“A scourge on the seas? Wreaking Havoc over the high seas? You know I like the sound of that. To be honest it sounds great to just be out there.in the world just doing as we please. Not beheld to any one person, city, or country… I love the idea of it.” Eillien could not help herself but to speak it toward Faris. Knowing that this would be one hell of an adventure. One that those that she knew back home would love to hear upon her return should she ever return there. She knew that no one would hold her becoming a pirate against her as there were some that had done such a thing already in their ranks. Though she could not help but raise an eyebrow at Faris admitting that she had almost once ransomed off their own sister. This was something that was unexpected to say the least. “You inadvertently kidnapped your own sibling? She dropped out of the sky onto you? That is crazy and I never expected to hear from you.” There was several things that she could not help but laugh to herself as she finished off another of her drinks. Inside her mind there was several things that she was thinking about when something came around that she had not expected. Faris was actually a woman and had inadvertently let it slip. This was something that she had not expected to say the least. “Wait you are a woman? I always thought you were a man? To be honest I… I’m not all that disappointed. You are still my friend and to be honest if you are it makes things a little better for my own psyche.” She spoke as it was obvious that there were a few things that were going through her mind in the moment. So many things that ran through her mind as she had always been attracted toward women in her life and Faris had been a man in her mind had confused her. Knowing now that Faris was a woman made her smile widely. (( Faris Scherwiz ))

[attr="class","oneword1"] You've got a lot of brass, or mayhap you're just lacking in brains! ”Wait, you are a woman?”
Faris froze. Oh. It wasn’t a problem. Of course it wasn’t -- not to him anyway -- but he still hated those words dropped on him like a storm at sea. Was it the liquor that had loosened his tongue? Some deep part of himself that had thought for sure that Eillien had known. Maybe he’d wanted her to know? Either way, he sipped at his drink just to have something to do with his hands.
”You are still my friend and to be honest, if you are it makes things a little better for my own psyche.”
Faris felt a fierce heat fill his cheeks. ‘You’re still my friend.’ Still. Why say it? Put it in a spotlight? It was always the same way. ’Let’s get those wet clothes off you. Wait, that’s not right. But why?’
’Well would you want to be the only girl on a ship full of pirates?’
”Aye,” he said simply. His glass was empty but for a few melting slivers of ice. He dropped it on the table and angled his head, arms crossed. ”Don’t go making a ruckus over it. I don’t much care what you call me.”
He shrugged and sat up. How long had they been talking? His eyes drifted towards the window, and the dimming light beyond it. What was Bartz doing at this hour? Something dangerous, he expected. Too much time alone, and he’d find trouble just as often as trouble would find him.
”I should be finding my way back,” Faris said. ”Bartz will be needing me, the dolt. He’s about as easy to wrangle as a gust of air.” He pushed a palm through his hair, shaking it out behind him. The liquor made his hand heavy and his head too for that matter. ”It’s been good to see you. I’ve needed a friend.” He glanced to Eillien and smiled. A real, genuine smile. That was the truth.
”We’ll see each other again? I’ll be needing that right hand at the wheel.”

All of the shock of Faris actually being a woman had subsided. Though for Eillien it actually made her a little more relieved then before. As she had always prefered the company of woman over men and Faris had always been an enigma to her. She could easily see Faris' cheeks heat up in a blush, but if it was from her previous words or the alcohol she did not know. With the quickly appeared question Eillien could not help but nod at Faris. "I will not ever make a damn thing about it. As we got to have one anothers back. Especially us that need to stick together on those upcoming adventrues." She was about to ask if Faris would want another glass but the other woman stood up and looked over toward the window. Noticing the dimming light outside as well she could not help but slap her own forehead as she did not realize just how long they had been there. Hearing him speak up and mention that his friends would be needing him. That and hearing that it was appreciated that she actually reappeared and was there for Faris. Then came the words about how FAris would be needing her right hand on the seas someday and she could not help but smile at the words. Giving her a nod and a small thumbs up as she recognized the offer. "It is the least friends can do for one another after all. Want an arm to walk back with ya? Would not mind meeting this Bartz. Especially if he is as big a softie as you said he is I would love to meet em." She had slowly started to stand and move a little over toward Faris awaiting his response to her question. IF he said no that he was good she would try and find herself somewhere to call home til she slept off the upcoming hangover and miserable self. (( Faris Scherwiz ))

[attr="class","oneword1"] You've got a lot of brass, or mayhap you're just lacking in brains! Eillien offered a hand back. A true friend if Faris had ever seen one. Still, the thought of it didn’t quite sit with him. Coming along. Meeting Bartz. Faris didn’t think he was ready for that step yet. His head was still too heavy. His heart wasn’t quite sorted out. The walk would do him good, and then…
Well, he didn’t know what he’d do about Bartz, but it was an unknown something he’d have to manage alone.
”That’d be something,” Faris said. He stood, swaggering to the side without quite losing his balance. He was drunk alright, but not badly so. He’d make it back fine. If there was anything he knew, it was how he handled his liquor.
”But I think I’ll need the quiet. Ale’s got a nasty bite when you’re troubled. You’ll meet him another time, and when you least expect it too. He’s always finding a new wind to follow.” Faris shook his head. Why was he turning away company when his heart was aching? He didn’t knew, but he knew it was right. He trusted his gut when it came to a storm. A sailor’s instincts were rarely wrong.
”If I find a ship for the taking, you’ll be the first to know. I think we could raid it together. I’d like someone at my back.” He laughed. It was a funny thing to imagine. A ship in this place. Sailing unknown waters where Tycoon was but a thought to drift on the wind.
What would he find beyond those seas, he wondered. He missed the distant shores of home.
”Take care, Eillien. We’ll find our way. There’s not a storm that could sink us.” He gave her a grin before he shook out his hair with a sweep of his hand. ”Another time then.”
He turned and left with a heavy heart, but a lighter one than he’d come with. He had his troubles. He had a load of them all weighing hard on his shoulders, but there was still something to hold him up no matter what came upon him.
A friend.
