"Destiny"
"Destiny and Fate are never left to chance-------------Then what is free will and the human condition?"
As time passed in this awkward but touching reunion, Lumina slowly regained her faculties. The tears she shed, were long overdue. Displaced by time and the pressing need to grow up, to become strong. So that others couldn't make her cry. Now, with her heart no longer locked away, there was clarity.
Quiet as she was, she appreciated being held by Serah. Thoughts going back to the past, back to their Mom, her final words. Instructions on how to get by. She was always the Claire that wanted to try that advice, a road never traversed. One of many, closed off, ignored, deemed unnecessary. Her other self had a role to play, one she'd chosen even before their Mother's death. At the funeral of their Father. Reality was, Serah didn't need that Claire. She'd done a lot on her own and thus the burden was over. Not that she'd ever call it that, nor was it ever their Mother's intention to let it get to this point.
Now she had a choice to make, a deal was offered to her. She had looked to Zell just as Serah wanted her to. Go to a new world, Zell's world. He was serious but she had no idea how to take that. For a moment, she looked to Serah, realizing what that would mean. It made her feel sad, that things couldn't be different. "The world... doesn't need two Lightnings." she stated solemnly before looking to Zell once more. "The world shouldn't forget who Claire Farron is or the time she went by Lumina, either." she'd continue, before gazing up to the skies above Provo.
"Ordinarily, we can't change the past." she reiterated before closing her eyes. "We can learn from it though. I won't just leave you to run off for my own happiness, Serah. I'll make sure you and Lightning, get back to our world. After that..." she slowly opened her eyes and rose up to her feet. "I'm sure there's room for a Claire Farron in Balamb, riiight~? Well, knowing me, I'd make room either way." she stated, accepting Zell's deal.
"Oh, I almost forgot. Serah, Zell's not my boyfriend. Where I come from, guys make their intentions to date known. Also, he doesn't even know what I really look like, yet~" and thus her form was engulfed in light, as well as chaos; the very thing that gave her physical form. When light and shadow subsided, Lumina appeared about the same age as Zell with much longer hair than Lightning, neatly combed out just like their Mother. She was also slightly taller than Zell, by an inch.

If you don't fight for what you want, don't cry for what you lost.
Lumina’s mood shifted to something more positive after Zell made his offer. Serah, on the other hand, seemed more concerned. Serah did a good job making it look as if she approved of Lumina going to Zell’s world, but her long pauses and concerned expressions conflicted with her statements of approval. There would surely be a conversation between him and Serah regarding Lumina’s choice of destination.
“Of course, there’s room,” Zell said cheerfully and nodding his head. “I’m sure my other friends there would love to meet you, too.”
When Lumina rose and made the statement that Zell was not her boyfriend, he butted in to agree with her. “Yeah, we’re not like that!” He knew she was his friend. A very close friend. But romantic? Psh! If I was romantically interested he thought, trying to figure out why Serah continued to insist on there being a relationship, I’d do something like try to bring her with me…to….Balamb……..Oh no. The realization that he was feeling hurt when she did was a revelation to the blonde teen.
Zell wasn’t even paying attention to Lumina’s statement about her true form, at least not until she actually changed. The wisps of light and dark wrapped around her form as her body grew behind a flare of blinding light. When the rays dimmed, Lumina’s new form stood in place where the smaller girl once was. She was taller than before, even now becoming slightly taller than Zell. Lumina was already pretty in her previous form, but now, he was speechless. Serah and her looked more similar when she was young than when she was in this new form. It was definitely different, new, and surprising.

Serah coudnt look Lumina in the eye, not directly. Because if she did she knew she would break down and beg her to stay with her. Serah would always feel like she needed her big sister. She could never understand why they thought she didnt. Why did they think that? They were the only family she had left. Both parts of her sister... Their wearnt two Lightings in the world. That's what her sister didnt seem to understand.
"Theirs not two Lightings.... theirs you... and her... my sisters"
She was selective with her words, if she said the wrong thing she knew she would tumble into saying things she shoudnt say. In her heart she wanted what would make Lumina happy. After all she had done, all she had been through for her she deserved all the happiness in the world.
A smile broke her stupor when Lumkna said she just woudnt up and leave her. She should have expected as much of course, but it still felt nice to hear. Though... she still wasnt going to come with her. She made that much clear. It still brought sadness to her heart but... she would just have to cherish the time they still had. It was as simple as that right?
No but she could act like it was
"Sureeeee your not~ He's just bringing you to his world..."
She sighed, she coudnt finish her little tease. She should have been over the moon for Lumina. But she coudnt help the part of her heart that felt like she was being left behind again.
'Its ok you dont need me anymore' that was the thinking right?
They coudnt be more wrong.
But she deserved her happiness, she coudnt let her selfishness hold her back. So she out up a smile and forced a grin. She focused on Lumina changing her form, something that genially did make her smile. She looked beutiful like that. It reminded her so much of mom. Of course Lighting was as well but because of how much sterner she tended to be it wasnt as clear a much as it was with Lumina. Serah was in awe of that fact.
"You look so much like mom..."
She giggled at Zell's reaction. Focusing on this let her not focus on that she gave a twirl and walked past the man playfully.
"Stunned? Lost for words? Are you surrrrre you dont like her?"
She was able to finish this time, she was getting back into her zone now, and turning on her heel decided to roll with her momentum.
"Food! With all this important talk here I complelty forgot to ask! Theirs a few good places here..."

"Liberation of Fate"
"Whether it's Gods or Fate, I'll rebel against them all. We should determine our fate with our own hands..."
Serah's careful words were right, a piece of wisdom that was difficult for her to admit. As it forced her to confront the essence of her existence. Well, more so, the separation from her previous self. Lightning made the first move by locking her heart away but Bhunivelze made it official. Particles of dust brushed by the palm of a God. On the other hand, Serah may not have been thinking about it nearly as deeply. If Lumina had to put her finger on something, her sister probably always knew of the split and the trouble it caused even before divine intervention. That's why they could talk so easily in crystal stasis and now, being face to face.
This also meant that Serah wasn't going to let her go now that they were so close. That reality made her overwhelmingly happy, even if a part of her felt that she should correct the separation. That part of her, was the one that had faith in Lightning, who fiercely admired her, faults and all. Perhaps for that, all she needed was time and a new direction. Without realizing it, she'd been given both! All she had to do, was look over to Zell.
From Zell's earlier remarks, until his final remarks, something changed. Lumina wasn't entirely sure what but if she had to guess, Zell was suffering from Serah's in-your-face truth. Her sister called things like she saw it, something she'd probably picked up from Snow. No, definitely picked up from Snow. The result was feeling like she'd hit her embarrassment quota for the dayyear. So much so that although she was smiling, she was faintly blushing as well.
"Oh Serah~" she replied finally, flustered but happy all the same. Food was as good of a get out of introducing your family to your boyfriend card as any, in her books. "There are some good places here. It just depends on if you want a snack or a proper meal." she chimed in, trying to get back to her normal. Of course, she had a feeling that it'd take her awhile, so she might as well let herself go with the flow. So, she carefully approached Zell and leaned in to whisper something to him,"Serah's not going to let this go, you know~"
Ever mindful of how close she was, she kept an eye on Serah as if trying to be on her best behaviour now. "Thank you. I can't wait to meet all your friends." she continued, after that she just giggled and leaned away. "This feels a bit like deja vu. Only it's not my birthday and instead of Snow, we have Zell. I'll be on my best behaviour this time, so please don't tease Zell too much. What if he faints? Then I'd have to nurse him back to health." something Lumina already had experience in.

"What?!?!
Zell, once again being teased, let out a light flail from his frustrations. But it was all harmless fun, like usual. He'd have to wait and bide his time. Vengeance will be had, and one day he will be the one that teases!
"I hit my head!' he yelled in his defence to the last time Lumina found him passed out. But he submitted to the teasing and let out a huff before continuing. "I can go for some food, though. Provo doesn't have hot dogs, but I'm sure they've got other good stuff."
The talk about Serah would have to wait until she wasn't around. There wasn't any issue that Zell had with her. In fact, Quistis was the closest thing to a sister that he had, and she was fairly protective, too.
"Where should we go?" Zell turned to Lumina, who was already at his side. "You're more familiar with Provo than me."

It was fun to see them both so flustered from her advances. It helped her focus on this far more positive and fun thing. Ah yes she had clearly learned well, even being able to outdue Lumina now~ She would not be letting her live that one down. Besides if they did end up together well.... they would have her support, they looked so good together! Jokes aside she would like Lumina to have someone 'like Snow' she deserved her own hero, someone to keep her safe and happy. To put her before anyone else. She wanted for Lumina the kind of happiness she had been able to get for herself.
So if her teasing just so happened to push that along all the better! But for now well... they had to think of where they were going to eat. Having lived on the coast for a while with Snow and the other former members of Nora She had gained a taste for sea food caught from the water. Though it wasnt like she didnt still eat the game the group gathered on patrols, and it was pretty much a must during her and Noel's journey, Gosh she was so lucky Noel had experience as a hunter. She may have been a great cook but her experience with preparing fresh animals was and for the most part still was pretty much ziltch. She stuck to this thinking pattern for a while, noting Lumina's 'sneaky' words to Zell. She decided to give them a break now, ut noting it as a potential move some other time. So instead she made like she hadnt seen a thing, hands playfully clasped behind her back she walked around in a circle with her thoughts. Before stopping at Zell's suggestion. She agreed their were... to many options for her to choose one!
"I agree with Zell, you should bring us to your favorite place sis!"
......
She paused a moment, deciding to be more specific.
"Your homecooking doesnt count!"
She very much wished for Zell to remain active for the foreseeable future!
[Exit assuming Zell or Lumina end it with there's, she will be following them off to wherever they decide to eat]

"Liberation of Fate"
"Whether it's Gods or Fate, I'll rebel against them all. We should determine our fate with our own hands..."
Lumina couldn't help but let out a "Hey!" in response to her homecooking not counting. She knew Serah was better at cooking. Better at quite a few domestic things in comparison to her tomboyish legacy. She pouted for a brief moment before shaking her head. "It's not my home cooking that we'll be enjoying~" she began, slowly gaining some confidence back. Thanks to Serah being merciful and sparing her and Zell.
"This place is a barbecue style joint, with a fun theme. They primarily serve up dishes from local ingredients, with a few special items from Torensten. Plenty to eat, plenty to drink so I hope you both have your appetite's ready." she stated wagging her right pointer finger. Gesturing for them to follow, she'd continue to 'sell' them on this place. "The food is made fresh every day, with generous portion sizes. It might not be those hot dogs with the works but the meat dishes are really good." what Lumina left out was the presentation of the establishment. It looked like a cabin house on a ranch, nicely decorated on the inside with tables that had their own grills.
"When we're finished, we'll be going back to my house~" she declared for yes, in the time that Zell had left her, Lumina managed to acquire her own home here in Provo. She was practically beaming after saying as much, retrieving a set of keys on a key ring to spin on her right index finger. "There's three extra rooms so you can both pick out your own room."
