The Dragonglaive Cloud Strife Word Count: OOC: Dialogue Color: 196fd1 |
Caius would have liked to be able to say he was an expert in the area, for that would be very beneficial to his objective here. Trying to get the Dragonblades some kind of foothold within the rigid, strict regime that was Sonora was going to be difficult as it was. But he had no idea about anything here, and no real connections in the area either. He essentially had to start over from scratch here. Which didn't really benefit his goals, or Cloud's. He hoped he would be able to figure this out sooner or later, though.
Caius rubbed his face, letting out a low groan as if he could clean off just how tired he was, and how tired he probably looked in return. His hearing was going to take some time to recover fully. This headache? Probably even longer. He didn't even feel hungry, and honestly? He felt like anything he could manage to scarf down would just come right back up soon after. So grabbing a bite to eat wasn't going to be happening tonight. His best bet would be to try and see if he could stomach a few drinks to calm down his nerves and let himself wind down. Then he would sleep. Book himself into a place to sleep if he could find one and just collapse. That was the best thing to do, he told himself. He had wanted to hit the ground running on this trip to Sonora, but... Honestly, he knew his body needed rest if he was going to get anywhere at this point. It sucked, it really did. But that was just how the cookie crumbles.
"Tifa and Barrett..." he mused aloud when Cloud gave names, as well as descriptions. Tifa got a far more descriptive one, though "Man with a gun with an arm" would be easy enough to identify, probably. Though the tone of his voice when he talked about Tifa in particular was... Well, it was something to say the least. Was this what Yuna had been talking about, regarding how he sounded when he talked about Celes? This Tifa must be special to him then, he thought. He'd definitely need to look out for someone like that if he could. Least he could do for the help Cloud had given against that thing. With another sip, he spoke up again.
"Should be easy enough to spot a gun-arm man in a crowd. I'll toss him your way if I see him or the girl" he promised. Hopefully Cloud would find them first, but he'd help best he could. Cloud then brought up Vordun, and he smirked lightly.
"Hatched him myself" he revealed. "Raised him on my own. He's been on the road with me for so long, I can hardly remember a time that he wasn't. Name's Vordun" he elaborated in turn. "I'll introduce you, next we're not in town. This was an emergency case."
