Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Click the image for a super easy new skin guide for a visual tour!
Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.
The current skin was made by Pharaoh Leap of Pixel Perfect. Outside of that, individual posts and characters belong to their creators, and we claim no ownership to what which is not ours. Thank you for stopping by.
Balthier raised an eyebrow. ’A sight for this sore eye?’ He sipped his whiskey glass as he glanced to the garish streamers. His lips pricked with a smirk. ”Sailing the sea, you say? I’ve never been one for inhibitions.” His eyes drifted to the bar tables and their patrons. Already, nearly a dozen prospective partners were gathered there, glancing over their papers and waiting for their choice.
He’d taken to worse evenings, he supposed.
”Let’s spin the wheel of chance, shall we?” Balthier picked up one of the pens piled loosely at his side. He read the paper, paused, and then scrawled his own loose script.

Honestly, she had no idea what she's doing in this collection of various figures. She was following a tip on the whereabouts of Ace, but instead found herself swept up in something else entirely.
And for some reason, the men were being much rowdier than usual. It unnerved her to some degree. She knew that Machina, wherever he was, didn't act like that. As the crowd thinned out somewhat, she tried to inquire if anyone had seen a young man wearing an outfit similar to hers, to no avail.
Yikes, what was going on?
She wondered if she could be able to find someone, anyone who could help her. Oh, she hated being alone! A piece of paper along with a pen was shoved her way and she blinked at it in confusion. A questionnaire?
Shrugging, she proceeded to fill it out, having no idea what she was getting herself into.

[attr="class","dorado2"]It isn't her first time in a bar, nor does she expect it to be her last. But as the bartender fills her order -- orange juice with a splash of cherry syrup because it makes it look prettier -- she finds herself in a state of total awe. It's hypnotic, electrifying, dazzling, and a bit too alluring for her tastes. The sound of his voice, how slippery smooth it is. Then it dawns on her; it's nearly that day Thancred kept speaking of. Saint Valentione's! Ah, was it the same in this place? Or different? Not as different as her world, she supposes, with the strange customs that come with it.
Well. When a fish out of water, better to be willing to go along with it than fight against a currant.
"Blue? White? I am... not sure the meaning behind colors," she murmurs in an apology, then sits straighter. It appears the young girl is taking things a bit seriously. "An early bird, most certainly. When the sun is up, so am I." She decidedly leaves out that sleep is something that struggles to come naturally to her. Some of Urianger's tea does wonder to stave off the nightmares that linger behind weary eyes.
"A pick up line?" A carefully trimmed nail taps against her cheek. "Ah, this is one I heard from Th- from... a friend! it seems I have misplaced my linkpearl. Is there any chance I can get the information of yours?" Blue eyes twinkle with delight. Until the next few questions follow. "I, um... that is... I... erm... o-oh, I should get going now, y-yes! Thank you for the drink!"
Does gil work here? She hopes so because it is all she has on her person!

One Brings Shadow, One Brings Light
to this riddle, all souls are tied
Oh hell, he wished he'd had that waistcoat made for this. Really, Valentine's Day, he should have put that one together pretty quickly. Valentine, Valentione, yeah, it made sense all right. It'd always been a really nice waist coat, and he was rather partial to the pocket watch. Well, maybe next--Wait, why did he want to be here for another year? He really needed to figure out a way to get back home, considering what was waiting for him.
But, well, a drink would be nice. For himself, specifically, and when he ordered a drink, he reached over the moment the bottle appeared. After a slight bit of tug-of-war, he managed to pry it from the bartender, as Alex shot him a narrow glare. No no, he was pouring his own drink, he'd learned that lesson. But it came with a form, at least. What was this, a blind date? He tilted his head at it. Well, why not; it was always nice meeting new people and it wasn't like it was gonna go anywhere. It took him a bit, thinking in some places, but, well, he made it work, scrawling something and handing it back.
Your Name: Alexander Partner's Preferred Gender: Female Likes: Adventuring, Chocobos, Quiet Dislikes: Being poured drinks, Fetch quests, Landslides
[attr="class","dorado2"]"Those are rather intriguing inquiries you pose upon a stranger. Mayhaps you are searching for someone yourself underneath all of that silky charimsa." It's too early in the day to be drinking, but drinking she is while conversing with a fellow far more cheeky than she imagined. The eternity ring, being hidden on her persona for safekeeping while traveling across a world she is not wholly familiar with, may spare her from such an event, yet there is a notion of curiosity the brews within her. What better way to gather information about her location, and pass some time with idle chatter, than put herself out there? Who knows, there might be a glimmer of gold to find in the desolate shores and deep forests, and monster-filled alleyways.
The fae at her side settles down on her shoulder, finding interest in the drink that is openly offered, and minds her business as her scholar ponders over the idea of it all. Well, there is no harm in it, is there? She is not cheating, no, and a blind date can be spun so it becomes a chance encounter to meet a new friend. It does not bode entirely well with her; but she finds herself drawn to it all the same. Because, if nothing else, taking the time to dress up and meet someone in a place she is lost in sparks a bit of excitement within her chest.
If, once she returns home to the Source, Alex feels the need to lecture her on the matter, she'll allow him. Right after she finishes her own lecture about him getting spirited away first.
"Alright, I bite. You dangle the bait with the expertise of a sea-dwelling fisherman. Spin the bottle and weave me a tale, and point me in the direction of my fated union, good sir."

What a waste of time. Mateus steeled himself and growled under his breath as he matched the name of the bar with the slip of paper in his hands. Sirens. A roll of his eyes and a final check in the window that his appearance was better than the current clientele, Mateus entered the bar. What he was greeted with was a garish, ostentatious, display of commonality. He almost walked back out, but stayed planted pinching the bridge of his nose. It was an assignment that he would be paid handsomely for. He was to use this low brow engagement to scout potential members or contributors for the Children.
Perhaps, he thought in the back of his mind not giving the thought more than a passing think, just maybe, he could at least wash something else away. He shook his head as he walked to the bar. Things were complicated to say the least, and tonight was not the time to think of it. "A bottle dry and red," he ordered with the flick of his wrist at he looked at the childish form to fill.

Typically Angeal considered himself above going to a bar when he wasn’t feeling his best. After all, alcohol was a depressant -- why give the beast any more fuel than it needed? But, he was lost, confused, tired and thirsty. Even he needed a shot of something strong at the end of a long day sometimes. Just enough to relax.
But good god, this was not the kind of thing he was expecting to walk into.
The bartender had caught his eye as he’d barely made it over the threshold. Angeal stared him down warily, his pace slowing the closer he edged to the bar. Surely he was misreading things, but the bartender seemed rather … forward, in his gaze. He almost had that look in his eye that Angeal typically saw in women fawning over Sephiroth or Genesis.
“Er…,” the Soldier realized there was something shoved into his hand upon walking into the establishment, which he was now realizing was much more gussied up than he would have assumed, based on how it looked outside. He glanced down at the crumpled, heart-shaped piece of paper in his gloved hand, then back at the bartender as he began to speak, soft and smooth.
What… ? What have I walked into here?
“I just … came in for a whiskey,” Angeal finally admitted, clearing his throat, caught off guard by the soft tones of the piano and the streamers, “That’s all. A drink. None of this…”.
And yet, after a sip of his drink, he somehow found himself with a pen in hand, his stare boring holes into the paper he’d been handed. What was he doing? He’d never had time for dates before -- he certainly didn’t now! But, no one here knew who or what he was, right? Maybe, then it would be alright … Just for a night. To have someone to talk to. Angeal wasn’t sure if he even had a preference for either gender or romance in general, but, surely nothing would go horribly awry.
He wanted to kick himself.
Your Name: Angeal Hewley Partner's Preferred Gender: Any. Likes: Dogs, cooking, photography, stories … exercise? Dislikes: Egos? Egos. Someone too quiet. Whining. Anyone without honor. Scientists.
