. She nodded in confirmation.
"We can support each other, me and you... even Light! sis thank you... hearing that... yes you can always rely on me!"
Was it weird for her to be proud of her sister for this revelation? She was the younger sister so that should be the other way around right? She didnt have much time to contemplate that though-not with Claire making the situation VERY embarrassing VERY fast! The younger farron flailed once more as she moved back and shook her head as she blushed in emberesiment.
"Don't say things like that Claire! do you relize how akward that sounds?! Though... You know that means you two were hating on someone who's like our dad hehe~"
Serah's only memories of her father were what their mother and Claire herself told her as she grew up as, Serah herself had only recently been born when he passed away. But she recognized how difficult it kuat have been for both Claire and their mother. Her mom had to cope with the loss of the man she loved, Claire with the loss of her father-all while trying to raise her and keep her happy. It mad ether wonder... had she thanked them enough? She hoped so.
Serah grinned leaning in with a smile when Claire denied it being love. Rather confidently she shook head and giggled.
"The only obvious thing is how bad you are at hiding it sis~ Who would have thought my sister, lovestruck~ Its cute really! And even better it's with the same kind of heroic guy you knocked me for liking hehehe"
It was funny in it's own way. But Serah was happy to, it was like she thought before. Claire deserved someone like Zell. Someone who could keep her safe when even she coudnt, but also someone who could make her happy. The two lovebirds might be oblivious themselves, but she was calling it! I mean Zell was LITTLERY going to take Claire to his world. You didnt just do that for some random buddy right? As for the her apology Serah simply nodded and let it go... for NOW. It would be a different story if she got Claire in antics herself!
She became thoughtful when the subject came back to Lighting and the subject of her and Lumina becoming one. Now that she thought about it once she had become free of the parasite and woke up Light had in fact listened to her instructions regarding her recovery, they were even able to talk for a bit, just the two of them. Light put her faith in Serah to make sure she helped her recover.
"Y..your right... she did"
She began to pick up as Claire continued her explanation. It lifted a weight off her chest to hear Claire say the future her was well and good within Lighting. She gave a smile, a bright loving smile to Claire as she said those words.
"If you ask me, it seems like the Gods really like messing with the Farron sisters, woudnt you agree Claire?"
Some with care, most with malice in one way or the other. The common theme was underestimating them-it was never could idea to underestimate the will of a Farron sister!
She frowned, all this timeline confusion was getting to her. It made her mind a mess!
"This is all so confusing... does that mean you can talk like we did? What if the gods brought you seperate of me, giving you form themselves? Gosh this is why their so confusing.... theirs no way that god could have created a simple pure world when they make more weird decisions than humans ever do!"
