Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.
The current skin was made by Pharaoh Leap of Pixel Perfect. Outside of that, individual posts and characters belong to their creators, and we claim no ownership to what which is not ours. Thank you for stopping by.
The soft rain pattered gently through the canopy of the trees. Yet, there was something more ethereal about it. The rain seemed to glint and shine in the sunlight, as if it rained without the dismal gray clouds. The forest did not darken at all. It was filled with a beautiful light as if the forest rejoiced in the gifts of the rain. The flora showed off a brilliant verdant color in response to the gift, as well as every imaginable color of the rainbow. All the animals were currently smart enough to seek shelter from the rain. Except for Quistis, apparently.
The blonde woman, however, was becoming soaked to the bone. A soft sigh left her lips as if she were disappointed in her situation. A hand raised to push back some of the wet hair that stuck to her cheek. This strange weather phenomenon had completely duped her. The best she could do would be to find some damp patch of ground and wait out the rest. She pushed through the brush and branches to try to look for anything to act as a shelter. It felt like that has been all she has been doing since she got to this world. The events ran in order of: running from zombies, seeking shelter out of the woods, finding the Crystalus Divider, and then once again, looking for shelter. Though these experiences were wonderful, they offered little in ways of warmth.
One more branch shoved aside and she was left breathless. An impossibly blue lake filled her visage. A little island seemed to float in the middle with a healthy willow tree in the middle. The canopy here also seemed dense enough to hold back most the rain. Quistis took her chance and found the largest tree she could. She sat at its trunk and looked out at the lake. It was peaceful. Perhaps, she could take this time to reflect.

As it would quickly turn out, Quistis wasn't the only blonde girl caught in the sudden downpour, as Joanna also found herself scrambling for shelter from the rain and completely drenched for her troubles. She had been picking mushrooms and berries in the woods as a request from someone who was unable to do so. Not exactly the most exciting of quests, but she liked to help others out where can can, and it wasn't like she had anything else planned. In spite of her reassuring them that they didn't need to pay her for something so simple, they still insisted on it. And, at the end of the day, she couldn't complain about a few extra coins.
That said, she hadn't expected such a sudden rain to break out, and was rather ill-prepared for it. Usually, she had a water-repellent cloak prepared for such weather, but it was rather heavy, so she only took it with her if it looked like it was going to rain; and even that's assuming she doesn't just say inside. Either way, she hadn't expected any rain today, and she was already regretting the fact that she's always wearing a mostly white robe. They weren't completely see-through, so her modesty wasn't in too much danger but still translucent that a hint of her skin's tone could be seen in the white parts, even with how pale she tends to be.
While the fabric was magically treated to protect it from watery damage that silk is prone to, it didn't make the whole "white fabric getting wet" issue any less annoying or embarrassing to deal with. Good thing there wasn't anyone around to see her like this, right? At least, that's the thought that crossed her mind, just in time to be proven very wrong when she realized she wasn't the only one hiding under a large tree. Letting out a startled yelp, she quickly jumps back, only to let out a heavy sigh after getting a good look at Quistis. She was...rather beautiful, prompting a brief blush on the girl's cheeks before she tried push aside such thoughts and speak.
"S-sorry! I-I wasn't expecting anyone else to be here, so I was caught a bit off guard..."
[attr=class, text] The rain was so beautiful in the forest. The droplets glimmered in the glow of the forest and the filtered light of the sun. It’s soft pattering was gentle and rhythmic. It had a calming effect on the mind. [break][break] Quistis tried to ring out her skirt. The tree was large enough for her to at least stretch out her legs without getting more soaked. She supposed she could cast a fire. Perhaps it would help keep her warm. But finding something dry to burn would prove difficult in this rain. She wondered if she had some old Weapon’s Monthly magazines stored away. She usually used them to assist in creating new whips, but there were some of the first issues that had less inventive designs. [break][break] However, just as she was rifling through one of her belt pouches, she heard a small feminine cry. Her eyes widened in surprise, almost as if an exclamation point rose over her head. She sharply turned her head in the direction of the distressed sound. It seemed that the white mage half hid herself behind a portion of the tree. Quistis had caught her by surprise. “Oh! I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” Quistis put on a relieved and friendly smile. She pushed the blond hair that stuck to her cheek behind her ear. [break][break] “I’m going to get a fire going, if you wish to join me. There’s more than enough room.” Quistis found two old copies of the Weapons Monthly before closing her pouch. She was trying her best to not stare at the pretty, young lady. The girl was already uncomfortable, and wearing white in this rain certainly did not help. “My name is Quistis.” She offered, tearing out pages and wadding them into balls. Then stopped before she got lost in the process, and offered her the other magazine in case she wanted to help her build this fire’s makeshift fuel. “Are you from around here? I’m sort of lost, you see.”
