The walk was nice as Meliadoul could not help but enjoy stretching her legs. Step by step was in front of her as Celes spoke up about responding with a few of her own stories. Her at least coming up and speaking up about possibly sharing a few of them made her smile widen. Hearing her speak about being a military general and then being brought into a rebellion made her chuckle a little. ”Something similar happened to me. Though on a much smaller scale than yours. Your band of traveling companions sound like such a motley group but at the end of it all it seems that you trusted them.”Responding quickly as Celes seemed to catch her breath as she spoke her own full story bit by bit. Listening to her story just made her sympathize with the other general. Hearing about her opera events brought a light chuckle from Meliadoul. It was truly something that she could not help but attempt to understand. Having to do something in such a different manner as to what she was used to. Hearing the story to its conclusion she could not stifle the laugh anymore. Letting out the laugh she stopped to lean against alow wall that they were passing. Resting her metal covered arms on it she could not help but begin speaking. ”My stories are barely anything like that. Yet I feel as if I should attempt to tell you such a story of what I have done as well.” Turning her gaze out over the city that she could see from her position as she let her mind wander backwards through time. “The best story that I have in a similar vein as to your own is this. One day my company was traveling into a nearby Trade City. Once there a male member of our troop who obviously had a thing for another knight of my group was stumbling as he tried to find her a birthday gift. He had to get the help of two other women in the group. Those two that he had asked where actually her two best friends. Through a series of funny events he wound up stumbling upon his crush and buying her birthday gift right in front of her. .. I always found that amusing.”She spoke about a small misadventure but it seemed to pale in comparison to Celes’ story. Yet with that she could not help but worry that it seemed that all of her adventures were not that great in comparison and it was much darker then anything else. (( Celes Chere ))

Meliadoul could not help but shrug toward Celes when she asked the question about if it was obvious. Lightly touching the bridge of her nose and pinching it lightly. After taking a few moments to breath she couldn't help but smile and look over at Celes as she spoke. ”I think that it is only so with those to whoms life on the battlefield is their constant companion. When you have seen as much as I think we both have, it is plain to see.” Finishing up her words she could not help herself as she smiled widely. Another kindred spirit of her wandering spirit to help others. Though hearing how Celes had been here for several years at this point made her a little curious as to what could be keeping her here. Meliadoul could not help but agree with Celes as she motioned and mentioned going on a walk with her. Meliadoul actually was mulling over what stories she could tell and which she would not with the fellow warrior. ”Stories are just that if one can not back them up. It is why a lot of the time I prefer to let mine actions speak for me instead of words. Perhaps you know a few of more levity instead of going straight into the events that created the women that we are today.” She spoke softly but with purpose as she moved to walk over beside Celes on the path that she had pointed out. She never expected to really run into someone like herself inside of Zephon but this was certainly a welcome change. As she was willing to share some tales of her life and she had the inkling that the two of them were more similar than even she would admit. Stopping as she made her way to the path Meliadoul could not help but stop and rest her hand in practiced motion on her hilt. It was just obvious just how she acted that she was way to used to doing this to stop it even when actually at ease. (( Celes Chere ))

Meliadoul was grateful that the man had ran off so readily. It made her feel much less awkward then she would have had he stuck around. Yet now he would have a good memory from an event that could have been horrifying. Thankfully she was not the hot headed younger woman that she had been when she traveled with Ramza. Turning her attention though fully over to Celes she was grateful that the woman had not made things any more awkward then what it was already. The laugh after her statement of once a soldier always a soldier made her raise a brow ever so slightly. It was unexpected and it seemed to be awkward but she was not going to push it too far. Though the woman seemed to agree with her and reiterate her own feelings. Yet that wonderment slipped away as Celes made the intrigue disappear as she mentioned that she was once a general and that the habits were hard to break. ”My father used to say the same thing. I thankfully never got to his rank but I at one time led men into battle in command. So I understand.”Yet here came the introduction that she had been expecting. Her name was an elegant one and one that Meliadoul could of expected to hear from her own lands. Probably from a nobleman's home more then a commoner in her mind. Listening to the rest of what she was speaking she could not help but smile and nod. ”That is why I agreed to meet the man later. One misstep and error should not lead to ones death or injury. This is not a battlefield so such things need not apply… I am Meliadoul, it is a pleasure to meet you Celes. You hold yourself as a soldier. Your posture and the way you are even standing in the moment. Ever ready for even the slightest of manuevers against you even unarmed.”Meliadoul could not help her appraisal of Celes as unlike Meliadoul who was fully girded for combat anytime that she walked the streets Celes did not look the part of a soldier and yet one could easily acknowledge another if enough time was spent fighting. “I.. just arrived here. Met a few interesting people since I arrived. Every one of them had a story about this world. I can only imagine what yours is Miss Celes.”(( Celes Chere ))

Meliadoul was only slightly concerned that Alex might be touched in the head or underneath the influence of Bacchus Wine as he spoke about how Ivalice was no longer underneath the water but instead was underneath an ocean of sand. There was a moment that she could not help but wonder to herself internally if she had hit her head too hard and wound up running into someone who was a little out there. Yet as he spoke about Auracite her attention came back to sharp focus. Hearing him mention that there are no Lucavi in charge made her relax, if only a little bit. Yet there was still something bothering her and would not stop nibbling at her mind that there was a chance one could still be around. Then came the revelation about Ramza. She could not help but close her eyes and sigh. ”We knew what we were doing would brand us all heretics and lead us to a path that would do naught but damn us. Yet we all chose to walk it and we walked it with our heads held high. A warrior of light you called him? That does fit him and his actions. Him and sister were truly rays of light for the company in that darkened place. Sure I had my sword and my wits but without them I doubt any of our comrades would of made it through to the fight with Saint Ajora and her malformed self of the High Seraph Ultima…”She trailed off realizing just how much she had spoken to the man she had just met. Yet as she finished talking she could not help but look at him as he spoke about the world they were now standing upon. ”Xenophobic and tyrannical in thier laws… Sounds like the world that we tried fighting against. One day they will be laid low but today is not that day.” She quickly spoke as she could not help herself. Sonora certainly sounded like a place that she was going to be avoiding with all her might for now. Not til she found more people that thought in her way. In that time then and only then would she march there and cast them down. The last thing he said though made her smile a little. AS when she was little it was one of the few things he ever wanted to be. ”Shining armor… not quite. More a knight that has seen the world for what it truly is. I walk a path to help anyone and everyone that I can. Low born or high it makes no difference to me. This blade has been tempered in too much blood to ever have the stains come from it. Yet I will keep going forward so that those left in my wake can follow after.” Her words are something that Orlandeau had told her once. His goal with the war and his own skill was to forge a path and take the blood upon himself instead of having someone else do it. Take the sins onto himself. Now she had taken that mentality and now she was living it. (( Alexander Sorel ))

As the tension of the situation hit its apex Meliadoul felt another person enter her peripheral vision. A woman by the momentary glance that she had as her attention was turned back toward the man in front of her. Hearing his words come up from an obviously frightened throat made Meliadoul relax her stance if only a little. So many times in the past things had started in this manner before things would go south in a rapid manner. The man stepped forward and Meliadoul found herself getting ready for a quick attack upon her person and yet there was not one instead there were just words coming from the man’s lips. Apologies came out for startling her and then a beautiful flower was produced and she could not help but smile toward the man as she let her hand drop off her sword hilt. Reaching over she took the flower with a smile beginning to cross her face. Listening to all of his words she could not help but feel the flattery from his words toward her. ”I will gladly take you up on that sir. As an apology for nearly cutting you in twain.” Hearing that the man moved away and smiled toward her. ”How about we meet back here later then?” It was with a smile on the man’s face and a nod he headed off from the two women with a nod toward Meliadoul. As he ran off she could not help but release a sigh that she had been holding. Her hair fell from the kept up place along her head as she let her shoulders collapse just a little. Turning her head as she gathered herself back up she looked over at Celes and gave a slight bow of her head. ”Apologies if I caught your attention, miss. Once a soldier, always a soldier.” Meliadould reached up and moved aside the hair that had fell down so that she was able to fully see Celes. It seemed that this person was a civilian and yet there was just something off putting about her. Something that she could not place a finger on and yet for now she was not going to do anything but attempt to relax after all that unanticipated tension. (( Celes Chere ))

Provo was certainly a place that seemed to hold someone inside of it once they arrived inside of the town. Meliadoul had spent quite a few days here since she had arrived and yet the city's guards were still keeping her inside of the city, not letting her leave. It was almost as if she was a prisoner within a very large gilded cage. A cage that she had placed around herself by her actions in capturing those people for the guards on her arrival to the town. She was grateful though that they at least let her keep her arms and armor. As she knew full well that they could have just taken it from her without much arguments from her. So another day and another walk around the city was in order for the seasoned knight. Despite attempts to relax she knew that her edge and instincts were still sharpened and she was paying attention to every single little thing as she walked along. Catching tidbits about a group that had helped save a town called Torenstein some months before. It seemed that they were the subject of many rumors. Her wariness in meeting many other people made her nervous about a group of people doing good deeds. Despite her own wants to do just that she had a gut feeling that this group would be more aligned with her thoughts then many others. Walking toward the center of town she once more heard a commotion and once more she moved forward into the crowd. In the middle of this crowd she saw two people arguing over something at one of the many vendor stalls that dotted this area. This was certainly not a place for her as she was not a diplomatic person. Her attire made it more obvious she was a take action first type of person then a talk things out person. Thankfully it did not seem to last long as some guards appeared to settle the situation and she moved from the crowd. Yet as she walked along she could not help but feel as if someone's eyes had been on her and she moved to a small park that was not that far from where the argument had been. Walking into the middle of a small clearing she stopped and waited for whoever it was that had followed her to stop as well before speaking as her hand went to the rest of the jeweled hilt of her sword. ”It is not wise to walk upon one who is armed and girded for war. Especially if that person knows that you are already there and came out of the way so none would be hurt should this little encounter devolve into violence. So tell me what I can do for you?”(( Celes Chere ))

Meliadoul could not help herself as she noticed him wince and raise a hand to his forehead she would take a step toward him. It was a reflex for her to want to try and help and yet knew that this was something that this man had to deal with on their own. As it was not some outward wound she could not really assist him. So instead she took that step back away from him and could not help herself as she sighed and glanced around. It seemed that most of the crowd that had gathered when she had dropped a well needed smiting upon the criminals had begun to disperse. Though she did catch the attention that he paid to the nearby construction ruins. It brought a light laugh from her lips as he spoke that it was still under construction. “That is fine. I have slept in worse places and with much worse company than a man who at least appears to be on the up and up” She spoke up as she was showing some modicum of respect to him. As she knew little of Zephon and this man appeared to know at least quite a bit more than her. Her brow raised as he began to speak once more. His grandiose way of pronouncing tomorrow had brought her attention to the word and it lingered on her mind. Being as mentally tough as she was, it was still something that would linger in her mind had he not started into his explanation. She was inside of a new world which was named Zephon. Alongside that she was now inside of the future. A future that her homeland that she had fought and bled for was drowned beneath the waves. “At least with my homeland beneath the waves the Auracite of the Lucavi is beneath the waves as well. Hopefully still buried deep inside of the now decrepit Orbonne. It seems that you are familiar with the future of my homeland. I must know one thing. Are there any Lucavi ruling your world or is there any memory of a man named Ramza Beoulve?” Her words came out calm and quiet. As she was processing what was said and it felt as if this was something that needed to be known to her before she might grasp the situation that she is inside of. This is mostly because of him saying that there was nothing that she could do about it. It was with a slight sagging of her shoulder she could not help but feel a little down that she could not do a single thing about her homeland drowning beneath the waves. Another sigh escaped her lips as she rubbed the bridge of her nose. ”This world… this Zephon as you call it. What is this world all about? Is there a tyrannical tyrant ruling the world? Some church deciding who lives and dies? Or is there some deity doing similar things to both things I spoke about?” Her words came out as she glanced around as she was expecting at least one of these to be the case. Unknowingly she would find that this world would change that mindset. (( Alexander Sorel ))

Meliadoul’s day had been going well as it could be while still being stuck inside of Provo. After meeting with Alex and receiving a hotel room thanks to his guidance she had wandered off. Getting used to learning the city's layout she had been wandering close to a festival that was happening when she was quickly hurried over and asked to judge some chocobo contest. This was something that she was used to as back home she was not the one who did that work back in Ivalice. Though she did spend a short time raising one chocobo after her time with Ramza. One of Boco’s children had come with her and Orlandeau and she had the privilege to raise it. The black sheen of its feathers was a good reminder of old times before it passed away after twenty years. So there was a little familiarity with the birds so hopefully they were not too different to the ones from back home. Though before the man ran off she could not help but notice someone getting flagged down as well and being dragged over to the man. Once more he spelled out everything to them in order to get them up to speed about what was needed to be completed. Glancing over at the other woman Meliadoul made sure to check herself over to make sure that she was about to be presentable as she did remember when the chocobos back home were introduced to the larger audiences at the Cathedral all those nearby would be in their most formal of looks. Waiting for the man to run off she would wait for him to be fifteen feet away before striding over beside Cassandra. Extending a gauntleted hand toward the woman she could not help but give a warm smile. ”Seems we both got pulled into this nonsense from nowhere. Nice to meet you. I am Meliadoul. May I have the name of my fellow ‘judge’ for this fun?”(( Cassandra Amell ))

Meliadoul turned her gaze toward the voice that broke up the cacophony of the people around her. It was a voice directed at her and she could not help but move some of her brown hair out of the way as she took in the man before her. It seemed to be a local, or at least that was what she was thinking that this person was. It was with a sigh she raised her hand up and shrugged toward him. “It seems that way. I wonder if these guards were so swift with everything then those men would not of been able to corner that woman as such and attempt to pilfer her hard earned wages. Ineffective police can only lead to discontent in the masses. I have seen it before…”As she spoke she could not help herself but to look down toward one of her hands. Such time passed and yet she could not help but feel the trials of her past on her hands each day. Though as he continued and introduced himself to her a soft smile would cross her lips. Giving a slight bow of her head as she had grown accustomed to in her days working with Orlandeau after the war had ended she would return his courtesy. ”A pleasure Sir Sorel. I am Meliadoul Tengile, a simple swordswoman and sellsword. You are the head of an adventuring guild? That is actually a boon to me as I need to find a place to gather some coin and to find a room within which I can board as I try and find my way back to Ivalice.”The words were calm and kept going as she could see a glimmer of not having to sleep in the streets or once more going out and sleeping in the wilds outside of town. A light chuckle escaped her lips as she could not help but to allow herself to relax a little as she realized that she had begun to slip back into her old habits once more. Turning toward him she could not hide the formerly gilded armor that had faded as time had gone on beneath her cloak. Placing her sword back upon her hip she could not help but speak once more. “So where is it that your guild hall of yours? I would like to see it before I make a more permanent decision…”(( Alexander Sorel ))

The night was dark and moonless as Meliadoul wandered toward her home through a deep dark forest. She had been traveling for the better part of the day and as she walked a fog began to roll in and cover her and the forest around her. Thankfully her sense of direction was not that bad so that she was heading in the direction that she knew her house was. Though as the night went on she saw the fog getting denser and denser so she decided to stop and take a rest in the nook of a nearby tree. Moving she would close her eyes and rest until she awoke sometime shortly before sunrise. The fog had vanished as she had slept and the dark forest was slowly coming to life. Reaching down she readjusted all of her gear as she stood up before heading toward the exit of the forest. It would take her a few hours to get to the edge of the forest and when she did the plains in front of her were not at all what she was expecting. Blinking several times she attempted to understand why the cold and inhospitable landscape she had grown accustomed to was now a fair and verdant farmland. Walking out into the farmland Meliadoul could not help but be a little wide eyed as she looked at the people. They looked like a hearty industrious lot and she made her way to what she assumed was a major road. This road led her to a small town in which she found out the name of the nearby major town she was told was a several day walk from this town. With that information she thanked the owner of the small restaurant and after refilling her batteries by eating a hearty meal and resting her feet she took off down the road heading toward Provo. As she neared the town she could not help but smile as all she saw were hard working men and women going about their daily tasks. Even when she felt the need to rest she managed to get a room to sleep just by assisting a man in hauling some water to his home for their family and helping with some cooking. There was something with all these people and she could not help but love being with them all as she walked along. Walking up on Provo she could not help but smile at it. As she entered town she could not help but look around. There was something that instantly caught her eye. Three men surrounding a woman who was backed against a wall. Walking toward them she saw one of the men turn toward her and as he drew a blade it was over in but a moment as she moved with a flurry of blows to his chest. The second man had drawn his blade and swung at her. Backing from the man she quickly drew her blade and caught the blade of her opponent with the flat of her blade spinning on her heel she caught him with the butt of the hilt. The last of the three men had taken off running down the road. Raising up her sword magical energies swirled about it and she swung it downward impacting the man with a few bricks of ice from the sky. She turned to the woman and she made sure she was alright as she then took off on her own as the guards gathered up the men and took her words but told her to not leave the town. This made her sigh as she put away her blade, and she could not help but stand after the guards left the area leaving her alone. (( Alexander Sorel ))
