AMIDATELION
Amidatelion is not the tough nut to crack that they think they are. Despite prior difficulties with maintaining relationships, they deeply desire companionship of all kinds, in an effort to branch out and learn more about the world.
TRACK 1. KUN MUN KULTANI TULISI Their lips taste of honey, hands are as precious as gold and neck like a heather stem.
[N/A]
One of the things Amidatelion desires most in life is to have a partner who can keep up with them, isn't afraid to be weird around them, and is passionate about the same things they are. They've been in a handful of failed relationships before, and they'd like to make things happen differently, this time, and treasure whomever comes into their life in this capacity.
True friendship is something that they're sorely lacking, and while Amidatelion is used to being on the outside of things, generally, it would be nice to have some people to call on and come to talk with for a while, or bring those very interesting foods that they so crave the smell of.
One thing Amidatelion is fairly skilled at is making enemies. Whether this be people who simply disagree with their methods, or people actively attempting to cause them harm, few make it out of this category -- but fewer still relish being in their line of sight.
OOC NOTES
I love plotting things ahead of time, so if you know you want to belong to a particular category before we interact, let me know and we can arrange that! Otherwise, I'm happy to see where things land.

HEALING PROPERTIES (OPEN) wc: 441
It had been some time since Amidatelion had seen the wakefulness of day.
There is no blinking awake -- there is only looking into the distance and seeing miles and miles of untamed forest, as far as their gaze can possibly take them. Whether the sound of birds is a hallucination or not, they can't be certain -- there's something eerie about this forest, not like the one from the world below. This is something else entirely.
Odder still is the capacity to even think about such things.
Their mind is in a game of catch-up with itself, trying to get its bearings on the situation. Firstly comes a mote of pain from deep within their chassis, the unpleasant reminder of a death well died and a life perhaps not so well-lived, though it's hard to be certain as said pain makes its way up from where it begins in their hand and into their helmet. It clangs in their head like fire, and they can't help but let out a groaning noise at the inconvenience. Now, the rest of their tactile senses come through; below that sharp ringing in their head comes the tingling sensation of having fingers, feet, legs...
They collapse to the ground nearly immediately, overwhelmed by the feeling of feeling.
Amidatelion's breath comes in ragged, soft exhales. That alone is an entirely new experience, as the Yuke had never needed air like this before -- or at all, but all they can do in this moment is deal with the pins and needles pins and needles for the love of the Principle if someone could help right now that'd be grand! But, at first glance, no one is around, and the forest is silent with the threat of hallucination still.
Where... are they, anyhow? At first glance it nearly resembles the Forgotten Forest, where one of their portal entries may have still remained. They... they think so, anyway. Their memories are fuzzy, and any time they try to truly focus on something outside of the massive pain in their chassis, they are greeted with the reminder that it is still there, and will remain.
A bird sings, and they're not sure if it's in their head.
Their ribs heave with effort, the glowing blue of the crystal slicking the back of it reflecting off of the dappled sunlight into myriad reflections on the undergrowth. Wherever this is, they have to get out of here, and fast. But, the pain. But, they have to leave.
There is no clear path to follow, so they simply start trudging in a direction, muttering to themself about the strangeness and newness of it all.

Amidatelion
"I will show you the Crystal's will, and its power."
I. BASICS
FULL NAME:: Amidatelion NICKNAMES:: "Goldenrod" (by Layle) GENDER:: Nonbinary, presents as both male and female depending on the circumstance AGE:: Unknown (the Yuke equivalent of being in their mid-twenties) ORIENTATION:: Bi/pan GAME OF ORIGIN:: Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers ALIGNMENT:: Neutral EQUIPMENT:: No equipment other than the clothes on their back -- their summoning comes from their innate crystal bearer powers. Canonically, they are able to summon Bahamut and a series of much lesser enemies such as zu.

Their female body differs in head and wing shape only, having a helmet shaped less like a beak and more like a snout, and with feathered white wings instead of crystalline bat wings.
II. PERSONA
Amidatelion is a bit odd, even for a Yuke.
When asked about them, the words that might come to mind to describe them are usually unflattering, or dangerous. "Reckless," some might say. "A zealot," another would correctly label them. To the outsider, Amidatelion appears to jump from person to person in search of... love? Attention? Something. No matter their motives, it seems as if they cast off relationships with the same ease that they cast away their assigned body, becoming whatever they feel like becoming within the confines of a Yuke existence. All in all, their state of being reminds many Yuke elders of the stories that used to be told of the other tribes and their children, or perhaps, how Yuke children used to be, when childhood had been an option.
As for how Amidatelion would describe themself -- they would say that they are driven by the singular purpose now of bringing the will of the Crystal Principle to the world down below, away from the void between existence and oblivion. Perhaps once upon a time they'd had other goals, but this is the only one that matters now. Though that is the primary issue they're concerned with (and the one that they wish to be remembered by), they would say that they see the world with a sense of wonder, entranced by all the beauty that there is to behold. They have a sharp wit and a fast response time, and when they see something that they want, one would do well to get out of their way.
What they and others are both blind to is that, beneath all the preaching of the Principle and the single-minded goal-accomplishing, is a fierce love of heritage and the bonding of different tribesmen to each other. There is much love in general, there, if someone wished to find it -- laying in tandem with their hatred for what happened to the Yuke tribe, and the Lilty tribe responsible for it.
III. HISTORY
Amidatelion had not been born a crystal bearer -- technically, they had never been born at all. An accident, they're known to refer to themself as, a rich laughter coming out of their chassis in the same breath. Their parents had wanted another family member, to be certain, but in the way that all Yukes born after the Great War had, Amidatelion simply came into being, their soul flying into a nearby, empty suit of armor. They had been female at the time, and so their parents had named them Amidatelion, what was considered to be a beautiful, feminine name. Though the bearer of the name would later come to reject the notion of rigid gender, their name would remain something that they're proud of.
They became the middle child of five, growing up crowded between two older brothers and two younger sisters. It was readily apparent that Amidatelion would be the rebellious child of the bunch, as they frequently resisted their parents' most important cultural policy -- "take care not to show too much emotion." It's something that they'd heard echoed throughout many Yuke families, and later became a point of study for them, though they'd always look upon it with abject disdain. In an effort not to wear their heart so close to their chest, they took off through the Yuke Sky City and caused a ruckus everywhere that they good, to stamp on the tradition. Many would wonder aloud if this was a sign that the weight of the Sky City was no longer enough to keep the Yuke tribe angry, and if this new era of being was a symbol of complacency.
Amidatelion fell in love with people and things hard and often. Despite their best efforts to do away with the incessant frills of Yuke tradition, they ended up taking special interest in preserving the exact things that they had been trying to get rid of; as it turns out, putting lots of research into a thing simply to spite it has a way of making one fall in love with the subject matter. Their behavior began to change to that of a still-impassioned yet more academically minded student, and they began to specialize in the anthologizing of Yuke writings such as poetry, essays, and folk tales. They carried on more than a few frenzied, discombobulated romantic relationships with other tribe members during their time as a student. It was shortly after a recent breakup that they heard the will of the Crystal Principle speaking to them.
The Principle clung to them like glue, all at once and impossible to scrape off. It tempered them to its goals, and suddenly nearly all else seemed irrelevant, though Amidatelion's unique temperament and specialty made them the best possible zealot for the cause. The Yukes had not borne a crystal bearer before, and their existence had only been known of through the various windows into the world below that their forebears had provided. It was a sign of a revolution to come, surely, and Amidatelion agreed -- they would lead their people out of the darkness of the void and reclaim the place lost to them during the Great War, when the Lilty tribe had destroyed their tribal crystal. For too long, the world below had only known of the three tribes of Clavat, Selkie, and Lilty. Soon, they would know of the fourth.
It had been hard to pinpoint what Amidatelion's newfound power was, exactly, other than the culturally dictated response to their charisma. It wasn't until a fateful run-in with a zu making its way to the Sky City that their nascent power truly revealed itself, and they spent many years honing their summoning power (how long the years stretched out before the Yuke peoples now, how long had they been before -- before the Great War, Yukes had been known to live for easily two hundred years, but in the void, 'twas even longer, it seemed, after their biology had changed so drastically). While honing this power, they came to realize their powers' effect of creating portals, and so spent another several years learning how to open one portal to the world below so that they could make their way down and make things right.
This required help, however, and they set about finding just the right person using the windows from the void, settling at last on a fellow crystal bearer by the name of Layle, a Clavat with telekinetic powers. After months of watching, and waiting, they successfully stole the waybill for a job from Layle's boss, a Selkie named Keiss. And so, they schemed and planned, and at last worked to make their way to the world below through a portal, through which Layle would unknowingly pull them out of...
Once in the world below, Amidatelion enacted their plan. They would steal the various Crystal Idols around the continent, which had the ability to strip power from nearby crystals (barring those located within bearers' bodies). Though Layle himself accidentally brought them here, he would get in their way constantly, and then later assist them in their escape from the Lilty Commander, Jegran. It had been the closest they'd been to a person in a long time, and their heart soared with delight somewhat when Layle simply nicknamed them on the spot. Working in tandem with the other crystal bearer, Amidatelion would build almost all that they needed to restore their crystal using the expressions from the Crystal Idols -- until meeting their untimely end quite literally at Jegran's hand, saving Layle from certain death.
This would be the only time in which they had heard him utter the name which they were so proud of.
IV. AUTHOR
PLAYER ALIAS:: Fray OTHER CHARACTERS:: N/A so far ROLE-PLAYING EXPERIENCE:: I've been roleplaying for about 15 years now and have been roleplaying Amidatelion for about two of those. I'm unwell about them. HOW YOU FOUND US:: Disboard, though I legitimately have no idea what tag I used. NOTES FOR CONSIDERATION:: You guys wanna interact with my favorite little nutcase so bad. Also, generally I write Amidatelion as being more than just positive towards Layle (i.e. getting more into crush territory) but I tend to stay unspecific about it in case a Layle RPer actually shows up and isn't comfortable with it. ROLE-PLAY SAMPLE::
Time passes. How much, they do not know, but by their estimation, perhaps a month. Perhaps a year. It all feels the same.
Of course, the people do not forget what they have seen. The mayor of the Sky City has not changed in hundreds of years and she feels that she has seen everything — when she calls a meeting she is genuinely shocked by the sight in front of her as Amidatelion approaches, nearly glowing with crystal in their torso. She asks Amidatelion to recount what they had heard and the people are abuzz with hope as the word Principle bounces from helmet to helmet. There is hope for us. We’re being rescued, finally. Amidatelion is forgotten, but their purpose is not. Their siblings are standing in the middle of a group, talking amongst themselves. Isä and Father simply stare at them from the back.
“I have been granted these powers by the providence of the Crystal Principle.” It had taken time and research to come to this point, but as in all things, Amidatelion had done it alone and come to conclusions about what they needed to know.
How tired they are of doing things alone.
“I swear to you all,” they continue, voice ringing out with strength. “I will stop at nothing to restore our people to our rightful place among the world.” Their people are coming closer, finally. They hang on every word that Amidatelion says. For a moment they feel nearly dizzy with power as they trek onward, their words lighting the way.
“We will be whole again, and we will rejoin society. No longer shall we be cast away to this place where we cannot exist as the proud people that we are. I will show the world that the Yukes are here, and will return!”
It is rare that Yukes show intense happiness, but many do in this moment, rejoicing in the old ways of doing things. No longer will the Yukes be forced to adapt — no longer will they toil at the mercy of an unchanging environment that in turn forces change. Many people linger even after the meeting has ended, to talk with Amidatelion or the mayor, or amongst each other with pride and a lost feeling of happiness. Their family does not wait to talk with them and leaves after realizing how long the line of people is that still wish to talk to the new messiah of the Yuke people.
