Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.
The current skin was made by Pharaoh Leap of Pixel Perfect. Outside of that, individual posts and characters belong to their creators, and we claim no ownership to what which is not ours. Thank you for stopping by.

It wouldn't take much more, now. Zidane watched his partner act, and knew what he needed to do, flipping backwards and landing on his feet, looking up at the beast as he placed his hand on his chest. He closed his eyes for a second, but only just, the feeling of him falling through the sky, away from his home, his Garnet, flooding through him.
It was just enough.
He looked up at the beast as his body exploded with power, cutting loose with Trance, his clothes replaced by gleaming violet/pink fur, his eyes a vibrant crimson. He fell into stance, exhaling as the monster looked towards him, shaking off it's wounds.
"Get back, Caius!" he said sharply, leaning before pushing off with his feet, falling into a dead sprint towards the monster, leaping up to deliver the tip of one of his daggers into the Behemoth's eye. The beast flung him away, roaring in agony over the injury, but it was enough for Zidane to focus. Landing nearby, he tossed his daggers skyward, opening his arms and letting the energy erupt from him, casting his Free Energy attack directly at the Behemoth's face, multiple explosions rocking the plains and, ultimately, finishing off the beast. He caught the daggers, letting out a breath as his Trance wore off, his appearance returning to normal before looking over at Caius.
"We couldn't have finished it off normally, though… that teleporting thing you do is pretty cool! Where'd you learn that?" he said, sheathing his daggers, acting as though they didn't just fell a beast several times their size. His tail flicked back and forth in excitement, partially hopeful that the guy could teach him the warping, but also partially hoping that his Trance form didn't freak his new friend out.
Caius would land and turn his heel, brandishing his blade as he would prepare to go right for the jugular when it came to this big bad 'ol beastie. But Zidane would bring the thunder, as the man monkey would bring out a spectacular light show that ended in him turning into a Super Saiyan 4 a... Was he still a man? Still a monkey man? Because now he had no clothes. And he was pink. And had a lot more fur. But he would instruct Caius to get back, and Caius was in no mood to tell the Little Monkey Man from the 8th Dimension no right now. Heeding his instructions, he would watch as he would hit the beast's face with a blast that finished it off. His appearance returned to normal and his clothes came back too. Which was a relief, really. The form would be kind of inconvenient he noted if it cost one their clothes every single time. Either way, the beast was defeated. Too bad this wasn't a job, he could have earned a pretty penny today.
Though parts from this thing might fetch some decent gil too... Hmmm...
Zidane would approach him, asking him where he learned how to Warp-Strike. "I could ask you the same thing. Where did you learn how to turn purple?" Caius would ask, perhaps a little too calm considering what he'd just seen. But then again, that was Caius. Not a whole lot rattled him anymore. Realizing perhaps he should at least answer the man's question in order to be polite before asking his own, he would elaborate from there.
"On my world, I was a member of the venerable Kingsglaive" Caius would explain as his blade would disappear into thin air as if on cue. There was no reason to keep it secret if one asked - it's not like that knowledge meant anything anymore. Or so he thought, anyway. "We serve, protect and carry out the will of the King of Lucis. In return, he lends us part of his power. The Power of Kings, they call it. Much of what you saw back there was from what I've learned and developed on as a Glaive."
Caius had to wonder if there was a way to ascend to another form of being, as this one had... For a regular human being like him. This boy had attained it, it seemed... But then again, that tail indicated he wasn't exactly human either.

Zidane listened to the guy's explanation for his power, and gave a nod. Warping? A King's power? Neat.
"Where I come from, a surge of emotion and strength allows us to ascend for a power boost. It's called Trance." It was a much simpler explanation, sure, but it got the job done. Zidane was talkative, but he liked talking more about… practical things. Like, food, or women.
"I used to be part of a Theatre Troupe that was also a band of thieves. We worked for a Regent in my home Kingdom of Lindblum." he said proudly, giving a cheeky smile before patting himself on the chest. "Sounds to me like you might have some pretty epic war stories, though. How about we go to that city, pray they have a Tavern, and if they do… talk over a drink or two until I figure out just where I am?"
Honestly, the last thing on Zidane's mind was drinking, or talking to anyone, but the last time this happened, it was as if it were a dream. He woke up in bed, the Crystal he earned nowhere to be found, yet, the soreness from all the fighting was still there. He remembered Baku asking him if he had a run in with the tough tart that wandered between the bars downtown, to which Zidane would respond with a less than kind gesture with his hand.
Right now, though, he wanted to find a way back home to Alexandria.
Home to Garnet.
Since there wasn't no dreamlike Goddess talking to him or whispering in his ear, he figured that maybe some other kind of foul play was at hand, and now, he was going to have to play detective again to figure out just what the hell brought him here.
He almost groaned at the idea.
He realized that the other guy was probably talking, and snapped back to the present, hoping he didn't look too distracted at the moment. Whatever the other guy decided, Zidane's target destination was the city… and next, home.
"Trance" Caius repeated, his interest piqued. Was there a way that he could harness that power? Caius was not the kind of man that sought power for the sake of it, of course. But anything that might help him help people here... Well, it was worth looking into. Perhaps there were some books on this Trance power? If not, though, it was likely it was exclusive to Zidane, or something associated with him - just as the Power of Kings was for Caius and company.
Zidane admitting full on that he was - or had been - a thief, caused Caius to quirk a brow. That was a brazen thing to admit aloud. Where Caius had come from, the thieves - looters, more like - had been violent, selfish and willing to do anything to grab what they could. They were cruel, and hurt people without a second thought. But... Zidane didn't seem like one of them. Caius had to remember he was from another world. Perhaps their definition of thieves was different? He would have to keep an open mind, he realized. That was something Caius was going to have to get used to in this world.
Zidane suggested they head to the city in order to have some drinks and share some stories. And finally, the smallest of smiles came to the mercenary's face. He did enjoy stories.
"I don't see why not. I've been here for some time now, so I should be able to give you some sort of idea of where you are once we're situated" He would offer as he would begin walking. Motioning for Zidane to follow suit, Caius couldn't help but remain guarded. People coming from other worlds wasn't a rare thing here, but he couldn't help wondering if he was being lulled into a false sense of security.
It wouldn't take them long to reach town though, and Caius knew of a good spot they could have a few drinks. It wouldn't be long before they would arrive in town, and Caius would look toward Zidane, not being able to help a sense of curiosity toward someone new to this world's reaction to the city of Torensten.
